We had such a wonderful stay. The home was so clean, very modern and very spacious. The host was super friendly and very very quick to cater to all our needs. We felt very safe and comfortable. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning so the house was not hot. Our stay was very enjoyable and exceed our expectations 😁

Very nice place to stay in a great camp. The hosts are super friendly and the food is also cheap and very tasty. Perfect for anyone who needs some peace of Arugam. The waves on site are something for advanced people and boards can be borrowed there. Overall, we had a really great stay.

We enjoyed our night stay at Murali place. It is located in a peaceful neighborhood and it feels very safe. Minutes away from the beach. The couple is very welcoming and made us feel like home. Our three children enjoyed all the fish feeding . We will be returning in 2 years ,2021

Super Nice Staff! Rasa, the manager is super nice and helpful. Even told us where to find the wild elephants and came with us to see them. His food was very nice as well! We were there in off-season so only 2/3 cabanas were occupied. But even in high season there is only a maximum of 30~ people there he told us. Located directly at the beach we could see the sunrise from our bed in the open cabana. Would definitely recommend!

I can only agree with the very positive reviews. This was also a very special place for me! The guest house is very quiet and at the same time within walking distance of the village. After the days before were a bit exhausting and chaotic, I was able to come here directly to relax and recharge the batteries. Far away from all the tourist crowds… Krishan and his team were also very helpful and friendly. When we were there, we decided on short notice to go on a safari that Krishan organized for us. For us, this was possible solely from the point of view that it is carried out with respect for nature and wildlife. This was definitely fulfilled in the Maduru Oya National Park. We enjoyed the curry twice, which was absolutely delicious. Regardless of the safari, one of my favorite places in Sri Lanka. Thanks Krishan!

Buffalo Rock - Lighthouse - Beach Hut

Such a happy place! 🥰 Been there during off season (Nov - Apr) and loooved it. We had a private Cabana (Buffalo Rock) and I was reading my book on the outside bed watching the beautiful sea all day long. If you are searching for a perfect place to escape everything and have a private beach whilst off season - here it is. Also, the food at The Lighthouse Beach Hut Hostel was great, they easily organized everything for us and gave us a ride.

A thatched-roof gazebo is situated by the water's edge, surrounded by lush greenery and tall grass. The serene body of water reflects the sky and is framed by trees in the background, creating a tranquil outdoor setting.

Exceeded expectations! We stayed in one of the tents near the river, better than the pictures and the morning view is 👌🏼 The staff go above and beyond to make your experience. We enjoyed having tea on our little patio watching the sunset! We did both the jeep and land safari. Jeep and binoculars look new and we did not see another jeep/boat in the national park! We saw herds of elephants (baby ones too), loads and loads of birds, lizards. It’s alive with wildlife and untouched. Also Could not fault the food. Only wish is that we stayed longer! It’s a little slice of heaven. Would highly recommend.

Great place, superb location, beautiful balcony , very clean. It’s like a flat in Europe just with a charm. Just one thing: it’s rented by rooms but we as a couple ended up booking the whole place as it’s impossible to share place with strangers , to share a small bathroom it can get very uncomfortable , but ok for a group of friends or family. The host is were very accommodating, we got a perfect agreement . Highly recommended !

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Thevalakshumie's Place in Batticaloa, and it was a delightful experience. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to find and conveniently accessible to all the major attractions. The amenities provided were essential and met all my needs. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the cozy atmosphere made me feel right at home. The host was helpful, providing clear instructions and prompt communication. My only regret is not being able to stay longer. I would love to come back in the future and highly recommend Thevalakshumie's Place to others visiting Batticaloa.

We had a lovely time at never been to lagoon town Batticaloa. Javid is a great host. Nothing is too much trouble for Javid. He was always available to answer any queries.Javid arranged local transport and a trip to Passikudah. He also brought some local sweets and drinks for us to try. We had dinner at never been twice which was prepared by Javid’s mum which was delicious. It’s a home from home. The apartment is within minutes of walking distance to shops and other amenities. Thank you Javid for your warm hospitality and we wish you all the best for the future.

We had a wonderful experience at Dilu's homestay! Rusi and Sandrine gave us a very warm welcome when we arrived. We shared a fantastic home cooked meal. Our room was clean and spacious with a balcony over their beautiful garden. Jothy greeted us in the morning with a delicious local breakfast and taught us about some of her plants. Very beautiful place, super peaceful and friendly, you feel like you're alone in the world and the direct access to the beach is magical. The only downside is the food on site which is a little expensive and few other options nearby because it's quite secluded, but it's also part of the charm!

We stayed 4 nights in the Kattu Cabana, an open stilt house. If you would like to have a special experience, this cabana is ideal. You can watch the sunrise from bed. Hilltop offers a communal dinner for all guests. It was really a great experience to be there.

Absolutely gorgeous location & setup. Quite far away from anything but perfect for a remote, relaxing spot and they have everything you need there anyway. The rooms (inc. outdoor bathroom) are very well designed and clean, host Rasa is very sweet, helpful and a fabulous cook - the rice and curries were delicious, and the fries were amazingly seasoned too 😂 You can't be afraid of frogs if you want to stay here but a fantastic place and very happy with our stay.
