Lovely place to stay plenty of local places to take the dog for a walk and within a 20-25 minute drive you could access numerous other places and towns to visit. Lovely stay and place the hot tub was nice to relax in after long days.

What a wonderful place for a peaceful break away. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a lovely addition too! My son, who loves wildlife photography, absolutely adored the river. He spent every possible moment down there photographing Kingfishers! I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves birds and wildlife.

We’ve had the most wonderful time staying here. The Loft is spotless, beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The views from the hot tub are breathtaking , it’s genuinely like stepping into a postcard! The perfect location for exploring The Dales. Claire and Neil are very welcoming and thoughtful, providing great recommendations. We’d thoroughly recommend staying here and would not hesitate to book again! Thank you for having us x

We had a lovely stay. The accommodation was super sweet and perfect for a calm getaway. The home was decorated well and could tell it was well thought with extra touches such as Prosecco, mini chocolates and robes. Would definitely stay again and the hosts helped us with the hot tub. Thank you!

We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

Hermitage cottage was in a beautiful situation right on the river Lune. The cottage was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the hot tub, the barbecue and the outdoor seating. We were extremely fortunate with the weather and really enjoyed our stay. Walks around the estate were lovely. It is a lovely base to explore the Forest of Bowland and surrounding areas.

Wonderfully peaceful location. Holly Toft is a very comfortable and welcoming place to stay. We paticularly appreciated how much care was given to ensuring the hot tub was spotlessly clean and freshly filled for our arrival. Kathryn is a superb host who clearly cares a lot about her guests. The field full of adorable lambs to look out on was a delightful bonus! Highly recommend! Thank you Kathryn.

we were very impressed with Nicholas house very clean and equipped every thing we needed was there and more Location was great close to restrauants and Thirsk where we had lunch . could not fault it Will definitely go again

What a magical escape! We’ve just spent the most wonderful three days in this beautiful hideaway, and it’s been everything we hoped for and more. Tucked away in such peaceful surroundings, the hideaway was cozy, charming, and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home, milk, eggs, fresh bread to name a few. We enjoyed long walks through the Yorkshire countryside. It was the perfect place to unwind and recharge. Thank you for creating such a special retreat.

What a find ! A great place to stay in a quiet location near the woods which was great for our dog. The accommodation was spotless and had everything we need for our short break. The welcome pack was a bonus with information on things to do and places to eat which is great especially when you have a dog with you,The Alma inn had the best food! Jill is such a lovely welcoming host( but never intrudes ) and was quick to respond to any queries we had. We would definitely recommend a visit and will return someday.

We booked Sarah's place for a weekend away with family, 6 of us and a dog. Its a fantastic little house! Spotlessly clean, well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and a lovely location in a friendly and picturesque village setting. Sarah is a suoer responsive and helpful host, she went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and answer any queries or appeals for local knowledge. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking at visiting the beautiful Peak District.

Wow! What a fantastic place to stay. The cottage was a perfect haven for a relaxing holiday. The scenery was breathtaking, and we spent much of the time gazing out of the window at the dramatic weather and wildlife. We wished we could have stayed longer! We had a great stay at Bluebell cottage - the location is fantastic- Langcliffe is beautiful and there are plenty of walks from the doorstep. The cottage itself is clean and comfortable and has everything you need. The garden is lovely but note if you have an adventurous dog the gate doesn't fasten shut fully so it's not 100% secure. Richard is a very friendly host but message response times were very slow when we had an issue with the WiFi not working. Overall I would recommend staying at the cottage.

Tucked away, in a quiet corner of Haworth, five minutes walk from the bottom end of the main street, the cottage, was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. With plenty to do in the area, the cottage is within ten minutes walk of Haworth's pubs and restaurants, and about 15 minutes from the Bronte Parsonage Museum, at the top of the hill. We parked up, right outside the cottage, when we arrived, and walked everywhere over our weekend's stay.

