This is our 2nd New Year's at this Gorgeous cabin! Our family loves the peace & quiet, Beautiful views, hot tub & Spacious room to roam. Corrina is a Fantastic host! Andrea & Beth have created an amazing space to relax and enjoy. With a super comfy bed, tasteful and cozy decor, and activities like games and a space for campfires you don’t even need to leave the property for a vacation or weekend retreat. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Beautiful, cozy, perfect for a getaway! This little yurt is nestled on Andrea's property and is perfectly isolated for a private vacation. The yurt was far roomier than I expected, and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Andrea clearly lays out her expectations for being a guest and caring for the yurt (all simple to follow). She also goes to the next step - if you care for it - by giving local advice on places to go and hiking trails to try. She even had fresh eggs from her chickens waiting for us in the fridge. When the sky is clear, you get a beautiful view of Mt. Baker by day and the stars by night. If your in Mt. Vernon for tulips, snow geese, hiking, or just a quick stop, this is a perfect place to lay your head at night!

The yurt was incredible. I was a bit nervous because it was scheduled to rain the entire time (which it did), but I shouldn’t have been. The sound of the rain against the yurt, combined with the warmth inside the yurt, and candles around the room made for a perfectly romantic getaway out of the city.

Such a cute yurt! The bed was very comfortable and all the amenities were above and beyond that of other stays of the same price. Andrea was so responsive and helpful when needed, but also left privacy. She was so kind! Even though we couldn’t stay our entire time booked, she was so sweet when we left early.

My favorite air b&b experience yet. The yurt is so so cozy, adorned with twinkle lights and filled with warmth and many thoughtful comforts. Being here in the rain & on the full moon was so special! This space just has such a wonderful energy. Lovely lush hikes in the area with well marked trails, nice little town with a great co-op & discount grocery store. Andrea was an amazing host - communicative, kind, clear & made herself totally available even while being away for the weekend. You can expect a wonderful and spacious yurt with the cutest homemade touches! My boyfriend and I had never stayed in a yurt before and had such a great time that we want to stay in another already! Andrea and Beth are very responsive and attentive, they want to ensure you have a great visit. The views were great and they thought of everything for what you may need during your stay. An amazing experience and I would highly recommend!

This is a lovely home base for exploring the bounties of nature in Skagit Valley! The rooms are comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. Just perfect!

Cozy downstairs apartment. Beds were comfortable. Everything g was very clean and well maintained. Since it’s a Downstairs apartment, you can hear footsteps and talking from upstairs. It’s a beautiful area and nice place to stay.

This is a quiet, end of the road place that is easy to find and close to any type of local adventure you wish to explore. The place is very spacious with everything you need. There is no television. So sit back, enjoy face to face conversation, read a good book, play a game (games are avaiable) or enjoy a walk/hike.

Amazing stay, nice family getaway

The area where the house is located is very quiet, and it is not inconvenient to drive about 10 kilometers to go shopping. Room central heating is insufficient, can make complement with warm fan, if have washing equipment better.

Julie’s place is cozy, perfect, and even better than we expected when we booked it! Julie was extremely accommodating, quick to respond, and so kind. She greeted us when we got there and explained everything as well as giving us local recommendations. She was easy to communicate with and the Airbnb had everything you could possibly need. If you do need something, feel free to reach out to her because she was able to help us out right away! We loved our stay and will come back next time we’re in the area!

Julie and Steve are outstanding hosts. They greeted us upon our check in to show us the suite and to explain the heating, lights, parking and snacks and beverages left for us. The room was wonderful. Large and sparkling clean. The bed was comfortable with ample pillows and blankets. There was a lovely electric fireplace that added ambiance as well as heat. There were even fresh flowers that were an especially nice touch since it was winter! We stayed over Christmas and enjoyed the Christmas touches to our entrance and room. We visit Mt. Vernon often and look forward to returning!

Absolutely amazing air bnb with wonderful hosts! The kitchen was well stocked on utensils, and even had a few spices and things in the cupboard. Everything was really clean and they had a great selection of movies!

