We live in a very touristy area in the Dordogne Valley, and within a 30 km radius you can visit Autoire, Carennac, Collonges-la-Rouge, Curemonte, Loubressac all classified as "Most Beautiful Villages of France". You can also walk to Argentat, Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, Bretenoux, Martel, Saint-Céré, as well as Rocamadour or Padirac, and still admire the castles of Castelnau-Prudommat, Montal or Saint-Laurent-les-Tours. Nothing but wonders.

The Manoir was built around 1450 by the Benedictine monk Gilles del Bosce, blanket of the priory of nearby Carennac. The estate consists of a private park garden with various terraces and seats with about 10 hectares of forest and meadow including a small private lake.

Hervé's house is located in a place called a few kilometers from the village. It's a very quiet place with beautiful views. The house is spacious and well-equipped (mosquito nets, games, large storage...). The downstairs rooms should be cool in the summer. We couldn't fully enjoy the swimming spa because it was still a little cool, but in summer it must be a plus. Rocamadour is 25 km away, the cave of Presque 10 km away. Montal Castle is nearby as well as the Autoire waterfall.

Warm welcome from Elisabeth and then many friendly exchanges with Raissa. Very quiet accommodation, set back from the rest of the castle which allows some privacy. Accommodation with all the essentials to have a good time in a very typical village. The only " tricky" point could be the parking but we always found a simple solution except one night, arrived late or we fell in a municipal parking lot below. A very pleasant stay with very welcoming hosts.

Enjoyed this location. Large and spacious. The host allowed for a flexible check in which was much appreciated. He was responsible and assisted us with the air conditioning even though it was late in the evening.
