Family-friendly vacation rentals in Sarteano

We just checked out of this wonderful villa today, and it has truly been one of the most special places we’ve ever stayed. We arrived with my husband’s parents, my husband, and our toddler, and from the moment we got there, everything exceeded our expectations. Alex greeted us warmly, gave us a tour of the villa and the property, and provided detailed printed information about nearby restaurants, supermarkets, cafés, bakeries, and wine tours. The property also produces its own wine, which was available for purchase and could be conveniently delivered to our villa during our stay. Alex shared his contact number and made himself available in case we needed anything—which we really appreciated. One of the highlights of the property was the stunning infinity pool overlooking the vineyard and offering breathtaking views. It was the perfect setting to disconnect and truly live in the moment. The air conditioning and hot water worked perfectly. Thank you Alex!

Had a super 8 night stay here. Paola, the host, is everything you can hope for from an Airbnb host. Super communicative, welcoming and helpful. Her and her husband helped me with a medical issue, which was so kind and appreciated. Wow! Just wow! The apartment is quiet and I slept good at night. It has every amenity that I needed. It is clean and in a safe location. They really put love and attention into this place and it shows. Highly recommended.

Incredible stay and Bernardino and his family were incredibly welcoming and pleasant. They helped us check in later and were there to help us with any questions we had. Absolutely would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful Tuscan retreat.

Pictures don’t do the property and spectacular view justice. We had an amazing family holiday, our host couldn’t have been more accommodating, even leaving us kind gifts. Location was perfect (close enough to town and the airport but feeling secluded), having a bathroom each was great, and again that view was stunning. It all made for a perfect family trip :)

If you stay here, you will find yourself in a painting, so beautiful is this cottage located in the mountains! Lucca is really super nice and funny. He tells a lot. The restaurant they run is fine too, and good food! The breakfast is very good. We definitely recommend this cottage!

Our family loved staying in Fernanda’s apartment! My husband and I had visited Montepulciano two years ago, stayed at Fernanda’s place and loved it so much we came back with our three boys. Everything is so lovely and welcoming and Fernanda is the best hostess. She even made local dinner reservations for us. Thank you for everything, Fernanda!!

Very nice stay for a few days relaxing in summer. Beautiful olive gardens around the house, nice collection of wine. Everything clear, super big house, will come back next year!

Our stay at Piero’s home was the highlight of our family’s three week Italy trip! Staying at Agrigreen La Lama was hands down the best Airbnb experience I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, Rita welcomed us with such warmth and hospitality that we felt at home. The property is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and full of charm—surrounded by nature and the kind of quiet that soothes the soul. One of the most memorable parts of our stay was getting to cook in Rita’s own home, which she generously opened to us. It was such a unique and personal experience that made us feel truly connected to the space and the spirit of the farm. If you’re looking for a place to slow down, feel grounded, and enjoy genuine hospitality, Rita’s space is an absolute gem. I’m already looking forward to the day I can return.

We felt very comfortable in the beautiful apartment and it was a good starting point for our activities. It was great that we could open the windows in the heat, as there are fly screens. A small basic supply of coffee, vinegar, oil, etc. was also provided. Unfortunately, the sunshade was not available because it fell victim to the storm shortly before - according to Matteo.

Beautiful place, everything ready with refreshments, accommodation quiet and clean ... Air conditioning functional, but almost not needed, because it was a beautiful classic Tuscan accommodation, where we definitely were not the last

This is a dream location. In the countryside, peaceful and calm with beautiful views - but you can be parked and in the centre of Siena in 15 minutes. Beautiful Tuscan architecture and stunning views. Everything was super clean with every detail thought of to make a comfortable stay. We stayed for two weeks and didn’t want to leave. We had a car so access was easy but if you want a short stay I would recommend getting a taxi to drop you off and enjoy the peace and views.

