In town, you will find all the services you need: tourist information, grocery shop, restaurant, petrol station, ATM, swimming pool, and more. From the natural hot tub at the center of the well-maintained cottage site, you can enjoy the golden light of the midnight sun or watch the northern lights. You will stay in one of our four studio-style 2-person cottages. They range from 30 to 36 square meters in size and feature different decoration. You can choose to have one large double bed or two single beds in your cottage. Please state at the time of booking which one you require.

We would like to welcome you to come and stay in our lovely guesthouse at our farm in the heart of Skagafjordur. Here you can relax and enjoy your evening in our hot tub, take a walk to visit our calm and gentle horses, we also own a beautiful lake and we are "forest farmers" i.e. we plant 10.000 trees each year and we can highly recommend a stroll through our young forest to the lake. There will be sheep, chicken, cats and dogs around and next to the house there is a beautiful old church:)

PLEASE NOTICE: The island is located in the northern part of Iceland. It is a five-hour drive from Reykjavik. And you need to take a ferry to get there. No cars, pedestrians only. The house is well located behind the church in the old town of Sauðárkrókur, just off the Main Street where you will find various services such as bakeries, restaurants, museums. Swimming pool is within walking distance. Just off the house is the church path that takes you up to the Nafs above the town with views of the fjord and the islands. It is a short walk down to the marina and funicular.

Hi. We have a vacation cottage for rent at a farm near Akureyri. Distance to Akureyri is 20min driving. The cottage is located on our farmland and we live in the farmhouse about 800m away up the hill. We do not farm livestock but there might be the occasional sheep grazing the fields. Guests are welcome to pick mushroom on the land and august is prime blueberry season and you can pick blueberries right outside the cottage.

We spent 11 days in this cosy apartment and really recommend staying here. It is located in a quiet and beautiful area close to Akureyri. The beds were comfortable and we had everthing we needed. Anna and her team were always very friendly and helpful. Our daughters enjoyed the horse back riding very, very much. We would like to come back again.

Beautiful historical house

A computer glitch deleted our original pre-paid booking at a place which we reserved 5 months prior in Blönduós, and we were scrambling to find lodging. Fortunately, Gunnar was able to accommodate us last-minute at his recently renovated historical home in Sauðárkrókur. The kitchen has modern appliances and the twin mattresses were high quality and comfortable. The house is located walking distance from local restaurants and I enjoyed looking at the fjord from the windows.

this cabin is a recent build in a stunning location and nicely staged. the beds were comfortable and the linens all high end. the small kitchenette is suitable for very light meals, i.e. soup and sandwiches. a very lovely cabin in a peaceful setting. .

Tina’s home is very comfortable and clean. Since it’s her home, the kitchen is fully stocked and Tinna invited us to help ourselves to a variety of foods (thank you for the peanut butter!). A great place for children but note that the bathroom is on the first floor while the bedrooms are upstairs. The geothermal shower is awesome! We had trouble with the front door lock but Tina came right over when we called her and showed us the trick. We enjoyed our stay and would book again.

This was a beautiful house tucked away in Olafsfjordur. It looked exactly like the pictures and was very clean. The hot tub was a great way to wind down at the end of the day and the weight room in the garage was a welcomed activity after long hours driving around the countryside. Would definitely stay here again!

A true delight to stay at Helga's cottage... perfectly spotless cabin with thoughtful touches to make you feel right at home, and fantastic information on the local area. Siglufjordur is a hidden gem in Iceland, the herring museum is a must - it's so well done, the bakery was a great recommendation from Helga, and you are nestled right on a hill in a beautiful fjord, where everything is walkable including hikes on the hillside... truly a highlight of our Icelandic vacation. Can't wait to go back. We can't recommend it enough. (The hot tub was absolutely wonderful!)
