  • We had a great stay at Grahams at the weekend. It's conveniently located for Shrewsbury and we were able to walk into the centre for the evening. He organised a really efficient check-in process and the little apartment is spotless, stylish and has everything you might need. It's quite likely we'll ask to stay again next time we visit Shrewsbury!

The flat is up several outside steps and a staircase but it is worth it for the rooftop view and peace from any street level noise. The flat is recently renovated to a high standard and well equipped. Highly recommended.

  • The first thing I thought when I saw the flat was "I wish we were staying longer" It is a great space and the whole place is sparkling clean. The bathroom and kitchen are especially lovely. The location is fantastic - right in the centre of Shrewsbury so everything is right on the doorstep. If we go back to Shrewsbury again this will be one of the first Airbnb properties we will be checking for availability.

    Kathryn2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • This flat is brilliantly central for Shrewsbury. Everywhere was a really easy walk. We drove across the river and parked on a quiet residential street so didn’t have to pay for parking. Plenty of space in the flat. Wi-fi was good Bed was comfy. Bathroom small but perfectly formed. Finding tea, coffee and sugar when we arrived was really helpful. We just had to pop out for a pint of milk and we were all set. Key pick up was easy. Sue met us at exactly the right time, exactly where expected and showed us how everything worked. Key drop off was simple too. If you’re eating out, The Olive Tree - 5 minute walk over the river - was absolutely brilliant with great cocktails, lovely tapas and a sun trap outdoor space with blankets and shade. Lovely. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

The perfect romantic retreat! You’ll love my apartment because of it's beautiful, restful, is in a great location, has a comfy bed, gorgeous high ceilings, light and airy sash windows, and a garden for relaxing. Crack open a bottle of bubbly and relax, or explore the shopping and nightlife right on the doorstep. Great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. Free parking on site for one car - rare in Shrewsbury - and for Airbnb guests only! NB: no TV, but WiFi streams beautifully.
There’s a peaceful quality to Church Apartment that makes it every inch the sophisticated bolthole for two, yet it’s within easy walk from the picturesque centre of Shrewsbury. See the sights and enjoy the shopping, then relax and put your feet up on the huge sofa in the open plan living, kitchen and dining area, before falling asleep in the glamorous, comfortable bed.
The county town of Shropshire, Shrewsbury’s an historic market town set on the banks of the river Severn. Lined with wattle and daub buildings that tell the tale of its history, the town’s a favourite with foodies, shoppers and those in search of some true time out. Church Flat is just a short walk over the Welsh Bridge away from town, and within a stone's throw of Theatre Severn. There are pubs, bars and restaurants right on the doorstep.
  • Church Apartment is a well-located, beautifully styled with good information supplied by Suzanne. The area is very quiet and it’s only a short walk to the centre of town. The apartment is thoughtfully appointed and there are so many lovely touches to make our stay memorable and very comfortable.

    Claire2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Church Apartment is a well-appointed studio flat in close proximity to the town centre. If you're attending an event at University Centre Shrewsbury as we were, it is literally just down the road. Suzanne was a helpful and responsive host, and we enjoyed our stay.

  • Lovely place, really nice touches and a very friendly welcome.

    Harriet2019-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Suzanne's flat is beautiful. It's quiet and peaceful and it has quite possibly the most comfortable bed I've ever had the pleasure of sleeping in. It is well equipped for a short stay and communication for any additional needs or questions is easy. The flat is just a short walk into the lovely town of Shrewsbury. I would thoroughly recommend this flat.

    Lindsey2019-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • A quiet and relaxing apartment a short walk from the Welsh Bridge to all the shops and restaurants in Shrewsbury. Plenty of room for two persons, kitchen area has everything you would need. Ideal not having a TV as we used our kindles. The bathroom was quite small but fine for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved the chandeliers.