My sister and I came in for our Nephew’s wedding. They were close to the venue. Before booking, Julie assured me they were close. Well not only was it convenient the drive was country side and so amazing. I wish I could post onto this review my photos. Julie and Stephen left such tasteful personal touches and decorated up the room for Christmas. We were so comfortable and cozy. I recommend booking here. I see why they book up quickly!

This is a darling apartment - crisp, clean, very comfortable and appointed nicely. We especially appreciated all the attention to detail in providing yummy, healthy snacks (yogurt, protein bars/drinks, teas, coffee, creamer, oatmeal); eco-friendly brands of soap, shampoo, conditioner; and thoughtful instructions for the home. This will definitely be our go-to "home-away-from-home" when visiting family in Mt. Vernon!

So comfortable, so convenient and a great price. Always extremely clean and well stocked with coffee, yogurt, snack bars and fresh, fluffy towels. Very comfortable beds. One softer and one a bit firmer to suite a variety. I'll be staying there again in the near future.

Elephant Hill was the perfect place for our girls weekend to attend a workshop at Dakota Pastels (only 7minutes away). The location was quiet, clean and lovely. The pictures don’t do it justice. I wanted to go home and redo my basement for my own enjoyment. I would recommend it to others and return to it again.

Spotless. Easy location, entry, turn-key...and, what impressed us the most were the thoughtful inclusion of microwave popcorn, yogurt & half 'n half, and the like in the refrigerator.

We had a lovely stay at Elephant Hill. The space is very inviting, very clean and very comfortable. If you have very active small children, the space is a little small and too nicely decorated. If you don't have very active small children, it's perfect.

The home is in a great location. It felt very quiet and safe. It's cozy, but it was big enough for the two of us. The host was very quick to respond to issues. The appliances were very nice. There was enough dishware to make our stay pleasant. Stocked with coffee and tea, and it was greatly appreciated. Just minutes from Burlington shopping. We would stay there again.

My wife and I rented Marie’s cottage while visiting family. The cottage was in a perfect location for us and was a nice retreat after busy days visiting family. It was quiet and well equipped to meet our needs. We were very impressed by the use of the space in the cottage and it’s very clear they care about the maintenance and appearance of the cottage. The place is nice and clean

A neat little loft apartment! Stylish architecture in the wall designs. Perfect for a jumping off point for a stay in Mount Vernon.

This loft is very clean and exactly as described. Kat is very responsive and kind. The bed was comfortable and the train noises didn’t bother me at all! There were earplugs in case you want them. There was shampoo, conditioner, soap, and a blow dryer in the bathroom. In the kitchenette, there was coffee, tea, and oatmeal, with creamers, margarine, and condiments in the fridge. The only thing I missed was a closet to hang clothes, but there were a few hangers with hooks. Very comfortable. I highly recommend!

Kat's guest suite is spacious, private and super-clean. It's in a good location too. The train wasn't a problem because I sleep with earplugs and my husband sleeps through anything!

Very cozy space

It was a nice space. Very clean. It’s a loft above the garage, but still quite spacious. There is a dining area, lounge area, kitchenette, 3/4 bath, and sleeping area. The hosts were great and provided a number of accommodations for our toddler: a pack-n-Play, booster chair, some kids books and toys. I would stay here again.

Very clean, much better than expected.

This was a great bastion for exploring the Skagit valley. It's approximately half way between the mountains and the coast. It's also only an hour from the airport (without traffic), with easy access from the interstate. We only stayed here long enough to crash each night, but it worked great for that.

My weekend stay at Anita’s place was great. I loved the Old Hollywood theme. It was a movie lover’s dream. The apartment was clean and had a nice smell, the bed was comfortable, and I loved the recliners and fireplace heaters. Anita and her husband were very friendly and even stocked the cabinets and fridge with food and snacks. I would definitely stay here again.

I’ve only stayed at a handful of bnb’s but Anita was the kindest and most hospitable host. I appreciated how much amenities were offered and her space was so cozy. We accidentally overslept because the basement was dark and the bed was so comfortable it swallowed us up! She was very understanding, which was a major relief. Something I ABSOLUTELY loved was the brushed Cotten sheets, that touch is appreciated and doesn’t go unnoticed. Would love to stay again in the future.

