Family-friendly vacation rentals in Saint-Pardoux-le-Lac

Large and well-equipped accommodation, we were 2 families with small children and Leigh provided us with all the necessary equipment. Small downside on the cleanliness of the dishes and cutlery, we had to rewash everything before the first use. Please note that some photos of the listing are no longer relevant, including the small pizzeria supposed to be on site, that's a shame...

A lovely gite in a wonderful rural location but with good road access for exploring the area. A really well equipped kitchen and as we like to cook when on holiday this was especially appreciated. Nice downstairs space in particular with simply the best woodburner we have seen. Very responsive and friendly relaxed hosts. Recommended all round.

Second stay in Dompierre les Églises. impeccable accommodation, hosts welcoming and discreet. Great for a quiet stay with family.

Great house for 2 families, perfect for what we wanted. Lots of seating areas, kitchen was really well equipped. Pool and hot tub awesome. Nearby lake is good for beach and water sports. Hosts were great and gave good recommendation for a food festival in a nearby town. The house is in a very peaceful location, surrounded by countryside, which was great most of the time but if you want restaurants or activities it’s a drive. I would recommend the house though as it’s really well set up for a week with friends or family.

This place is heaven! Our children loved the freedom to run around and enjoy all the amazing facilities. We could not recommend it more. We will be back!

After a warm welcome from our host's little children and dog, then from our host, we discovered this little waterfront paradise. A place that has a charm that made us regret only spending one night there. The quiet and bucolic environment and the many animals for nature lovers is a real plus. Dominique is a caring and welcoming host who knows how to make you feel at home. The accommodation is cozy, super clean and very well-equipped. We will be back!

Wow, wow, wow!!!! Our stay was fantastic and we did not want to leave. The location of the house and the house itself is stunning. We visited during winter time and the pellet burner is superb providing effective heat in the living, dining and kitchen area. The heaters in the bedrooms (not used in the master as we do not like a hot bedroom, but our daughter used her one in the second bedroom and said it was perfect) were efficient and effective. We had a busy time during our stay out and about with a specific schedule as we had a reason to visit the area however we enjoyed our evenings tremendously and on our final day before checking out we walked down to the river and it was a beautiful walk with the most stunning view of the river - highly recommend the walk, only takes max 15 minutes. Will book again if we come back to the area 100%

Alain was very welcoming and introduced us to the eclectic world of his garden of curiosities. The night under the teepee made our daughter happy, delighted to sleep surrounded by forest animals!

Successful family stay at Nicolas's. Our Superhost took great care of the whole family. Functional and very well located accommodation, restaurant 2 steps away, pony club, swings, large green spaces for children, fishing, petanque, tennis, walks along the Creuse for older children. Thank you for everything 😉

Very peaceful location, the cottage is close to the owners house but is very independent. Large garden and very nice private pool. Cornelia is discreet but very available as needed. A haven of peace!

Really nice place, great area for walks with animals and/or children. Heidi is very responsive and friendly. Breakfast is excellent and varies from day to day. We'll be happy to go back!

We had a great week at Laurence's. The cottage is very nice, with lots of charm. The accommodation is very clean and well arranged. The outdoors is beautiful, quiet, with many spaces to settle in and enjoy the calm. The pool and trampoline delighted the kids. Laurence is very nice, always available, she shared her little gems about the area with us. Perfect stay!

We had the most relaxing holiday, in the most stunning location. I would say that you do need a car to get in food and explore. But if you just want to chill out and relax as a family, you really have no need to leave the house. Although we recommend exploring Lac de Vassivière, Eymoutiers and Aubusson.

We had a wonderful time at Jane and Steve's house, which we were able to get to know as wonderful people, although they always left us completely alone, who took care of us and always had very good tips at short notice with questions. We felt like very welcome guests, like friends, if we wanted to. The house is perfectly equipped, perfectly clean and in excellent condition. The garden is great, the pool is a rest. Although we had a cool weather phase, we walked and explored the close and wide area of the house many, many hours, it is so quiet and so beautiful, the people are so friendly, there is so much to see that we are very, very happy to come back if it is granted to us. Warm thanks to Steve and Jane and her kids, thank you for such a huge level of hospitality!

We had a great time with friends. The house is beautiful and very well restored. The garden is large and the pool too. Young and old loved this place! The great starry sky and cool summer evenings completed the warm sunny days. Everything was very clean and the large kitchen was very functional to prepare the big tables. The outdoor BBQ also served us a lot. The area is very beautiful and very quiet with little tourism. I would definitely recommend this home and would love to go back! Helen and Mark are very responsive and we even got some check-in gifts!
