Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Sierra County

We stayed here for a month with our dog and had a wonderful time! Cohosts Patty and family across the street are very helpful and sweet. We met Megan too and she is kind to share her unique properties with us. We felt right at home. The house is historic and reminded me of a grandma’s home! I felt that the house gave me a warm hug! The kitchen is so bright and sunny, I loved cooking our meals here. It is stocked with all sorts of condiments and spices that one can think of. Everything was perfect for us. I felt sad leaving that we are coming back for another month in the property next to this one! We loved the little village, it’s so peaceful walking around. Everyone in the village was friendly. Come with groceries as the nearest store is around 1/2 hr away. The instructions provided by the host are detailed and helpful.

Linda’s place was in a great location and convenient to restaurants and the hot springs. The house was very comfortable and well appointed. We and our dogs loved our stay. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Everything in the home was clean and as advertised. Thomas was very friendly and easy to reach. Definitely recommend!

Quaint and comfortable stay. Suitable amenities that covered all needs. No AC but there are three ceiling fans that cover every part of the house and the shades work great. Nice that there is a clothes washer... you have to hang clothes to dry. If you are over 5' 11" be aware of a low entry into the bathroom which is right at 6'. I am 6' 5" so I was ducking quite a bit which isn't always ideal in the middle of the night. Ceiling fan pull cords are also under that level and you'll run into them often. Neighborhood is relatively quiet until you get one of the TorC "boom cars" driving by which seems to be a theme as I heard them in several areas during my two weeks in town. Maybe noise ordinances aren't a thing here or just not enforced. If that kind of thing bothers you, have some ear plugs and/or play some white noise. Minor annoyances mostly, but now I have made it known for those that scour the reviews before booking. Overall, it's a great place for the price.

This was a breathtaking and serene spot on the river. The house was pleasant and clean and the hot tub and river frontage were unparalleled. We can’t wait to go back!

The property is very unique! The turtle tank aka hot spring was fun and we soaked multiple times. I wish there was more outdoor shade as the weekend we visited was unseasonably hot and relaxing outside would have been amazing on the two huge patios the property has.

Place was great with easy access for boat parking and outside power to charge boat batteries. Very close to the lake and boat ramp. Will stay again!!!

We absolutely loved Erica‘s boutique Inn and Hot Springs! Exceptional amenities, and updated suites with access to private very clean hot spring pools. We only stayed two nights and hated leaving. This will be one of our ritual retreats for sure! Thanks, Erica!

Should you plan a day or a month in Truth or Consequences NM...I highly recommend Josh's Bed & Breakfast. You will feel like you are among friends and family. The rooms are warm, welcoming, clean and very well stocked. The peaceful, reflective, atmosphere that permeates the property, goes far in healing the mind, soul and body. Not only did I enjoy my stay, beyond words, but I also made a friend in Josh, our Host. My life's tapestry is so much richer having known him and I recommend Josh's B and B above any other I have booked with in the past. 100% perfect!

Erika’s place was the perfect place for us to stay while riding bicycle across America. It was easy to find and within walking distance to everywhere we wanted to visit in Hatch. When we had questions about how to work the air conditioner in the bedroom, she was so helpful and everything worked out perfectly. We’ll stay here again when we visit Hatch in the future.

It's a lovely little appartment, very private with a Beautiful shared courtyard with lots of trees and birds. The tub was very relaxing and private. Phyllis and her son were very responsive. It's walking distance to main street and very close to a little river park. I can definitely recommend it.

Ron and Yarrow were so very sweet and helpful. We felt so welcomed and safe. The room was very clean, homey and cute. It exceeded all of my expectations and the amenities were listed an had even more.the location was smack dab in the middle of all our activities planned and walking distance from everything recommend the location 100 percent. The hosts were so friendly when we ran into eachother and were very fast to reply and help. We had a problem with our car battery at the end of our trip and I believe Ron was the one to help us. He helped move our car, take us for a battery, and even install it. Outstanding and wonderful people I couldn’t thank them enough. Going to be recommending this place to anyone and everyone. These hosts are the best!

my husband loved it because it took him to his childhood in the 1950,s...... peaceful and lovely place....thanks so much .....very..very .. relaxing with the hot tub..exelente location... market just across street..!!!