This stay is exactly what is described: a little bit of home. I recommend it for movie buffs, as Anita provides a movie-theater environment with movie paraphernalia on the walls, a huge television, and a large selection of DVDs to watch. The kitchenette is well stocked and the recliners were so comfortable I napped in one. I appreciated Anita’s great communication as well.

Overall a great stay! Everything you need. Would definitely recommend especially if you need to stay in the Mount. Vernon area.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Brian and Jennifer’s vacation home. It has a stunning view of the lake and is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed all the amenities, particularly the hot tub and ping pong table. The hosts responded promptly to email and were very nice to deal with. We’d love to come back sometime in the summer to also make good use of the beautiful outside terrace and the lake.

We loved our winter honeymoon stay in such a warm and inviting little house! This was a perfect location for watching the winter birds and the horses across the street. The house is full of beautiful touches and has everything you might need. We highly recommend our wonderful host, Roslyn, and this beautiful location.

Absolute amazing spot and Roslyn really went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Fun to walk around the farm and our 2 yr old loved the animals in the area.

The house is super clean, comfortable, and well-stocked - everything in it feels brand new! Roslyn is really friendly and makes the checkin process easy. You’re able to wander around the farm and pick what you like, which is a really fun experience. This was my second time staying and I wish I could’ve stayed longer!

I don’t know where to start. Spectacular stay w first class touches. The interior is brilliant and there’s everything you need there. Grocery store w in minutes. The ability to walk the farm and be invited to help or take what you’d like is part of the brilliance. Do yourself a favor and book this place. And btw, one great touch, no tv!!

Roslyn is so lovely, kind and welcoming. The farmhouse cottage was DREAMY with beautiful flower arrangements throughout. We felt so at home and cozy during our stay and especially loved walking around the farm and picking a pumpkin!

This was our first experience with Airbnb. First, the pictures don't do justice to the unit. It is quite roomy and very comfortable. We couldn't figure out where the huge desk is from the picture, but it is in one end of the living room. The kitchen is well stocked. I really appreciate that there are a lot of nooks and crannies and shelves for storage, and a small walk-in closet in the bedroom--we are planning to stay there for at least two months this spring, so we'll have a lot of stuff! The bed and couch (huge) are very comfortable, the TV is huge, the piano is tuned, and the lakefront is just about 10 yards from the front door. The hot tube is literally at the edge of the lake. The full-sized washer and dryer are right in the unit. The whole place is quiet and pleasant and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. And Jacquelline is super nice (haven't met Steve yet).

Lovely place! Peaceful view right by the water. Watching birds during the day, even tho cold! The apartment is charming and lovingly decorated and so very well equipped with all necessities. Our first visit to the area and we hope to visit again!

Very quiet. Hot tub was excellent. Room has an individual heater which was great, just a little noisy, not much. Washroom was clean. Kitchen was fine and we'll equipped. Great TV with nice sound system. Used the peddle boat which was a bonus. You need two people to move to the water. I would definitely come back here.

A beautiful setting right on the lake (literally). Walk out the front door, and in 10 steps you are on the dock, ready to fish, kayak, watch the egrets and ducks, slide down the slide or sunbathe on the extensive dock. A great place for a family with young kids or a romantic place for a couple (hot tub and fire pit). The king bed was super comfortable and the place has everything you need. Jacqueline was a great host - very responsive and helpful but also gave us privacy. Would love to stay again.

The Eagles Nest is the most comfortable stay I have ever been to. The room is super clean, stylish, and made me feel right at home! I would live there if I could!

Susie has a well prepared private place located to enjoy the Skagit Valley from. Convenient, quiet, good location, very nice accomodations. New good sized studio. Really good value.

This was the perfect stop for my family. We just needed a place for the night not to far from the highway and Susie’s place was perfect. There was room in the morning to let my dog have a run and my son was pretty excited he got to see horses. I would recommend this place to anyone.