Great stay! Initially the place was a bit further out of town than we had anticipated but we still found it very accessible to lots of the things we hoped to do! The view was amazing! So peaceful to sit on the terrace!

We had such a lovely stay at Paolo's place in Montepulciano! The location was beautiful and the pool was a highlight! They also had a little playground which was great for our toddler. Paolo was very welcoming and gave great recommendations for places to eat. They grow olive trees on the property, so they provided a little bottle of homemade olive oil in the kitchen, which was delicious! Thanks for having us and we hope to come back in the future!

Il Villino Farmhouse is a wonderful place to stay in Tuscany. Its location is convenient to many adjacent towns allowing for great day trips exploring Tuscany. Liza and Daniella couldn’t have been more helpful. Liza arranged for groceries to be delivered prior to our arrival as well as a private Chef to make dinner our first night. What a special treat that was. The grounds are well cared for and offer a lot of outdoor seating options for the unit we stayed in. You won’t be disappointed staying at this lovely property.

We stayed at Aleksandra's in Montalcino in the heart of Brunello, a breathtakingly beautiful area, for a week. The large property is fantastic and with the tranquility and the view just the right thing to relax and unwind. An unforgettable experience for the whole family. This is how you imagine a Tuscan holiday. We highly recommend the place.

Family weekends that turned out to be extraordinary. The farmhouse is equipped with all the necessities. Wide indoor and outdoor spaces. We'll definitely be back!

This was the finest AirBNB home that we've ever stayed in. Every room was immaculate, the views were incredible (private and among vineyards, you can see for miles), every appliance and fixture seemed new. Everything was anticipated to make the stay perfect.....a refrigerator, bathroom and shower at the beautiful pool, pool towels in each bedroom, etc. As soon as you walk into this house, you are going to go "wow", and for good reason. Francesca came and cooked us a delicious local dinner and did some light grocery shopping for us.....all for an unreasonably LOW fee. We had another chef team come in on another night. We also visited a local winery where we had a fantastic, private wine tasting tour and lunch (Tenuta Vitalonga) and followed that up with touring Orvieto and having dinner at a very unique restaurant (Le Grotte del Funaro). Make sure you have a car or are using a bus/limo service for your transportation, nothing is walkable from this beautiful private house.

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful countryside villa! The setting is absolutely stunning — the views are breathtaking and the atmosphere is so tranquil, it was the perfect escape from the city. The highlight for us was definitely the pool. It’s beautifully maintained, with panoramic views that made every swim feel like a luxury experience. The villa itself is charming and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One small thing to note: being in the countryside, guests need to keep in ming they will need a vehicle to get around. Overall, this place was a true gem. If you're looking for peace, nature, and a stunning pool to unwind by, this villa is hard to beat. We’d happily return!

Villa Febea is the most magical place, perfect for a large family gathering and celebration. It is gorgeous, comfortable, practical and in a great location. We were given first-class treatment and felt at home and well taken care of. We were given guidance and advice on the planning of our stay over the course of many months, so when we arrived at the villa, everything fell into place perfectly. The owners offer a large selection of services and excursions and can help with just about anything. We had fantastic dinners organized for us at the villa, and we highly recommend the pasta making class followed by dinner, which was one of many highlights. We loved the place, the staff and our whole experience. A holiday and celebration to remember forever!

I cannot say enough about our trip to Martino’s villa. What a lovely villa in the cute town of San Casciano dei Bagni. We had a great family vacation, enjoying some of the smaller towns and a visit to Montepulciano . We enjoyed Eleanor’s cooking for us two nights- what an amazing chef! Martino was very responsive and helpful when we needed something. I hope we can return one day!

Absolutely recommend the stay here! The property is even more beautiful in person than in the photos and the hosts hospitality is incredible! Still can’t believe we got this incredible experience for a very reasonable price. The location is perfect for exploring Val D’orcia and at the same time very peaceful and secluded. Will return for sure! 🫶🏼
