  • My wife and I enjoyed our stay! Location was great, just a few minutes out from Point Reyes Station. We could see some deer and hear coyotes at night. It was a nice way to get away and feel closer to nature, all with the interesting experience of being in a circular home.

  • Comfortable, welcoming home in one of the most gorgeous places around. Jim and Anne responsive and friendly hosts. Outdoor space (gardens and private tennis court) make this a rare and special find.

    Diane2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Jim’s house is an amazing oasis in Point Reyes, perfect for a family or two couples. We enjoyed hanging in the open living and dining room, next to the fireplace, and with tons of natural light. The outdoor space is a kid (and adult wonderland) with a great deck, a nice bbq area, a bocce court, tennis court, basketball hoop, and plenty of room to run around. Home is nicely located in quiet residential street only a 10min walk to the main drag in Pt Reyes. Beds were great too! Great value for the price. Would definitely stay again. Ps: we enjoyed meeting Jim, who greeted us on arrival, and took the time to play tennis with our daughter. Great host!

    Will2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place - beautiful views and many seating areas from which to enjoy the hills and fields. The house is super comfortable with everything one could possible want. Jim and Ann have thought of everything. I'd go back in a minute!

    Karen2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a perfect spot for a quick weekend getaway from Bay Area for a couple/small family. The house is minutes away from all the restaurants and stores in town. The town itself is centrally located to many hikes and beaches. Jim's place is stunning. The backyard is just a dream to wake up to. We loved it and we would love to come back!

    Ravi2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We were two adult couples and enjoyed the Tennis House immensely. We felt welcomed and comfortable- the kitchen was well appointed and we were able to fix all our meals without lacking a thing. The gardens and grounds are lovingly taken care of - the tennis and bocce courts were a fun bonus. Luckily we had beautiful weather for hiking, exploring and relaxing, but the fireplace and coziness would have made it made it equally enjoyable had it been stormy. We were lacking for nothing and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Pt Reyes is one of my favorite places in the world and this is the perfect setting and location to enjoy it. The Tennis House is at the top of my list for future visits!

    Diana2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the Tennis House. Our friends loved the Tennis House! Both the inside space and the outside space were perfect for our birthday gathering. The kitchen was outfitted with everything we could wish for, from an oyster knife to a salad spinner, and the grill was a great extension of the kitchen space. How lovely to wake up in the mornings to sunshine on the ridge and a garden filled with fun things to do. We hope to visit again soon!

This 1970's reclaimed wooden house is a small part of history. Built with timbers from Fort Mason and an old buoy used as the main fireplace. We rent three bedrooms. Each has it's own full bathroom and queen bed. The house is three stories. Guests have full use of the kitchen living and common areas.
Fireplace is made from an old buoy found under the Golden Gate Bridge Due to the fire season in Marin, Sonoma, and Napa. For the safety of our guests and our house. There are no fires allowed in any of the house fire places. At anytime during the year. We have central heating, and fires are only allowed when it’s an allowable burn day designated by Marin county. We’re sorry to have to enforce this rule. We have three cats and one golden doodle dog. The cats and dog are not allowed in the guest rooms.
The area we live is spectacular and full of activities.
  • We had an amazing stay, the house has an amazing touch and the fire in the fireplace will remain a great memory.

    Mathieu2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was a delightful place to stay while I visited the areas. The location is great....centrally located for sightseeing both North and South of Pt Reyes Station. Elizabeth and Gabriel were very welcoming, helpful and very hospitable.

    Kathryn2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly appreciated the clean, quiet and comfortable bedroom in this cozy home. The Tomales Bay Area has poor cellular reception, but is one of our favorites for hiking and cruising the country road. The small town of Point Reyes Station is a quaint and timeless gem. A stay at this home, a short distance from town, is a perfect combination for a memorable weekend.

    Raquel2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Gabriel’s. We only had a short stay, but the communication was great and so were the hosts. Our room was clean and fit our needs perfectly. We made friends with their very fluffy cat as well. Great location, interesting house.

    Alasdair2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • I especially I especially enjoyed the cats. Very amusing!

    Daniel2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is how California should feel, it’s informal, voluptuous, sunshine on your face, good people, all-natural, sweet air, tall trees. Enjoy and be at peace.

    Caroline2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Gabriel and Elizabeth’s place is quiet, clean, spacious and calming. It is a couple minutes drive to lovely restaurants and shops of the area. We appreciated the thoughtful decorations and the whole place made us feel at ease. Elizabeth was very nice, easy to talk to and very friendly when she welcomed us. I would definitely come again!

It's beautiful and quiet, with lots of friendly farm animals nearby (not too close!). The one-mile walk to town is peaceful and scenic.
  • Neat and tidy little cottage. Very quiet during our stay. A pleasant 20 minute walk along the backroads will get you to the village, where there are several good places to eat (at least when they're not closed due to corona virus). Best of all, of course, it's close to all the wonderful Point Reyes attractions.

    Frank2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful location, very private with lots of nature sounds (birds, frogs, wind in the trees), especially at night. Beautiful walk to Pt. Reyes Station. Great place to go to get away.

    Kirstin2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Jeri’s cottage was great for our stay in Pt Reyes. It was cute, clean and comfy. Jeri gave us detailed directions to get there and instructions for use of the cottage.

  • Great little cottage with everything you need. Right near town, with a small kitchen, dining table, large bed, nice lounge chair for reading, and a patio area. We were able to bring our small dog as well which ended up working out great! Jeri was very nice as well and we’d stay again. Thank you!

    Sinead2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jeri’s place is warm and welcoming. Very comfortable with everything I needed. Well designed and thoughtful touches. Great place. Wonderful host!

    Miriam2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Was a perfect get away for my dog and I. Next time I may rent the whole place! I definitely recommend if you want a very quiet, clean, beautiful place and so close to beaches. I discover Kehoe Beach. Thanks.

    Brian2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • My mom and I spent Christmas here and it was a very relaxing trip. We brought the dog and it was nice to have some outdoor space for him. There is a small fenced in patio so you can let the dog outside without having to leash up every time which is nice. It's also a very nice neighborhood to walk in. Thanks, Jeri!

The Creekside Cottage in Point Reyes Station is a simple, modern craftsman with beautiful light all around. New construction, completed in 2017, it features serene quiet at night, bird viewing, and relaxing. Walk into town or head for the beaches from here. (It is not in Bolinas, online maps services are still confused about this fact)
Deer and bird watching are our favorite pastime here, enjoy quiet time on the deck.
The walk into town is one mile. Point Reyes Station is worth it year around. Visit the print shop or the saddlery.
  • The cottage is absolutely great! The perfect size for a couple. We had everything we needed for making our meals in the kitchen. My wife is a sucker for a great bathroom and just loved the heated floor and towel rack. The location is secluded enough to feel like you are getting away, but a medium walk to town.

    James2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second extended stay in Hilmar's cottage. We had a very restful and rejuvenating time. We walked to town to the exceptional bakeries and the unmatched independent bookstore. We hiked along Tomales Bay and then drove to Chimney Rock and to Limantour for fabulous birding. The cottage is charming, homey, and comfortable. We've already booked our next extended stay.

    Pat2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • This gem of a place is cozy, warm, stylish and convenient. We enjoyed the Great Horned Owl chorus every evening, too! I won at darts, by the way, and we enjoyed a meal at the large dining table while being warmed by the wood stove. So close to town for access to the Bovine Bakery, the bookstore, and Stellina, the best restaurant north of the Golden Gate featuring local produce, cheese, breads and meats. Can’t go wrong!

    Alan2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful cottage in an extremely gorgeous part of the country. Hilmar was extremely thoughtful and helpful and everything at his place exceeded our expectations. If you want a home away from home in a beautiful part of California, this is your spot!

