Small cabin in the forest

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle for a few days, Veslestua is highly recommended. There is a road to the cabin, which is without water and electricity. In winter, you can put on your skis right outside and walk 200 meters to groomed ski trails that lead into the forest and across the marshes. The mountain feeling doesn't get any better, 50 minutes from Oslo. Come enjoy this quiet lakeside setting. The property is situated on the edge of the forest, 100 m from a small lake that connects to Storsjøen. There are plenty of hiking tracks in the forest, and we have two bikes for rent so you can explore the countryside roads. Storsjøen is a large lake great for fishing both in the summer and winter. In the summer, you can take the river down to the village of Skarnes, situated on Norway's longest river Glomma. We have a boat, a canoe and a kayak for rent.

The old summer barn of Hovelsrud Gård is idyllically located between Mjøsa and a rolling grain field – a simple and unique place for those who want to get close to nature and enjoy the tranquility of Helgøya.
