Cottage vacation rentals in Salcombe

Debbie’s place is a little piece of paradise, the setting is stunning, the gardens are fantastic and the cottage is warm and cosy whilst also being spacious and really well laid out. We had everything we needed and immediately felt at home. The open plan kitchen into the cosy living room left us all feeling connected, utility space was really useful, conservatory with stunning views allowed us to dine together and relax during the day. Outside area is also stunning for meals on the patio and bbq’s and the hot tub was great to relax in on an evening looking at the stars in peace and tranquility.. there’s a slight walk up to the property across a field but once you’re in the cottage and its gardens it’s worth every step. Great for the dogs too. Loads to do in the area, our highlight was Lyme Regis beach.. many thanks to Debbie and everyone who made us feel so welcome. We would go back to Debbie’s place in a heartbeat!

Lovely cottage, had everything we needed for a great week. Well appointed kitchen and bathrooms. All the crockery, utensils and pans you need for cooking. Hot tub was certainly a favourite and well used! Nice to have plastic ‘glasses’ for use outside. Great selection of games was a nice surprise. Being able to walk the dog right from the doorstep made it so easy - we really enjoyed exploring the smallholding. Hosts were very quick to respond with answers and support. Yes, the Tesco delivery man did manage to find us and unload :-)

Very lovely place, me and my girlfriend stayed here for a weekend and had no complaints. The host responded quickly and the property looked exactly like the photos. All the extra little touches like the fire wood, slippers, eggs and etc really made us feel welcome. Overall we really enjoyed our stayed and would happily stay here again.

The surroundings were lovely and a large enclosed garden was great for the dog and our 3 children. we had many a happy night in the hot tub. Lots of things for the kids to play with. We drove to all the local beaches would say most things are within an hour's drive and would recommend watermouth castle as a day out if you have kids!

We had a beautiful week at The Cart Barn, beautiful location with beautiful views and a private garden which was perfect for our pooch! we spent most of our evenings watching the beautiful cows out the garden! the hot tub was a lovely addition and the barn had everything we needed to make ourselves and our dog feel at home! Some great recommendations in the welcome book and from the owners of local things to do! Will definitely be returning in the future! :)

Lower Marsh Farm is brilliant. Wonderful location, excellent facilities, peaceful and calm. Due to the rural location, you do need a car to get there and navigate the area. Olivia the host is incredibly attentive, the instructions for getting there are clear, the optional services are excellent, and the setting is idyllic. We visited with two young children who were captivated by the wildlife and farm animals. Enjoy!

What an amazing stay! It was everything we were hoping for and more. The cottage had everything we needed and also some nice personal touches too. It was so relaxing sitting in the hot tub, listening and watching the birds . The weather was a little unsettled for us but not a problem, as we could sit in the summer house, and look out at the lovely view and our neighbours the sheep! Claire was very responsive with messaging and will look forward to visiting again soon. 🙂

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to return! Harbour Cottage was lovely and clean and in a perfect location. It had everything we needed and more, the cream tea that was left for us when we arrived was a wonderful touch too. Plenty of beautiful beaches to explore nearby and some wonderful restaurants, we highly recommend!

Thyme cottage was such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. The cottage is characterful and comfortable and well equipped. The fireplace was a wonderful, warm touch. The village of Woodbury Salterton is charming and friendly and close to Exeter. The Diggers Rest is a must! Stop in for a friendly pint or even better for a meal. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. Thyme cottage will be among our top stays.

Thank you Luke & Beccy for a great few days. We needed to relax but still have amenities around us. You were right, we didn’t need to move the car once it was parked. I know we could have travelled & explored but it was more about relaxing in a home from home.

What a treat! We had a 4 night stay in this beautiful house where every last detail has been thought about to add to your enjoyment and comfort. Everything was first class, very comfortable beds and pillows, spotless bathrooms with proper size towels, plenty of good cutlery and tableware, utensils for cooking if you wanted to cook. The house was a delight with lovely deep sofas overlooking one of the balconies to the ever changing landscape of the waters beyond. It would be hard not to enjoy whatever the weather throws at you! What an absolute gem. Tucked away down a quiet country lane and within easy walking distance of a beach this place was an absolute delight to stay in. Check in was a breeze and we found the property to be clean and well equipped, matching its online description perfectly. The property had a lovely garden with seating and was only a ten minute walk from Sidmouth donkey sanctuary. The property came with a useful information book with recommendations for places to eat which we used. A number of other well known south Devon coastal towns were only a short drive away and the property was only 30 minutes drive from Lyme Regis and the Jurassic coast. Thoroughly recommend this wonderful property. Thank you Linda for a lovely stay.

