Monthly Rentals in San Giovanni delle Contee

Silvia was a very kind and caring host, she also quickly and carefully resolved an inconvenience that occurred (not her fault) while we were in the accommodation. The house is convenient and comfortable, well heated, you rest very well in the beds. Having parking right outside the front door is priceless with suitcases! The area is extremely quiet (in the morning when you wake up you can hear the birds chirping), but a 7-8 minute walk to the center of the village. Highly recommended!

The town of San Giovanni delle Contee is delightful, quiet and also easily accessible. Of great value is the multifunction club (bar, trattoria, grocery) run by people of great enthusiasm. Ada's apartment was a great choice for us, cozy, spacious and with a pellet stove that guaranteed all the necessary comfort. We took advantage of the kitchen to dine in the house, but I would recommend taking advantage of the circle practically in front of the house, for a full-immersion in the village. We arrived by motorcycle and were able to park in front of the house, as the area was completely quiet. The surroundings are of course beautiful; we visited the thermal baths of San Casciano dei Bagni (about 28 km), but towards the south you will find Sorano, Pitigliano, Sovana, ... I recommend staying at least two or three days.

This was our third stay with Francesco, it always feels like we're returning home when we visit. Francesco is always so helpful suggesting places to visit for the day or a good meal. This trip, Italy was in a heat wave and Francesco and his family were quick to get us fans and make sure we were as comfortable as possible. They also recommended a local pool which was pristine and the staff was very welcoming and the water very refreshing, we spent 2 days there and enjoyed every moment. We are very fortunate to have time to get to know Francesco and his family more, our daughter enjoyed spending time with his children and intends to keep in touch regularly. The grounds and views are absolutely breathtaking, it's the kind of place you want to curl up in a hammock surrounded by beautiful scenery, read a book and feel the breeze on your skin. The farmhouse is surrounded by greenery, not far from the town of Proceno, where we met Lorenzo who accompanied us to our destination. The road to get to the farmhouse is not paved only in the last part, but it is still well maintained and easily accessible by car. The location enjoys ample privacy and a refreshing view of the valley below. Inside the spaces are very large with a very cozy living area and suitable for hosting many guests! We took advantage of both the outdoor oven, the barbecue, and the indoor fireplace: all perfectly functional! We couldn't enjoy the pool because we stayed in winter! Lorenzo proved to be extremely friendly and helpful, running to our rescue when needed! Nearby there are many towns, easily accessible, for day trips (Torre Alfina, Pitigliano, Sorano, etc.) I highly recommend the location especially for nature and animal lovers!
