Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Sierra County

Lee Ann's house is beautiful! She thought of everything. So many little details. We felt right at home. Beds were very comfortable. That is very important to me. If I ever come back to this area, I definitely would love to stay here again!

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb to close out 2023. The location is perfect to explore the area and the view of both the lake and the stars at night is beautiful. The house was super clean, private and comfortable, and Victoria went above and beyond with amenities, even adding a bottle of bubbly to help us celebrate NYE. She was a responsive host and made everything really easy. We can’t wait to come back again soon.

The place is huge and comfy. If you forget something there is a nearby store. David has a great communication and good local recommendations.

This private retreat was an incredible value. We could not see or hear neighbors. It was clean and had everything we required. Plenty of space for a family with three kids to spread out. The views from the large balcony of the Mimbres valley and Black Mountains were incredible morning to evening. For us, the location was as close to Albuquerque as feasible with good access to both the Gila and Silver City. High speed internet worked well. Be prepared for a steep gravel driveway and final 1/4 mile of street… as Anna indicated…. but nothing unmanageable by taking it slow. While we stayed here on near 90 degree days, the lack of AC didn’t bother us as we were out during the days and it cools off so quickly in the evenings (house is on east face of a steep hill). The house also has large overhangs on most windows keeping midday summer sun and rain out. While the lot is large and private and fenced, it was quite steep terrain so young children need supervision.

My husband and I wanted to get away to the lake for a few days. April's home was cute and comfy. We cooked all our meals on the outside grill. We especially enjoyed the massage chair! April was responsive and friendly. We appreciate her kind hospitality. The home was a 3 minute drive to Lion's beach. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

There is something comforting about staying in an adobe home. Perhaps it is the age and solidity of the thick walls that gives an extra sense of security when sleeping. The antique furnishings give a sense of what life was like there in earlier times. Barbara and Steve are great hosts and provided everything we needed for our stay, and Hillsboro is a charming old town with interesting sights and friendly people. We had a great time and will be back.

Perfect space for our desired location. Very cozy. Had all the basic necessary needs for our stay. The pallet furnace worked perfectly. The only the we weren't too fond of is the TV situation. It's a tease to have a TV but no entertainment hooked up to it (Netflix, internet or DVD player). We had a back up plan.

Very nice place to stay with lots of outdoor activities close by.
