Dane was kind and considerate. He was welcoming and easy to talk with. His home was immaculate. The coffee and wine set up in the room was nice. He made room for my food in the frig. His instructions were thorough and easy. He made me feel like a special guest.

It was an amazing place, luxurious, private and spacious. It really felt like a home away from home. Walked around the lot, played in the game room below, and an excellent location to both Sonoma and Napa. It was so comfortable, and a great place to stay as just a couple or with close friends. I would book this place again whenever I want to come to Sonoma and/ or Napa, but for a bit longer as our stay was only for 2 nights.

If you ever find yourself wanting a getaway to the Napa & Sonoma wine country and you are looking for a large place with lots of amenities and nice touches that is close enough to wineries and amazing restaurants while still providing a private, peaceful and beautiful place to stay then book this awesome place immediately! My wife and I cannot recommend this lovely place high enough and we are already planning our next stay! In addition to it being a great place, AvantStay is truly an amazing host that was very communicative and helpful through the whole process and provided some very nice touches that we found upon our arrival! We’ll keep that a secret as we do not want to ruin that aspect of any future guest’s experiences!

Leda’s Sunshine House was the perfect weekend getaway for a solo female traveler. She let me book last minute (an hour before I arrived!) without hesitation! She was more than warm and hospitable, going the extra mile to make me feel welcome in her home. My room and designated bathroom felt private, but I also felt welcome in shared rooms like the kitchen and living room. I had a hot breakfast and fresh coffee waiting for me each morning! Leda provided suggestions to places around town and even invited me to attend a class with her since I’d mentioned I practice yoga! I felt less like a stranger renting a room and more like a visiting friend by the time I left her home. 10/10 I would recommend this booking to anyone, especially a solo female traveler looking for a safe and friendly place to stay. I cannot say enough nice things about Leda and her hospitality! My stay at the Sunshine House made my trip truly memorable!

Wow! This property is absolutely stunning. Private and peaceful, it’s straight out of a magazine! Just 6 minutes from the most beautiful hiking trail, Goodlove Trail and just minutes to drive to some of the most beautiful wineries! We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again!

House was great very spacious for 2 couples. Outside area was great we really enjoyed it. Gated yard makes things feel very private, location was great a 5-8 min drive to down town close to many wineries. There was a little more road noise than I expected but you really didn't hear it when in the house and it wasn't constant. I would definitely come back here again. We all loved it and host was very responsive. Pictures and descriptions are great representatives of the property.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this beautiful and peaceful home. From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed and welcomed. The setting is incredibly quiet and serene—perfect for unwinding. The home was filled with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a true retreat. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there was plenty of space for my family to gather or enjoy quiet solo time. The outcove seating area quickly became a favorite spot—so cozy and tranquil. We really appreciated all the small details, from the bathroom amenities to the standing steamer. The yoga mats were a great bonus and definitely got some use during our stay. Their guidebook was extremely helpful—be sure to refer to it for great local tips! We especially enjoyed Sonoma’s Best, Girl & The Fig, and Gundlach Bundschu Winery.

Alan's home is undoubtedly one of the best AirBnBs I have ever visited—it checked every box! The space was incredibly cozy and beautifully decorated, featuring the most stunning garden and landscaping I have ever seen. Its location in Sonoma is perfect, just 10 minutes from everything, while still feeling completely private. Alan truly paid attention to every detail, no matter how small. To highlight how special this place is, I have to share this experience: we hired a private chef for one night, and she told us it was the nicest and most welcoming AirBnB she had encountered in her 13 years as a private chef. If that doesn’t convince you, I don’t know what will! Thank you, Alan, for an incredible weekend! I hope to return one day!