The condo was a perfect place for some family I had coming into town this week. Rick gave very clear instructions to find the place and check in. The space is well kept and modern; very clean. The views were beautiful at sunset off to the West from the master suite and living room. My family and I will be using this space again in the future.

Stayed here for a guy’s weekend and had a great time. House is beautiful and right on the water with amazing views. Location is very remote so be sure you plan ahead. About a 20 minute drive to a small general store and 30 minutes to anything else. I’d love to stay there again!

This lake house if very nice. The pictures are very accurate. The kayaks came in handy when wanting to explore the lake. Fair warning the driveway can be a little steep I recommend AWD cars when staying at this place during the winter season. Zenny was an amazing host!

Zeeny's spot was great - right on the lake, with great views of the lake and surrounding mountains. It comfortably slept 18 of us (and we could've fit a few more in), and Zeeny was quick to message us when we needed help figuring out how to flip the circuit breaker. All in all, a really wonderful place and host.

We booked Zeeny’s place to hold a family gathering. Zeeny responded quickly and helped me get set up same day. Some of us came in from California to spend time with our Washington family. This beautiful, secluded, very relaxing place was perfect for a family vacation. The entire place was well accommodated, very clean, and fit so many people! One of my favorite things about the home was the downstairs. Our teenagers and younger children loved the slumber party feel. We couldn’t hear them from the upper level. Even though it was 40 degrees we still used the kayaks. Having a smart tv & hot tub was a huge plus. We highly recommend Zeenys place! We are excited to turn this family gathering into a annual meeting up! Thank you!

My family had a fantastic stay and really appreciated the thoughtful staples and treats Bernie left for us. One of my favorite things was the firelight display mounted on the bedroom wall. It provided a beautiful flickering version of firelight, and doubled as a space heater (though I didn’t need any extra heat!). The extra air mattress we requested was super comfortable all night with no adjustments needed by us. Everything we asked for Bernie provided in record time. It's clear the whole space has had a lot of love and care going into the design and details--it was a lovely place for us to relax while we visited the area. We'll come again if we can!

Bernadet was simply awesome in accommodating my Ragnar Relay Team for just a few hours in between our race legs. She was extremely responsive with communicating check in details, drive times, etc. she provided extra towels, snacks, and air mattresses so that the team could recharge before our night runs. It was the perfect R&R we needed. :)

Loren was very responsive to my messages as well as proactive with communicating updates and details with us. The home is an idyllic sanctuary on Lake Cavanaugh and we were very comfortable during our stay. Loren gave us a heads up about the steep gravel driveway before we arrived and I definitely recommend parking on the street if your car doesn't have AWD or 4WD. This spacious cabin has plenty of personality. From the stone fireplace, the bear and raccoon totem pole, to the living space pool table. The kitchen has all the comforts of home, making cooking a joy. Our late September stay was quiet. We never saw next door neighbors. The beach was the best part, though for non-swimmers it gets deep quickly. Generously, Loren allows use not only of life jackets and inner tubes, but two kayaks to explore the nearby islands and the entire lake. I swam daily, and didn’t have trouble with boats as there weren’t more than 5 while I was out there. They kept their distance, perhaps because I wear a visible orange float behind me. We enjoyed the games and the home theater once it got dark out. This house it set up for family fun, and fun we very much had! We had to do a bit of work so WiFi was a huge plus.

Great house, and beautiful spot! The house itself is lovely, and super quiet. A pool table inside was a great additional for our kids, and I appreciated that the kitchen had everything you would want to prepare meals (including sharp knives and heavy pots...often lacking in our experience). The lake and dock were lovely, with spectacular views. There are adjacent cabins, but the beach, deck, and dock are very private (as is the cabin itself). It's south facing so there was sun all day. The few questions we had were answered immediately. We had a really fantastic time, and would recommend this property.

Loren is an exceptional host offering the perfect PNW experience. We felt like we were totally ‘back to nature’ but without giving up any of the comforts and conveniences of the city. The cabin is very spacious and the views are truly stunning so being inside or outside at this property is equally wonderful. It’s the number one choice of our whole family every summer!

