Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Skaleta

What a wonderful place for a peaceful few days! The view is breathtaking and the area is just beautiful. The villa is extremely well appointed and has every amenity you could ask for, including a fantastic salt water pool. Hora Sfakion is a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk away and has a choice of shops and tavernas all serving great food. My partner and I stayed with our young baby daughter and Alexandra and Lefteris couldn’t have been more helpful setting up a cot and high chair for our arrival.

Fantastic old traditional house, well preserved and carefully modernized. Kind hosts eager to assist and give recommendations of nice nearby places to visit. Amazing view of the valley.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem Ferienhaus sehr genossen. Die Lage ist ruhig und bietet einen tollen Blick aufs Meer – perfekt, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Die Vermieter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben den Aufenthalt angenehm gestaltet. Alles in allem ein schönes Haus für einen entspannten Urlaub am Strand.

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche in der Villa Manolis. Bei schlechtem Wetter haben wir den Kamin genossen, bei gutem Wetter den Pool. Sowohl Herr Manolis, als auch Emmanuel & Yannis waren sehr zuvorkommend und stets um unser Wohlergehen bemüht. Herr Manolis hat uns sogar frischen Fisch vom Fischer besorgt, der hervorragend war. Das WLAN war super, sodass man auch von dort arbeiten kann. Und wir haben sehr schöne Strände innerhalb von 12-25 Minuten erreichen können. Insgesamt ist es innen ein wenig dunkler als die Fotos vermuten lassen, im Idealfall ist man aber ohnehin draußen :)

Absolutely magical! Roula’s stone house is an incredibly picturesque and charming place to stay. The terrace is a dream – shaded naturally by a tree and offering a stunning view of the sunset. The house is beautifully and comfortably furnished, with everything you might need. A little heads-up for tall people: the doorway to the terrace is a bit low – you might want to duck (don’t worry, we laughed every time!). There are some fantastic tavernas just around the corner, and it’s the perfect starting point for scenic hikes through the area. We loved every minute of our stay and would come back in a heartbeat!

This property is on the top of our list of all of the Super-host level properties we’ve been at whether Air B&B or any other platform. Premium quality and high marks for design aesthetics promoting maximum relaxation inside or in the yard with breathtaking views all day long and spectacular sunsets. All meals at the property must be had out doors! It was a perfect retreat after long days of sightseeing. We would rent it again in a heartbeat and will recommend it to family. John & Autumn

Heerlijk verblijf in een serene omgeving. Prachtig uitzicht richting zee, fijn zwembad en grote, smaakvol ingerichte kamers. Wij konden hier echt tot rust komen. Je hebt wel meestal een auto nodig om restaurantjes of nabijgelegen dorpjes te bezoeken. Voor ons geen probleem, wij genoten juist van de rust.

This house is an extremely special place. The view from the balcony into the valley was absolutely stunning, the furnishings are lovely and tasteful, and the recommendations that Apo provided were spot on. The tavern in the village fed us fit to burst, and we couldn’t stop talking about how we hope to return again someday. Thank you for sharing this beautiful space with us ❤️

Very nice Airbnb in a great location walkable to the port, perfect for ferry access. Airbnb was spotless, had a nice balcony and very nice lighting features throughout. Host was quickly responsive & friendly! Thanks for a great stay

Sises ciems ir mierīgs un ļoti patīkams, ciemā atrodas divas tavernas un divi veikali, blakus atrodas centrālā šoseja, kas mūsu gadījumā bija dikti ērti, jo bijām noīrējuši mašīnu, lai apbraukātu salas rietumu pusi, kā arī ar mašīnu 4 minūšu attālumā atrodas jauka pludmale. Atrodoties šajā dzīvoklī un ciematā mēs izbaudījām nesteidzīgo Krētas atmosfēru un piepilsētas dzīvi, ar visiem tās labumiem. Nikos ar savu ģimeni mūsu uzņemšanas laikā bija ļoti draudzīgi un viesmīlīgi un atstāja tikai tās labākās atmiņas no mūsu ceļojuma. This apartment is amazing same as his owner - Stella. It’s so quiet, homely, and good territory around: olives trees, you can see not so far sea. In apartment was waiting for us local vine and raki and fruits like a present from owner. The apartment was clean, big, with all necessary staff like forks, spoons , glasses, plates, hairdryer, bedlinnen, airconditioner etc. It’s not in the city center but if you have a car only 5min and you in loudly area. Parking is free in the apartment’s territory. Also Stella adviced us two the best local tavernas with the most tasty food and sea view😍 Higly recommend, very kindly owner and beautiful apartment, will back for sure.

