Family-friendly vacation rentals in Shawlands

Great location for a little family like ours. Felt very safe and secure in the location, very peaceful. Few little issues which was swiftly dealt with by the guys and very quick to response. Beautiful surroundings. Great place to stay if you want to do day trips. Not far from Falkirk and Stirling and also only 30 mins drive from Edinburgh and Glasgow. Local access to shops only 3 mins away. Warm, cosy and homely. Comfy beds, great little kitchen area with all you need for a family stay. Hot tub is a great extra to have. Can’t recommend enough.

The Clyde View cottage was just what we were looking for; rural, a great view, peaceful, a short drive to the Glasgow airport, and a feeling of seclusion. Even though there is a similar cottage on either side, the orientation and fencing give you privacy and a view over the sheep pasture and the River Clyde in the distance, feeling like you are all alone. The interior is tastefully decorated and perfect for two people. The hot tub was ready to use and we availed ourselves of the washing machine also. Make sure that you have time to hang dry your clothes, we didn't and ended up using the hair dryer! It's a quick 15 minute drive to GLA; no more than from downtown Glasgow, and much less traffic. A nice touch was the basket of local snacks and small bottle of prosecco. Cottage was super clean, welcoming and everything seemed very new. Highly recommended! Oregon/Alaska, USA

A perfect stay. We spent the weekend here and it was everything and more from the listing. The cabin was beautiful and cosy and was just what was needed for a quiet few days away. The hot tub was a dream especially in the cold weather and snow. Lynda was a great host. I would recommend this to friends and family; we would look at coming back in the future.

Our stay was fantastic and the communication was amazing. We had 2 children & a dog with us and the attention to detail for things we might need was impeccable 😊 All of the little extras - easter eggs and activity packs for the children as we stayed easter weekend, are what makes a place stand apart. The house is beautiful and lots of space. I can't speak highly enough of our experience. Will definitely be back 😀

This is our third or fourth stay at Arthur's beautiful place. Always a first port of call for my stay's in Scotland. First time staying in the family barn and it was well laid out and equipped.

Beautiful home right next to a nice playground. Location is perfect for us as we wanted somewhere away from the city, yet easily accessible. We drove 30mins to the tram station and park for free to get to Edinburgh. And the next day it took us about an hour drive from the house to get to Loch Lomond. Host did not reply my messages earlier that made me a little panic. But she immediately apologised and was so welcoming when we arrived. Love it!

Karolinas flat is so nice! We felt comfortable right away. The kitchen has everything you need and the flat is spacious. The area is pretty and you can walk to all the good restaurants and cafés as well.

I absolutely loved my stay at Tom's place, it was just as described and beautifully decorated. The apartment was warm, clean, had everything and more and I felt right at home. I was able to hook up my netflix also. All rooms were excellent and comfortable. Close to paid parking, free after 6pm I think and close to restaurants, takeaway, public transport and grocery shops. Access to the property was simple and the instructions were clear. Tom was very helpful. I highly recommend this lovely apartment in Paisley and I will definitely be booking again. Pauline is lovely and so is her family and her farm. We love Shandy the dog and we are always made to feel so welcome. The Easter eggs were very much appreciated and the toiletries provided are what you might expect at a luxury hotel. We will always stay there when in Glasgow.

My stay at Catherine and Dylan’s cottage was a peaceful and comforting experience. It felt like a home from home and the communication and ease of check in and check out was so easy. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I’ll definitely book again.

Our second time visiting family and friends nearby. Easy parking, good train service to Glasgow Central and convenient for local shops.

This was our first visit to Cameron House and we were not disappointed, the lodge was perfect for us and the resort had plenty of activities on offer (if you wanted to do them). We visited in August and there were various activities available for different age ranges. We had teenagers so they were interested in clay shooting, bubble football, private cinema, golf and although there was a cost for these it was not unreasonable. Plus there was the indoor pool, gym and range of fitness classes. Plus of course there is the great outdoors with fantastic scenery and Loch Lomond itself. The host was really helpful and answered all my questions really well. I would have no hesitation going back.

Perfect stay for a large group wishing to have both a taste of rural Scotland and the bright lights of the city! Great house for large groups with more than adequate cooking facilities. Excellent hot tub that was kept meticulously clean. The hosts were amazing and so helpful with helping me organise a stag weekend. Sharing local knowledge and recommendations of activities and hostelries, etc. Milngavie is a perfect location to explore both Glasgow city (20 minute train ride) and hit the start of the West Highland Way! Milngavie was a nice little town itself with an active high street and a good Tesco and station just a 3 minute walk from Pleasant Hill. We really enjoyed Fullbacks sports bar as well- good value food and an atmosphere. Activities we enjoyed from Pleasant Hill were a walk to Glengoyne Distillery, afternoon and night out in West End Glasgow and a speed boat pub tour of Loch Lomond! Thanks again Chris!

David is very friendly. He helped me with my difficulties during my stay here. It was part of my trip to Scotland, but I travel here with very good memories.

Great host very friendly and nothing too much bother. Accommodation really good and comfortable everything you would possibly need is there. Had a lovely relaxing week thank you.

We had a brilliant time at Loudon Mains. David and Eileen were so helpful and even gave us some teabags and milk on New Year’s Day to save us driving to the shop. The lodge was beautiful and the hot tub was great. There was all the amenities you could ask for - from clean towels to gin goblets. We’d love to come back next year 🫶⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Davids place was very clean and in a beautiful quiet location, overlooking a beautiful valley. The country club had good facilities that we accessed and a play area for children. We enjoyed our stay.