    Tina2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Hilmar is very gracious and generous. His Airbnb is very comfortable, quiet and private. It's a great place for birding, for nature pursuits and close enough to Point Reyes Station for walking and enjoying the natural surroundings and town.

    Pat2019-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended. First about the cottage. Great location in the heart of one of my favorite spots in California: Point Reyes. Second about the host. Hilmar is communicative, friendly, and flexible. If you're looking to stay in the area: Hilmar and the cottage are highly recommended.

    Steijn2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was an exceptionally clean, lovely place for a quiet retreat over a long weekend. We used the cottage as a base to explore Point Reyes National Seashore (hike where you can see the elk!) and Point Reyes Station, which is a quirky and fun little small town with interesting shops and restaurants. We also enjoyed hanging out at the cottage, drinking local wine and eating local cheese. It is in a quiet neighborhood overlooking a horse farm where the deer stroll by quite regularly.

    Renee2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful views, quiet, and comfortable. Don’t know about you, but that is all I need to make for a great stay. Hilmar was very accommodating and available for anything yet very private. Nice touches.

Sparkling New 1 BR Cottage - a hidden sanctuary close to village shops, beaches and outings. Private spa, luxury queen & twin daybed. Great room with huge kitchen island for conversing & cooking, sunset views, WIFI, Direct TV, Netflix.
The Sparkling New Cottage is freshly built and is nestled away in the back of a property located in one of the village's rural neighborhoods. Taking the raised pathway to the house, it feels like you have entered your own secret garden and are far away, yet you are less than a mile from downtown Point Reyes village and shops. Without getting back into your car, you can walk down the easy back trail right into town. Immaculate, well equipped kitchen with huge granite island that spans the great room for easy cooking, conversation, and Netflix. Blender, oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and French coffee press, wine and other glasses, all dishes, pots & pans. Fridge and sink provide filtered water. Fridge icemaker and water easily accessed on front panel. Secluded, brand new outdoor spa for quiet, nighttime star gazing. Beds for 2: a luxury pillow top queen in the bedroom and a day bed in the living room. The covered front porch is spectacular for sunset views over Inverness Ridge or morning coffee - rain or shine. The house is surrounded by grass and gardens with views all around. It sits near a former seasonal pond that is long gone, but still the ducks and birds fly around the yard as if they remember. The sunny location allows for enjoyment of the outdoors year-round. Taking a private hot tub under the black and starry night sky or watching the winter storms roll in are experiences that will ease your mind and enliven your senses. Having the comforts of WIFI, Direct TV, Netflix and phone will keep you connected while finding yourself in the beauty of a small village. The house is completely independent from the other dwelling on the property and is set apart with zen-like privacy screens. Guests have their own parking space. Smoking and pets are not allowed. House is located just 3.5 miles from the Point Reyes National Seashore visitor center where you can get information regarding the beaches, bay, lagoon, estero, forests, meadows, wild life, birds, creeks, rivers, trails. Lighthouse just 30 minute drive. Close to fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, hiking, wine tasting, photographing. Experience the wilderness beauty - rolling green hills and ocean cliffs with sunshine sparkling on the water and dramatic sunsets.
The house is located in a quiet, rural neighborhood in Point Reyes Station, across the street from a horse ranch that is only partially used. The house is located on a dead-end road so there is no traffic except for those of us who live here. One side of the road has houses on it like ours; the other side is pastures with grazing horses, along with the horse ranch and olive trees that slope down to the willows of Tomasini Creek. Guests are encouraged to walk downtown by taking the back path at the end of the road. On your way you will stop at your own private vista point and marvel at the view between where you are standing in our neighborhood and the Inverness Ridge, with Tomales Bay in between. The back path makes for a delightful walk into town - down the hill, along the creek and over the boarded walkway. Neighbors are friends because of the rugged lifestyle required to live in this area - not exactly 'off the grid', but similar - stacking wood and making fires for heat; gardening and growing our own food and eggs; playing and working outdoors; home made cooking vs fast food; sharing life's joys and burdens. Guests are also encouraged to walk the other direction and stop in for a tasting at the Heidrun Meadery, one of the region's unique businesses, where mead is made from fresh honey; or drive a mile north and stop at the Point Reyes winery for a tasting before you reach the ranch where the famous Point Reyes Bleu cheese is made. And right downtown is live theatre, music, and dance, and awesome food. The CowGirl Creamery is there, along with the Bovine Bakery, (famous for morning buns) and Brickmaiden Bread (famous for sourdough loaves made in outdoor ovens). And Toby's Feed Barn is the village centerpiece for everything from community gatherings, to art shows (stop in and see whose art is being displayed) to everything a barn stands for. If you love outdoor adventure, wilderness, local grown food, wine, olive oil, bread, pizza, it's only a walk away from your cottage.
  • We loved the cottage! It was much bigger than the pictures indicate. Enormous kitchen - enjoyed several meals at home. We were given very clear directions and instructions which were really helpful. Wifi worked great and gas heater was surprisingly effective at keeping us cozy. The garden is also gorgeous. We really enjoyed walking into town and driving to the beaches at the Point Reyes National Seashore.

    Sasha2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, very clean and comfortable. Quiet and serene and an easy walk to the shops and cafes of Point Reyes. Hospitable and communicative hosts. Recommended.

    Jen2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Cottage is spotlessly clean, and wonderfully quiet. The kitchen is astonishing enormous for a BnB! The gas fireplace keeps everything cozy. Minutes to the Main Street and super-handy to the National Seashore. We love Point Reyes and hope to stay with Nancy again soon!

    Bryce2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn’t ask for a better weekend or more peaceful setting! We enjoyed walking to Bovine Bakery and Toby’s Barn for breakfast pastries and hiking all over Pt Reyes. The hot tub was restorative. Great location!

    Teresa2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful spot to unwind. A lovely 5-minute walk from town, but peaceful and private. We soaked in the hot tub, watched the birds fly around, and curled up by the gas fire at night. We were only there for two nights, but were so relaxed that it felt like we were there for a week. Will definitely be back.

    Kat2020-02-04T00:00:00Z

    Matthew2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy's place was just as described, in fact even better. The landscape and private garden made us feel as if we were far from civilization, yet it was just down the block from Point Reyes Station, a cute little town filled with excellent restaurants, excellent bakeries and a fantastic book store! We would highly recommends this hidden gem in such a perfect location.

We loved our private bedroom & deck, comfy bed, great shower and delicious coffee each morning. A special treat to relax in the private hot tub after our fantastic 10 mile hike on NYE! We loved the location! Close enough to town to walk to dinner our first night, and right around the corner from a meadery, called Heidrun - our first time to one and we loved learning & tasting their delicious champagne’s! Such a memorable time for us in beautiful Point Reyes Station, we will definitely look to stay with Dino again on a future visit!

  • Fantastic little spot that is private and a close walk to Point Reyes station. The hot tub was clean and extra toasty! We had a great time and look forward to booking again.

  • Dino's place in Pt. Reyes Station is a wonderful spot for a weekend stay. So close to the little downtown area! The hot tub was such a treat. Everything was clean and tidy.

  • Dino's room was the perfect place for us to unwind and relax for a few days. Her response time was so quick, and she made sure we were comfortable during our stay. The location is less than a 5 minute drive from a ton of eateries (like Side Street Kitchen, Cowgirl Creamery), the market, a hardware store, and other cute stores (we loved Toby's!). But of course our favorite part was the hot tub, which was perfect after a long day of hiking. We would highly recommend Dino's place for anyone wanting to escape the city life.

  • This small cottage is a gem! Everything was ready to go and Marion had quick responses to my questions. The place had everything I needed for a private get away, and the amenities were exactly as described and advertised. The suggestions given for things to do worked out swimmingly! This was just what I needed and wanted for my solo retreat away from the craze of a busy life. I will definitely be back again to try the outdoor shower. This is my new go-to for visiting Point Reyes area! If you're looking for a small place for 1-2 people to get away and unplug for a while, this is definitely the place to go. The walk to town is not only short (~10 minutes), but also beautiful. Selfishly, I don't want to advertise this place as I intend to keep coming back and don't want it to be all booked up! Thanks again Marion and team!

