Beautiful cottage in the countryside of Livarot

Our expectations were met. Marie-France is very welcoming and the accommodation and the environment are as described. If you don't know Suisse Normande, another name for the Pays d'Auge, it's worth a visit.

My partner Nick and I stayed here for four days over Easter and had a fantastic time. Christopher and his partner were very sweet, kind, and welcoming. They shared the fascinating history of the house, which is beautifully old and full of character. The stay was peaceful, and the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom were spotless, well-equipped, and perfect for cooking at home. The location is ideal for visiting the coast, D-Day memorials, and Lisieux with the Basilica of Saint Thérèse. The property is easy to reach, has nearby parking, a lovely garden, and you can tell it’s well cared for and loved. Livarot is a small, charming town with everything in walking distance, and the nearby villages are full of châteaux and scenic views. If you’re looking for a quiet, cozy, and beautiful place to stay, especially as a couple, this is it. We’re very happy and definitely recommend it!

The cottage fully met our expectations. I would say that the place is even better than the photos, especially the surrounding area, which Peter and Sandrine and their children take care of with love. Great hosts, beautiful place in the countryside, amazing accommodation with all the amenities and tasteful decoration. Highly recommend!!