    Angela2019-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • church Flat is such a wonderful place to stay. The location is perfect, just a pleasant walk to town. The accommodation has everything you could wish for. The decor is a feast for the eyes, well thought out. Everything fits and doesn't feel overcrowded. Suzanne really goes the extra mile to make her guests feel comfortable. The only problem I had was, even though I entered the alternate post code as recommended my sat nav is set for the shortest route so depending on what direction you arrive in Shrewsbury it may not work. I still ended up the wrong side of the bollards!

    Debbie2019-02-25T00:00:00Z

We loved the little touches in the apartment and the homely feel. We would definitely return to the Church flat.

This charming little terrace house , is situated on the banks of the river Severn loop, which is only a few minutes walk from the beautiful town centre of Shrewsbury. I recently redecorated, creating a home from home feel sharing some of my art and pieces from our travels around the world. Coleham has a village feel, which is well catered with local cafe's, butchers, pubs and a convenience store all 100 yards away. I live next door and am available should you need any help during your stay.
the 'Annex' (home) has two bedrooms and bathrooms (one shower, one bath) and a comfortable lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped should you wish to self cater. We have built a small deck that you access through the rear french doors and enjoy an impeded river view.
Our favourite coffee shop is called House which does great food and coffee, run by some neighbours. There is selection of pubs with Cross Foxes being a classic local pub.
  • Great location and really did feel like a home from home, lots of lovely touches, many books and lovely blankets to wrap up in, all the essentials in the fridge/kitchen. Very quiet and relaxing and literally minutes to walk into the town. We found a parking space in a crescent about a minute away and the area has a lovely village feel with a few shops and cafes and pub on the doorstep. Can’t fault it, will be back!

  • Lovely house in a great location.

  • Warm and cosy, stylish place, very handy for town centre. Close to local shop, pub and riverside walks.

  • Great location near the main centre but still nice and quiet. The house is cosy with nice touches like games books and a stocked fridge.

    Joanna2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely compact house with all I needed: comfortable bed, good space to work, well-equipped kitchen and really thoughtful supplies in the fridge on arrival. And the view over the river first thing in the morning - beautiful.

    Steven2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this place for my parents and since they've come home all they've talked about is how lovely and homely this place is! The view from their window was beautiful and only a short walk into the city centre. They really could not fault it and would love to go back and book The Annex again 😊

    Emily2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house, lovely view. Home from home. There's no coffee maker, no TV and no parking, which might be relevant to some people (in case you want to bring alternatives). The nearest shop is a Spar (so you might want to stop at a proper supermarket en route). The beds are very comfy, the living room is really cosy, the decor is tasteful, the river views are lush and the place is perfectly located for walking beside the river and into town.

My place is close to the town centre, railway station and bus station. You’ll love my place because of the large comfy bed, you have your own space and it's great value. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers. See our other listings - we also have a single bed and a double bed in our house listed on Airbnb, so can accommodate larger groups.
This is a 2 berth touring caravan which is parked in the front garden of our house. It has a large and comfortable double bed, wardrobe and cupboard space and cooking facilities in the form of a microwave and hob. There is heating and electric lighting, a kettle and toaster. There is a chemical toilet, for night time emergencies, and guests are welcome to use the bathroom, shower and toilet in the house. There is wireless fibre broadband available to guests at no extra charge. There is off road parking in the driveway. The house stands near a main road, so guests must be aware that there is some traffic noise, especially in the morning. This is not the Ritz, so is relatively basic accommodation, however this is reflected in the price.
The house is about 20 minutes walk from the town centre, 15 minutes walk from the station, and on a regular bus route to both. There is the Dolphin Inn, a great local pub, about 5 minutes walk away, where they serve real ales and a good range of food. There is a corner shop (One Stop) about 5 minutes away, a Tesco Express about 8 minutes away and a large supermarket (Morrisons) about 15 - 20 minutes on foot. We are also within a 5 minute walk of three Chinese takeaways, an Indian takeaway, a chip shop & a Pizza Hut takeaway. We are also very close to Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings, the first iron framed building in the world. This has a Visitors Centre, which is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm from March to October. It's well worth a visit!
  • Good value for money. Easy going and free. Close enough to walk to town in ten to fifteen minutes. Private caravan is cool. If you are sensitive to traffic be aware it is on main road. Didn't bother me too much though.