  • We just spent two amazing days at this property. The pictures really don’t do it justice. There are really cool design features all over the place, and it is spotlessly clean. The location is perfect - just the right distance from town. Check-in and communication were a breeze. Can’t wait to go back :-)

  • Such an amazing Airbnb. Easily the best place we've ever stayed. Such a wonderful host and so thoughtful about everything we needed. It was a dream. We pray that they will let us come back and stay again. Thank you!!!

  • Best designed/styled Airbnb house I’ve stayed at. Expensive but if you can afford it it’s worth it. Clean and modern and convenient location. Great outdoor space as well.

    Nick2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • One of the nicest rental houses I’ve stayed in. The owner responded immediately to our questions, the house was furnished beautifully, and the mattresses were very comfy. Couldn’t have asked for more!

  • what a fabulous, modern farmhouse just one mile from town.

    Emily2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is a one of a kind place to stay in every sense of the phrase. You’ve never been in a house with so many thoughtful touches, and in such an incredible location. The host is so responsive and really embodies the word hospitality. We were also so glad to stay somewhere where impact on the environment via cleaning products, energy efficiency, etc. is considered so well without sacrificing a lovely place to stay. Don’t miss the hot tub or the bath tubs, and the kitchen was a well equipped place for us to make many meals. Thanks so much!

The cottage was very spacious yet cosy for me, my husband and our pup. We had everything we needed. Jeri even provided us with a lovely breakfast of bread, jam, fruit and yogurt. We look forward to our next stay at the Berry Patch Cottage.

The place had all the right amenities for us to be comfortable during the rainy weekend we spent in the area. The town was less than a 5min drive, so it was easy to shop around for us to cook at home. The area is peaceful and surrounded by nature, we even spotted some wildlife around the place! • This place is magic. You will be totally enchanted by the space -- and the outdoor shower. It rained every morning and the most delightful sight was waking up to the bright red pop of the geraniums just outside the window. There's so much privacy. It's such a special place I will be staying here again sooN!

    Anna2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The place was fabulous. We ended up staying a day longer. Exquisite gardens and the space itself was beautifully and thoughtfully designed/furnished. Private, bright, clean. Surrounded by nature.

  • Very comfortable and private guesthouse on the hills of Inverness. My wife and I really enjoyed exploring the area. The place is very cozy with lots of interesting art and outdoor decorations. The garden and koi pond create a very relaxing environment. Drinking tea or coffee on the patio in the morning and listening to the birds is the best part!

  • We spent 4 nights at this wonderful Airbnb and could have stayed longer. It was beyond comfortable, cozy, and zen. The setting is nourishment for the soul and we left, feeling relaxed & rejuvenated. We loved the space, the environment, and the yoga/meditation studio. We will be back!

    Karen2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is one of those rare AirBNBs that makes you want to move and figure out how to live there. My girlfriend and I had just the getaway we needed. Inverness is so welcoming and relaxing and this place was perfect for resting and enjoying. The garden is sooooo relaxing and the bath with the open door (when I wanted) was perfect. The owner is an interior designer and it shows. I'd recommend this to anyone. This is one of those places that feels just like home, but the best part is there the area you stay isn't someone else's home, it's just for guests which makes it feel perfect for anyone.

Recently remodeled, on a quiet cul-de-sac, Penny's Place offers all the comforts of home, a fully-equipped kitchen, a large yard, and a quiet refuge all within a short three-block walk to downtown Pt. Reyes. Overlooks the wetlands trial and Inverness Ridge. Great for a family - there are basketball hoops across the street at the Dance Palace, lots of room indoors & out, and easy access to all West Marin has to offer. Three blocks from great restaurants, full service grocery, bookstore and more.
Our house is quiet - a perfect place for a relaxing getaway. We have a senior retirement center on one side and quiet, friendly neighbors on the other. Everything was remodeled a few years ago - the floors, paint, mattresses are all new and as green as possible. There is a full bathroom upstairs and a half-bath downstairs. Large, private front and back yard, hammock, swing, fruit trees. We have plenty of games, strong internet and streaming channels on the TV monitor and a brand new gas barbecue.
Pt Reyes Station is a lovely, close-knit community with unparalleled natural beauty. The Dance Palace nearby often has great performances on the weekend. Yoga Toes in town offers multiple classes. The bookstore sells used and new books. And there's great food, restaurants and bakeries nearby and a well-stocked grocery, the Palace Market (which has a surprisingly large gluten free section, as well as great local fish). All are within a short walk. There is a terrific consignment clothing store called Bloom two blocks from the house - Diane the owner is a lovely person.
  • An absolute gem! Spacious, sparkly clean, well stocked, comfortable, sunny, charming place, and walking distance to everything you need. You can hear frogs at night and see millions of stars. The big yard in back is lovely. The host Stephanie is fantastic, very friendly and attentive and makes an extra effort to make sure you have everything you need. A true home away from home.

  • Very clear and easy to follow instructions. Lovely little home, very peaceful and quiet. Fun backyard. Well appointed kitchen. Great location—short walk into town. The perfect base from which to explore the Point Reyes area.

  • There should be a ten star option for rentals like Penny’s Place. Perfect location, thoughtful amenities and tasteful artistic touches make this home a wonderful rental. I hope we get the privilege to visit again.

    Elaine2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great house in a great location. The house was very clean, welcoming, and peaceful. Instructions on how to use everything in the house were really helpful. Stephanie thoughtfully provided a list of local events and activities, and guides to explore the area.

  • Great location less than a few minutes walk to downtown Point Reyes. Quiet and cozy house with everything you need for exploring the local food, hikes and nature. Very clean and includes a washer/dryer in case you need to do some laundry.

    Peter2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • As I see it, you have two options when visiting Point Reyes - stay in a place with great views (like Inverness, usually close to beaches and hikes), or stay in Point Reyes Station. Staying at Stephanie's reinforced the value of staying in Point Reyes Station. You are still just a short drive to the beautiful beaches and hiking trails. And you are also able to take a walk to the Palace Market, Tomales Bay Foods, Bovine Bakery, Brickmaiden Breads, Station House Cafe, Side Street Diner -- all these wonderful little spots right in town. Plus there is an electric car charger at the wellness center around the corner from Penny's Place! Plus as all the other guests note - the house is clean, well equipped, comfortable, stylish. I will be back.

Unique setting next to the San Geronimo Valley Creek. Across a footbridge and next to our happy chickens you will find your cozy little Nook. Situated close to Pt Reyes National Park and other spectacular hiking and biking trails.
This is a studio in a private hideout in Lagunitas, next to the main house. The property is situated in a gorgeous valley full of redwood trees, flora and fauna. It is separated from the main road by a small creek, with a walking bridge connecting the home to the carport though a password protected gate. Trees, flowers, and ferns populate the yard, bringing in little birds, dragonflies, and frogs. We recently built a pond with lots of fish. Hopefully very soon we'll have some turtles in there as well. The studio has a queen size bed, 2 lounge chairs, a TV, and plenty of closet space. It's equipped with a small kitchenette with a small refrigerator, convection oven, sink, and 2 burners. The bathroom has a fully functional shower. At night you can see the stars from the comfort of the bed through the skylights. Stepping outside the studio, you'll see a lounge area with comfortable blue chairs, and the chicken coop with our hens (all named after famous female singers. We'll introduce you, if you'd like!). Beyond the fire pit is the creek. We have a little island where you can climb down and observe the salmon swim upstream, and the crawdads fight one another for their ladies honor. We are located within a 5 minute drive to Spirit Rock, 30 minutes to Stinson Beach, and about 45 minutes to San Francisco. There are lots of places to go hiking and swimming around here, and it's a great area for biking. As far as media entertainment options, the studio does have a TV with premium cable, and we offer free wifi.
  • Adorable place!

