Apartment vacation rentals in Saint-Jean-le-Vieux

We have stayed in over 30 Airbnb's and Vrbos, and this apartment is THE QUEEN of them all. It is more spectacular than even Adrien's description with 180-degree ocean and lighthouse views. The location is unbeatbale - many good restaurants within 1,000 yards and all of Biarritz right at your feet. The apartment is on the top floor; it is very spacious and totally equipped; entire place is immaculate; and it is quiet and very secure. Plus - - - Biarritz is a treasure trove of history, beauty, friendly people, and great food. The entire experience deserves a 100.00% rating. It is worth every Euro. We cannot wait to get back!

Monique is indeed a great host, smiling, kind, and responsive to my messages. She has good advice on hiking and what to see in the area. The accommodation is impeccable and spacious, located in a quiet area, close to other cities to visit (e.g. St Jean de Pied de Port). Our little stay in the Basque country was very successful. We strongly recommend!

Dominique and Maider are very kind, welcoming and friendly hosts. Thank you for the very nice Monday evening aperitif, but also for these moments of sharing life on the farm (milking the sheep). The accommodation is very good, functional with all the comforts you need. We recommend it, it's a beautiful place where we'll be sure to come back.

Lovely apartment just steps away from the Pilgrim’s office. Walkable to all the sites. My only issue was the washing machine had a problem and the door wouldn’t open to release my clothes, but Marie has been very responsive to get this addressed. Ultimately, I had to leave without my clothes (held hostage by the (not so) ‘smart’ washing machine. But I am hopeful Marie will be able to send them to me further along my journey. I arrived in St Jean after an overnight flight to Paris and an all day series of train rides. I knew I would want some time to recover before starting the Camino and Marie’s apartment was perfect. It could have accommodated more than 1 person easily and I was expecting my adult son to accompany me but his plans changed. I would stay again, but I’d be careful of washing clothes in the machine even though this seemed a bit one-off.

We couldn't find a better option for our vacation! We found a very clean, spacious and well-equipped house. The garden, a little gem, very well cared for and with the option to cook outside. The house is ideal for disconnecting thanks to its location, but it also has a village with restaurants, supermarkets, etc. just a 5-minute drive away. And from there you can reach many more places (Biarritz, St Jean de Luz, Pau among others that we visited). The owners, who live in the adjacent house, are very friendly and helpful while still being discreet. Highly recommended option also for children (we went with our 2-year-old son) to live a nature experience without giving up certain home comforts. Great stay. Very clean and very pleasant accommodation with a terrace and a beautiful view of the Basque landscape. Chantal is very nice and welcoming. I highly recommend this place.

Functional home decorated with taste. Quentin and his partner were very accessible. The gift on arrival gave us a taste of the Basque Country.

Maitena's apartment was lovely. we were able to prepare our meals and sleep well in the quiet location. Parking just by the door was a bonus.

A friendly stay in the countryside! Friendly and welcoming hosts. Very nice for the children to have all the farm animals nearby.

Very cozy, modern accommodation and in line with the photos in every respect. The location is an asset, with proximity to the lake, shops and the beach. Perfect bedding. And the best part, a garage with a very steep slope (be careful). Too bad the cleaning is extra but especially very expensive. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Marie-Hélène and her husband are very welcoming and give good advice for visiting the surroundings. The setting is perfect for people who love peace and quiet and the mountains. Good location for sightseeing, hiking and more. We recommend.

This is a wonderful spot on the ocean with stunning views! It’s an easy walk to beaches and downtown and a fantastic place to start exploring Biarritz by bike or on foot. We had a great time, apartment is spacious, awesome kitchen, bed and balcony !

Joelle is a very professional, committed host, she is very proactive and gives a lot of advice when needed. The accommodation is very clean and safe, with an exceptional location; everything is within walking distance; bakeries, restaurants, beach, shops, grocery stores, cafes, etc. Hossegor is a friendly, relaxing destination, where life is good, our vacation was exceptional!!

What a beautiful view! The accommodation is clean and convenient, well soundproofed, good bedding and fireplace available for cool evenings. Valerie and her husband are adorable, responsive and caring. Our little boy was thrilled to make tractor holes, thank you! I'm glad he was able to discover the farm. The environment is beautiful, it is worth the climbs and turns by car 😅 It takes about 20 minutes to go to St Jean Pied de Port because the farmhouse is secluded, so we enjoy the view and the cows 😉

Communication and hospitality were perfect, with very appreciable kindness and benevolence. The location is amazing, once the suitcases are put down, everything can easily be done on foot. The view from the deck is fantastic. The quality of the bedding is very good and the accommodation is tastefully decorated. EVERYTHING comes together for a very pleasant stay and to create wonderful memories.
