Vacation rentals with lake access in Salt Spring Island

A beautiful setting that is a great place to relax with a few couples. It is roomy and has great gathering and relaxation spots inside and out. There lots of kitchen implements for cooking, tons of linen, and it’s very clean.

What a great spot! Nestled in the woods in a peaceful and quiet setting this place is truly one-of-a-kind. The house is very unique with lots of character that sets it apart from the usual stays. It was clean and had all we needed. Our host Gramma Rikki was exceptionally warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate, and we could not take advantage of all the outdoor spaces and amenities. We played pool, sat by the cozy fire and did some island exploring by car. All in all it was a very enjoyable and relaxing getaway despite the crummy weather. We hope to return one day and experience everything this wonderful place has to offer.

We had a fantastic stay. The unit was perfectly clean and had thoughtful touches throughout. The view out of the living room window is amazing. And Wendy was a great host. We would highly recommend this spot!

We had a great time at Suzannes apartment. It’s very well equipped and nicely located close to the lake with many things to do around Lake Cowichan.

The views of the lake are incredible. We enjoyed our stay so much we added an extra night.

My stay at Mermaid Crossing in Point Roberts, WA, was wonderful. The unit was very spacious, beautifully decorated and so clean. Lan has thought of everything that a traveler could need. I especially appreciated the full kitchen and the exceptional shower in the bathroom! Lan was a wonderful hostess!

We hebben genoten van een heerlijke week. Dichtbij start Ironman Victoria. Omdat het zwemmen niet doorging hebben we na afloop gezwommen in het zwembad van Sue.

Shauna was really responsive and helpful if we had any questions. The view of the lake was beautiful and the space was comfortable and worked great for our big group.

This place is an absolute gym. we absolutely loved our stay here and didn't want to leave. The cozy wood pellet stove and sauna really set this place apart. I already want to return and spend a full week here. Great price and no complaints. I feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to stay here.

Deanna is a great host very accommodating and responsive. This is our second time staying at her place. Location is perfect to watch our son racing who was participating in Shawnigan regatta. Looking forward to stay here again next year!

Super clean, super comfy, super convenient, super safe! We will be back. What a great little spot for lodging in this beautiful vacation town. We had to book the smallest, simplest unit with a pullout couch as the only bed. And we couldn't believe the bed was comfortable! My only critiques are that the fragrance in the room was too strong, the room is very bright early in the morning which made it hard tonsleep, (due to frosted glass on the door and light colored blinds,) and the bed doesn't suit someone 6'2" as my husbands shins had to rest on the hard metal frame -- the mattress was too short for him. None of these things are worth knocking off stars though. We love this place and the staff showed extra care in giving instructions. Very personable service.

Had a lovely two night stay, would totally stay with Matthew again! Kitchenette was equipped with everything to make meals at the suite; loved the long layout for tons of counter space! Outdoor space is lovely; dock is amazing to sit on in the evening, tons of wildlife in and around the river to watch.

We had such a comfortable and relaxing stay at Frank’s place. It was perfect for a family of four (kids are 12&9years old). Kids had so much fun in a warm swimming pool in the morning then we all played a foosball and pickleball at the tennis court in front of the house. Frank provides everything you need to have fun at his property. I enjoyed having breakfast at the outside table looking at beautiful lake. You can just step out of the living room and walk to the lake. What a beautiful place it was. Frank was very kind and responsible from the beginning to the end. All the towels were very clean and fluffy. Kitchen was spotless. We had enough dishes and cutleries for four of us. We didn’t feel any involvement during our stay. Thank you again, Frank! Hope we can stay again when we come back to the island.

Nice place! Garden was amazing. The suite was very cozy and felt like home. Megan was great with responding to us and communicating. Overall we loved our stay. Two minor things to note is the suite above is also an Airbnb so depending on who’s renting that at the time you might experience some noise especially in the bedroom. Other issue is lots of insects and spiders which comes hand in hand with having a nice garden.

Always a great place to stay in the Shawnigan Lake area. Comfortable, convenient and super cute!

Enjoy the peace and tranquility this place has to offer. It was so relaxing to stare out at the wonderful bay and see otters play outside on the docks. I will always remember this place and will 100% come back to it. The host is wonderful and responsive and checked in on me various times to make sure we were enjoying our visit. I wish more hosts were like this! Cannot recommend this place any higher!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful lake-side cottage. The place is right on the lake with amazing views. The interior is super cozy, with comfy couches and beds. It's one of those places where you immediately feel at home. Our hosts were incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful. We would love to come again!

Lovely stay at Maple Ridge Cottages, cute little cozy space to hangout by the lake. This would be the perfect place in the summer while you can jump into the lake and use the provided water equipment (canoe, paddle-boards) enjoyed the wood burning fireplace at night and cooked our own meals on the BBQ. Only a short driving distance to town.

The cottage and surrounding area was extremely peaceful and absolutely beautiful. I recommend coming out here if you want true relaxation

Leah’s cabin was a perfect place for our mother-daughter getaway. The cabin was beautifully designed, very comfortable, and had some lovely and unique amenities like the wood stove! The surrounding grounds were very scenic and the lake was easily accessible. We would definitely recommend this spot to anyone travelling to salt spring and are eager to come back ourselves. Thanks for having us!

Amazing place to stay. My kids love the cottage and spend most of the time outside playing in nature. Ashley was quick to respond. We will definitely would like to come back here again.

We had a very peaceful and comfortable stay. We truly appreciated the opportunity for a late check-out, which made things much easier for us. Our son was participating in a regatta on Shawnigan Lake, so staying at Shery’s place was incredibly convenient.