  • My husband and I stayed here for a week long vacation from MN. We loved being so close to the city but when you get back to Linda's place you suddenly feel the peaceful and rustic energy. Also loved how close we were to so much nature. 10/10!

    Vivian2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Really magical to walk across the bridge. Great heating and very nice to arrive with the place pre-warmed. The bed was wonderful, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the shower was simple and instantly the right temperature. Very private and secure. Thank you.

  • Excellent nook / getaway spot from the city within driving distance of Point Reyes Station. We were looking for a weekend with access to point reyes hiking and this spot delivered. From tomales point to the lighthouse and drakes beach, this Airbnb is the perfect setting to reach all those spots over a weekend. The room is a cute, comfy and relaxing hideout for a weekend.

    Stephen2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • This cosy cabin was as described and a quiet spot to use as a base for visits to new and old haunts in the area. We enjoyed seeing Point Reyes Station and Bolinas again. A walk around the East Peak of Mount Tam was stunning and Sol Food in San Rafael was great for lunch.

    Cynthia2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a sweet, sweet spot-- a delightful, cozy, clean and comfortable, brilliantly designed little cabin in a beautiful garden alongside a rushing creek, two minutes walk from excellent food (breakfast and lunch at the Lagunitas grocery, dinner at Arti Indian restaurant), ten minutes up the road from the redwoods of Samuel P. Taylor Park and twenty-five from Point Reyes National Seashore and its spectacular landscapes-- not to mention elephant seals and elk. Linda was the perfect host, check-in and check-out were as easy as could be, her tips for local activities and such were all useful... really, my only complaint is that we won't be able to get back there soon enough-- my wife and I just loved every minute. Thanks again and again, Linda! Adios for now.

    Jeffrey2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Linda's place is a hidden treasure. If you're looking for something cozy in a really special area, look no further. The Indian restaurant, a short walk from Linda's, was incredible. Before heading to hike to the Pioneer Tree at Samuel P. Taylor State Park, we stopped at the deli for delicious sandwiches. We were lucky that the Museum of Tea was open, as its only open from 10-2 on Saturdays. David was great and gave us a free tea tasting. We had Sol Food for dinner. There was a line but the huge plate of flavorful Peruvian food was worth it. On Sunday we did Pt. Reyes National Seashore to see the elephant seals. Huge and hilarious creatures. If you want to visit the Lighthouse, park at Drakes Beach to get a bus ticket. If you're visiting in January, know that the land is wet and it is cold but still magical. All in all, this stay was lovely. Quaint with hidden gems at every turn. Highly recommend.

A uniquely designed, rustic cabin with sweeping views of the National Park and Black Mnt, located along the Inverness Ridge Trail - hiking and biking excursions right out the door. The cabin is next to a wood-shop which is not part of the living space and is unfinished, the outdoor space is also rustic and in some places unfinished. The road is steep and gravel paved, the cabin is atop the ridge at road’s end. Not for those seeking hotel-like experience - but immersed in nature and inspiring.
The cabin consists of an open main hall including a kitchen, dining room and living space, and bedroom a deck and a terraced yard. The yard has a great view and comfortable seating, the planting are natives that are not irrigated during the dry season.
The cabin is at the end of Sunnyside Road on the Inverness ridge trail. It is the last house before the National Seashore so it looks out onto an uninterrupted views of the Point Reyes National Seashore, Mt Wittenberg and Black Mountain.
  • If you're looking to get away from it all for a few days, this is the space for you! Peaceful, secluded, and right next to miles and miles of hiking trails. Gorgeous views, hot shower, wood for fires at night. Thank you, Bo, for creating a fun retreat space!

    Stephanie2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Truly remarkable space. Thoughtful hosts and excellent communication. We’d definitely come back.

  • Please visit Point Reyes. It's beautiful, healing. And Bo's place? Quite perfect. Just make sure you have an SUV!

    Cheri2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is just as it is described - a very rustic, charming getaway with spectacular views and a welcoming, warm vibe. It is a perfect get away from everyday life. It definitely helped to have a 4WD vehicle and we were glad to have stocked up on groceries and kindling beforehand. Once you are in the cabin, you won't want to leave except to take a hike - and there is a trailhead right at the end of the driveway!! If you do venture out, the local towns of Inverness and Point Reyes are well-worth exploring and the drive to the seashore is easy. We went to Drakes Beach and the sea elephants were in mating season, so they were all along the beach (this was end of February). Overall, Bo's place was a fabulous experience.

    Margot2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place if you really want to get away from everything for some quiet time like writing, meditating or just relaxing and being quiet. Sitting in front of the wood stove at night in the darkness was really special, like camping, only with a soft, comfortable queen bed.

    Jeffrey2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect place to unplug and unwind. Bring a pile of books, a puzzle and some good people and you've got the perfect place for a retreat. The place is one of a kind.

    Rory2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous views in an amazing, one of a kind house. I love this place.

    Mary2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This space, the views, the night sky, and the proximity to nature and trails cannot be beat. We enjoyed runs on near by trails and long, glorious hikes. We went out to eat for our evening meals but it was easy to have breakfast and lunch in the apartment. If anything, we wish we had planned to spend more time in the house! The sunrise from bed was stunning. Soaking up the sun (and then the stars) from the deck was incredible. The views cannot be beat. The sun shines into the space and warms it up, along with a great fireplace. We were very comfortable. The only thing I would recommend is a) arriving during day light hours and b) making sure to get really clear directions as to how to drive all the way down, past the address proper, so that you can drive right up to the door. If you are concerned about driving narrow gravel roads, especially at night (if you plan to eat out), or if you are worried about balance (there are a few sets of steps within the apartment), this place is probably not for you.

My place is close to Point Reyes National Sea Shore and Tomales Bay, . You’ll love my place because of the great views from every room and 6 acres of hiking trails on property. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and fitness enthusiasts.Having lived in West Marin for 47 years I have hiked all of Marin County and have many recommendations for ultimate adventure hikes. Those who are interested in improving their health can learn from my 47 years of daily making fresh raw vegetable juice
The house has 62 windows and is high on a ridge that looks out without seeing any other houses.Recently a bird watching couple spotted 33 kinds of birds during a 30 minute walk around my 6 acres. I have 16 chairs with cushions placed on the trails, to sit and take in the views of Tomales Bay and the surrounding mountains. Take the 43 picture tour and see it
  • Great centralized location to explore the beautiful region!

  • Beautiful. Peaceful. Friendly

    Janine Change2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Clear Acres is in a perfect location to enjoy which ever direction of the coast line you desire. Easy to get to super chill host and spectacular views. We honestly didn’t have an opportunity to enjoy the additional features of the home such as the music room or the hiking trails, but I plan to come back another time and enjoy that!!

    Sheila2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I were looking for a place to stay while we explored Point Reyes National Seashore looking for birds and marine mammals over a long weekend. Randy’s place put us right at the doorstep of the park and provided a great view of Tomales Bay to the hills beyond. There are great places to eat just down the road. The room had plenty of space to stretch out after a day of hiking. Randy was friendly, helpful, and available if we had questions.

    Adam2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Randy was a great host with a cool place!! I plan to stay here again sometime.

    Michael2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Randy's place has amazing views and the location is excellent. He is very knowledgeable about Pt Reyes and West Marin and was glad to share his knowledge. The room we stayed in was very spacious and comfortable. Randy was responsive with his communications and check-in was very easy. We would stay there again!

    Franklyn2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place to rest between two days of long hikes! The room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable. Fantastic location for hiking/enjoying the outdoors (we did the Woodward Valley Trail, Point Reyes Lighthouse, Tomales Point Trail, & McClures beach). Randy left us maps & gave us great hiking tips!