Niki and Cristos were really lovely and friendly hosts. Fresh flowers, homemade biscuits and cake, wine etc were provided and left in the apartment. The apartment was bright and clean. They treated us as family and really made us feel at home. Surrounded by the most amazing mountains. Beautiful people on beautiful Bali. What more could you ask for? Eif charisto! Stavros was fantastic, as was the history of this wonderful place. Rethymno was a beautiful town and we explored everywhere on foot. We decided on walking in the morning and then having a late lunch (each lunch was fantastic) and walking back up the hill to have a light supper on the deck at sunset. Beautiful and thank you so much for the care you put into your house to make it a wonderful experience.

The photos do not do this beautiful place justice. The flowers and greens are so bright, and you have a view of mountains and the sea. Tina is incredibly kind and accommodating, and very easy to communicate with. She sent me home with some wonderful herbs from her garden - they smell amazing! She also treated me to some homemade Cretan cake she baked at the start of my trip. As a solo traveller, this was incredibly special and I am so grateful to her. Driving around the area is fantastic with so many beaches and hikes in the surrounding area. The space is very clean and comfortable! I hope to one day return.

Ravis de notre séjour ! Nous avons été très bien accueillis, avec des spécialités sucrées et salées sur la table ! Des sodas et des fruits dans le frigidaire. Il ne manquait rien. Un parc magnifique avec des oliviers, orangers….. avec une vue sur la mer au loin. Un grand restaurant juste en face. Très bien situé pour visiter les alentours . Prévoir juste un véhicule pour aller faire les courses . Je recommande

Wir waren eine Woche in diesem schönen Appartement. Die wunderbare Aussicht auf das Meer, über Olivenhaine und auf die Berge hat uns beeindruckt. Von der traumhaften Terrasse mit dem schönen Whirlpool und auch von den zwei Balkonen ist es möglich, zu jeder Tageszeit alle Himmelsrichtungen zu genießen. Die Kommunikation mit Chara war freundlich und problemlos. Sie hat sich persönlich mit einem kleinen Präsent von uns verabschiedet.

This is absolutely our favorite Airbnb that we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot). The place is adorable. Katerina is very responsive and lives right by the apartment. The view is wonderful, and both the living room and twin bedroom have doors that open onto that view. It has everything you need and more, with Katerina providing treats and even cereal and milk for that first morning. The air conditioning worked well, but there is also a lovely breeze from the sea. There are tons of restaurants and cafes just below the apartment as well as with 5 and 10 minutes walk in Old Town. It would be comfortable for a couple and a third person (such as a child) or two people, each with their own room. The washing machine was great to have, and you can dry clothes on the lines off the balcony. We did not want to leave.

We had a wonderful stay. The apartment is comfortable, well equipped and quiet with an absolutely stunning view from the balcony which we enjoyed spending lots of time on. Parking was easy on the road outside. The bathroom, while basic, was functional. We would highly recommend this accommodation to others.

Pobyt v Athina's apartmánu byl velmi příjemný, všechno jsme měli na dosah. Cesta na letiště trvá něco málo přes 15 minut a zastávka je pár metrů od budovy. Vybavení bytu bylo krásné a cítili jsme se tam jako doma. Součástí vybavení byla i klimatizace, která byla skvělým společníkem, zároveň jsme rádi využívali i balkon, kde se člověk mohl nasnídat. Komunikace s hostitelkou byla vždy pohotová, získali jsme potřebné informace a k bytu jsme se dostali hned. I příjezd byl velmi flexibilní, což jsme hodně ocenili.

Tasos est un hôte extrêmement accueillant. À notre arrivée tardive, nous avons trouvé un frigo et un congélateur généreusement garni. Des fruits, des confitures, des biscottes et des boissons fraîches et chaudes nous attendaient. Et Tasos a été absolument adorable pour nous faciliter le séjour. Nous lui en sommes très reconnaissants. Son appartement est très agréable , le jacuzzi et la vue magnifique en font une perle rare. Nous recommandons vivement cette location, encore plus appréciée grâce aux nombreux détails auxquels Tasos a pensé.

A lovely clean place newly equipped with furniture, v comfy bed mattress and a lovely new bathroom with a shower. Lovely balcony with a table and two chairs where you can enjoy the coffee. Close to the sea but this location doesn’t face the sea. Walkable distances close to the old town, many restaurants and supermarkets nearby. V good transportation bus stop close enable to visit other places/seaside. It was worth the money paid for accommodation. Last and not least, the communication with manager Stavros was outstanding . Thank you for the lovely holiday!

A lovely modern condo in the heart of Heraklion. Located next to a mini market and delicious bakery, this spot is in a great location. We especially loved the rooftop space!

Anna is an incredibly kind and helpful host, and her lovely apartment is located walking distance to the beautiful old town. It was perfect for my short visit. :)