    Neil2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly what it says on the tin. Cosy little space in the front garden. I was there during the worst storms and in years. So it was noisy at times which is completely to be expected but was always, warm dry and cosy. A pleasant week’s stay in a quirky vintage caravan. Richard explain everything in a v friendly manner and was always at hand even though I didn’t really need it! would definitely stay again if visiting Shrewsbury again!

    Craig2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great value and great hosts

    Jan2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Richard was a very welcoming and accommodating, even when I turned up later than I anticipated. The caravan is what it is, but is very clean and warm, toilet facilities are ok, I didn’t make use of the facilities in Richards home so can’t comment on these. But I would definitely use Richard’s place again.

  • Great place! Close to town ! :)

    Melna2019-12-11T00:00:00Z

  • We had stayed at Anita’s place a few months ago but never got to meet her as we were all very busy. We came again while visiting Shrewsbury and were so glad our paths crossed this time as we so enjoyed chatting to her and felt totally at ease in her home. Anita was friendly, accommodating and a very warm host. It felt like we were staying with family. The bedroom was clean and private, the house is in a great location to be able to walk into town. We would definitely stay with Anita again if we come back to Shrewsbury.

  • Gillian's home is a comfortable and well equipped base to visit Shrewsbury's historic centre, shops and river. Gillian provided an excellent choice of breakfast items and the small kitchenette was well equipped. We had a very comfortable stay, thank you Gillian.

    Karen2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Completely unforeseeable circumstances (flooding) prevented us from being able to stay here but Gillian was great at keeping us informed throughout. We hope she and her house are OK in spite of the floods.

    Hannah2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Rivermeade is a home from home. Exceptionally clean with lovely crisp bed linen. Gillian is a lovely hostess. It is very central for the town. I would certainly recommend it as a place to stay in Shrewsbury.

    Lois2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The host was very nice and the location of the house was good, right next to the River Severn. Shrewsbury is beautiful, small and friendly. It is also a culturally important town in England, a tourist attraction that locals will go to, so you can see signs in different places in the town. The landlord taught me to go to the visitor center to ask about the history of the town and it helped me a lot. The landlord rented us the second floor and we lived comfortably. By the way, there are two cats, one of them called Fredi, very friendly and curious.

Even though she was away from home she was very active, so that's very nice and professional of her. I admit that the location is a bit far from town center (about 20-30 minutes by walk) but I did not really mind it as I love walking. So, thank you Steph :)

The Sweet Shop in Shrewsbury is an architect designed one- bedroomed house. It is a delightful space to enjoy time away and its location close to the town centre provides a great base to explore Shrewsbury on foot. The house has been designed to passive house principles and is therefore comfortable and warm. It has all amenities necessary for a stay away from home.
The Sweet Shop is a very contemporary space which has been beautifully designed to include everything for modern living with no waste of space but yet has a light and airy feel to the place. The house is always warm and dry due the the PassiveHaus principle which maintains a continuous comfortable temperature. the windows are all triple glazed so noise from the outside is at a minimum. it is situated within walking distance from Shrewsbury which is a vibrant, interesting and attractive county town - with abundant culture, restaurants and pubs. There are lovely walks along the river Severn through the quarry (riverside park) and only 20 minutes to the fantastic Shropshire Hills where you can walk forever into Wales if you so wish!
The neighbourhood is friendly, there is a pub just a few doors up the road, and a short walk down to a local centre- Longden Coleham where there are coffee shops. House is a great coffee venue and they have also just opened a grocery store called The Allotment - for any basics plus fruit and veg you might need. From there it is about another 10minues walk into the main town - over Greyfriars foot bridge and up Wyle Cop. All very do-able. I have left info on good places to eat etc in the property information. Shrewsbury has great river walks along the Severn plus access to fantastic countryside around the Shropshire Hills.
  • Unique place, the house is very specially desinged to be energy efficent. We really loved it 😊

  • This was my first air bnb stay and I was a bit nervous, however, there aren’t enough kind words! The welcome was warm, Phil and Jackie were both lovely, made me feel welcome and comfortable! The room was warm, stylish and comfortable. The bed was like a toasty marshmallow. It was spotless. I really couldn’t fault anything. Breakfast and teas/coffees were available too. And the most beautiful dogs! I wouldn’t think twice about staying there again.

