Vacation rentals with breakfast in Sigiriya

Gayan’s property was amazingly serene and peaceful. Host was very responsive and prompt in her actions. Morning breakfast offered by Gayan was the best meal I had during my visit to Srilanka. This place is highly recommended if you want to have some ‘Me’ time away from hustle bustle of crowded hotel and properties.

As we had booked all four chalets, the host Dilum kindly provided the use of the villa at the end of drive. This was a significant and wonderful surprise. The villa was very spacious and was over and above our expectations. We enjoyed this space greatly and we were looked after brilliantly by Morgan. The breakfasts were tasty and always on time and more than we could eat everyday. Morgan also joined in with our impromptu cricket matches 🤩🫶 The space was private and luxurious and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone seeking something similar while exploring Dambulla and the surrounding tourist sites. We would definitely go there again 🙌🥰

Theese apartments are really comfortable and beautiful. The special location, the rooms and the bathrooms are nice and perfect. And the pool is amazing. And I would like to gratefully thank to Isanka and his beautiful family too welcomed us for her endless kindness and hospitality. They did everything to make us feel as good as possible. They made us delicious Srí Lankan breakfasts every morning, and a super tasty dinner with Kottu, noodle, rice, curry, papadums, sauce, etc... Mmmmm. :) And the tuktuk! They took us everywhere we asked. Thank you very much for treating us with such a care like this. 🙏 <3

Die Unterkunft von Tharu ist sehr schön, das Frühstück ist toll und auch das bestellte Abendessen sehr zu empfehlen. Die Unterkunft ist zwar abseits gelegen, aber wenn man sein Ausflugsprogramm hat ist das total nebensächlich. Nach dem Ausflugsprogramm im Swimmingpool sich abzukühlen war herrlich. Die Unterkunft ist absolut zu empfehlen und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ich hatte einen großartigen Aufenthalt! Die Unterkunft war sauber, gemütlich und gut gelegen. Der Gastgeber war freundlich und schnell erreichbar. Ich kann diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen und würde jederzeit wiederkommen. Vielen Dank!

Mi estancia en el homestay fue excepcional. Se portaron conmigo como si fuera mi familia, me ayudaron con el pago, con el transporte, las cenas fueron exquisitas, ellos estuvieron atentos con todo lo que podía necesitar y siempre con una sonrisa. Estuve mucho tiempo en el hotel por que tenía que trabajar y se estaba genial, muy tranquilo, rodeado de naturaleza. Sin duda volveré. MUCHAS GRACIAS!!!!!!!! :)

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad! Alles was goed verzorgd, het eten was goed en de eigenaren ontzettend vriendelijk. Ze gaven ons veel tips voor de omgeving. De accommodatie is heel mooi gelegen in het groen, weg uit de drukte. We hebben een safari gedaan via de eigenaar. Was allemaal goed geregeld en we hadden een erg goede gids. We hebben zelfs een luipaard gezien!

It's difficult to find words to explain how amazing our experience in Chamila's place was. We haven't been received as guests, we felt more like a part of the family. Chamila is very hospitable, polite and humble and she, together with the whole family, including Snowy and Scooby, made us feel welcomed, we learned a lot about Sri Lanka, we ate amazing food (!) prepared by her mother and Elena even had a chance to try on one of Chamila's beautiful saris. Not to mention that she helped us to arrange all the trips in the area (and there's much to see - Dambulla is exactly in the middle of the "cultural triangle") and that we received parting gifts which will make us remember the visit when we're back home (we would anyway!). I've been staying in hundreds of places over the years and this is definitely on my personal top three list. If you're reading this, stop looking for different accommodation. You've just found what you wanted and you will never forget this place afterwards.

La maison de Sajini est calme dans un endroit résidentiel. On accède à cette location par un escalier extérieur indépendant, donnant sur un hall avec un évier, une bouilloire et une table. Le premier étage de la maison entièrement pour nous est bien équipé avec deux belles chambres donnant sur un balcon avec vue sur un petit jardin et avec des salles de bains modernes. La climatisation et le wifi fonctionnent bien. L'accueil est chaleureux et Sajini nous a préparé un souper. Le petit déjeuner compris était très bien. Nous reviendrions volontiers.

