Horses for courses: If you value comfort with character, your own place, a peaceful retreat from the tourist hordes at the end of a hectic day, a more authentic Venetian experience (where you can pretend to be a ´local´), then this is for you. Guidecca is a gem. If you want a sterile, ´off-the-shelf´/´could-be-anywhere´ 5-star and five times the price hotel, then next door (The Hilton Stucky) is for you. Just by the way, the washing machine is great. The oven is perfect (ref. a previous review). Noise is fine , though the dawn chorus is like Vivaldi´s ´Primavera´opening at about 06.00. If you don´t like too much sunshine, then the sunset from the west-facing kitchen window over the Guidecca Canal may not be for you. Ethically/socio-economically I did have guilt. The impact of mass tourism on our beautiful cities and cultures and demographics is alarmingly awful and not sustainable. Having said that, Venice has always been on the Grand Tour list... I´d go back.

Elena was fantastic. Very proactive with communication, and gave clear directions on how to get to her place when arriving from the airport. The space was lovely and was exactly as described, in a quiet area.

We had a great stay in Venice. Your apartment, in La Giudecca was very suitable for this stay - quiet to rest after the frenzy in the center of Venice - very clean - well equipped - near vaporetti stations - nearby shops. A place we recommend of course.

We loved the loft apartment and the location! After being in the heart of Venice, it was nice to come back to the apartment, where it was quiet and in a great area to walk to local restaurants.
