Vacation rentals in Savalen

I really enjoyed my stay at Madlainas beautiful little cabin. It is a precious gem deep in the forests and mountains of Norway. If you look for clean air, tranquility, nature, and a life in sun- and candlelight it is a great place to be. I would definitely go back there again. Thanks for sharing!

We immediately felt comfortable in the house and the landlady and her husband were extremely warm and helpful. A very special place with special people.

Great place, walking distance to the center of Røros. We were very pleasantly surprised by the view and the surroundings. Clean and tidy, easy to find various things we needed along the way. Host responded to questions very quickly

At first we had difficulty finding the cabin. Monica’s gave us the address “Steinvikvein” which cannot be found on Google Maps. The actual place was Stenvikveien (without the “i”). The cabin was near to a supermarket Rema 1000. Monica’s cabin was clean and well-stocked. There are 2 bedrooms but only 1 has heating. Do note there is no WiFi in the cabin (not a big issue for us). Overall we had a great time exploring Roros while staying at Monica’s place.

A fantastic nice cottage! Well appointed and tastefully decorated! All top quality. Great views , lovely with the big windows. Nice outdoor area and skiing trails nearby. We/the extended family had a great time! Great communication with Elin. Recommended!!

This is a genuinely spectacular cabin. It is warm, beautifully decorated, and has plenty of space for three people (in our case, a couple a their friend). There were games, cards, and books that we could entertain ourselves with. Everything spotless with many amenities including a fully stocked kitchen, linens, and even shampoo! Kelly was very friendly, responsive, and helped with recommendations for the area. The surroundings are idyllic with nice walks, viewpoints, and the chance to see moose if you're lucky. Very close to the national park. All in all the ideal place to escape "reality". We only booked the place for one night but we easily could have spent the week here. I would love to come back in the future.

Cozy cottage and quiet neighborhood

The two of us spent a week in the cozy Ekornhytta and felt comfortable from the first moment! The house is very well equipped (also for more people), window view of the lake, fireplace and sauna provide the Norwegian feel-good atmosphere. In the area around the house, there are many hiking trails, bike paths and cross-country trails with great views of Rondane and beyond. And the squirrel is not a marketing gimmick, it actually passed by at its feeding station. :-) Communication with Sandra and Stine as hosts is straightforward and fast!

Nice apartment with super location right by the alpine slope. A bit exciting to find the right apartment since the houses had been given new numbers, but it quickly resolved. Katrine responded quickly and was very helpful and flexible.
