Nishimura Residence is an old-fashioned Nara-machiya that has been standing on a piece of Nara-machi for more than 100 years. I was a “grandmother” for a long time when I was a child. In Nara Town, there is a pleasant despicable feeling that never changes. "I want to be filled with this pleasant contempt even for future generations." With that in mind, I took care of the empty Nishimura Residence. - Nishimura-Tei is originally a traditional Japanese house which has been here in Nara-machi town over 100 years, where my grandmother used to live in. My mother and I decided to renovate this house to preserve and pass down the virtue of good old days in Japan to the next generation as well as to show it to you.

My house is perfect for families or groups of guests. (98 ㎡, 3LDK) There is a supermarket nearby and the kitchen is fully equipped so that you can cook your own meals. Located 4 minutes on foot from JR Nara Station and 12 minutes from Kintetsu Nara Station, the house is very accessible by bus and rail. Therefore it is very convenient to go sightseeing in Osaka, Kyoto and the World Heritage sites in Nara from my house. The limousine bus between Nara Station and KIX is also very convenient.

Our house is just steps away from the train station. Once you arrive at Nara, leave your luggage in my house. Then, walk through the Sanjo street to go to the Deer Park and Naramachi old town area. (We can keep your luggage from 11:00 am.) The entire of this two-story house(3 LDK-98m2) is your space. It is ideal for two or three generations of families or group of intimate friends up to 8 people. There are 3 bedrooms, so you can even ensure privacy among close friends.

Located in a prime location in the middle of a shopping district, it is very convenient for dining, shopping, and sightseeing such as Kofukuji Temple, where you can see wild deer. This house is a great location, about a 7-minute walk from JR Nara Station, and about a 10-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Station and Shin-Omiya Station. There is a Lawson convenience store a 1-minute walk from the house, which is very convenient. Nara Park is about a 15-minute walk. From Nara Station, you can get to Osaka and Kyoto in about 40-50 minutes without changing trains. One car can park for free.

Our guesthouse is located in the old town called Nara-machi. There used to be many traditional wooden townhouses known as Machiya. We restored Machiya while keeping the original structure in order to provide you with a traditional Japanese experience with local atmosphere.This house is for only private use and has only one floor with Japanese style room, shower room, washroom, sink and small garden.
