A truly unforgettable stay! This private, spacious boathouse was an absolute dream. From the moment we arrived, we were wowed by the unique character and thoughtful design—especially the stunning bolted ceiling that give the space more charm with a touch of grandeur. The bed was comfortable, making every night restful and serene. The bathroom was great with a big walk-in shower, and heated floors were a luxurious bonus we didn’t know we needed! Everything was spot on, blending comfort with a sense of adventure. If you’re looking for a stay that’s both cozy and strikingly unique, this is it!

We came as a group of 7 for the 2025 Comic Festival. We were greeted with a friendly welcome that immediately put us at ease. Accommodation is clean and tidy, the items made available are well indicated and suitable (towel, kitchen, dishwasher etc.). The setting is quiet and peaceful, less than a 10-minute walk to the bus stop. Thanks for your kindness!

This was a lovely place to stay, as detailed in the description. We stayed for a week and the kids loved having a pool. The owners dog does roam in the garden, which our kids were a bit afraid of but the owners did try to call her back in. The other thing to note is that the property is very close to a train line so you hear the trains. We really enjoyed our stay with David and Corinne, they were on hand when we needed to ask things but even when they use their garden you don’t feel like they are intruding. We would definitely stay again.

Wow!! Marie's house was beautiful and in lovely, tranquil surroundings. We were a party of 5 and the house and amenities were perfect. It was great to have a swimming pool to cool off from the summer sun. We booked for a week at a late stage but from the first enquiry to Marie and throughout our time there Marie was always very quick and helpful to respond. We absolutely recommend this wonderful house and host, but hopefully there will still be the opportunity for us to book again when we are in the Charente.

The place is very beautiful and serene. The house is clean and very modern. The entrance is a bit difficult to find and you need to bring your own towels, but otherwise it was a lovely stay.

We really liked Thomas’ place. The pool is much better than the photos look and the pool was very clean. A great little seating area under a canopy and plenty of sun loungers. Rarely used by anyone else! Good location for road cycling (road cyclists from UK will find the roads undulating and open). Really nice peaceful setting. Really quiet. WiFi good enough to do video calls to work from the house.

We had a great stay. Christie and Jean-Marc are very friendly, helpful and hospitable, they made us feel at home straight away. The gite has all the comforts, is very clean and well equipped. Being able to use the nice size pool is a plus. Great location close to all amenities and a beautiful chateau. We will be back.

We only stayed one night at the accommodation because we were just passing through, but everything was perfect! We were hosted very well, with small touches, the accommodation is as clean as can be, very beautiful. The area is very quiet. I recommend it!

A gem of a place ! It is not easy to find places in the region that are not exorbitantly expensive or furnished from grandma's leftovers; this hits a perfect note with a mixture of stylish antiques and comfort, everything has been thought of down to the Savon de Marseille in the bathrooms! Clearly lots of love has been poured into the house and it shows, from a well stocked larder with everyday essentials (including coffee pods for the machine) to the lovely welcome hamper. The garden at the back overlooking the old monastery is perfect and very secluded and even though it was only April I managed to eat outside each morning and evening (there are 3 other terraces too). The host is on hand easily for tips on where to eat or visit if needed. Tusson is a great village with a good places to eat including the wonderful Gateaux for amazing cakes.

Charming and very accommodating hosts (Jean-Gabriel and his wife). Perfect accommodation, corresponding in every respect to the description, very clean (accommodation visibly new) and perfectly equipped, top bedding, individual air conditioning in each bedroom (each bedroom has its own private bathroom) and in the living/dining room, a very nice terrace. You don't need to bring anything with you, because you'll find everything you need... the kindness of the hosts as a gift! Frankly, it's one of the top three Airbnb homes I've been able to do, and I've done "a few" of them. Thanks both of you 👍

Perfect location for visiting Angoulême and its region. Beautiful little house with character in a secure residence. I would highly recommend it.

What more can I say than exceptional? We'll be back soon and for longer. Impeccable service, simple, fast and available communication. We feel so good in this place! Best accommodation near Angoulême that we could try.

We had booked Hermine's house for 9 nights, were very, very friendly received by the co-host Mélanie, who looked after us very nicely in person or by phone during our entire stay with all questions. The house is very nice, cozy and tastefully decorated. The kitchen has everything you need. For us, the location was ideal because we like peace and seclusion. The surrounding villages are very small and tranquil, but you can shop nearby. We did some bike tours, the paths are well developed. We also enjoyed Angoulème very much. All in all a nice stay and perfect care! Merci beaucoup à Mélanie! Note: The stairs to the upper floor are beautiful but not suitable for people who are not good on their feet. You must not enter with shoes, it has no handrail and is very irregular and smooth. But that was no problem for us.

Beautiful and charming house on three levels with a lovely little garden to enjoy the outdoors. The house was very clean and well equipped. Very quiet environment and quick access to downtown. Thank you Christophe for hosting us.

Jane was the best, most helpful and most reliable host I have ever encountered. She helped me retrieve left behind luggage by spending hours on the phone with DHL and the car rental office where my luggage was left. Jane’s property is in a stunning location, surrounded by wheat and sunflower fields and as I am an artist it was perfect. The house was beautiful and spotlessly clean, decorated with excellent taste and thought to every detail. It is located about 25 minutes from Angoulême, a small city with excellent restaurants and shops. It is also in easy access to many small and pretty villages like Auberterre Sur Dronne. I highly recommend staying at Jane’s in Champagne-Vigny. I highly recommend this property

I recommend it without hesitation, Astrid is human and that's not common. A woman who is there for any problems. Very nice, the area was so quiet that I've never slept so well. The house was so clean that I didn't want to dirty it. I felt right at home, I didn't want to leave. There was everything you need in a house, even more than you need. Thanks again a thousand times. The stay at Stéphanie's went perfectly. You will find all the comforts you need, and even more. The accommodation is well-equipped, the terrace with barbecue as well as the quiet garden offer a real moment of relaxation, all in the city center.

We had a (too) short stay at our host's place but these few nights were very peaceful, the setting was beautiful and we were welcomed as if we were at home! I recommend it 100% for lovers of nature, terroir, beautiful discoveries and French gastronomy.
