1975 Vintage Spartan~ River Access!

My husband and I had one kid free night and this was the best way to spend it. We canoed and fished on the river, walked the nature trails, enjoyed feeding the animals, enjoyed the peace and quiet, enjoyed the scenery, relaxed in the hammock, and ended our night watching stagecoach on DVD in the cozy camper. The next morning we went to the cutest breakfast barn and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. We will definitely come back with our 4 kids next time.

My guests and I very much enjoyed our stay at Fredericksburg Cottage! The hostess, Angela was very responsive and provided some great recommendations for restaurants and activities to do in the area. She even had a complimentary continental breakfast waiting for us in the fridge! The house was spotless when we arrived and had some great amenities, such as a coffee bar. I would definitely recommend this house and hope to come back in the future!

Simon is a very gracious host. His food is excellent, and his property is even more so. It is a secluded bit of paradise nestled in the woods. There is a vineyard, wild deer, a horse, all wrapped up in peace and quiet. The cabin is comfy and cozy. It’s a short trip to town for antiquing, etc. I couldn't think of a better way to get away from it all.

I made a point to check in during daylight hours because the listing is a bit outside town, next to a large ranch. My GPS led directly to the correct driveway, but visiting earlier allowed me to return confidently down a dark road and right into my space at the end of the day. The reservation started with meeting the host in person to receive keys and remote openers, tour the space, and appreciate the view. Micca went above and beyond to make me feel at home, which extended to contacting me in advance of incoming severe weather and assisting me to move my vehicle into a protected space. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was generously stocked with snacks and drinks, and the bathroom toiletries were teen girl approved. My teenager commented, "I wish we were staying here more than one night, it's so nice." Lovely, lovely listing, I would 100% stay again.