La stanza si trova in un edificio ancora in costruzione (il loft) a qualche metro da quello principale (la villa) ed è molto spaziosa, con ampie finestre lungo tutte le pareti che affacciano direttamente sulla giungla e su un'ampia terrazza privata dove poter cenare e fare colazione. Nonostante il late check in siamo stati accolti con grande cortesia e professionalità e la chef Selvi si è proposta di cucinare la cena nonostante il tardo orario e il fatto che non lo avessimo richiesto in anticipo. La colazione e la cena sono servite direttamente sul terrazzo privato e sono sempre deliziose, siamo stati in Sri Lanka per 20 giorni e non abbiamo mangiato cibo tradizionale più buono di quello cucinato da Selvi. C'è anche una bellissima piscina (che però non abbiamo utilizzato). La pulizia della stanza e del bagno era buona. Il verde, la professionalità dello staff e la deliziosa cucina di Selvi hanno reso il nostro soggiorno davvero perfetto! Istuti!

Janaka , his wife and the little boys are a very welcoming family that hosted us beautifully for 2 days. We loved the food that Nisha cooked for us , it was wholesome and gave us a very authentic taste of Sri Lankan cuisine. The rooms are very close to the samba caves. For our trek to sigiriya lion rock - janaka came to drop us in his tuc tuk at 4am in order to climb it with no sun. Janaka arranged for us a safari ride as well as took us around in tuk tuk in reasonable rates. All in all it was a wonderful stay for my husband and I , and we loved how warm and caring janaka and his wife were!!! Highly recommend this place !

I loved my stay with Tharaka !! 10/10 recommend this special place. It was the first place I visited after completing a 10-day vipassana and I have felt so well received & supported my entire stay. His personalized tours to spiritual sites around the city, meals at local dining establishments I’d easily overlook, and unique healing experiences like Kirtan & soul readings have felt so expansive for me. Tharaka has been a special teacher and brother to me. I will remember this experience for lifetimes!

Such a wonderful place to stay! I came alone with my 5 year old daughter and it was the best decision! The place is beautiful and the family is so lovely, helping us with tuk tuks and a delicious breakfast! My daughter played with the boys next door for hours and hours- would love to come back.

Subadra was a perfect host,we booked a homestay and got a home instead. The place was ozzing with love and kindness. She went beyond her way to address our concerns and gave a personal touch to everything she offered. Sehr hilfsbereiter und freundlicher Host. Wir hatten leckeres Frühstück und Abendessen. Er hat uns eine private Safari Tour gegeben und uns Fahrten organisiert. Die Zimmer waren sauber. Es war ein toller Aufenthalt hier! Vielen Dank ☺️

You’ll be in the middle of the jungle, surrounded by the sounds of birds, geckos and monkeys. At night, fireflies will come to your room. It was magical. Five rescue dogs will keep you safe and insist on cuddles when you arrive. 40 mins away from Sigiriya, but Maulie will help you arrange transport even in the middle of the night to go for sunrise hikes. Thank you so much for this lovely, authentic experience. Oh, and the food served is just amazing!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt bei Amith sehr genossen. Er war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat uns ein tolles Frühstück serviert. Der kleine Bungalow war super sauber und toll ausgestattet. Gerne wieder!

Our stay at Thilinas Homestay was perfect. We felt like a part of the family from the first pickup until the checkout. We didn’t have to worry about anything. Thilina provided a lot of information, planned our whole stay with all activities and organised every transportation for us. We would recommend this Homestay for everyone who wants to get to know the life in Sri Lanka a little better. Thank you for everything.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Great breakfast and clean rooms. Loved the bed! Great airconditioner and lovely upstairs outside area to enjoy a wine or cuppa. One shower hot water didn’t work but a solution was offered immediately. One TV in reception area. Grounds were kept well, didn’t use pool. Would definitely stay again