The town is steeped in history; the castle, black-and-white buildings, cobbled streets and hidden passageways. That's not to mention figures such as Darwin, Clive of India, Mary Webb and Wilfred Owen who all, at some point, called the town home. But Shrewsbury is also modern and boasts a thriving social scene and nightlife. The Alb is directly opposite our house, it's a Fab little pub and cocktail bar with a daily happy hour, inspiring menu and perfect service. They also serve an excellent inc breakfast for a tenner. An excellent breakfast for a fiver is served at traditional but basic Churchills cafe in the Beaconsfield Club also directly opposite our front door ! If you prefer a lazy breakfast at home, a bespoke Breakfast Basket from Pomona is available 2 mins away - freshly made sourdough can be ordered the day before and delivered fresh from 7. 30 am to be devoured on our sun deck by the river. The Market Hall is also fabulous for breakfast or lunch from 8am as is the doggy friendly Loopy Shrew or The Boat House, both 5 minutes from us and bordering the beautiful Quarry Park- a picturesque outdoor area perfect for relaxing or meeting with so perfect for a riverside walk.
  • We had a wonderful time at this lovely house. Felt very much at home.

  • This is indeed a rather special place to stay, the house is absolutely gorgeous - really stylish, well equipped and very clean. The location is great with lovely views over the river but so close to the town and all it’s cafes, restaurants, shops etc. Don’t miss the indoor market - brilliant!

  • Property is in a very strategic and central location for exploring Shrewsbury, but travelling with children meant we had a lot of equipments so the lack of parking space at the property made it a little tricky as had to walk a few rounds back and forth from carpark to load and unload. Having said that, carpark is in a convenient location and only 5 minutes away. We enjoyed a very chilled out stay at the property. The ease of walking across the street for breakfast and being able to pop back to the house for the little ones to nap. The place was immaculate and had lovely touches with pretty Christmas decor, toiletry pouches, quality towels. Louise has also been extremely helpful in answering my queries.

  • Fantastic for a grown up weekend away with friends - great location and beautifully decorated, lovely touches, comfortable beds, very well equipped and great view over the river. Bedrooms at front a little noisy but you are staying in a busy town.

  • Lovely house, very clean and has everything you need. Very good location as a short walk into town that even my 4 year old could manage without complaint. Expect we will book again, as want to come back to Shrewsbury again soon. Would take towels next time, as the towels provided are very small, but that’s just a personal preference. Overall lovely stay, good size house (we were 3 adults and 2 children) great communication leading up to our stay, and personal note on arrival. Thank you!!

**Just amending my listing- my property is rural, no contact with myself. Everything cleaned down throughly after each guest has used the room. ** On the outskirts of Shrewsbury. Beautiful converted cottage, old coach house and barn, in small hamlet, 2 minutes from the A5 Local pub within 1 mile, 2 minute drive. Step straight onto court yard off the bedroom. Shrewsbury 10 minutes drive/ Oswestry 15 minutes.
Private secure parking, located just before the property on the right hand side if approached from Nesscliffe direction. Turn into the gravel driveway and park through opened gate. If you wish to park by the property to unload/load luggage, this is absolutely fine. Please do not park behind the house in the driveway immediately to the right of the house. This is not my driveway! ***Please Please read the directions I send and do not follow the sat nav, it will take you totally out of your way!!!!*****
Nestled beneath Nesscliffe Hill, a popular beauty spot for dog walkers or walkers in general.
  • A clean, .tidy and comfortable option.

