We had one of our best vacations at this beautiful home in Magoito, Portugal. The house was even more stunning than expected—peaceful, quiet, with breathtaking sunsets and just a short walk to the beach. It was the perfect escape from the city. Our hosts, Chen and Ms. Yang, were kind, responsive, and incredibly helpful. Chen gave us great local recommendations and quickly resolved any small issues. When we lost power and Wi-Fi, Ms. Yang came personally to help. Nila, who came to clean, was lovely and warm—even with a language barrier, we understood each other. When we left items in an Uber, Chen helped us retrieve them. Uber is reliable and affordable if you're not driving, and the drivers were polite even if they didn’t speak English. We felt completely cared for and would absolutely stay again. I highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable coastal getaway!

We had a wonderful time at Ricardo‘s place. It’s close to the beach, grocery store, restaurants and the house is situated on a large property with a pool in the back. I look forward to coming back in the summer! Ricardo was great as a host and Pedro was incredibly helpful to figure things out and provide local recommendations.

We had a great time at casa lua at Quinta da Bella vista!! It is very close or walkable to the great attractions like Quinta da regaleira. You may still want to take a tuktuk to the big attractions like Peña palace and regaleira as parking is hard to find there however parking at this airbnb is perfect and included. We stayed in February so the pool was there but chilly. My kids had a blast on the trampoline which we had not expected, so a lovely surprise! The property and property manager Dinesh was very flexible with our late arrival and very helpful during our stay. We would absolutely come back in future!!!

This was one of the best Air BnBs in which I’ve ever stayed !! It had everything! It is cozy and bright and spotless. The bed and linens were outstandingly comfy. It was cold outside so I did not use the pool but it would be so fantastic in the summer. And the view!!!! And the quaint waterfalls and gorgeous flowers. I loved everything about this place. I highly, highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

Carla & Rui's apartment was very nice. Everything you needed is there. Even for the baby, everything was there. It was cozy and you had plenty of space. The area towards the sea and Ericeira is super beautiful to explore. Carla & Rui were very helpful and took great care. Everything is great!

Great place for two or a couple with a child (bedroom and sofa-bed). Appreciated good heaters in bedroom and main room. Out of the way behind the palace, no problem parking.

We had such a great time in Filipe's place. The house is beautiful and lovely with all the equipment and amenities you need. The location is perfect, 40min drive to Lisbon, 20min drive to Sintra and Cascais, and 20min walk to the nearest beach. The surrounding area is so nice with green mountains, coastlines, good restaurants, and great markets. Filipe is a great host. He sent us the exact location before our arrival and walked us through everything in the house. He sent us tons of good information regarding restaurants and attractions around. We went to almost all the restaurants he recommended and everyone of them is great! Also he helped us connect with a few local caters and we had a great time interacting with them. Thanks again, Filipe!! Last but definitely not least, the local people are so kind and friendly. To my surprise, they all speak good English and communication is not a problem at all. I fell in love with the country and the people and will definitely come back!

Márcio was a great host, The view of the apartment is wonderful. You look over Malveira da Serra and Cascais to the ocean. The apartment is cozy, very clean and equipped with all kinds of comforts. This place is magical! Truly a special experience. Set in the hills of Sintra with incredible scenery, beautiful views, and a house that feels like a home. We were traveling with family and rented both the main house and basement studio. There was plenty of space for everyone. And the accommodations are set up like individual apartments with kitchens and bathrooms / en suites. It's about a 35 minute drive into Lisbon and worth it to stay outside of the city and congestion of tourism. Going back to the house in the evening and making a fire was the perfect end to the day. And waking up there with birds chirping and the sun beaming on the hills, is like heaven. Could not recommend it more. Thank you to Joanna and her family for making ours feel so welcome!

Great place located in historical town. We enjoyed driving through the old narrow streets, felt like a fairy tale. The place is very modern inside and had all the amenities. Perfect location to explore Sintra and surroundings. Quiet area, and hosts were responsive and helpful.

Pedro’s place in Sintra was perfect to base ourselves for two days of walking. He was amazing at responding to questions and helped us find a place to park our car. It was so lovely to stay in the old town and experience at night when it is quiet and so peaceful. Thank you for such an amazing stay.

This is like a magical secret garden and so charming! We loved the grounds and gardens and the fact that we were right by the Regaliera, you could see it from the bathroom window! It was such a beautiful stay and you could see the Moorish castle up on the hill every night and the beautiful hotel across the street was stunning as well. I loved every minute staying at Ana's beautiful property and in Sintra. There is so much to see. The only thing I would mention is that it is hard to drive around Sintra and from this property since it is a one way street and you have to drive at least 20 min to get back into town. Definitely would recommend walking everywhere and not driving as it takes so much longer and the streets are hard to navigate.

Charming and beautiful house, decorated with care and very clean, everything was spotless upon arrival. The bedding is great. The kitchen is fully equipped. Conveniently located near the station. However the railway is facing the house, it would have been important to specify this in the description.

We enjoyed a perfect stay, a very quiet location and close to many places of interest. Célia has taken care of giving us many recommendations and that have been very useful

What a beautiful location, short walk to the city center, short walk to some stunning views, or just hang out by the pool. We would definitely stay again!!

Francisco and his brother were wonderful hosts! When Francisco found out I was in the area looking to buy properties, he introduced me to his neighbors and went out of his way to be helpful. His home is comfortable, clean, and charming. Parking on the street was no problem. I would gladly stay here again!

Cool as ever

We enoyed the week in this wonderful location. The garden and way to the sea was such a wonderful experience. the House is cute, has everything you need. it was a bit cold in the evening, so we started a fire in the oven and had also an electric heater - that worked awesome! we will come.back one day :)

Casa da Encosta is a special place.  As others have mentioned, it's a lovely, cozy, comfortable estate with ample amenities and an ideal location for those wishing to explore the region. Our family chose it for these reasons--for its obvious charm, the idyllic hillside setting, spectacular views, & its proximity to sites we intended to visit--but ultimately the property itself became the destination.  We delighted in the place so thoroughly we seldom left.  It is a rare treat for an accommodation to become the centerpiece of our travel experience but here we tasted life in the traditional village of Penedo, high in the hills of Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, surrounded by the Casa's peaceful, verdant gardens and terrace views of neighboring quintas and the sea. Duarte & Kjersti were gracious hosts; incredibly generous, responsive and accommodating of our every whim. We extended our stay twice & have our fingers crossed they will receive us again.  Assuredly, this is the one to book ; )
