Vacation rentals in Sherwood

LOVED it! Was there on a business trip in late winter, and wished it was for pleasure, and in a warmer month, so I could enjoy the lake it sits on, and get to relax while there. However, I was overwhelmed with prep for television and radio appearances and a live cooking show, so I only had the pleasure of using the AWESOME soaking tub to de-stress from super long hectic days, sleeping very well in oh-so-comfy bedding, and tossing together breakfast in a charming kitchen stocked with basics, as well as a well-stocked coffee bar. I thought the fresh creamer in the fridge was a nice touch, and I loved sitting at the kitchen table enjoying my coffee and the beautiful lake view. I hope to return some day -under less stressful circumstances- so I can get to enjoy all its outdoor amenities in warmer weather, too. I also want to mention that I felt very safe staying there alone (owners live next door) and the place is so cozy I felt like I was at home throughout my entire 3-day stay.

The house was great.  We were a group of 10 and still had a bedroom leftover.  The living room was perfect for the kids to play and watch movies.  We used the grill in the front of the house most nights-It's a cool spot to cook and relax- we even saw the deer across the street.  We spent most of our time at the beach.  The golf cart regardless of the beach we picked is a must.  The sticker on the cart allows you to park at the beach for free.  We were pleasantly surprised by how close of a walk  we were to Old Harbor Village.  Downtown and the beach were about 5 minute walk.  Cannot wait for next summer!

Every aspect of our stay was perfect. The house was spotless, the kitchen was well equipped, even for cooking an Easter brunch, and every comfort of home was provided. Extra shout out for crisp, clean linens and blankets:-) We enjoyed sitting on the sun-filled front porch for morning coffee and soaking in the hot tub later in the day. Also appreciated having the fire pit and smores kit:-) South Haven proved to be a quaint town with fun shopping and even better views for sunset. The house was conveniently located to any activity and was the perfect spot to meet up with family from the Midwest❤️

Great stay. We had a wonderful time and the arcade games were a bonus. House was so cozy. It started snowing just as we arrived so the views were gorgeous-even had a few deer show up to complete the view. Perfect place for a winter getaway-cant wait to stay there again in the summer.

Lovely updated home perfect for our family of 3. We had every thing we needed as well as incredible views of the sunrise and a 5 minute walk to the beach to view the sunset. Neighborhood is also very nice and quiet. Host was top notch, David was very responsive and provided excellent recommendations. Only criticism would be the cleanliness could have been better but David did reply quickly regarding our concerns to address it.

We were very pleased with the home. It was very spacious and had pretty much everything we needed. The "trundle bed" is not a trundle bed by definition of having a mattress that pulls out. We especially appreciated the wagon to pull the kids in, to walk down to the lake. Only downfall was no ventilation in the kitchen and simply cooking bacon caused the alarm to give a warning. We would go there again.

This was the perfect place for us! It was only a few minutes drive from downtown. Could walk to the beach if you wanted. Kitchen had all the amenities. We didn't get to use the outdoor areas due to the time of year but would be so nice in another season. Owners were very helpful and responsive. Beaches are clean and sunsets are beautiful. It's only about a 30 minute or less drive to St. Josephs, Benton Harbor, Saugatuck, Holland. We did them all! Would definitely stay here again!

Our family of 5 had a great stay at Gary’s place. The lake, the pontoon, paddle boards and pedal boat were used daily. It is private and quiet. There are plenty of life vests and even some large inner tubes you can take out on the water. The floating dock and lily pad were covered in goose poop while we were there so we didn’t use them. The house was comfortable and had more amenities than most air BNBs we’ve stayed at. Our favorite spot (besides being on the water) was drinking coffee and reading on the covered porch! Would recommend to families!!

Great place to stay for our trip down to Colon to attend a dinner at Farrand Hall. Loved looking out at the lake- even spotted a bald eagle!
