Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Scio Township

I reached out to Jonathan asking for an early check-in because we had such a long drive and he responded promptly and let me know that he was able to make accommodations for us to check in early, which we greatly appreciate it. The home was beautiful and our stay was nice. We were able to enjoy the hot tub and also the patio with the grill. It was enough space for all of us to not feel cluttered and have our own space. I would highly recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed our time at the Serene Suburban Oasis. We were in town for a wedding and know the area well but really enjoyed getting to know the neighborhood better. We enjoyed great walks and the convenience of being so close to everything. The house is well-appointed and thoughtfully decorated. We would stay there again. So much better than a hotel!

Kevin's place is spotless. You can tell the moment you walk in that this is not just a rental, but a well cared for home. The check in process was simple and easy to follow. He has instructions and suggestions posted in the house to make the dtay that much more simple. Everything about the stay was perfect. Lance & Sarah

Very unique place. Our group had a wonderful time discussing the art and overall architecture and structure of the home. Excellent amenities clearly laid out and explained in the welcoming page. I would LOVE to replicate this home on a lake or along a river in the woods! Thank you for opening your home to us!

This was such a great place to stay. We were just a quick 7 min walk from the main downtown area. Elizabeth provided anything we would ever need, including snacks which came in handy with our kids. We would definitely stay here again 😊

We stayed at Joseph's with our two young kiddos for three nights. We are super happy we found the house available and it lived up to its description 100%. The place is super cozy. The kitchen is GREAT. The main bedroom has a better mattress (and far superior pillows) than the JW Marriot we stayed at three weeks ago. Medium firmness and ultra-supportive! 10/10 on the mattress & bedding. THANK YOU!!! For the kids: The downstairs play area was much fun for our 4-1/2 yr-old girl and the air hockey was a blast. The bathroom had a kid's stool and the tub was kid-friendly (and still very comfortable for an adult). The house is very kid-friendly, but note that there is a staircase to the basement which is open to the main level. This was not a problem for us as our 1-3/4 yr-old was finally slightly intimidated by something (or he just didn't feel like making a break for it). For toddlers, you might ask about a gate. We would absolutely stay here again w/wo kids!

It looks exactly like the photos but the lake is prettier in person. Daniel was very responsive during the entire process and made sure we’d have everything we needed. Made my birthday very special! Definitely plan on booking again in the future.

We lucked out finding this hidden gem, only five minutes from the event we were in town for. The house was comfortable for our large family, we felt right at home.

We had a pleasant stay, just a couple small quirks to the place we didn't anticipate, maybe I didn't read the listing close enough, but host was responsive and friendly. Perks were it's a spacious stay and has a comfortable bed. TV and fireplace are nice. Quirks are is a first floor apartment complex with a tenant above and there were banging noises above that kept waking us up. Host responded they'd ask the neighbor to keep down the noise, a great option, however the noise kept happening seemingly every time we tried to sleep. Bath towels are located under the bed in a plastic drawer, which isn't correct from the description given "in dresser" and there were no towels in the bathroom initially, which really confused us. The shower is well water based and has a horrible odor, not much the host can do about this but it made showering quite uncomfortable. I still rated 5 stars due to these being minor quirks, overall the stay was peaceful.

Laura was an amazing host! We felt right at home, and the place was spotless. She answered our messages and assisted us with the bonfire. My daughters had an amazing time, we were sad that due to our limited time we couldn’t do the rope course at her property. If we visit Michigan again, we’d definitely stay here!

Michael’s place is such a hidden gem! Everything matched the descriptions and photos, the lake view was beautiful, the area was quiet and peaceful. I could truly go on and on about how nice our weekend here was. We definitely plan on coming back!

The place was fantastic. Her directions with pictures made it really easy to find. Check-in was super easy. The place was extremely clean and well stocked. And very quiet. She was extremely responsive. Check out was a breeze. Didn’t make the guest do tons of cleaning. Can’t wait to stay there again soon. was absolutely perfect.

Karen was incredible. It was the perfect place to stay. She was beyond accommodating and it is an adorable room with kitchen and bathroom. She went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of. I highly recommend and will always stay here in the future!

The Phunky Pheasant suite is my go to place to stay when I visit Detroit for work or pleasure. They are extremely hospitable with their snacks l, drinks and delicious homemade cookies. They were even gracious enough to provide their cookie recipe! I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

The house was very clean, we had no issues whatsoever and the area is very convenient if you’re in town for a show or even for a long weekend.

This is our second time staying here and I think it is not our last. Somehow, it feels like we are coming home! It is so comfy and cozy. Everyone from our 3-month-old to my parents in their late 70s was pleased. There is so much to do...or NOT do if that is what you like! You will not regret this booking!!!

Cute lake cabin. We appreciate the owner for being dog friendly, and the dog park in town was a plus.

Kaylee's place was very nice and clean. It had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay there. Kaylee communicated very well and gave simple instructions. The lake was awesome and we got to do some fishing also. Definitely would consider staying here again when the opportunity arises!

The lake house was wonderful. I didn't use any of the lake amenities, but just getting to look out the window to see the water was nice. My stay was very comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay! Everything was as described and very comfortable. There was a beautiful sunrise in the morning and the location was perfect for the viewing. Would definitely stay again in the future.

Staying at Matthew's Place was a delightful experience for us. Nestled in the charm of the 1950s, this fishing cabin brims with character. It's cozy and quaint, yet it doesn't skimp on cleanliness or convenience. Located near the enchanting Village of Clarkston, it offers easy access to local neighborhoods and the downtown area on foot. The serene lake, adorned with ducks, swans, and turtles, provided a peaceful backdrop to our stay. Rick managed to catch a big large- mouth bass, which, in the spirit of catch and release, was returned to its aquatic home. We took advantage of the canoe for a gentle paddle on the lake. We brought our own life vests, though Mathew does provide everything we needed. Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable, and we wholeheartedly recommend Matthew's Place to singles, couples, and small families looking for a quaint getaway with a touch of adventure.
