Vacation rentals in Santiago de Alcántara

Het was een heel mooi huisje, klein, maar alles was van goed materiaal, fijne douche, mooi ingericht met leuke houtdetails. We sliepen heerlijk met de ramen open en het geluid van het riviertje, verder was het helemaal stil ‘s nachts. Buiten fijne terrassen, heerlijk met onze voeten in het riviertje gezeten, een fantastische omgeving, helemaal vrij uitzicht aan de achterkant van het huis en een lieflijk gehuchtje. We liepen elke dag een half uurtje naar Gois, een mooi dorp met rivier en heerlijke gebakjes bij de paladeria. Wij vonden het heel fijn!

Una estancia muy agradable. El alojamiento tiene todo lo necesario y está muy cuidado. Acceso fácil y cerca del centro. Muy buena comunicación con los anfitriones, que han sido muy amables. Un sitio al que nos encantaría volver.

This is a tranquil place to stay if you are looking for spot to relax! I would stay here again. If you are traveling with dogs, note that their rules do not allow the dog to be left unattended in the unit or to be on furniture/bed. They have doggy beds and water/food bowls for dogs if you need them. The units look exactly like the listing photos. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare a meal. If you are coming in on a Sunday plan to bring some groceries with you as there are not grocery stores or restaurants open nearby. I’d recommend going to Salto for a glass of wine and a stroll across the border to Portugal. This spot is also a great home base if you are looking to hike to the Dolmens or stargaze at the lookout for Berrocal de la Data. Thank you again for your hospitality. This was a wonderful stay.

Una maravilla !!! El entorno es impresionante, si vienes con la idea de respirar aire puro y escuchar solo el cante de los pájaros, despertar con ese café en mano, levantar mirada y maravillarte del paisaje que tienes delante de tus ojos …. We had a perfect stay at John’s yurt. The yurt was very well equipped, and we had everything we needed. The area was also very beautiful and a perfect place to watch the sunset and stars. We are extremely appreciative of John and family’s hospitality and warmth, not to mention going above and beyond when we had a flat tire in the morning! Definitely recommend! Thanks so much for having us, hope we will be back one day :))

Wat een fantastisch mooie omgeving! Het huis past helemaal in de rust van de prachtige natuur. Een plek om tot rust te komen en de verbinding te vinden. Atilla heeft er ook voor gezorgd dat alles in het huis er is wat er nodig is, zelfs bij slecht weer zou je je niet vervelen. Een gastheer die open is in zijn contact en openstaat voor verbeteringen. In het najaar komen we zeker terug op deze mooie en hartverwarmende plek!

Phantastic house with a beautiful huge garden, lake view and direct access to the lake. The house is a traditional stone house but the interior is very tasteful and modern. The house itself is great but the outside is even better. A large garden with different areas and absolutely beautiful trees and plants. You can see and feel that João and his family have put a lot of love into the house and the garden and thought of every detail. Bi Strong recommendation if you want to stay in a lovely house that is spacious but also very private. João is a very attentive host and very friendly. We were greeted with a warm smile, self made Olive oil and freshly picked lemons from the garden. If possible I would rate with more than 5 stars. 🙂🤩

Deze accommodatie kunnen we zeker aanbevelen! Het is een charmant huisje dat deel uitmaakt van een oud klooster. We vonden er alles waar we naar op zoek waren: een weelderige tuin met fruitbomen waarvan we mochten plukken, een open haard, een goed uitgeruste keuken en een terras met bbq. Miranda ontving ons hartelijk en heeft het huisje met zorg ingericht, er ontbrak niets. Bedankt voor deze ervaring Miranda!
