We have long since wished there were easy ways to escape our busy city lives and retreat into a magical, beautiful and peaceful space that feels like another world. This idea eventually evolved into a mission to build with our own hands Melbourne's very own magical sanctuaries, and to share it with the rest of the world. We love imagining what we could create, to build, and to share them with the world through hosting. We constantly think about how to make our creations bring even greater sense of joy and wonder, and not about how much it'll cost us. We're genuinely excited and happy to host each new guest, to hear about what they love about our creations, and what we could do to make it even better. We have built and opened our first instalment of Melbourne's hidden sanctuary, which we lovingly refer to as "Heaven & Earth". We have plans to make it even better, as well as other ideas for other worlds we want to try building for our next instalments. The space is clean and practical, with phone chargers, storage, and lots of coat hangers. It is particularly suitable for music lovers, with a guitar and a record player for guests to enjoy.

Easy to find, great location, easy access, clean, lots of little extra’s such as; cell phone charging cords, universal plugs, lots of towels, face clothes, things that you may need, but forgot to pack. Some may find the street noise abit loud for sleeping at times, I did not, but, she even has ear plugs there for you. I would highly recommend 👍

    This beautiful studio apartment has been recently renovated and is ideally located in Fitzroy within walking distance to Melbourne CBD. It is ideal for a single person or a couple. The apartment is on the first floor of a small block of units (18 in total) surrounded by greenery. Our studio apartment (approximately 32m2) is tastefully decorated and has a large window overlooking Napier Street which gets lovely morning light.
    Fitzroy is one of the most exciting and vibrant neighbourhoods in Melbourne. Our apartment is located just off Gertrude Street, between Brunswick Street and Smith Street, all which offer some of the most interesting cafes, restaurants, bars, galleries and shops in town.
  • Such a lovely, well designed space. Had a great stay here and it’s in the perfect spout in the inner north. The hosts were super receptive with fast responses when I had questions. Definitely would stay again.

  • Really delightful and charming! The place is small, but there are all sorts of space saving storage places. We had a ton of luggage and were fine. The neighborhood is very charming, great location. Really clean building as well. We loved staying here, only issue was the slow WiFi. Oh well, nobodies perfect.

  • We had a great stay at Kate and Has’s apartment. The location is perfect for discovering Fitzroy and a stones throw from the tram for exploring further. The space is ideal for 2, we didn’t use the kitchen area as there are too many good food options right on the door step! The communication with the agents was really easy when needing to leave our bags at the office in the city and they were also able to get us checked in earlier than scheduled.     This beautifully designed apartment covers the 2nd Floor a unique, open plan and light-filled space. The guest bedroom has a comfortable Queen bed fitted with fine quality linen. We provide Breakfast with a selection of Cereal, Yogurt & Artisan bread. The Guest lounge has big comfy sofas. Flinders Lane has Galleries, Boutiques, fabulous Restaurants & Bars; a safe and exciting neighbourhood. Perfect location to stay for Travellers & there are also facilities for Board meetings & Presentations.
    We live in a spacious and light-filled warehouse, furnished with French provincial furniture and Contemporary Art. The building was a Fashion House, converted to Apartments in the '90s; it has very high ceilings with Architectural details defining the space, the bathrooms have an industrial edge with stainless steel fit out. We have comfy sofas for when you need to relax with a coffee or a glass of wine after a busy day of work or sightseeing.
    The area of Flinders Lane has a history of Fashion and Art for over a century; the area has changed over the last 2 decades, tho' it has always remained edgy, Boutiques, Galleries and now fabulous foodie Restaurants, there are also several Live music venues and Bars tucked away in Laneways throughout the city.

  • I wrote an extensive review about my last stay here back in May 2019 so feel free to check that out. This time around I stayed from 5th to 9th February 2020. As with my last visit, it’s a wonderful experience staying with Bronwyn, Michael and their furry child Chai. So great to meet Michael in person this time too! Their super spacious warehouse apartment has everything you could ask for, plus the very central location in the city makes getting to the major local sights and CBD shopping / eating districts a breeze. I also really appreciated the complimentary continental breakfast that was so thoughtfully laid out the night before. This gave me a good energy boost at the start of the day as this time I ventured a bit further out and caught more trams - note that Melbourne is quite flat and very easy to get around on foot, which I mostly did during my last visit. Thank you for your warm and gracious hospitality as always.

  • I spent five wonderful days here. The location of the apartment is really amazing, in the heart of the city center. From here, it is very convenient to go anywhere. The house is the same as the pictures look like an art gallery, full of art atmosphere. Living here, has the private room and the bathroom, also can use Brown's kitchen, open kitchen, the tableware is very complete. Brown & Michael, They are very enthusiastic and made me feel very warm. They also gave me some very convenient and useful tour advice. There are extra services, a hearty breakfast, a bottle of wine, a transit card, washer, and dryer, and can store luggage for a while. They are really considerate for the guests. If you want a deep experience of Melbourne's life, come here ! Brown loves food,if she has time, you can cook with her. I'll come again next time. We travelled with a 4 month old and found the lift to work well for taking the pram in and out of the vicinity.     This studio apartment is located in St Kilda, with easy access to Melbourne's CBD, St Kilda Beach, Chapel Street, Acland and Fitzroy Street, Albert Park lake (home of the Australian Grand Prix). St Kilda junction is 300metres away providing access to Melbourne's famous trams and Windsor Station is also less than a km away allowing access Melbourne's train network. The Astor Theatre and Luna Park are all in close vicinity of this apartment. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
    For a price better than that of a private room you get a great studio apartment in a fantastic area of St Kilda, close to public transport (both bus and train) for easy access to Melbourne's CBD, the Melbourne Grand Prix, The Australian Open Tennis, the MCG, St Kilda Beach, to name just a few. Free parking maybe available based on availability.

