There is a microwave, electric hob, toaster and kettle in the kitchen area. Dining table and chairs. Wall mounted TV and WiFi. There are several quiet beaches with wonderful coastlines to explore within walking distance. There is also the stunning St Medan Golf Course that welcomes visitors all year round.

Seaside home-from-home, tucked away at the back of the village, 7 minutes walk from the sea. (Longer on the way back uphill!) Portpatrick has a Post Office, bakery, cafe, bars, gift shops and restaurants. (Limited food shopping.) Hide away, walk the cliffs and glen, swim, golf, putt, fish, cycle. Enjoy dark skies and fresh air. Explore Wigtown (book town), Kirkcudbright (artists’ town), Castle Douglas (food town), Glenluce Abbey, St Ninian's Cave, Whithorn. Stranraer Sept Oyster Festival.

The wild shore and vegetation provide a great habitat for birds, mammals, insects and spiders typical of the Irish coast. Wading birds can be seen feeding along the undisturbed shore. Bird Island Bothy has the feel of a sailing ship's cabin with chunky wooden beams, mock four-poster bed and plush velvet curtains. A great base from which to explore the Ards Peninsula.

A luxury holiday cottage consisting of a wing of Kildrochet House, an early 18th Century Grade B listed building. Set within 5 acres of it's own land and situated in the beautiful countryside of Wigtownshire, South West Scotland. We started this listing in 2013 but only put the bare essentials in. Only today, April 4 2018 have we actually finished it. This is why we have had no guests or reviews from Airbnb so far! You can find 5-star reviews for us on Trip Advisor.

The cottage is located a stones throw from the beach, with stunning views looking over Strangford Lough and the Mourne Mountains. Only 5 minutes walk is the village of Kircubbin, where there are pubs, restaurants and a supermarket. With the water so close, wake up to the sounds, views & smell of the sea.

The Dark Sky Dome
Stay in the largest Geodesic Dome in Scotland situated in the heart of the Carrick Forest within the Galloway Forest Dark Sky Park. It is an ideal getaway for those wanting to experience the wilds of South West Scotland whilst having the full comforts of home. Whether you are a couple looking for a weekend break, an author or artist looking to stay somewhere to find creativity or a family of 4 wanting to spend quality time together then the Dome is for you.

The property is situated within the picturesque village of Portpatrick. There are 2 large bedrooms, upstairs bathroom with separate shower, and downstairs WC. The lounge has TV, Wi Fi & woodburner. There is an enclosed decked garden to the rear. The kitchen has separate fridge & freezer, dish washer & washing machine. There is a large driveway to the side. Portpatrick is situated approximately 6 miles from the main town of Stranraer.
