Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Schenkenzell

We were looking for a little break from everyday life and found it here. A beautiful little house, great fireplace, cozy sauna, very appealing decor, very nice garden and the highlight that our dog was warmly welcomed. We will be back. 😊

We had a wonderful time with Daniel and Martin. Everything was perfect - and so we could fully enjoy our little break from the first minute of our arrival. A cozy home with fireplace, sauna, a nice little garden and a great view, a beautiful landscape and hiking trails right outside the front door. The apartment has everything it needs to feel at home immediately. Everything is very tasteful and very lovingly furnished, everything is very clean and well maintained. A big thank you to Martin and Daniel for the uncomplicated communication, the very warm welcome and the many useful pieces of information and tips. A big thank you but also for the very delicious stone oven bread. This is pure hospitality! We are very much looking forward to our next visit with Martin and Daniel, two wonderful hosts.

We had a great family vacation here! Even though the weather was not as good, the house was just perfect for it! There was a lot of activities for the kids, the pool was warm and could be used easily even in the rain. The house is equipped so well, it feels very much like home right away. We can totally recommend it for a family trip! Thank you very much and we would love to come back!

Excellent accommodation, I would recommend it. Thanks again Wolfgang. If I can just make an improvement, there is a lack of storage for our belongings in 3 bedrooms of the accommodation.

We really enjoyed Melissa's lovely home. The small terrace was really appreciated in the garden and we were very quiet. The house is very well equipped and well heated and there is everything you need to cook. Congratulations on the decor and flowers in the garden and in the entrance. We recommend this lovely house as long as you have a vehicle.

For our group of 8 people, we were very comfortable and enjoyed the shared space. The kitchen was great for cooking meals and provided all cooking necessities. The host was responsive and friendly. The view from the balcony was beautiful! The area included a cute town, lots of nearby hiking, and we enjoyed the mountain coaster! A quaint & cozy stay in the Black Forest!

The four of us girls had a wonderful stay! Gosia and Romain were very friendly and attentive. The accommodation was not only well equipped, but also very lovingly furnished. We would come back anytime ☺️🫶🏼

We had a wonderful stay at Claudia's and immediately felt at home. We were 18 people and had a great weekend in the guest house Linde as a group of friends. Claudia and her husband are super warm and friendly hosts. We would definitely come back ☺️

It was very nice with Heidi and Bernd. They are very friendly and give good tips. Small drawback: You have to go through the bedroom to get into the children's room and another bed (for guest 5 and 6) is in the living room. So a lot of “privacy” is not in it! If necessary, the place is a little inconvenient. However, it was wonderful for us ☺️

We had the most wonderful stay at Michel’s apartment. It’s in a quiet area of the city surrounded by lovely buildings, shops and amenities. Walkable to all of the city’s sights and public transport. Michel made us feel at home at every part of our stay, recommended places to eat for dinner, brought us breakfast and was responsive to any questions or queries we had; made our time in the city even better than we expected. We had a wonderful stay. Geny and Richard were exceptionally hospitable, kind, and considerate hosts who made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The apartment is spacious, cozy, bright, impeccably clean, and very well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We had a great weekend with family at Marion's, the accommodation matched our expectations exactly, quiet, clean, renovated bathrooms, very well equipped kitchen, large dining table (up to 10 people), large outdoor terrace, two parking spaces for our cars in front of our door, a delicious bakery 5 minutes' walk away, very clear instructions. Thanks to Marion and Francine for hosting us.

Great place to stay when you are in the area!

Great stay, decorated with a lot of love and thought of all the little things. Were there with 3 dogs for hiking, was really nice. Super nice contact via messages, kitchen is well equipped for cooking.

We had three perfect days with Christian and Anja. We immediately felt comfortable and at home in the apartment. We were looking for a lot of peace and relaxation and found it in the apartment and the fantastically beautiful surroundings. The space is modern, but totally cozy and furnished with a lot of love – you immediately notice that there is real heart and soul in it. The kitchen is well equipped, even for extended cooking evenings and the fireplace rounds off the coziness. Everything is individual and really special - just to feel good. We had a fun time! Thanks Christian and Anja - also for the fantastic wood-fired bread!

We had a great time and would be happy to come back. We especially liked the modern and tasteful furnishings, as well as the sauna, so we will gladly recommend it.

We spent a family weekend there with many adults and children. To begin with, I have to say that Eve is a wonderful host. Communication was excellent—proactive and helpful. The house and garden were very spacious, offering plenty of room. The amenities left nothing to be desired. I would be happy to stay there again.

A beautiful region in all weather! nature hikes, tours, artisans, gastronomy, culture! The rental is superb, comfortable, well equipped, well arranged for a family with children, tastefully decorated and a superb view of the surrounding mountains. We're thrilled. The place is an absolute feel-good place! The entire process from booking to the stay itself was easy and hassle-free, and the host was always available. Even with the equipment, there is nothing to complain about. I would definitely recommend it, would be happy to come back.

I had the great pleasure of visiting TheMAP during Easter week, and it was an unforgettable experience! Particularly noteworthy are the fantastic fire tent and the cozy barbecue evening in the garden, which provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The organization was excellent. Highly recommended for larger families with children.

Stayed at Fritz' for 3 nights for my birthday. He was super welcoming and even provided us with a lovely selection of breakfast foods, tea and coffee which we weren't expecting. The apartment was super clean and just like the photos. 5-10 minutes walk from Freiburg train station over the river. The best bit was it was it surrounded by beautiful trees and he pointed out the herons nesting in the tree opposite the apartment. Spent lovely evenings watching bats fly on the terrace. Would highly recommend!

Clean, comfortable and everything as described. Every guest had space , the kitchen was well equipped and kids enjoyed playing in the garden and with the toys. The host was responsive and kept checking whether we were fine and everything was in order.
