Villa vacation rentals in Sintra

Our stay was wonderful. Luis was the quintessential host. We loved hanging out in the garden in the sunshine and moonshine. However, there was a bit of early morning street noise.

We loved this home- very convenient to Sintra and the beaches, wonderful cafe nearby, and charming comfortable home. Enjoyed the outdoor space for relaxing or dining. We would definitely stay again. Rosa was very kind and accommodating when our plans changed and we were able to book an additional night.

Absolutely the perfect place. The roof terrace was amazing for morning coffee and sunbathing, while in the evening it was such a cozy place to drink a few super bocks. Inside was modern with a clean bathroom. Kitchen had everything we needed.

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour dans la location de Luciano qui était accueillante, lumineuse et confortable...on était comme chez nous. A la moindre demande, Luciano répondait en moins de 5 minutes. Fontanelas est bien située et permet de belles balades dans les villes alentours. Tout était impeccable juste le temps qui est passé trop vite, il y a tant de belles choses à découvrir...heureusement, il y a les photos prises. Cette location est parfaite, l'idéale serait de rester 2 semaines. Je la recommande, venez sans hésiter et vous serez charmés. Merci Luciano ! A une fois prochaine. Marie Thérèse

Our time spent in Portugal was amazing, and Vasco's location was perfect there was a view of the ocean and the surrounding mountains, and it was only a 5 mile ride to the ocean and the local town of Cascais and all the ocean front restaurants, will definitely visit again.

Excellent location, a few minutes’ walk from a fine beach with restaurants, waves, and surfing. Great well-equipped private villa with expansive grounds and a swimming pool. Rui and Helena are excellent hosts and provided great care and attention during our stay. Hope to return in the future.

We can only give our very best recommendations. Beautiful house and surroundings as well as a very well equipped kitchen! Filipa was very responsive, flexible with check-in and check-out, and we felt very well looked after throughout our stay.

The owner was very friendly and helpful, the house is as described, very spacious with lots of bedrooms, three bathrooms and clear instructions of where all the tools and stuff were. The place was a bit hard to find in the maps but not the owner's fault, also the entry gate is very narrow so take care. In terms of improvements we were missing a table cloth for the living room table as it is pure wood and we were afraid of damaging it. Other than that it's a great place

Nous avons passé 8 nuits en août dans ce cadre à la fois paisible et enchanteur, et qui plus est, à proximité de belles villes à visiter telles que Lisbonne, Sintra, ou Cascais. Le cadre et l’environnement extérieur etaient à couper le souffle. Quelle sérénité ! Nous avons passé d’agréables couchers de soleil autour du barbecue (mention spéciale pour ce dernier) et de la piscine. La piscine aurait toutefois mérité 3 degrés de plus en journée ; en effet, cette région est un peu moins chaude (en moyenne 25 C) que le nord du pays ou que l’Algarve, et est aussi exposée au vent. Seul petit bémol pour la musique un peu forte à proximité due à la fête annuelle de village qui durait quelques jours et qui tombait pendant notre séjour. Mais ce genre de festivités est courant au Portugal au mois d’août. Les hôtes ont été agréables et accueillants et se sont montrés disponibles. C’est toujours plus agréable de disposer d’hôtes qui vivent à proximité plutôt que d’un simple trousseau de clés !

Quinta da Bella Vista exceeded expectations. Dinesh, who checked us in, truly set the mood for our elopement with welcoming jazz music, wine, and cheese. The space was much larger than we anticipated, perfect for our pre-wedding prep. We loved it so much, we added an extra day to soak it all in! Aline and Dinesh's hospitality went above and beyond – their responsiveness to our needs made everything seamless. We couldn't resist adding the delicious breakfast each day (highly recommend!), fueling our explorations of the charming town within walking distance. Evenings were spent enjoying deliveries via the Glovo app, perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure. The Quinta itself is breathtaking – stunning grounds, incredible views, and beautiful architecture. It couldn't have been a more magical place to celebrate our elopement. Quinta da Bella Vista holds a very special place in our hearts, and we'll definitely be back for anniversaries and any other excuse we can find!

Beautiful house in a great location close to Sintra. Cat highly recommended to get around.

A house packed with character, personality and authenticity. The outside deck is unbeatable, best seats in the house for watching the beautiful sunsets with a glass of something chilled in the hot tub! Kitchen fully equipped for cooking in, or restaurants and kiosk bar in walking distance if going out. The coastal path runs by the door, so amazing hikes along the cliffs as you step out. We’ll be back!