    Jenna2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • It was a comfortable and clean place. There are multiple rooms that are reserved by different guests, but the rooms are spread out enough that you’re not running into guests. The interior design is very 70s and it was interesting to just walk around and see the views and the quirkiness of the interior. Randy is very friendly as well and he was a great host.

Great for short walks. A few minute walk from great deli and pub-type eatery!
  • The best light, the coziest cabin, the most peaceful stay. I was looking for a secluded place where I could spend a few quiet days writing, and this was the perfect spot. I loved every minute of my stay and will definitely stay there again.

    LaDonna2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This house is super clean and full of fun art and great light. The neighborhood is quiet and provides easy access to Point Reyes, Tomales Bay, etc. There is a nice market/cafe/taproom within 5 minutes walk, and the kitchen is set up well for cooking and grilling.

    Jennifer2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely spot close to Pt. Reyes and Tomales Bay!

    Emma2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This house was perfect. It is well equipped and we especially appreciated all the utensils in the kitchen and the BBQ. we really like being able to shop locally and then coming home to cook. The house is perfectly located to enjoy the peninsula. A great spot.

  • Jack's place is fantastic for a quiet getaway in Point Reyes. It's within walking distance to the market and about 25 to 30 minute drive to the beach. The house was extremely clean, and delightfully decorated. The owner's are clearly world travelers and the house reflects that; it's filled with art from around the world and many good reads if you happen to find yourself with time for a book. I recommend his place to anyone wanting to visit the area and hopefully I'll have the chance to visit again myself.

    Jas2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this space so much. It has amazing and eclectic artwork, beautiful woodwork everywhere, beautiful stone walls downstairs. Easy drive from the main area of Point Reyes Station. This will definitely be on our favorites list!

    Maria2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jack's place is simply wonderful. The house is beautiful and filled with all kinds of interesting art. There are three separate decks and the upper floor feels like you are in a treehouse. The house is in the country, but close to Pt. Reyes Station - just perfect. Any questions we had were responded to quickly. I cannot recommend Jack's place more highly.

    Kelly2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Jack's cabin is ideally located for exploring Point Reyes and nearby attractions while still being a quiet and peaceful place to unwind after a busy day. The cabin itself is clean and very comfortable - we particularly enjoyed the sun room in the mornings. I would recommend this airbnb and would stay here again.

The Maple Cottage sits on a 12-acre property surrounded by trees with a view of Tomales Bay. This clean, modern studio is bright and open with high wood ceilings, radiant-heat floors, king bed, full bath, Coyuchi linens and EO soaps.
PLEASE NOTE: We have another rental home, FoxGlove Retreat, on the same property, adjacent to the Maple Cottage. These can be rented together or separately. Together they can comfortably sleep 8 adults. The Maple Cottage was lovingly designed by the owners to be a retreat for their friends and family. Surrounded by trees and tasteful landscaping, the cottage's large screenless windows on all sides make this studio light and spacious. There are three buildings on the property. One is the owners' home, which has a completely separate parking and entry area. The second structure is the Maple Cottage, and the third is FoxGlove, a 3 bedroom house sometimes used as a vacation rental as well. The Maple Cottage is freestanding, but we do want to make it clear that there is a home on each side of the cottage, and there may be a few other people around. That said, we've had few complaints from guests, as you can see from the reviews. We're all here to enjoy the serenity.
The cottage is 150 yards from a quiet residential road that only sees a handful of cars each day. Most of the homes on our road are tucked back into the forest on long driveways. Just strolling up and down our road is a lovely hike, with plenty of plants and wildlife to take in. No streetlights, no light pollution, no noise. Just peace and quiet. We have a wonderful "recommendations" letter we can send you, full of local information, tips, suggestions, cautions, etc...
  • Beautiful home with really interesting architecture on a peaceful property with a view. Very close to Point Reyes Station and to the national seashore. Roomy space with a king sized bed. No cooking facilities so you can enjoy the local food. The wifi works well but note there is no TV.

    Aubrey2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed the lovely views of the bay and the comfy bed to come back to after our adventures. The host worked really hard to provide lots of great local suggestions, too.

    Meghan2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great space, and excellent hosts!

    Samuel2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • The Maple Cottage is one of my favorite Airbnb stays yet. The main appeal of Point Reyes is its pristine and stunning nature, and the Cottage provides the perfect observatory to immerse in the area’s surrounding beauty. When waking up with all of the shades open (a luxury enjoyed by the fact that there happened to not be any occupants in the neighboring buildings for the duration of our stay), we were able to see the sunrise through the trees. The views here are truly unbeatable. Aaron clearly takes a lot of pride in this space, and it has a lot of very special and thoughtful touches, from a book collection about local food and history, to comfortable bathrobes. The heat also worked perfectly, which was much appreciated as it was in the 30s at night! Usually when I travel I’m out and about a lot, but the space really invites you to slow down and observe - you can enjoy the outdoor environments in a comfortable, serene space. Thank you again for a wonderful stay! We hope to visit the Maple Cottage and the splendor of Point Reyes again someday soon.

    Mara2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Aaron's place for the weekend at Point Reyes and it was very pleasant. Getting in was a little difficult (we arrived on a pouring night), but once we settled in, we felt very comfortable. Nice bed, clean space, and enough amenities. These are all we wanted for a nice weekend at Point Reyes Station. Aaron was very prompt with our questions and gave us helpful tips for the place as well as for interesting local spots/activities.

Rediscover the joy of the outdoors in this forest cottage. The quaint residence features rustic natural materials, varying patterns, wood surfaces throughout, a cozy corner wood burning stove, and a backyard patio with a dining area.
The romantic cabin is set in the trees overlooking Tomales Bay. The cottage exudes a rustic modern elegance with unique art and antiques. A cast-iron gas fireplace provides warmth and romantic ambiance. The sumptuous bed and soft fine linens will ease your senses. The spacious patio, with recliners, provide everything needed to relax and enjoy the ebb and flow of Inverness living. Settle in and let the wildlife and changing light on the trees entertain you. If you love to cook, the cottage has a fully equipped kitchen. Or, enjoy a lovely evening out at one of the many acclaimed restaurants in the area. Take a hike during the day, rent a kayak for an adventure on the bay, or visit some of the quaint coastal towns. Return to your own private cottage to enjoy romantic nights by the cozy wood stove. Rich furnishings, heated floors, a big leather couch and tasteful decorative touches will cradle you in the lap of unexpected luxury in this delightful cabin.
The cottage is located in between Inverness and Inverness Park, the latter being home to Inverness Park Market - a market like no other, and not to be missed. Just a few miles down the road is the town of Inverness with cafes, restaurants, and pubs.
  • Excellent hideaway for weekend or extended stays, super comfortable and surprisingly better than described. The negative review of road noise did not bother us at all. Host checked in with us immediately to remedy any issues found on arrival, of which there were none. This is how AirBnB should work every time.

  • Such a fantastic location and beautiful vacation cottage. Spacious and well-appointed. And the wood-burning stove is the cherry on the top. If you're visiting the Point Reyes area you won't go wrong staying here.

  • We’re big lovers of Marin but had never spent deliberate time in Inverness and loved our two days tremendously, by and large for the home we found in this well equipped and cozy cabin. David and Sandhya were wonderful, attentive hosts and provided all the guidance and special touches to make our stay seamless and meaningful. Great location, clean, comfortable, and grounding space. We especially took advantage of the the wood stove and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and working our way through the record collection. We’d happily return!

