Wool Hut, is a beautiful, traditional Shepherd's Hut, located in the middle of nowhere but close to everywhere! Situated on our working farm on the edge of the village of Thixendale, the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds, surrounded by stunning landscapes in a peaceful, rural setting. Visit the wonderful market town of Malton, or historic York as well as some beautiful country houses, or simply rest and relax. There is an abundance of food producers and restaurants in the locality for you to explore.

The Owlery at Mill Farm

Recently converted, the Owlery is the perfect self-catered rural escape for couples. With its double height vaulted ceiling and full height double aspect windows the open plan kitchen living diner offers a light and airy space to unwind and enjoy the view of surrounding fields. The bedroom has a Kingsize bed, Egyptian cotton sheets and En-Suite shower room. The Bathroom offers complimentary Bramley products and cotton bathrobes. Both areas are underfloor heated. There is a private garden.

There are 2 large bedrooms at each end of the cottage, both with a bathroom and an open-plan living area. A futon in Bedroom 2 is available for groups of 5. Relax in the enclosed garden with a hot tub, perfect for enjoying sunrise. Countryside on your doorstep and a village pub nearby, this tranquil retreat offers comfort and rural charm. Unwind in our stunning 2 bed barn conversion with its high beamed ceilings and bright and airy open plan living space, all fitted out to a high standard. The property is situated on our working farm in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, 2 miles from Malton. A perfect base for biking , walking or visiting the North Yorkshire moors , East coast or York. There are lots of local village pubs within 2.5 miles of us where you can go for a drink or meal or even visit the food capital of Malton

You'll arrive to find the lakeside sauna and copper bath on the deck and secret nooks around the edge of the woods where you can watch the sunset and the stars in front of the fire pit. Hidden near to the Howardian Hills and Yorkshire Wolds, Kingfisher Cabin @ Kingfisher and Yew is a Yorkshire Post Tourism Awards finalist and featured in Living North's top retreats.

Stunning rural shepherds hut

Located in the stunning Howardian Hills, this is a peaceful and romantic location. A perfect all year round escape. You park your car and the hut is a 5 minute walk from our house- make sure you pack suitable footwear. We can transport your luggage to the hut. The hut has cooking facilities (oven and a hob), there is also a fire pit for barbecues and a picnic table for outdoor dining. You have exclusive use of a hot tub which is right next to the hut.
