Villa Dantès private pool

KarenRating, 5 stars6 months ago
This place is spotless, very secure. It was fun having the outdoor grill/pizza oven and the small pool. It is kind of hidden. Francesco meets you on the street above the property in his car and leads you to it. I was a bit nervous following him off the beaten path. It is in an area which is redeveloping and seemed sketchy. He was very welcoming and attentive. The property is completely safe and secure and I would not hesitate to come again. He even came at 4 am to check us out for an early flight. Francesco works very hard to make sure you have an enjoyable time.

Studio by the sea/10min from Bari TWO

TomaszRating, 5 stars6 months ago
The apartment we got was different from the one in the photos. The amenities were better than the listing. There was air conditioning that you can't see in the listing. The apartment is clean and comfortable. The kitchen is clean and well-equipped. A clean bathroom with a bidet, everything is in working order. Washer. No iron. Quiet neighborhood, downstairs shops with vegetables, fish, liquors, cafe. The pool is no longer open in October. Close to a nice cove that shows the charm and cleanliness of the water by the calm sea. The host is kind and helpful. A quiet town, not much going on in October. To Bari half an hour by bus 12 or train from the train station 30min away. A good base for exploring nearby towns. Recommended.

Anna Flora

SaliRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Judith’s place was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. The place itself is more beautiful than the photos and it’s a great place to relax and enjoy peaceful time. Me and my family of 6 had a great time. The place is also a great spot to explore south of Italy. We traveled from Lecce to Amalfi coast very conveniently. Both houses are full with thoughtful details. Swimming pool is amazing. Definitely recommended. Also Vittoria who helped us to check in is super nice.

THE POET'S HIDEAWAY

LucyRating, 5 stars5 months ago
One of our favorite stays in Italy so far. Matera is such a magical place and this home made it even more magical. Very friendly hostess, and the breakfast each morning plus snacks left for us was such a nice touch as well. The view from both balconies is just incredible. Can’t recommend enough ♥️
An expansive terrace features a round dining table with orange chairs and a smaller bistro table with black chairs. A potted plant adds greenery, and the background reveals a serene view of distant hills under a bright blue sky.

Casa vacanze LE GINESTRE, lake view. MIGLIONICO

AdrienneRating, 5 stars24 months ago
Four of us came to see our grandparents village: for our first time visit Miglionico was charming and told us enough of what we wanted to know. But the village and the location is just so beautiful. I am selfishly grateful that it is not so touristy and that people make me use Italian. I always felt safe. I expect to return again hopefully with my daughter and hopefully to Grazia’s accommodation.
A cozy living space is equipped with a small dining table set for two, complemented by a black chair. A double bed with floral bedding is located in the corner. Artwork adorns the walls, while light streams in through the bright space.

Villa in centenary olive grove on Gravina in Mater

LiekeRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We loved our stay here! Angelo was very friendly and welcoming, and provided useful and practical information to visit Matera and the Gravina; the house was spacious and clean and really had a home-feeling; and what we really appreciated: the stove! Travelling off-season we have stayed in some cold houses, but here it was cosy and warm, directly at our arrival :). Besides, Matera and its surrounding is just amazing and definitely worth a visit!

Matera is just wow! It’s very fun to stay in the heart of an ancient city! For most this is a once in a lifetime thing to do! This house has the cave experience while being comfortable and very well located! Really cool place! Take advice and park in the paid lot. We passed the entry to the lot and I am sure we got tickets!
A stone-paved courtyard is featured, showcasing a stairway leading to an upper level. The walls of the structures are adorned with subtle textures and the warmth of ambient lighting. Potted plants and flowers decorate the area, adding a touch of greenery.

Rob's House

LisaRating, 5 stars11 months ago
We spent a lovely week in this spacious, tranquil apartment with fantastic views (especially from the kitchen and the narrow balcony off of it). The place is ideally located on the upper part of one of the sassi, making it convenient to restaurants, banking, and to the mercato, food stores and bakery (on Via Ascanio Persio) for self-catering. At the same time, it is tucked away so it is quiet and private. We loved that all the windows and doors (except the front door) had insect screens so we could leave them open. A note that the front terrace is shared with two other apartments, so is not private. Roberto is super responsive and helpful.
An airy breakfast area is presented with multiple white chairs and wooden tables. Breakfast trays featuring pastries and drinks are arranged neatly. Large windows allow natural light to fill the space, and a counter displays an assortment of food items.