Lovely cottage positioned in a lovely village within close proximity to Paignton

We were so happy with our stay, Kelly was extremely attentive and we could tell from the start that she was going to be a great host. If you want to stay in the Challaborough area, there is no better place to stay than in this cottage. Thank you 🙌

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautifully presented property in fantastic surroundings. The house was extremely well presented with great facilities and a beautiful garden to relax in. We enjoyed exploring the beautiful coastline and had a delicious meal at the local Rise and crown. We would love to stay again.

Moorland View Cottage is an absolute gem of a place. It’s so charming and very tastefully furnished, and we had a wonderful time. Suzy was such a friendly, proactive and kind host. The linens and kitchen equipment were all of high quality, the little garden was very pretty, and we all slept very well in the peaceful village of North Bovey. The rooms aren’t huge but they are very cosy and immaculately presented, with lovely views. The local pub The Ring of Bells has friendly service and top-notch food. Last but not least the book selection at the cottage was very well chosen and extensive, including loads of information and maps about the local area. Suzy sent a very helpful email before arrival about the local sights, shops etc. All in all a very memorable stay. We loved it. Thank you!

Wow we loved this place so so much! Firstly it was within the most peaceful setting you could imagine. Sitting out in the garden was so serene, and the wood fired hot tub was a fun bonus! Inside was immaculate, so cosy and homely! Absolutely everything you might think you need was supplied! The upstairs bedroom/bathroom was dreamy! Surrounded by lovely walks (the coastal footpath was only 5 minutes walk away) and close by to some gorgeous Devonshire villages/towns, I genuinely couldn’t fault this property! Hopefully we will be back soon! ☺️

This absolutely charming cottage is in one of the most beautiful locations in the UK, bar none. Walk/run straight from the garden with your family/dog on to the South West Coast Path and you can meander along the coast for miles in either direction, its perfect! The cottage, while remote, has everything you need, gorgeous bedrooms with sea views and a great pub & cafe roughly 20 mins walk away (uphill). We will definitely return and are already looking forward to doing so.

Thank you Steph, we had a lovely week at your beautiful home, great facilities and nice to have TVs in two of the three bedrooms, treats and towels and blankets for the dog was also a nice touch. Allocated Parking for two cars was also great. The views were spectacular but within a quiet setting. Lots of good recommendations from Steph for dog walks and places to eat. The property is within a short drive to Dartmouth Harbour which is a real gem. The weather was glorious, we took a ferry to get on a steam train to Paignton, spending a few hours there and went on a hour cruise around Dartmouth, taking in spectacular views of the harbour and Dartmouth Castle. We walked to the Green Dragon Inn for dinner and found this a most welcoming place, we were impressed that they rang back when I tried to book and no one answered, sensible to book in advance if you can! A great place to stay, comfy beds and supermarkets nearby. Thanks again Steph for a great stay!

A fantastic apartment in the heart of Brixham. The view from the kitchen is absolutely stunning and if you're luckily enough to enjoy some sunshine the patio is fabulous too. Brixham itself is a wonderful harbour to explore with great walks to enjoy from the town itself. Lots of steps to and from the apartment but just adds to the adventure. Thank you for a great stay!

Very comfortable place with spectacular view over the ocean (the sunset!). Unfortunately we had to shorten our stay and wish we could have stayed longer to explore more of the area. The kitchen is well equipped and we were able to make the evening meals at the house which was convenient as we were travelling with a baby.

Lovely accommodation and quiet, pretty location close to some great places and a quick drive to Totnes. Photos don’t do it justice. Spacious, serene and well thought out. A pretty garden and exclusive use of the parking right outside. Lovely hosts who gave a warm welcome but otherwise felt a very private stay.

We had a lovely, lovely time and the accommodation played a big part in this. The light kitchen and courtyard garden were especially gorgeous. The location is second to none, and Kath has been a superb host. Would 100% stay here again and recommend it.