  • Mark’s place was great! I would definitely stay here again. You can’t beat the value. The space is perfect for one person and has everything one could need – including an in-unit washer/dryer which made freshening up one’s clothes all the easier. The apartment itself was very clean and smelled nice. The area is very cute and residential. Mark was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. One thing I think it’s good to be aware of: the trams don’t always run frequently at night, so it can feel like it’s a bit out of the way. Overall I felt like the area was safe so it wasn’t much of an issue (and the trams run much more often during the day, so the time to Melbourne goes quickly). Overall, I highly recommend Mark’s place!

  • Booked this spacious penthouse for a mini weekend getaway for me and my partner. While the photos are stunning, the place is even better in person. You will immediately feel at home in this light-filled roomy apartment. Carlos was very accommodating, making check-in easy and was quick with replies. The cleanliness was top notch including the private juccuzzi. Another notable plus was the entertainment system that is sure to keep you amused with a range of streaming and music options. The apartment is centrally located in St Kilda with a range of amazing food and entertainment options however if you prefer to dine in, the kitchen is also equipped with everything you need to whip up a nice meal at home with a supermarket conveniently located nearby. This was my second stay at Carlos and Rose’s amazing Airbnb and it certainly won’t be my last. I highly recommend staying here.

    Such an amazing location, you will be blown away by everything that St Kilda has to offer and here you will be right in the thick of it, however inside the apartment you will feel the privacy and serenity of being in a treehouse. You will have the whole space to yourself however your hosts are in full contact anytime
    When in St Kilda, there's no where else to stay but on trendy Acland St. Opposite the beautiful Circa, iL Fornaio and the infamous Prince of Wales, there's no better place to stay than this funky little studio. Full of light with a beautiful leafy tree outlook, you have a feeling of living in a tree house. This funky little studio consists of white walls and concrete grey floors with one wall dedicated to just windows. It's a quirky, stylish studio, with a Queen size bed, an ever so comfy three seater sofa and stunning designer Armadillo rug. It has a built in wardrobe with a built in bookcase where books and DVDs are stored for you to flick through and enjoy. The stylish kitchenette is fully equipped and includes double electric hot plates, microwave with beautiful dishes, glassware and all the kitchen utensils you will need. There is also a gateway dining table where you can sit and enjoy a meal or choose to use it as a desk. The separate bathroom has a glass shower and basin and is tiled all in white. Wifi with a 32" flat screen TV, DVD player and radio. It also includes an iron and ironing board. Beautiful luxurious linen and towels can be provided with luxury duvet & deluxe pillows. The apartment is on the first floor, with some stairs and intercom system. Secure gated parking space is also included. The area is also extremely well served for public transport in all directions, be it city, airport (airport bus drops you off right on the corner), Chapel St etc. Laundry - there's a laundry room on the same floor with coin operated laundry machines. There's also pegs for you to hand out your laundry at the brand new clothesline. Overall, this is a place to come home to and relax whilst enjoying the comfort and space of this little funky studio.   • I stayed a couple of nights in the apartment and enjoyed the proximity to the beach and Albert park a lot! The walls are indeed quite thin so you could hear the neighbors passing in the hall but other than that it was a really enjoyable apartment offering all you need for a short-term adventure in St.Kilda!

  • This is one of the best Air BnBs we’ve stayed in. It’s not huge but it’s so well designed and stylishly kitted out it feels really light, airy and spacious. Very nice space to be in. The bed is very comfortable and you get a choice of 2 very different pillows to suit you, which is a very nice touch. It was really quiet despite being so in the heart of St Kilda and we both slept extremely well. We didn’t do any cooking as there are lots of restaurants, cafes and bars really close by but the kitchen is well equipped should you wish to cook. The location is excellent. As well as all the restaurants and cafes around, there is a supermarket just around the corner and a wonderful farmers market a stone’s throw away, which is on the first Saturday of every month. We timed it well! The beach is also really close by. The unit was spotlessly clean and my standards are high! The balcony is an added bonus. Excellent comms from the host - thank you for a lovely stay.

