Great place to stay. Quiet neighborhood. Walk able. Can walk to town or take a motor taxi to town or plaza bella. The food in town was wonderful. Fresh tortillas and all stores in the small town have fresh meat, cheese, pastries. There is a little store close to the house, the lady is so helpful and nice. You can get snacks, drinks, ice, pastries without running to town. The yard is beautiful, porch is nice and the pool.

Realmente quedamos sorprendidos con la calidez y la hospitalidad con la que fuimos tratados. La casa es además de hermosa, muy cómoda. Tiene una alberca de hotel 100% climatizada y grande. Los cuartos muy lindos, acogedores y muy limpios. Pero creo que lo mejor de todo es poder contar todo el tiempo con apoyo tanto de cocina (cocinan delicioso) como con apoyo de transporte. Aunque la casa no se encuentra estrictamente en el centro, te sientes cercana al mismo ya que son pocos los minutos que te toma ir de un lugar al otro. La privacidad de la ubicación y la tranquilidad valen la pena a cambio de la distancia que repito, es muy corta. Nos regresamos FELICES y con el corazón un poco roto por despedirnos de nuestra hermosa Doctora, la cual es además de cálida, espléndida. También de Lucy y Julia quienes nos hicieron regresar más gordos y felices. Un verdadero placer haber convivido con ellas tres. Y Abdías una JOYA que siempre estuvo atento. Súper anfitrión. Our group of six very much enjoyed our stay at Casa Utopia. Our kids liked the grounds and the pool and we loved the view and peacefulness. We enjoyed the host's recommendations, like ordering tacos for delivery and (best of all) contracting the private driver Rangel for the week. Humberto helped us when we needed anything, especially with refilling the drinking water. We went out every day for Oaxaca culture adventures and returned the tranquility of Utopia. The outdoor shower was a favorite feature of mine. We would easily book again.

Claude fue muy amable, flexible y nos encantó su VW clásico! El bungalow muy ordenado, con las comodidades necesarias, una cama súper cómoda que nos la queríamos llevar y un jardín enorme para que nuestro perrito pueda correr y merodear. La pasamos muy relajados y tranquilos. Me gustaría volver cuando todo este más verde. Muchas gracias por todo Claude!

This home is such a beautiful option for large groups! It is centrally located but is on a quiet, private street with little foot traffic. The host was very responsive, which is always a plus! If this will be your first time visiting Oaxaca, make sure to pack/purchase bug spray!

Place was fine, I underestimated the walk up to the house. Not recommended if you have a lot of luggage and have little ones but it does state not recommended for younger children. One recommendation is to write down check in process. With all the auto messages I received, I couldn’t track the check in process (gate code). House is very spacious, approx 15 min walk to the centro.

Gloria et sa sœur nous ont très bien accueillis pendant la fête des morts. Le logement était propre, conforme aux photos. Le quartier en soi n'est pas très agréable mais il se trouve à 20-25 minutes du centre-ville.

Lovely, comfortable house. The private garden provides a refuge from the city. There are plenty of stores and restaurants within walking distance. The gardener and house cleaner were very discrete and did a good job. Bedrooms are comfortable

To spend a week at Casa Tobala is a gift. Relaxing, peaceful, beautifully decorated and above all magnificent. This home is a retreat. It is my 3rd time in this amazing place. Come ready to enjoy the beauty of Oaxaca and the peace of San Pablo Etla.

Very easy to get to from the airport, less than 10min drive to El Centro. Karla responded fast to our messages. She provided a list of taxi drives. Fernando was our driver very friendly and got us around timely. The tacos across the street from the main road were really good! The coffee shop right across the Airbnb was PERFECT, specifically for those who need coffee to get their morning started. Thank you Karla for everything

We stayed for 3 nights at the Hacienda, and were very impressed. The other cabin and the hacienda were empty, so we had the place to ourselves. The pool is gorgeous and there's a great covered area with sofas and hammocks. If you are looking for a quiet escape in Oaxaca City, this is perfect!

Sven es una persona muy amable y dispuesta, Yaret y la señora Horte muy amables y cocinan riquísimo! Hay una paz inigualable en la casa Encuentro. Es poco difícil de llegar pero vale mucho la pena. Mil gracias por todo!

The house is beautifully decorated. There's a lovely piano, the pool is solar heated and clean, there are hammocks, and the adobe keeps the home naturally cool and quiet. There are great views of the mountains and the city. There is a little market and a big park nearby. The park has a library for kids and an area with toys. There is also a small hotel next door with a fantastic restaurant called Entre Sombras. The staff at the house is helpful and friendly, but they also respect your space. And Marilee is quick to respond. We all enjoyed our time in this tucked away paradise.
