  • We went to stay at Laura’s gorgeous romantic little cottage for a second time - so homely with all the amenities and extras we could want. The hot tub is amazing with great views and plenty of good walks nearby. We’ve been discussing a third visit already!

    Susannah2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I booked this property for a cosy weekend away and we were delighted with our time there. The hospitality on arrival was brilliant, from the prosecco, to the fresh bread and all the local tips. The facilities were great and the location and hot tub are exactly what we were looking for. We both couldn't recommend this enough and would definitely coming back in the future!

    Stephen2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Superb accommodation, host, amenities etc etc, couldn’t ask for more! We couldn’t believe all the little extras, it really made our stay extra special. We have a 10 month old baby and Laura provided everything we could possibly need. It made life that little bit more stress free! The highlight of the trip was the hot tub though, incredible. Despite the minus temperatures and howling winds outside, the covered hot tub was just glorious after a days adventuring in the beautiful surroundings. First class. Thank you Laura!

    Nyall2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really lovely relaxing few days at this little gem of a cottage. So cozy and lots of added thoughtful surprises! The bed was so comfy and we loved the hot tub. Thanks so much Laura!

  • Laura is an amazing host, very responsive and she made us feel very welcomed. Upon arrival we were greeted with freshly baked bread and a ready outdoor hot bath tub. The cottage is a true gem with lots of little touches and amazing outdoor hot tub that is available at all time. Laura gave us a lot of helpful advices and suggested a lot of places to visit in Keith and the areas around the village. Generally, we had a really amazing stay and I definitely recommend this place for an nice and tranquil getaway! Thanks again Laura

    Anna2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place is fantastic! The cottage itself has everything you need for a chilled out weekend and combined with the hot tub in the garden - you can't not enjoy yourself! Laura, as a host, was fantastic. Very quick to respond to messages and was there to greet us when we arrived. There are so many nice little touches in the cottage from the stocked fridge and snacks to the home made bread upon arrival. My wife and I have stayed in quite a few Airbnbs throughout the years and this is up there with the best experiences we've had. Highly recommend!

    Adam2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for peace and quiet, no background noise so can really enjoy the silence and the hot tub is great to enjoy in all weather conditions.

  • Mansfield Cottage was excellent for our one-night stay, a base from which to explore parts of the Whisky Trail. Everything was just as described, comfortable and exceptionally clean. All communication with Gill has been really welcoming since our first enquiry, wth great directions and the welcome offer of earlier check-in. I just wish our stay was longer! I highly recommend to those visiting the area for the Whisky Trail or a family holiday.

  • This is a beautiful cottage along the whiskey trail. The location was perfect for us and just a short drive or taxi ride away from a town with restaurants and supermarkets. The fireplace was great for the chilly night!

    Matt2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for visiting Macallan, Glenfiddich etc. Local taxi company took us around for a fair price as well. Cottage was spotless and great value for money. Gill was kind enough to allow us to checkin early and checkout late. We would definitely recommend to friends and family coming here for the Whisky Trail as well

Hi, this is a super little self contained 2 bedroom cottage. it is within my private garden which is 6 Acres total, and includes a courtyard knot garden and a full-size maze. The Garden only opens once a year - (but not this year we are having a rest.) Please be aware to access the cottage you must use a 20m lose stone path therefore it is not suitable for disabled access and is a bit tricky if you have a heavy suitcase and rely on the wheels.
The cottage is set in a 6 acre acclaimed garden. it has 2 good sized bedrooms with standard double beds. A separate bathroom which has bath/shower. The living room is also a dining room and the cottage kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and has a small rayburn which is used for most cooking and for heating the hot water. There is also wi fi available at the cottage along with digital freeview wall mounted tv
There isn't a neighbourhood, the property is set in the countryside. Our nearest village is a 5 minute drive away from the property - Cullen - which has 2 wee shops for food, antique shops galore. 3 takeaways (Indian, Chinese and fish and chips) cafes and 2 wonderful beaches
  • Such a beautiful place to stay. Great hospitality, very clean and stunning location. A few breakables around if you have young children, but easy enough to move out of the way.

  • A beautiful cottage in a lovely, rural location. The cottage is well equipped and very clean, with everything you need. The property is cosy and comfortable. Our hosts were very helpful and made the whole stay run smoothly.

    Lesley2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Super, cosy cottage in an outstanding location with all the amenities you need for a relaxing comfortable stay. Warm welcome from the hosts

    Gina2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 5 nights at Cherie and Tom’s, as we explored Scotland (tourists from Australia) in a hire car. Great communication from Cherie leading up to our booking, particularly with instructions as to how to find it (she even sent a photo of the gate, so we'd recognise it!). It wasn’t hard to find it, by the way. Cherie was also very responsive to us when we were actually there too - eg, previous tenants had jammed the coffee pod machine and Cherie replaced it the same day. We had a chat to her when we met in their magnificent and massive garden. Nice to have secure off-street-parking. Cute décor throughout the cottage. Power shower never seemed to run out of hot water. The Rayburn in the kitchen was always toasty warm, making drying (the kitchen has a washing machine, which got quite a work out!) on the clothes horse just an overnight affair. Cherie gave us Scottish fudge (all eaten), Scottish shortbread (all eaten), juice, bread, butter, and milk, coffee, tea, sugar, cereal … shampoos, soaps, etc. A big help. The bed was comfy and we warmed our towels in the kitchen overnight ready for a shower in the morning. Wifi and TV too. A wonderful stay thanks!