Had a lovely stay in Silsden, the cottage was exactly as described and very homely, it had everything you need! We did lots of walks along the canal and came back to enjoy the cottage with our very tired pooches. Thanks Mark and Sharon for a lovely stay.

A beautifully renovated cottage ideally located for our visit. Everything in the cottage has been finished to a very high standard making it comfortable and practical without fussiness. Tracey was quick to respond to any questions and the welcome pack provided all the information we needed.

We had a fantastic stay at David’s beautiful and unique accommodation. David was responsive to all queries and made us feel incredibly welcome. He’s clearly passionate about the space he has designed and built — it’s thoughtfully planned, exceptionally well designed, and full of character.The attention to detail throughout is outstanding. We had the best night’s sleep in the enormous, super-comfy bed, and the large walk-in shower was a joy to use. The property is equipped with everything you could possibly need (and more) for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The views from the living area and terrace are lovely. It’s an easy and scenic walk into the centre of Marsden along the canal towpath or a quiet lane, and both the Standedge Tunnel and North of England Centre for Music and Arts with its cafe are just a couple of minutes away on foot. We loved our stay in David’s Thump Cottage. Everything was clean, comfortable and peaceful. We spent a day with David touring the Yorkshire countryside and some beautiful gardens, eventually making our way to a lovely, remote, historical pub. We could not have imagined the beautiful day and friendship we experienced. The town (and all the towns) and area is beyond beautiful. We cooked a few meals in the modern kitchen for breakfast and evening meals (we prefer to be home by dark) or ate leftovers from the huge portions served at restaurants and pubs. (Our afternoons were when we visited the restaurants and pubs.) We plan to return to see David and continue our journey north to Scotland someday ♥️ In other words we highly recommend Thump Cottage 😊 Thank you again, David, for sharing your amazing cottage with us. 🏡

We loved staying in this remote idyllic home. Just right for two, with beautiful views to the south and west. A perfect base for exploring the Lake District. Loved it

Beautiful cottage with lovely views and private location. Everything was super tidy and clean and Sylvia had put some really nice touches in there to make you feel welcome and at home. It had everything you could need and was a really relaxing place. Would definitely recommend.

Just enjoyed a 3 night stay in this beautiful cottage. Host was very responsive and supplied all the information we could have required. We immediately felt very at home , the decor is very tasteful and it was spotless throughout .It's in a great position for exploring the locality, would happily return.

The River Barn exceeded all of our expectations and was even more beautiful than the pictures portrayed. The River Barn was very comfortable (the bed was awesome) and all amenities to prepare meals, enjoy a BBQ or go on a picnic were readily available. The location was perfect for our purposes; we greatly appreciated the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of the property but it also provided easy access to Windemere, Ambleside, Grasmere and Keswick where we enjoyed going on several walks. We can't say enough positive comments about our host, Otto communicated with us on several occasions and provided us with lots of information --- where to eat, where to visit and nearby walks. If interested in enjoying a delicious Sunday roast, be sure to reserve a table early at one of the two pubs within easy walking distance. We highly recommend staying at the River Barn and can't wait to visit again!!

We stayed at The Barn at Cocker House as a short mini-moon, both in need of some chilled relaxation and it's exactly what we got. Lesley was warm and welcoming and the place is an absolute gem. It has everything you could ask for, beautiful surroundings, well equipped kitchen, comfy bed and a cosy wood burner for those slightly chilly evenings. There are plenty of walks in and around the area and great pubs within walking distance if you fancy a drink or a meal out. We would definitely recommend to others.

We had a wonderful stay. Trevor and Jules were a joy to talk to and had a wealth of local information to pass on. No television was needed as the view through the large picture window held our focus throughout the stay. The wildlife around us was very entertaining especially the pheasants, magpie,ducks and alpacas. Jules was very lucky we didn’t steal the two beautiful kittens that they were rearing. We enjoyed Pately Bridge and had a fantastic meal at The Crown Inn. All in all a great visit! Thank you Jules and Trevor!!