The Baker's House

CarlottaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a great time in the baker's house, it's in a great location for visiting the Sassi of Matera. In addition, Cosimo was very kind and helpful, in Matera there was a problem with the water pipes and he took care of bringing us water tanks so we wouldn't run out. We will definitely recommend, thank you!
A panoramic view of the historic town reveals numerous stone buildings against a blue sky with scattered clouds. A foreground of blooming white flowers adds a natural element, framing the vibrant landscape of terracotta rooftops and hillside structures.

The location of Flavia's place is incredible and the space itself- wow! To stay in an actual cave is a step back in time, very special. It's spacious and everything was perfect. Flavia was the perfect host, responding quickly to everything we needed, providing local information and more. If you're coming to Matera, you need to stay in this special cave home.
The image captures a hillside view of Pomarico with colorful buildings stacked on the slope. A clear blue sky is partially seen above, while a winding road in the foreground leads through the scene. The structure's rustic charm is highlighted by the stone wall and greenery.

Casa Tina Holiday Home (Sasso Caveoso)

MichelleRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This apartment has the most incredible views of Matera, much more spectacular than expected. There are numerous restaurants nearby and an easy walk to all places of interest. The kitchen has been recently updated, there is an under bench fridge but no freezer. There are ample plates, glasses etc. Bathrooms are in need of updating but are adequate. There is a washing machine, no dryer but a rooftop clothesline which enabled us to dry our washing. There was no instruction manual for the washing machine, so it took a while to work out how to use it, some instructions would be handy to have in the apartment for the washing machine as well as the microwave oven, but apart from that, everything else was easy to work. There is public parking a short walk away if you are travelling by car which currently costs 10 Euro/day. Our host Paolo was lovely and gave us lots of information about Matera and places to go/eat and visit. All in all a fabulous place with the best view in Matera town
A spacious living area features a green sofa adorned with decorative pillows. An area rug adds warmth to the tiled floor. A mirror is positioned nearby, and a wooden chair complements the furnishings. Subtle lighting illuminates the room's arched ceiling.

LA TORTORELLA

ValentinaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed in Piermichele's apartment for 3 nights and had a very good time. The mother, Mrs. Teresa, welcomed us with great kindness. The apartment is perfect for medium-short stays, there is everything, it is practically new and is in a perfect location to get around the village. A stone's throw from the central square. We will definitely be back and recommend it!
A rustic stone plaque is displayed, featuring carved text that reads "Parva Domus, Magna Quies." The warm tones of the stone complement the textured surface, adding character to the setting.

Parva Domus in Matera, a little house

KelseyRating, 5 stars73 months ago
Very beautiful bnb - spacious private apartment with a large living/dining/kitchen space and a large bedroom down a short hallway. Super clean, modern bathroom. The decorations and furnishings in the apartment are beautiful. The location is perfect - just 2-3mins walk from the historic 'sassi' district, which is a sight to behold! The hospitality of our hosts was outstanding. We arrived a little out of town via bus, and Vita and Giuseppe came to pick us up and take us to the bnb. We were able to leave our bags there prior to check-in, which made our 1 day in Matera much easier. I cannot recommend this bnb highly enough! Vita, Giuseppe, Maria and Luigi were the most wonderful, accommodating, and friendly hosts!

La Casetta

JoyceRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Modest with teensy kitchen, minimally outfitted, teensy washer, lots of storage for clothes, comfy bed, more spacious than a hotel room. Secure gated space for car tight, but more than adequate. Six minute drive to Mattera old town parking, five-minute walk to little local convenience store with best ever Buffalo Mozzarella and a little meat counter. Other amenities close by. Host charming, attentive, happy to answer any questions and make recommendations. For a couple of nights for a really good price, was great find. Thank you Emanuele.