This is a superb property for a group/ large family holiday. The pictures hardly do it justice and with the pool, padel court, bbq and pizza oven there is so much to entertain everyone during the stay. Elisa provided some great recommendations for the area and met us at the property for check in to ensure we settled in very quickly. The local beach at Magoito was only 8 mins drive away and food at Duna Mar was great so well worth a visit.

Vi kom fram långt senare än vi hoppades, men Joana och Rodrigo var väldigt flexibla och hjälpsamma. Innan avresan fick jag snabba svar på frågor och även hjälp med tips på önskade utflyktsmål. Underbar utemiljö med härlig trädgård och pool. Alla tänkbara bekvämligheter i huset. I o m avskildheten så är det bra med hyrbil

Beautiful villa and great location. The Villa had so many facilities to suit the whole family. The grounds were spacious & very clean. Communication from Nuno & team was excellent. Lovely personal check in & out from host Vanessa. A guide was provided by Nuno prior to arrival and this was so helpful in planning our trip. Nuno provided contacts for airport transfer & massages which we had at the Villa. Gardeners attend the villa on Fridays so don’t book massages for this day like we did as not so relaxing as massages are done outside in greenhouse. Local market down the road on weekends and shop across the road (only open for half our week stay). Short walk (10 mins) to a local village with a well stocked shop, coffee shop, Ice cream shop, restaurant etc we also used Uber to go beach & continente supermarket. We had a problem with the pool during our stay but this was quickly resolved by Nuno & team. We are already planning our return trip. Highly recommend booking

Our family had a wonderful time at the house. We loved the swimmingpool and the big garden. In the kitchen is everything you need for cooking. Special thanks to Sandra, the co-host. She made us feel very welcome! She responded quickly all the time and had the best tips for Sintra. She made our stay perfect💛

This house worked out very well for two families with kids. It's very big and spread out with lots of sleeping options. There's a tiny bit of wear and tear and we did have to buy/bring all of our own basic kitchen supplies like spices, oils, sugar, salt and pepper, toilet paper, paper towels, shower soaps. But we loved that the house provided beach supplies like chairs, boogie boards, and umbrellas and yoga mats. Nothing much in walking distance but several excellent beaches and places to eat within a few miles. The pool and ping pong table were fantastic and we would definitely recommend this place for a group of travelers. We had a fabulous time. :-)

We loved our week in Laura’s house! We arrived very late in the evening but that was no issue at all because we could collect the key via lockbox. The house and property looked even better than expected from the photos! Everything is well maintained and renovated, but still with some south European Oceanside Charme. The size of the house was perfect for 6 adults (3 couples) with its two bathrooms. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. The pool is not heated (we obviously knew this in advance) but after a couple minutes you get used to it :D We had everything we could ask for in and around the house. As mentioned in other reviews there are a lot of dogs in the neighborhood. I don’t think they were as loud as people make it out to be. They are not in the direct neighboring houses so it is a rather distant sound I think. I didn’t hear them at night. If so you would just need to close the window. All in all it was a perfect stay at Laura’s and we’d do it again!

Artur and Eduarda’s villa was absolutely amazing. My parents were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary and wanted to make it truly special. The villa felt like a warm, welcoming home—honestly, even more fully equipped than my own house. Artur and Eduarda clearly care deeply about the property, and it shows in every detail. The house is spotless and meticulously maintained. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful place to spend quality time with family, while still having enough space for privacy.

We had a fantastic time. We were a group of eight adults and five children between the ages of 7 months and 3 years. There was plenty of space and the swimming pool and sandpit were great. It was lovely to have the outdoor eating space to spend time relaxing, and there was all the practical stuff we needed - two dishwashers, lots of plates and bowls, multiple bathrooms. Sandra was very communicative throughout and made a lot of effort, including buying an extra high chair for us. We would happily stay again and recommend it for a group holiday with children.

Just back from our family holiday at the villa , what a beautiful place we are a family of 6 kids aged 12,9 and 7 , the pool was fantastic the surroundings were beautiful , you definitely need a car as we visited local beaches and restaurants , we drove to beaches in the morning and back to the pool and lounging for the afternoon , I can’t fault this place at all I can’t describe how much we enjoyed it it was just perfect for our family holiday we were sad to leave the villa as it was just perfect ,thank you again and we will definitely be back , Jennifer x