The Captain’s Cabin -- Welcome This is the upper unit of a two unit house. For larger groups we recommend renting both units. This unit has a full kitchen, dinning room, large living room with a wood burning fireplace (with a queen high from the ground brand new blow-up mattress), two bedrooms (one queen size bed and two singles), and two full bathrooms. Please note the two single beds are located in a room referred to as the sleeping porch (our personal favorite room of the house) adjoining the master bedroom. Guests staying in the sleeping porch must walk through the master bedroom to access a bathroom. There is one parking spot included with this unit and additional parking available on the side of the house. There is a gas and a charcoal grill available for your use. This unit also has beautiful and large back deck with sweeping views of the bay. This house reflects the lives of my grandparents. My grandfather was a master mariner by profession. He sailed in the American Merchant Marine from the 1920s to the 1940s, circumnavigating the globe more than 25 times. His wartime service was as captain of the Liberty ship, SS John Fiske, whose identifying plaque from the ship’s bridge is on the eastern exterior wall next to the steering wheel. When they retired in the 1970s, my grandparents chose this location so that he and my mother could have a quiet life in the woods, but at the same time could see the horizon and part of the sea. The tree-top setting is just a half-mile from the town of Inverness with its store, post office, café, and restaurants; and a ten-minute drive from the restaurants, shops and weekend Farmers’ Market of Point Reyes Station. Beaches, hiking trails and the Point Reyes National Seashore are within walking distance or a short car ride, and the south-facing deck is sunny and warm all day. But don't take our word for it--read what the New York Times had to say about Salt Water, the local restaurant, and the delights of the wider area. '36 hours in Marin County', 27 Jan. 2013. We hope that you enjoy our house, enter into its spirit enjoying the views of Tomales Bay, the hills, woods and beaches of western Marin and Elephant Mountain bathed in the ever- changing light of the Point Reyes Peninsula, a very special ‘Island in Time’. • Tony's place is very sweet. It's a nice, cozy place on a beautiful piece of land near town. We saw deer outside our windows every morning and loved being so close to nature. Tony was also very easy to communicate with and was a very responsive and friendly host. One thing I'll note is that the place does feel tight for three couples with kids (which is what we were). And having only one bathroom in a three-bedroom place is a little inconvenient. Other than that, the space felt really nice to be in and everyone in my group had a nice time. Thanks, Tony!

  • The view from this spot is un real. Such a quiet and beautiful place to relax. Couldn’t have asked for anything better.

  • My husband and I had an amazing time at Justinian's Airbnb. The view was phenomenal, the location was peaceful and the unit was very clean. We would love to come back and highly recommend the place to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life!

    Ashley2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed with our 2 month old daughter and we had a great time! Lots of space, clean, we enjoyed the gas fireplace. For those of you who are critical about how a mattress might be in an Airbnb: this one was perfect!! Not too soft! Enough space for the bassinet and playmat! Great location to all Point Reyes trails and sights!

    Ulrike2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Justinian's. It was clean, comfortable, and had an amazing view.

    Lauren2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • If morning sun is your thing, then buckle up because the sun is coming in hot! My fiancée and I needed a break from the daily grind and found the perfect oasis in Justinians unit. Fresh cup of coffee in the morning, a good book, and two Adirondack chairs on the poach for a sun rise and quiet was all we needed. Thank you again for the escape!

Located in the forest, this cottage is a perfect place to relax. The house was completed in 2017. It is beautifully decorated with bamboo floors and oriental rugs. A deck with chaises and a dining table make it a wonderful place to enjoy the forest view. 750 sq feet
  • Wonderful cabin!

  • Susan’s cottage is so lovely and perfect for a getaway to the forest! The location was great for exploring the area and Susan thought of everything to make the stay perfect.

  • Great secluded location with quality finishes. After hiking a great place to come home and relax.

    Suzanne2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • A gem! We loved everything about this cottage. It is nestled in the forest just outside of Inverness...private, but definitely not isolated. It is just a quick 5-minute drive to Inverness, and only 15 minutes from the entrance to park headquarters. The layout of the cottage is perfect - just the right amount of space for a couple, and maybe one other person. The furnishings and bed are very comfortable, and the view is terrific. There are a lot of personal touches that make this place feel very homey, and not just like another generic rental. The kitchen was very well appointed, and the place was sparkling clean. Susan was terrific about communicating. She let us know that the power had been shut off a few days before, and gave instructions on how to reset the thermostat. All communication was prompt and timely. We loved this place!

  • This is a lovely space - quiet, well-cared for, and centrally located between Pt. Reyes Station/Bear Valley and the Lighthouse/Drake's beach. The deck is amazing. The bed is comfortable. The heater, water pressure, and kitchen amenities work like a dream. Highly recommend.

    Jake2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place. Very peaceful and comfortable. Had everything we needed.

    Samantha2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is an extremely nice, well appointed and comfortable cottage, in a beautiful location. The photos don't quite do it justice. When we arrived, we said to ourselves "wow this place is really nice!" The kitchen is great, everything you'd need is there, the bedroom and bed are very comfortable, and the large outside porch is really nice, with beautiful views, lots of sunshine. Plus the cottage is in a very peaceful and secluded location. We were very happy with our stay.

John & Catherine's home is located in Point Reyes Station, California, United States. There are lots of nearby activities such as walking into town, riding bikes, birding, hiking, horse back riding, mead and wine tasting, food tours and so much more….. We are on a quiet residential road overlooking Tomales Bay and Wetlands. We only sees a handful of cars each day. Just strolling around the neighborhood provides a lovely picturesque walk, with plenty of plants and wildlife to take in. No streetlights, no light pollution, no noise. Just peace and quiet.
  • This is so superior to the usual Airbnb cottage. This is a beautifully decorated home, with comfortable chairs and seating areas,an extensive, diverse and esoteric selection of books and videos, artwork and oriental carpets, There is also extremely comfortable bed and lovely sheets. Freshly laundered robes and towels, stacks of them, await you in the scrupulously clean bathroom sporting a large claw foot tub (in case you don’t want to take a hot tub). EO - organic soaps and amenities. Fruit, local cheese, and crackers greeted us upon our arrival, and the kitchen was stocked with good coffee, organic milk, and staples for preparing our own meals. John and Catherine were quick to respond to our questions and recommended a bike trail as well. The stay could not have been better.

    Naomi2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin with lots of amenities including shucker knifes and a BBQ to fulfill all your oyster cravings during your stay. Pretty close to the Point Reyes Station main street and all other villages and State Parks/Reserves by car.

    Gerald2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is very cozy, bright and clean. The bedding and furniture are very comfortable the kitchen is incredibly well stocked. As mentioned in the other reviews - there are thoughtful touches for you when you arrive - fresh flowers, fruit and local cheese and crackers. All of the practical information you need is well documented in the house manual, and the hosts are very responsive. All in all, a great rental property in a beautiful area.

    Liz2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • This cozy cottage is located in a quiet spot yet close to the charming little town of Point Reyes Station. We were happy to discover there was a hot tub & wood stove. What a perfect getaway! We’ll be back!

    Lisa2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved having a relaxing, peaceful weekend here. Catherine and John were very responsive, and their attention to details made it feel extra special - turning the lights and heat on when we arrived later than intended, fresh flowers, cheese, milk, and robes. We especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen that made it possible to cook without needing to get super creative, the very interestingly curated library, and the very hot hot tub. We look forward to a chance to book this place again for another visit.

    Jen2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at John and Catherine’s cottage. The place is just as described—secluded and peaceful, yet so conveniently located close to town and the sights/hiking trailheads. Catherine was super communicative before our arrival and once we were there, we found countless thoughtful details that made our experience extra special: terrycloth robes, fresh flowers, fruit and cheese, fresh milk in the fridge and a very well-equipped kitchen, perfect for making a home-cooked meal. With the cast iron stove and hot tub it made a cozy, relaxing and unforgettable weekend in Point Reyes. We will definitely be back to stay here one day! Thank you, Catherine!

    Margaux2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • John & Catherine's place was wonderful. Extremely comfortable and cozy yet spacious. A very well stocked kitchen and attention to detail all around. Lovely patio and great spot to watch birds and local flora and fauna. So convenient to the village. Catherine & John were really friendly and there if we needed anything but otherwise we barely knew they were there. It was very private. We had a great stay!

