Surrounded by woodland with hilltop views across the Wye Valley to Offa’s dyke, this eco friendly traditional Monmouthshire cottage is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature at its very best. Spend time in the garden listening to bird song and the gentle babbling of the stream or step out the gate to explore Cleddon Falls and beautiful view points along the Wye Valley walk. The medieval village of Trellech and Tintern Abbey are also within easy reach off or on road by foot, bike or car.

Lambsquay House - Apartment One
Lambsquay House is a beautifully restored 300 year old Georgian Country House, located in the picturesque Forest of Dean, situated between popular tourist attractions, Puzzlewood and Clearwell Caves. A former hotel, it has undergone extensive renovations and is now home to Calico Interiors, a family run interiors/soft furnishing business, occupying the ground and first floor. The second floor has been converted into two self catering apartments with private entrance accessed via a staircase.

Hayloft studio in historic barn
Our hayloft studio is on the first floor at the end of a large barn on one side of an historic Grade 2 listed former farmyard. The studio has now been sympathetically renovated to provide cosy, comfortable and characterful accommodation. St Briavels is at the centre of excellent walking country with many walks straight from the door to woods, fields and streams. Puzzlewood, Clearwell caves and the Perrygrove Railway are all within 10 minutes drive. The pub and village shop are 2 minutes walk.

Lovely annexe, double bedroom and bunk room for 2 children upto age 12. Linen and towels provided. Shower room. kitchenette with sink and fridge, air fryer, microwave and toaster, crockery and cutlery. Use of washing machine. Conservatory for relaxing. Garden available for guest use. Ideal location for Offas Dyke walkers and wedding guests for Clearwell castle and Double Barn. Close proximity to Puzzlewood, Perrygrove railway, Clearwell caves and Symonds Yat. Travel cot available on request.

Peaceful Stone Cottage among fabulous gardens
The Garden House is a peaceful stone cottage set in the historic gardens of High Glanau Manor, the home of H. Avray Tipping (1855-1933) the Architectural Editor of Country Life Magazine from 1907. High Glanau Manor is an important Arts & Crafts house set in 12 acres of gardens designed in 1922. The gardens retain many original features including formal terraces, octagonal pool, glasshouse, pergola and 100 ft long double herbaceous borders. There are spectacular views to the Brecon Beacons

The Old Cider Mill
The Old Cider Mill is a beautifully converted old cider barn set in the wonderfully peaceful monmouthshire countryside. The cottage is a fabulous romantic and tranquil retreat set in one acre of meadow and adjoining spinney. Perfectly situated to explore all the wye valley, and nearby forest of dean, has to offer. This cosy cottage sleeps two guests and has an open plan living area with a woodburning stove. Outside is lovely gravelled courtyard with furniture and off road parking.

We are fairly rural, so what 3 words is a great way to find us, they are: endlessly.balance.drummers Saint Briavels is a vibrant little village in the Forest of Dean, on the edge of the beautiful Wye Valley. It has an inn, a deli, a church and a castle. A monthly farmers' market is held in the village on the first Saturday morning of every month, where you can buy a whole range of local produce.