  • Sam’s place is a lovely, comfortable, clean and stylish double room with private entrance, private bathroom and private parking in the idyllic location of a small village close to beautiful Shrewsbury. It’s ideal for anybody visiting friends or family or holidaying in the area who don’t need a kitchen/living space but would like the privacy of their own entrance. The place was wonderful for our short two-night stay over New Year’s Eve. We drove to North Wales for hiking and visited friends for NYE in Shrewsbury. The location was perfect. We appreciated the Christmas decorations, generous tea & coffee supplies, cosy central heating, comfortable bed and quiet, private setting via the back courtyard of Sam’s cottage. Sam’s directions and communications were also clear, accurate and timely! Highly recommended.

Lovely Victorian terraced house with 3 double bedrooms. This house is in a fantastic location just 5 minutes walk from the iconic and bustling Shrewsbury Town Centre. The property has the benefit of two off-road parking spaces in an untarmacked parking lot behind the property.
The house is set on the delightfully named Primrose Terrace and comprises of a deceptively spacious layout with the ground floor consisting of a down stairs sitting room (with a large 3 seater sofa and large comfy armchair and fully setup Smart TV for relaxing after a long days shopping or exploring the sights of Shrewsbury), a fully fitted kitchen which also includes a table and with 4 chairs for dining, a down stairs toilet/utility space which includes a washing machine that can be used at your convenience. The kitchen has an old style stable door which leads out to the small neatly kept garden, from there the garden leads to an untarmacked parking lot which is shared by the terrace, the property has two spaces available, there is also on street parking available directly opposite the property. The 1st floor is made up of a large bathroom with a very generously sized bath tub with taps in the middle (perfect for sharing!) and separate shower and feature fireplace, also on this floor are 2 double bedrooms both with feature fireplaces and built in wardrobe spaces. Last but not least the converted loft space is home to the consist of the third and largest bedroom.
Although technically just outside of the town centre the house is located a quick 5 minute walk away for all that Shrewsbury has to offer. From the bustling shopping arcades and the lively market hall, to the vast choice of pubs and restaurants the town has to offer.
  • Great location. A few minutes from the town centre but parking outside was really appreciated. Flexible host. Everything you need for a few days. We made the right choice in booking this place

A beautiful Victorian period style apartment located on the third floor of a Victorian town house. It is a 5 minute walk from Shrewsbury's medieval town centre, which boasts Britain's favourite Market Hall, providing excellent street food and local produce. There are many independent shops, restaurants, bars and coffee shops to explore. The train station is a 5 minute walk away.
Situated on the third floor of a beautiful period Victorian townhouse. There is a sitting room consisting of a Chesterfield sofa, a small dining room table and log burner, for which logs are provided. In this area there is a Kitchenette facility with an electric cooker, tea and coffee facility and fresh milk. The Kitchenette is well equipped with a wide range of utensils. There is a spacious large bedroom full of character with an original fireplace. A comfortable king-size bed and lovely garden views. There is also a single bedroom with a bureau if needed, across from the bedroom is a private bathroom, consisting of a large bath, shower and sink. There is no reserved parking for the property it is on street parking only, my house is in a perfect location, which can make Albert Street very busy at times, due to being so close to the Town Centre, you will always find a space but not always on Albert Street, however if required we have a private garage (which can fit a small family car) which you are more than welcome to use, if you require use of the garage please contact me for more details. There is also a pay and display car park which is located on Howard Street which is next to the Buttermarket.
A peaceful and safe neighbourhood, although we are near the centre of town it is very quiet! The area is full of character.

A one bedroom ground floor apartment which comprises a "granny flat" of a large house. The apartment includes a separate front door, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room. THE KITCHEN DOES NOT HAVE A COOKER but there is a microwave and toaster. There is tea, coffee and sugar available for guests.
There is parking available outside the apartment. The garden is shared with the owner. The owner's dog has access to the garden. (He is a big softie cockapoo who loves to chase a ball.) The rooms in the apartment are all good sizes. The kitchen, however, is small. There is no cooker but there is a microwave grill. There is also a fridge, large freezer, toaster, kettle, washing machine and drier. There is a fold away table and chairs.
The area is a quiet residential part of Shrewsbury. It is about a 30 minute walk into the centre of Shrewsbury. There is a bus route nearby.
