Beach house vacation rentals in Shoal Bay

We (2 adults & 3 teens) had a great stay. The house was really comfortable - plenty of space for everybody. The view and beach were stunning. The two SUPs got daily use.

we loved staying at Clare's place, everything we needed to have an enjoyable holiday was supplied. Kids loved the wii, DVD selection and board games. beds were super comfy, lots of lovely light and our dog absolutely loved the dog beach.

Great location, just minutes walk to the beach, close to the town, restaurants and supermarkets. Quiet at night. Lots of toys in the house, my kids love it. Strong recommend to family and groups.

We had a fantastic stay at Marcus and Helen's property. The decor is absolutely lovely—thoughtfully chosen and welcoming, creating a real home-away-from-home vibe. The kitchen was impressively well-stocked with everything we needed, including quality crockery and utensils. The furniture throughout the house was very comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day out. On top of all that, the location was ideal—peaceful yet close to everything we wanted to see and do. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this stunning house in the perfect location. The space was incredibly clean and Anna was proactive with communication. Walkable to the beach, cafes and pubs with plenty of parking. Thank you for having us!

My staff have stayed there multiple times... they love it.

We had a wonderful time , it was very peaceful and relaxing. The position of the place was incredible, the ocean at our doorstep and our own private rock jetty with lots of fish to catch and we even were greeted at the jetty by a turtle. This gate at the top was a little tight, especially for a 4x4 we just squeezed through, perhaps making the gate a little wider would be easier for some. This is a place I will most definitely return too. Thank you Prue who was a great host.

Jordan’s place was at a great location in Nelson Bay, place was as described and perfect for a get away with a group of friends! Jordan was very helpful, definitely highly recommend and look forward to hopefully coming back in the future.

The place is clean and tidy, you can walk to the beach and close to a lot of activities even kids activities we hat a lot of fun I recommend going to this place

We had a great family stay at Andrew's. The house was clean, spacious, with an organised & equipped kitchen, nicely styled and was relaxing place for a weekend getaway. Walking distance to the bay & surrounds. Andrew was informative and responsive throughout our stay, would highly recommend this property.

Loved my stay! Deb and Rory were amazing hosts that were easy to deal with and great communicators. Everything is in walking distance and so much to do - swim, walks, restaurants, climb Mount Tomaree and the Country Club if you feel like a night out. The house was very clean and has a great layout, comfortable beds and soft linens. I would definitely stay again!

The house was exactly how it was described in the listing, and was ideal for our group. The two decks, the spa bath, spacious living areas and dining room all got plenty of use! The pool was also perfect for the kids plus the location was close to beaches and the coastline to soak up some time. Shops and cafes were just a short drive nearby.

our first stay at Hawks Nest and we would definitely recommend this stay. The location is perfect to walk to either surf beach or Jimmy's Beach on the Bay. IGA a few minutes walk so easy. Our favourite aspect was the Privacy of the place and having the front verandah which was like an extended living area....the bird song is so lovely. Our doggo was well and truly safe and secure in the rear courtyard with lawn. Or we tied him up out front lawn area whilst we relaxed on the verandah. The inside space is clean, tidy and presentable.

This slice of paradise is truly worth every penny. Finally after another difficult year, I was able to just relax and rejuvenate my soul and spirit. This is our second time and we will be coming back, hopefully soon.

We had an incredible stay at this Airbnb in Nelson Bay! The location is absolutely perfect – just a 15-minute walk to the marina and a short drive to all the main attractions in the area. The house itself was spacious, modern, and exceptionally well-equipped, offering great value for our group of 14. The heated pool was a standout feature – perfectly maintained with just the right amount of chlorine, making it a delightful spot to relax and unwind. Brian and Sue were phenomenal hosts, going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They even welcomed us with two bottles of wine – such a thoughtful touch! The amenities were modern and well-kept, ensuring a comfortable and hassle-free experience for everyone. This property truly exceeded our expectations, and we wouldn't hesitate to book again. Highly recommended for large groups or families looking for a fantastic getaway in Nelson Bay!
