Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Shanklin

Perfect place for a trip to Isle of Wight. Newport very close and in the Island everything is close!! On arrival we had eggs, milk, bread & a bottle of wine for us!! Very response host and a nice property to stay. thank you very much.

Our second stay at the Salt Shack and it didn't disappoint. We've loved long dog walks on the beach, sea swimming and fossil hunting! This is the prefect place as one of our party has a disability. 😊

This was our second stay. Everything was as nice as we remembered from our first visit. The flat is spacious and well-appointed, the location is private and quiet, and the hosts are friendly and responsive. What more could you ask for in an AirBnB?

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at Beach Lodge. It was the perfect base for myself, my husband, our two young children and our dog to stay for a couple of days whilst enjoying the delights of West Wittering Beach and the surrounding area. The lodge is connected to the main house, where the owners live, but it felt very private as it has its own front door and a back gate which meant we could come and go as we pleased. It is located literally just a few minutes walk to the beach - so very convenient! The lodge also has its own private, enclosed garden which was perfect for the kids and the dog. Communication with Michelle and Jack was faultless. Ahead of our stay, Michelle sent recommendations of local places for dinners/lunches which were so helpful and we ate at a few and all were delicious. Thanks Michelle! Overall, we found Beach Lodge to be peaceful, comfortable and the perfect place for a short weekend away from London. We certainly hope to return again soon!

We stayed at Paul’s place for a girls long weekend away and it was perfect. The house is fab and a great space for a bigger group. The communal space was perfect for sitting together with a lovely big table for playing games etc. The kitchen was probably the most equipped kitchen of any Airbnb I’ve stayed in and again the kitchen amenities were great for a larger group. The house is right next to the pub (which isn’t noisy at all) but if you want a pub within stumbling distance, you couldn’t be any closer. The views from the house are lovely, field and forest from every window and the amount of wildlife you see is great (horses, donkeys, pigs and deers). There are great walks from the doorstep and Lyndhurst only a 10mins drive. Paul was a brilliant host, always quick to respond and he was really informative, as well as checking in that everything was ok during our stay. I would highly recommend a stay at Paul’s place!

Unique and amazing location. The window seat provides a 180 degree view of sea and sky across to the Isle of Wight. All very beautiful and dramatic. Clean and well looked after. Enjoyable stay for all the family.

It's unfortunate that we could not stay, due to a hospital emergency for one of us travelling. I spoke to Crystal regarding our circumstances and she was so kind and worked with us to try and resolve the situation we found ourselves in. The location was perfect .. Closer to the Village yet still walkable to the beach .. house was ultra modern .. beautifully furnished , high quality crockery , glasses etc . Beds were super comfy and beautiful high quality bed linen . The outdoor space was perfect for the dog , would have loved a hot tub rather than a sauna ..( just saying 🤣) Great bathrooms huge showers .. will definitely re book

A super flat at a very handy location in the centre of Brockenhurst, a 10 minute walk from the railway station. We particularly appreciated the spacious and well equipped kitchen. There is easy to access to numerous walking routes in the New Forest, both on foot and by train. Brockenhurst itself has numerous restaurants and pubs and a significant WW1 connection with NZ, about which there is a wealth of information at the parish church of St Nicholas and its churchyard.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful apartment on the Isle of Wight. Located in a stunning Georgian building, the space is full of character with impressively high ceilings, large windows, and breathtaking sea views. The apartment is cosy, thoughtfully decorated with great taste, and equipped with everything a traveller could possibly need. It was also perfect for staying with our toddler – a travel cot was provided, which made things so much easier. The location couldn’t be better: just a stone’s throw from both the beach and the high street, making it easy to explore and enjoy the local area. All in all, a truly enjoyable stay. Highly recommend and would love to return!

Stayed here for 3 nights with my family. Had a great stay the house is fabulous very clean and spacious really central close to shops restaurants etc. We felt right at home. Anna was very responsive to some questions we had. We will definitely be booking again as we regularly visit the island as my brother and his family live there. Would highly recommend 👍

The stay at Rebecca and Jonathan‘s place was great. The guests are friendly and it was very easy to communicate with them and access the house. The house is stylish, cosy, very spacious, pristine everywhere and the view over the seafront is really pretty. The large kitchen is well equipped with all the appliances you can think of, from coffee machine to dishwasher and a large selection of utensils. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms functional. It was the perfect place for me and my three friends.

Absolutely stunning place! I had an incredible experience and enjoyed every moment of it. The host is very friendly and provided all the guidance I needed. I highly recommend staying here! I would definitely be using Credi’s place again.

Lovely apartment in secure block with plenty of space and filled with everything you need.

This is the best location on the island. Perfect view over the Esplanade and the sea but still peaceful and private. Near to great coast walks and the town centre. Comfy beds, plenty of comfortable sofas and chairs, great outdoor furniture on the balcony, well equipped kitchen and lovely bathrooms. Dawn was friendly and responsive. Couldn’t fault it! A wonderful place in every way.

Second stay at Rachel & Roger's apartment and it was just as nice as the first time. Great hosts, very responsive, a fantastically appointed apartment with all the facilities you could need for your stay. Very central and only a couple of minutes walk to the centre with it's restaurants and cafes. Parking wasn't an issue for us, we always managed to park outside the flat but there's a paying car park 100 m away. Note that parts of Ventnor are quite steep. Thank you for a great stay.

We were staying at Tim's place for few days with grandparents, two young kids and the dog. House is in a great location, few minutes from the beach, shops, playground and some local activities. House was spacious to accommodate us all. Driveway can accommodate up to two cars. Small but nice enclosed garden. Tim was responsive and was on hand to answer queries. :)

Great stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location. Everything matched the description, and communication with the host was smooth. Would definitely recommend!

The house was the perfect place for our family and we enjoyed staying here so much we’ve actually already booked to come back! Having access to the beach meant being able to quickly pop down with our small children around bedtimes and naps and waking up to the view every morning was magical! The house had everything you could ever need, was so clean and comfortable and we instantly felt relaxed the minute we walked inside! Thank you Daisy! X

Wow wow wow!!! This property definitely has the wow factor. The views, setting and location are fabulous. You could never tire of looking across the grounds, pool and the creek. The property had everything we needed and perfect for a family with children. A few minor maintenance issues but nothing worth mentioning.

Charming house and gardens in such a beautiful location. Daryl the caretaker was hugely helpful and enthusiastic. The lift to the 1st floor was a godsend for Granny!