    Prepare to play in St Kilda, where you can kick up your heels by the seashore, along with live music or on the whirligigs at Luna Park. Melbourne's favourite beachside suburb Join locals who walk, cycle and skate under the palms on the foreshore or sail, windsurf or kitesurf on the bay.   • Location: You just can't miss this location, it's in a prime location, where everything is close by. Be it cafes, shops, tram stops or metro station. Place: it's on the first floor, and you'll have your privacy, and there's a heater in the room to take care of winter worries. The place is very clean. The only downside is kitchen is downstairs, but hey, the host is awesome. Host: He communicates well with you, very flexible in checking in or out, helps you out with recommending places or just about absolutely anything, Justin is an interesting person.     Our apartment in St Kilda is a fabulous space to rejuvenate, unwind and relax after exploring Melbourne's many attractions. It's perfect for singles, business travellers, couples or small families. There is no charge for extra guests after two guests. The maximum number of guests that can be accommodated comfortably is four guests and cannot exceed this number. Our apartment is also a fantastic and practical "feel at home" base for long term guests. There is absolutely everything and anything you could possibly need to live as a local and to truly embrace the St Kilda and Melbournian lifestyle! ( See our discounts offered for long term guests) The apartment building is modern and very well maintained, it consists of approximately 30 units and is spread over three floors. The apartment block itself is not a high rise building and is situated amongst gorgeous heritage listed buildings. It has a fantastic security system with CCTV and after hours lighting for your safety. We are located on the second floor, and towards the rear of the building. You can relax over car parking! There is a secure, under cover, gated car park located in the basement which has a lift straight from the car park to the floor of the apartment. The location is fabulously close to St Kilda's many attractions.... and all within walking distance from the apartment. It also has a supermarket 50 metres away, a tram stop to the CBD at the front door and the St Kilda Sky Bus stop just 60 metres away! Our apartment is all about feeling like a home away from home. It boasts a full size kitchen with DW, microwave, 2 door fridge, rice cooker, saucepans, electric frying pan, absolutely everything you need to whip up a tasty meal if you decide to have a night in. A front load washer and condenser dryer are discreetly tucked away in the kitchen for your convenience. Our waterfall shower is fantastic. The water is very hot and the pressure very strong! " Salon " quality Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are all supplied, as well as Egyptian cotton bath sheets and towels. In the bedroom there is a queen size bed which has a mattress topper and king size doona. Our living room is very spacious and is wonderfully light filled. There is a sofa bed that folds down to a double bed for extra guests after two, and there is also a three seater sofa and a gorgeous relaxing arm chair. The Apartment has a Smart TV for your enjoyment as well as fast unlimited WiFi. From the living room, guests can enjoy their own private tree lined balcony. A space to soak up the sunshine, enjoy a glass of wine, discuss the adventures of the day, and experience the aromas of neighbouring restaurants all of which are very hard to ignore! We were both really tired after a couple of months travelling and our stay in Deb’s flat allowed us somewhere to rest when we needed to in comfort.     Note that I make my own cheese, mayonnaise, beer, bread, vinegar, sorbet, and I herbally infuse cooking oils. Because it is fun to do! But it does make the house smell like homemade food, not kraft cheesy mac.

It’s a ten minute walk to the beachfront, the iconic lunar park and palais theatre , and the fabulous acland street cake shops and cafes . The other big bonus is that there is always a tram to hop on to bring you into the heart of it all in the centre of Melbourne ( Federation square / Flinders street ) which takes about 15 minutes !! And of course Albert park is at your doorstep too with the gorgeous lake and golf course

    My apartment is set in a beautiful, period era St Kilda street that is peacefully quiet at night. It is conveniently located away from the noisy St Kilda nightlife. However, close enough to walk there. A vibrant area known for its shopping, famous cake shops, boutique bars and restaurants. ST KILDA Description provided by Travel Australia St Kilda is an inner southern suburb of Melbourne, located on a sandy stretch of Port Phillip between Albert Park and Elwood. Originally a seaside resort in Melbourne's early years due to its close proximity to the city centre, St Kilda has developed into a trendy and cosmopolitan suburb St Kilda is famous for its food, entertainment and nightlife.   • Jonathan’s place is perfect for an individual or couple looking to stay in St Kilda. Transport links into Melbourne city centre, and other areas, are excellent with multiple tram stops within walking distance. If you don’t want to venture into the city, there are lots of bars and restaurants close by, and St Kilda beach is only a short walk away. There are also plenty of supermarkets nearby, which is helpful. The apartment itself has everything required for any length of stay, and Jonathan is very quick to respond should you have any issues. The area directly outside is quiet and safe, and includes the lovely Botanical Gardens. The only problem we had with the apartment was there were builders working above us for the last few days, and on a couple of occasions they had to enter our apartment to get out onto the patio area. Of course this is out of Jonathan’s control, but a warning in advance would have been good if these works were pre-planned. However, overall the stay was enjoyable and I would recommend Jonathan’s place to anyone wanting to stay in St Kilda.

The numbers 67 and 3 tram go directly into the centre of Melbourne, the bus stop you need is number 35 which is a 10 minute walk from the property. Having your own garden to sit in after a busy day sightseeing in Melbourne is a real bonus, an oasis of calm. We would definitely stay again.

  • Cristina was an outstanding host that went out of her way to make you feel welcome!!! She personally showed me around St. Kilda, showed us where to buy groceries, local hang outs, beautiful walks and took us personally to see penguins at St Kildas pier. We had a wonderful time staying at her home!!!