  • This was our second time staying here and we LOVED it again! Perfect spot for a getaway. Cozy, well furnished studio. Feels spacious. Kitchen is wonderful for cooking. Quiet location with hot tub for soaking under the stars. Close to trail hikes/runs with ocean views, or cheese and treats!

The Herons Nest is a serene private Cottage in a beautiful location in the Point Reyes National Seashore. It is set on 2 acres with sweeping views of Tomales Bay. The attached Cottage was renovated blending a modern design with the original Cedar Interior. You can view the Herons flying across the bay from the deck. The area is a prime location for outdoor enthusiasts with activities like hiking, kayaking, camping and sailing. The town of Point Reyes is 10 minutes away with a few restaurants.
Best suited for adults. Check Out is 11 AM
Inverness is one of the most beautiful coastal communities in the US.
  • A very peaceful and tranquil location, with a nice deck to enjoy a beverage and book.

    Laura2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at the Nest this weekend. The cottage was cozy, clean, and super close to the Point Reyes and Inverness main streets as well as hiking trails. Alexis was a wonderful host who made sure to check about us having everything we needed. We were to cook up a few homemade meals thanks to the kitchen and equipment in the cottage. I’d recommend staying there in a heart beat!

    Claudia2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed 3 nights and found the off-street location to be fantastically quiet. We loved the fabulously comfortable bed and linens, the well equipped kitchen and comfortable seating area. Views of the Bay were sublime. We would stay here again!!

    Meg2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful weekend escape. The cabin is great, has everything you need to stay in for the weekend or be a launching place to go explore. Alexis was a fantastic host

    Stephen2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable cabin, well outfitted for folks who like privacy and who like to cook! The location is stunning; next to all the best hikes in the area. I loved the iron stove, the wood structure, and the quiet of the space. Lots of room for yoga, both in the cabin and on the enormous porch! But the real mark of a great airbnb is how responsive the host is when things don't go according to plan, and by that measure, Alexis was the absolute best! During my stay, the earthquake valve temporarily shut off the heat. I reached out to Alexis and she was swift, responsive, and generous with me. She resolved the problem with impressive speed, and I was back to enjoying the beautiful trails Pt Reyes has to offer in no time. A wonderful property, well-run by someone who has clear pride of ownership. I hope to return soon. Thank you!

    Stacy2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was great! My wife and I had a lovely weekend in Inverness and environs and the cabin was perfect for relaxing and as a base-camp for our travels. Very easy check-in and we appreciated all the thoughtful touches throughout. We even got to give belly rubs to a nice neighbor dog.

    Adam2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Alexis’ place is absolutely beautiful. Great location for exploring point Reyes and it’s neighboring coastal towns.

My place is close to Point Reyes National Sea Shore and Tomales Bay, . You’ll love my place because of the great views from every room and 6 acres of hiking trails on property. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and fitness enthusiasts.Having lived in West Marin for 48 years I have hiked all of Marin County and have many recommendations for ultimate adventure hikes. Those who are interested in improving their health can learn from my 48 years of daily making fresh raw vegetable juice
Take the 43 picture tour and see it.
Laurel Street is a dead end street up on a ridge in the woods and is super quiet.
  • Randy’s big room has GREAT views of Tomales Bay :) He also takes time to talk to you if you ask him for great local spots where to hike, where to see sunset, etc. Everything is as pictured. The place can also be a great place to just chill, especially with his home theater. He’s a Cadillac enthusiast and music aficionado, makes up for great conversations.

    Richel2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for a place to stay overnight to make an early morning kayak trip. Randy's place is in a great location, really close to a lot of trails and also to Pt. Reyes Station. Randy was very helpful, had a lot of great books and information about the surrounding area.

    Helen2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We only stayed at Randy’s place one night but it was great! Randy’s place is very spacious and has a great view from the bedroom! We had such a nice time talking with Randy about music and other similar interests! Thanks Randy!

    Alexandra2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Randy's advice and local knowledge really helped us make the most of a quick stay in Point Reyes. Plus, the home is at a super convenient location with beautiful views you can see just from the window.

    Grace2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Randy’s place can’t be beat. He is very welcoming and the view is outstanding. The whole house- particularly the bathroom and bedroom- were super clean. The bed is so comfortable and what a treat to sleep looking out the window at the stars.

    Shari2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Randy’s place is exactly as advertised! He is a fantastic resource for local adventures, and makes check-in & check-out super easy. We loved the massive windows from the room; it truly felt like such an escape from our city life. We can’t wait to come back for all the adventures we didn’t get to the first time - thanks again Randy!

    Grace2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful view, probably the best I've got in an Airbnb. Large French windows provide great view throughout the hoise. Peaceful and quiet getaway, just what we needed. Randy is a great host and offers great conversation.

Please note: The room only has one queen bed. Despite what the Airbnb listing says. We cannot change the description on Airbnb so far.
  • Fantastic location, super clean, friendly hosts! What's not to love? Just don't expect the best connection to the wifi, when we went it was very temperamental. But honestly, the house and the environment around make it inconsequential.

Very quiet and private- as someone who was leaving before 7.00am every morning and going to bed at 9.00 pm it was everything I could have hoped. Highly recommended.

Our home is centrally located in the heart of Marin County and is tucked away in a beautiful redwood grove between the Point Reyes National Seashore, Wine Country, and San Francisco. Hiking and mountain biking are just steps away and road cycling enthusiasts can easily tour the rolling hills.
The suite is located downstairs and has a private entrance which can easily be found with its orange color. Just outside the door you will find a charming flag stone terrance surrounded by redwood trees which you will have full access to use at all hours. Your back yard is the Giacomini Open Space Preserve where you can hike, bike, and even participate in equestrian activities. In addition, the nearby Point Reyes National Seashore is a great place to sight whales as they migrate south, observe the elephant seals and their pups, and catch a glimpse of salmon spawning. On arrival you will find the space to be well appointed including a small refrigerator, Nespresso machine, microwave, tv and internet channels including Netflix and Pandora, as well as wifi for use with your personal devices.
San Geronimo is a quiet neighborhood with a lot of history. At the base of our hill, you can find the Two Bird Cafe which serves an amazing breakfast and is popular with the locals. For evening entertainment you can venture into Fairfax (just 10 minutes away) or visit the Papermill Creek Saloon in Forest Knolls (5 minutes away) which features live music most nights.

  • Marianne's place is a lovely little spot located in the redwood mountains. The view from just the room is astonishing. It's a great place to stay if you're looking for nice, simple, and clean accommodation. They have plenty of space for your stuff, a fridge, some hangers, a modern bathroom and even a bottle opener for when you forget to bring one with your wine! My boyfriend and I went to explore some of Point Reyes nearby and felt super comfortable relaxing here at the end of the day . :)

  • This place was so great! A bit of a trek driving up the hill after dark the first time, but worth every second to wake up with that view. We highly enjoyed breakfast at Two Bird Cafe, and Muir Woods and Sonoma were both super reachable for us to explore during the day. The little patio space outside was great for relaxing even when a little chilly.

Charming Point Reyes Studio Cottage. Sunny, Private Garden, Kitchen, Fireplace. Located on 3 acre farm complete with chickens, ducks, goose and sheep. And surrounded by Point Reyes National Seashore park lands.
  • We truly enjoyed our stay at Trinka’s cottage. The location is great for easy access to restaurants in Point Reyes, hiking trails and nearby beaches. But the best part of the experience for our 2.5 year old son was feeding the sheep and chickens on the property :)

    Mehdi2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect little getaway right down the street from town and secluded on a lovely farm. Very clean and cozy with the sweetest dogs nearby!