This cabin is perfectly situated for a chill weekend (or longer) at Lake Cavanaugh. Loren was a gracious host, very responsive, and offers a very cool space. The kitchen is nicely stocked and the outdoor dock space was a perfect setting for outdoor dining lakeside. The scenery of Lake Cavanaugh completes this lovely spot for getaway from the hustle and bustle.

This is the ideal home for friends and family who want to get away from the predictability of city life. We were wowed by the views everyday and the home was filled with every amenity we could imagine. The lakefront was brilliant and host Loren is super responsive, accommodating and hospitable!

This is a charming little cottage. It's spotless and has everything you need for a comfy stay. The bathroom is spacious and updated. The kitchen is well appointed, and the bed is very comfortable. Kelly has furnished the cottage with lots of fun antiques. If you are a birder, this is a fabulous location to watch the Snow Geese migration and many bald eagles. Kelly was very welcoming and friendly. I recommend this lovely cottage.

Kelly's place is quiet, private and relaxing. The full kitchen was so nice to be able to store food and cook meals at night after a long day of class. The Keurig coffee maker was nice, but I would love to see a reusable K-Cup for ground coffee. The pots and pans were great, dishes and silverware were ample. There were only two small knives in the cottage. I would love to see some more for chopping, etc. The full size washer dryer are wonderful. The bathroom is very well stocked with nice, fluffy towels, extra toilet paper and very clean and organized. The queen bed was very comfortable, but I removed the loud plastic mattress cover, as I move a lot in my sleep and it was noisy. A ceiling fan in the sleeping loft would be a great addition. The sleeping areas are open without any doors...which wasn't an issues for us, but just an fyi. Kelly being on site in her private home was so helpful to just contact her to ask for some little extra Ineeded while there for school. I'd recommend this cozy cottage to anyone who's looking for a peaceful, relaxing get away for a quiet study space. Weak knees may be an issue with the stairs to the at night to and from the restroom. ;)

This cottage is really really lovely. Super stylish and clean, and all amenities you could need during your stay. The space is really well laid out and Kelly has thought of everything to make your stay nice. Communication with Kelly was excellent. I would definitely stay here again!

We loved staying at Kelly's cottage. The location was perfect for what we needed, the place was sparkling clean, and Kelly was always quick to respond or answer any questions we had prior to the trip/during the stay. If we go back to this area, we'd stay again without a doubt.

My husband and I were attending a wedding nearby and chose this Country Cottage for our stay. First of all, the cottage was absolutely immaculate! Kelly has thought of everything from the amenities to the cute farmhouse decor. It was very quiet and relaxing with fabulous scenery. The owners live on site, so they are there if you need them, but are by no means intrusive. Our stay was fantastic and I highly recommend it!

Kelly made our Mother-Daughter outing to the region even more special. Her country cottage is exactly as advertised and even more. Unfortunately my daughter was stricken with a bout of food poisoning shortly before we arrived and Kelly made sure we had everything and anything we needed. As my daughter stated, "the bathroom was spotless!" -an important quality when sick. :).

This tiny home is so perfect for my husband and me! We loved the way Kelly has put everything together and her decorating style is perfect here. We were so comfortable and enjoyed the added touches along with delicious coffee! Perfect for discovering the area and picturesque in every way! We hope to return here again one day and wouldn’t change a single thing! :0) Thanks again Kelly!

My husband and I loved our stay here — the place was even more comfortable and nice than we expected, with some really cute vintage touches. It felt quite spacious and was perfect for visiting Anacortes. The area is quite peaceful and rural — a great getaway from the city. Kelly and Garry helped us check in and were very pleasant and gracious.

A peaceful, simple place to stay right on the main strip of the village of Mount Vernon. Steve will really take care of you and all your concerns and is an excellent communicator. The price is very affordable, there is a fridge, microwave and basic morning tea and coffee needs met. During busier times, perhaps the shared shower and bathroom would be trickier to navigate successfully, but all year round the most amazing tree in town is your neighbor, right there in the yard.

