The Sea Cubby is a unique wee holiday lodge overlooking the Solway Firth. It is perched just above the waves with the most beautiful views across Portling Bay to the white sands of Merse Head nature reserve. The Lodge is not in a holiday park it stands alone with it's own private driveway, parking and garden. It’s so quiet, a retreat to escape and relax, by sitting watching and listening to the waves. The Lodge has a large glass roofed deck. Well behaved dogs are considered, please ask first.

The biking and walking trails of Mabie and Dalbeattie Forest (7stanes) are close by. Colvend golf course is free to lodge guests. The area is recognised dark sky area.

It stands in its own woodland garden and features just about everything you could need for a relaxing holiday or as a centre for an active break. It sleeps six in three bedrooms; one double, one twin, one with bunk beds. There is a comfortable open-plan living area with a wood burner , well-equipped kitchen, spacious outside area with seating, plenty of parking and safe space for small people to play.

The area acts a gateway to Dumfries and Galloway, the UK's last undiscovered region. The cottage dates back to the 1700s and has undergone an extensive modernisation to make it a cozy retreat for up to 4 people at anytime of the year.

This lodge benefits from a beautiful extended kitchen, a cosy lounge and an additional shower in the upstairs double bedroom. This lodge can sleep up to 6 people in 2 double and 2 single beds and accepts pets. Lodge 21 offers free swimming pool access and free golf.
