Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Skagafjörður

We felt right at home, both because the house was very warm and welcoming and because our hosts were amazing. The were super friendly from the start and even gave us an heads up to go out and look at the northern lights as they were happening. The island is very cute and fairly easy to access via ferry and was a great place to watch the northern lights considering the low light pollution.

We felt very comfortable! The apartment is a good starting point to explore the north.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely house. Everything was nearby and the town was really cute. Definetly Wörth a visit when staying in the north of iceland.

Our stay in Öxnadalur was one of the most impressive we’ve ever had. The house was charming and we felt immediately at home. The surrounding nature and view on the mountains is breathtaking! We spent hours sipping coffee at the fire place, while the wind and snow were howling outside or watching beautiful northern lights right in front of the door. Sif and Oli were always very helpful when we were asking for any help or recommendations. It is definitely worth a visit and a real adventure in winter times.

We spent a lovely night at Karuna Guest House. Our room exceeded our expectations, it was decorated so nicely and had a pretty view over the fields. We even had a sink in our room, so we only had to go to the shared bathroom to use the toilet or shower. When we first used the bathrooms they were very clean, the next morning one toilet wasn‘t very clean anymore thanks to the other guests. The kitchen was very well equipped and for us no problem to work around the other guests. I was glad that we had one of the rooms upstairs, since the walls are very thin and the room downstairs is located next to the bathrooms and kitchen. We had no problems with noise during the night because the other guests weren‘t loud, thankfully. Overall the shared rooms are very nice and we had a great experience! We were able to see the horses in the evening and enjoy the amazing view.

Very nice house in a peaceful corner, lit up at night. The kitchen was very good and the bedrooms on the same floor as well, the sofa bed was very comfortable Has a washing machine and a very convenient dryer, all the necessary spices and condiments In addition, Margret was ready to change our arrival dates at her place due to bad weather and our uncertainty of arriving on the right day. The only small problem is the room which is in the basement, very humid Other than that we had a great time at Margret's place