    Heather2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The Morning Glory cottage is cozy and charming and Trinka was a lovely hostess. Very nice light in the morning. Our kids really enjoyed seeing the chickens and sheep. The cottage is in a perfect location with respect to accessing Point Reyes hiking as well as the great local food scene. Don’t expect to do any serious cooking as the kitchen is more like a kitchenette with minimal cooking tools, but you can definitely make a simple meal.

    Ryan2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at this quaint and fun Cottage! And I was so surprised and impressed that Trinka left 2 slices of delicious cake and candles for my birthday, which we were celebrating on this stay! The farm fresh eggs and cheese were also lovely. The cottage is centrally located for Pt. Reyes National Seashore, Pt. Reyes Station, and Inverness. The cottage was very comfortable and cozy, and warmed up quickly with the gas fireplace. We loved the view of the sheep and small pastures from the cottage, and enjoyed meeting the chickens, Joey the duck, and Tess the dog. We definitely recommend this cottage.

    Mary2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful spot with cute sheep running around. Get away and relax and enjoy the simple things.

    Ann2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Trinka's place is well located near the Point Reyes National Seashore headquarters and Bear Valley Trailhead, and very close to the town center. She was so welcoming, and her farm was delightful. Dogs, chickens, sheep, all made for a very relaxing and comfortable stay.

    Will2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Trinka’s place was a very sweet, cozy little cottage. The space is like a large guest room / studio. My family of 4 personally enjoyed the coziness (we had the sofa bed pulled out) so if cozy spaces are for you you’d love it too! :) You can see the sheep wandering around in the mornings and that was delightful. Wifi was really spotty (1 bar or none mostly) so I’d plan on having some good old fashioned hanging out with whoever you’re travelling with!

    Guan Rong2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • We spent two nights in the cottage over New Years, and loved it! It is a quiet, picturesque place to call home while exploring the area, and unplugging a bit. The location is perfect for seeing the park and surrounding towns. Everything was simple and straightforward, and we so appreciated Trinka’s hospitality. The space is clean and comes with thoughtful touches throughout. Can’t recommend enough!

Charming room/private entrance, directly bordering 100 acre steep forest with creek, for your retreat space to unwind...feel the deep dark starry nights, owls hooting the only sound...wake up to the many-bird symphony, forest bathe over breakfast and explore the endless nature trails all around! RE: CURRENT SCARE: --YOU MAY TELECOMMUTE FROM HERE --YOU MAY UNPLUG HERE --OUR AREA IS NOT HUMAN-DENSE --WE HAVE OUTDOOR FARMERS MARKETS --WE SCREEN, AND SANITIZE, NO NEED TO SHARE MUCH
We are located at the end of the road bordering a huge inacessible forest (you can walk 100 feet into it on trail for forest immersion, and creek magic)
We are at the end of a quiet paved country road. One can walk 10 min to the farmstand, or the saloon, even to a deli in 20 min.
  • If you like a quiet place in a wooded area and the freedom to prepare your own meals, this is a place you should consider. It's not fancy, do not expect modern, luxury amenities. It is rustic, and as such you might have to deal with things that might seem slightly primitive. One thing you can count on is that Saskia is a wonderful host. She likes to share her local knowledge of hikes, restaurants and other things of interest in the area. She was quick to communicate any issues that might arise. Extremely like-able and probably the main reason we will be back.

    Luis2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great rustic getaway. if you're trying to disappear into the woods this is a good place to do it. Saskia is hardworking and funny. Very knowledgeable about the area as well.

    Jules2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location and great value

    Melissa2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is my second time booking with Saskia and I've loved my time here! The house provides a nice retreat in the forest and the rooms are charming and very homey. Saskia is a wonderful and caring host and made sure I was comfortable during my stays and had great recommendations and local tips. There are some friendly foster dogs that are residents, but they are only in the communal areas of the hosue if all guests are comfortable with them but they do not go into the bedrooms. Overall the house and rooms are clean and cozy. I would definitely recommend staying with Saskia if you are looking for a nice communal house in nature. I definitely plan on staying here again when I am in the area!!

  • This place is extremely magical and gorgeous! And Saskia is a generous and thoughtful host. I highly recommend anyone to stay here.

  • My stay with Saskia was incredible! I came to do some writing / mountain biking over winter break and it was a great place to do so. There was a good balance of privacy in the room and community in the shared kitchen and living areas with the host and other guests. The host actively maintained cleanliness throughout the stay, and had great recommendations on nearby nature spots and local meditation events. I enjoyed that the place was "lived in" and not perfectly organized. Saskia is a dog rescuer, so the property is home to several friendly dogs. I fell in love with a few of them! They are only let in the house if you let Saskia know you're ok with it. The check in instructions tell you to call Saskia upon arrival; I would recommend giving her a ring when you get to Forest Knolls as she can help you get to the right driveway. Overall, I felt at home. I made lifelong memories and shared many laughs with new friends, and plan on visiting again soon. I would recommend any of the rooms to my friends who are open to community living, laid back, outdoorsy, and looking for connection to the places in which they travel. This was so much more interesting of a stay than a sterilized and isolating hotel room somewhere, and all for a budget price. If you are planning on staying here with any expectation of things being in perfect order, find a less interesting Airbnb or book a hotel room :)

  • A truly magical spot! My partner and I felt like we were staying in a little home straight out of Harry Potter. Saskia is very helpful and made us feel at home. I hope to stay here again soon.

Rustic high-end room in restored log home. Old hickory furniture, organic bedding / towels, hand-made tiles in bathroom, spring water, outside porch swing, views of Mt. Vision, heritage oak trees, and trails running up Inverness ridge and into Point Reyes National Seashore, with beaches and wonderful hiking. Abundant wildlife lives in our garden - spotted owls, ospreys, bobcats, gray foxes, mule deer, and even coyotes. My home is a wild retreat - private, peaceful, restorative.
This room is private with it's own entrance. We live in the other half of the cabin and we are quiet and respectful hosts. This is a beautiful location, on a south-facing flat sunny knoll. No other neighbors are visible from here. We are at the end of a road, with trails heading up into the hills. The yard is unfenced, and there is an abundance of wildlife. Many birds migrate through this area, and it's known as a birder's paradise.
Inverness is lovely, you can swim in Tomales Bay (or if you're brave the Pacific Ocean) and there are a couple of wonderful restaurants and a library, post office and store nearby. We are close (about 10 minutes drive) to Point Reyes station which has fabulous shops, restaurants, bakery, bookstore, grocery store and more. There are several hikes from our back door into the protected parklands, and you can easily drive into the Point Reyes National Seashore from here (another 10 minutes in the other direction).
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Raven's and we love Point Reyes.

  • Can’t recommend this place enough!

  • Lovely cabin on a hill. Easy, quick drive to town or hiking areas. Raven was wonderful to work with, quick replies and would checkin everyday to see how we were or if we needed anything. Cabin is clean and quiet, small, definitely a 2 person max. Fire pit was great! Lovely front porch swing! Merlin the cat was a doll! Would highly recommend and would return if we get back here (hopefully soon!)

  • Raven‘s place is wonderful. A beautiful cabin in nature, with views on the forest, hills and the sun shining through the big windows. Raven is very helpful with anything you need and will have the place sparkling clean for you. A great choice!

  • Cannot express in words how much I loved it here! So serene, so quiet -- a perfect destination for a writer's retreat :)

  • Amazing space to stay in for a few days. It felt like our own private cabin and it was extremely clean. Would stay again!

  • Raven's place is conveniently located near Inverness and Point Reyes Station. The cabin is petite, which my wife and I found perfect for a low-key weekend getaway. Local tip: if you plan on dining at Saltwater Oyster Depot, call for reservations! We didn't and the kitchen ran out of food that evening and they weren't able to seat us. A great nearby alternative is Sun Marin Farms (incorrectly listed as just a butcher shop of google). Great selection of dishes, including non-meat items.

  • This place is beautiful!! I had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back again! Raven was super sweet, helpful, and communicative. Highly recommend :)