Hands down the best host! I cannot say enough good things about the accomodations, Steve is detail oriented, an excellent communicator, 10/10

Kay is such a fabulous host. She is incredibly kind and thoughtful, and her house is lovely! Conveniently located off of the highway, it is easy to get to. The bedroom is private with a half bath upstairs and a shared full bath downstairs. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable! Loved staying here and I highly recommend it!

Kay's place is beautiful and peaceful! It is a wonderful and welcoming place on my travels up and down I5. I especially appreciated a good cup of coffee and cereal in the morning!

I was grateful to find a very warm and friendly house that also included wonderful dogs and cats. I loved coming home to the two dogs, and this place is best suited to people who really like dogs. I will definitely stay here again!

This was a great place to stay! I was on a business trip and needed something with decent internet and close to the freeway. The room and home were both clean and comfortable. Jeanne, the host, was very accommodating and quick to respond. I would definitely stay here again.

Couldn't really ask for a better stay in Mount Vernon. Jeanne was not only very welcoming and accommodating in her wonderful space, but continuously helpful with timely tips. Her doggies are super sweet. Everything was very comfortable and convenient, and I look forward to future visits with Jeanne in Mount Vernon.

Cute, comfortable quit place to stay. Very clean and nicely decorated. Bathroom upstairs is a little quirky (especially at 4 am), but I thought of it as forced exercise.

Very nice decor and personal touches. Accommodating. I love everything about it except for the inconvenience of the no bathroom down stairs. Highly recommended.

The place was very cool - lots of family artifacts made it very homey, great living spaces, the back lawn could host a sporting event, and the view of the sunsets was amazing. Also less than a 10min drive to Skagit River Park.

Brian’s guest house is flawless. Comfortable bed, fun decor, awesome deck, everything you could need. We unfortunately only spent the night, so we didn’t have a chance to enjoy everything the space had to offer, but we really wish we had! If you’re thinking of staying here (like we did) on your way to the San Juan islands, you should consider scheduling a couple of extra days here—you’ll be glad you did!

Brian’s place was clean and fairly close to the rest of Mt Vernon. It’s a great place to get out of the city and enjoy some peace and quiet!

Cozy & comfy spot with a small yoga studio next to the bedroom. Very clean & modern bathroom. No tv or stove. Wifi is hidden which was a 1st for me but I figured it out. Easy directions & access, would definitely repeat!

This apartment was perfect for our one-nighter in Mount Vernon and we'd stay here again. Lots of amenities, lots of space, and a comfy bed! Melanie was a quick communicator!

We never met Melanie, but no worries, she had perfect check-in instructions. The room was very inviting, super clean, crispy sheets and own personal bathroom with an attached yoga studio. Great value. Definitely would stay again.

Our stay at Don’s cabin was so perfect and memorable. We wanted to explore the area generally and spot birds specifically. We really didn’t even need to leave the porch for birds. Plenty of trumpeter swans, eagles and snow geese right off the deck! The space is very comfortable, clean and has such fun decor. All your dining and exploring suggestions were perfect. Nestled in beautiful Skagit farmland, Don's cottage has great views of the surrounding fields, which at this time of year were full of trumpeter swans and a few eagles too. The cabin is as cozy as can be, and we could have spent the entire time curled up watching the birds in the fields and the ones happily feasting at all the surrounding the deck. We enjoyed exploring nearby La Conner and Edison--and found some great food, thanks to Don's tips. Also really loved walking along the dike across from the cabin--beautiful views of the Skagit River.

This cabin is so charming with a manly touch. Loved all the antique touches, great layout, wide view of the abundant bird life, and ample snacks at arrival was appreciated. Country living at its finest. Don is a great host.

This cabin is even more wonderful then the photos. You won’t believe the view if you are there on a sunny day and you just might get to see the Snow Geese and Swans right outside your window or off the deck. Don thought of everything. Surprise treats on the counter and in the refrigerator. You don’t need to bring robes, books, games, coffee, throws, shampoo,shower soap. Everything is there. I’m going back more so leave me a weekend please.
