The Granary at Coes Vineyard, East Sussex

ArmandoRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We had a wonderful stay at The Granary. The setting is exceptional and you feel like you’re in a historic hamlet in the middle of beautiful, peaceful countryside. The hosts were great, leaving us to our own devices but on hand and responsive if needed. The Granary has been expertly restored as have the other historical buildings on site and the grounds are beautifully presented. We had everything we needed in the property. We would highly recommend booking a stay. Don’t forget your swim wear - the pool and jacuzzi are fantastic!

Oak Cottage with private log fired jacuzzi hot tub

CharlotteRating, 5 stars3 months ago
What a hidden gem of a place! We feel so lucky to have found Stable Oak Cottages and to have spent New Year there with our family celebrating our sons 18th. The place was gorgeous and the hot tub such a treat! The alpacas were great entertainment and the luxurious little touches from bath robes and sliders, to home baked bread and muffins were just wonderful. Highly recommend.

Plantagenet: A Historic Country Cottage with Pool

KathleneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We enjoyed a wonderful long Easter weekend in this charming cottage. The space was cozy and perfectly appointed, lots of old charm - original cottage was built in 1550! - and special touches that delighted our children and made us feel like we were in quite a magical little space. The gardens are beyond gorgeous and just a lovely space to sit in the sunshine and watch our children play. It was a wonderful weekend filled with children’s laughter, bird song and cozy nights by the fire as a family. Thank you Tim & Maite for sharing your gorgeous cottage with us. The children are already asking we come back soon!

Beautiful, Summer Retreat + Hot Tub

AishaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Alison was a friendly and lovely host. She offered picking me and my friend from the train station when we first arrived and also offered to give us a lift to certain places. It felt like she was our mother in a way that she took care and looked out for us. The communication between us was good, Alison had given me her number in case we needed anything. Alison had set up the treehouse for us so we could watch the sunset which was so beautiful and we had the hammocks out which was relaxing. I would 100% recommend, there’s a lovely Village called Cranbrook where the people are very polite and welcoming. We visited a restaurant named Jumeira which had the most tasty Indian food I have tasted. Overall was an extremely enjoyable experience in the countryside, I would definitely want to visit again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at studio cottage as it was spotlessly clean, had lovely linen and towels, great dressing room, bathroom and kitchen which was well equipped for our requirements. We would like to say a big thank you. We had a fantastic weekend stay at this property. The garden was 100% safe for our dog and we found it nice and quiet, surrounded by nature and orchards. Mark had left lots of leaflets showing what's going on in the area, and was very kind to recommend places to visit and eat/drink. The accommodation was designed and decorated with alot of thought and attention to detail, to establish a very comfortable stay. We will certainly be visiting again.

I could not have started my month long visit to England in a better place! Dawn and her home made me feel right at home, the garden teeming with beautiful flowers, doves cooing and birds chirping. The nearby CoOp had everything needed to stock the kitchen. The Nature Preserve around the corner made for special walks and talks. Her artistic nature was evident throughout the house and garden. A very special place and lovely person.

Charming Cottage in a peaceful and rural setting

GillRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Diana’s beautiful countryside cottage is nestled into the East Sussex countryside, providing a quiet and remote getaway, but within easy drive of shops and several lovely Sussex towns and villages. Beautiful walks in the area.. in the winter bring your waterproof boots and enjoy!! Great for a stay with family or friends, lots of lovely spaces in the house ( the photos don’t do it justice). We stayed between Christmas and new year, so we appreciated and enjoyed the abundance of coal for our daily evening fires, providing a warm and very cozy atmosphere. Very well equipped kitchen with enough space around the table for 6 or 7 people. All our needs were met. Well worth a stay, I would highly recommend this place and we will surely return! Gill

Walnut Tree Cottage - beautiful gardens!

NeilRating, 5 stars14 months ago
Great cottage in a beautiful location. Garden, and the snowdrops were stunning. The only downside was the very low ceilings. Anyone of average height is likely to hit their head on the beam in the kitchen. This was mentioned in other reviews, and expected in an old cottage, but was not mentioned in the description.

We had the most amazing stay. The cottage was immaculate with so many thoughtful additional touches. The surroundings were peaceful with views to die for and Jo’s gardens were very pretty! The wildlife was amazing and we saw badgers and foxes up close! We only stayed for two nights while we were visiting Port Lymphe and the location was ideal… We highly recommend Jo and her cottage, we wish we could have stayed longer and we would love to return! Thank you so much!

Great little cottage with well utilised space, ample sized bedrooms and living/kitchen area and the sun trap garden out back is lovely. Perfect location, right by the beach but tucked away so very quiet. Big off road parking area right out front too. Well equipped on the whole but note for anyone with young families there is no microwave or dishwasher, so be prepared for oven/hob heated food and quite a bit of washing up by hand. Also no shampoo/conditioner provided so be sure to bring your own or ready to buy some!