  • We really recommend The Wee Hoose to everyone who wants to exploring around Cairngorms national park!! It’s a really lovely home with everything you need!! We loved the surrounding, we actually lived in a working farm!!! How amazing is that!! Communication was great from start to finish and Dianne even came out to fetch us as we accidentally went to one of their neighbours. We were staying over Christmas and Dianne got The Wee Hoose decorated with Christmas tree, lights, Christmassy curtains, a pot of Poinsettia and some Christmas chocolates!! It was so Christmassy even we were away from home. There are plenty of choice of breakfast, porridge, cereal, bread with jams & butter and juice or you can cook your breakfast with a fully equipped kitchen! Thank you Dianne & James for a lovely stay, we will definitely come back in the future if we come back to the area. X

HI, Suzanne & Chris welcome you to the Log Inn. The log cabin was built by ourselves out of our trees on our premises, and is situated 5 miles out Keith in rural Banffshire.
The cabin is a bit quirky, with a warm atmosphere. It has lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The property is entered from the decking, into the open plan living area on the ground floor. Which contains, kitchen, shower room and seating. Up the steeper than normal stairs, you enter the open plan bedroom and seating area with splendid views out of the window. We have our own spring water which we drink, but we will supply bottled water for drinking. The property is heated by a woodburner, and electric heaters. Wood will be supplied for free. Set in our grounds, it has its own space around it with parking. One well behaved pet is welcome. Dog walking is available in the Sillyearn woods behind our porperty. The roads are quiet for cycling too.
There is plenty to see and do in our area, for nature lovers, cyclist and walkers alike. We are near the Whiskey trail, Moray Firth coast with its dolphins. Also the the NE 250 Route. Aberdeen, Inverness and Aviemore are 50 miles away, which all provide plenty to do. Forbes Arms hotel, Rothiemay is about 3 miles from us and has an excellent lunch & evening menu.
  • Our stay was absolutely lovely! Were given plenty of wood for the burner which was great to sit by while it was horrible weather outside! The space is lovely and everything there needed for a stay away somewhere nice! Suzanne was great at keeping in touch before and during the stay and had the wood burner going for our arrival. Would recommend and will hopefully stay again in the near future.

    Annie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Idealic! Such a wonderful and homely little getaway. Super cosy and had everything you could have wanted in there. Outstanding features and little homely touches. The view is incredible and the fire was wonderful to sit beside of an evening. Thank you again for having us!

    Yasmine2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely lovely place, can't wait to stay again!

    Hana2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Amazingly cozy once you've got the fire going. Suzanne and Chris are very friendly and welcoming, even offering to put the fire on in advance. Would highly recommend this cabin for anyone wanting a quiet getaway.

    Connall2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay from start to finish. Simple check in process and location was easy to find (by car), Suzanne met us outside the property and showed us around. The cabin itself was even better (and bigger) than we expected and it was so beautiful from the outside as well as inside. The log fire was a lovely addition to our stay, and there were so many thoughtful touches in the cabin that made it extra special. The cooking facilities were also excellent. Would definitely stay here again!

    Chelsea2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fantastic hosts and an awesome log cabin! Stayed over Christmas week as a quiet retreat. What a treat! They messaged us the day before confirming our arrival time so they can set up the fire for us which really seemed above and beyond. Upon arrival see that they’ve literally decked the cabin with bells and holly(along with tinsel and fairy lights) and left us a few wee gifts! They were so lovely and topped up our firewood every morning! Firewood could have easily cost us £40 if we’d been buying it from the shop but from them it’s given freely. 15 minutes drive takes you to Keith or Huntly both have big Tesco’s or an ASDA so easy to get stocked with provisions. Hosts were great in terms of walking and eating recommendations and have even built their own woodland walk! A truest fantastic experience! * tall person note: one of us is 6’4/191cm and found the cabin super comfy.

    Rachel2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for a break away to relax. Quiet location with nice view of the countryside. Loved the wood burner to keep the place cosy and warm. Very friendly hosts who went above and beyond to help us out with any issues and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely stay again.

The town of Keith gets its name from the Gaelic “Gaoith” meaning “wind” or “very pure air” - its motto is "The Friendly Town" and its is home to around 5000 friendly folks, as well as the oldest working distillery in the Highlands! With its delightful selection of quaint independent shops on Mid Street, as well as along the A96 at Keith Fife; the town also provides a good selection of restaurants offering traditional Scottish fare as well as other specialist eateries (including Indian and Chinese). You'll find numerous specialist arts and crafts shops selling the original work of local artists. Britain's most northerly heritage railway operates between Keith and Dufftown which is known as the malt whisky capital of the world, during the months of April to September on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. The town's central location offers first class connections to the beautiful Moray Firth coastline with its stunning beaches and at certain times of the year, the chance to witness in person the Majestic and Heavenly Northern Lights. The Scottish Dolphin Centre is located close by at Spey Bay; the Cairngorms National Park is just a short drive away as is the Scottish winter ski resorts of Aviemore and The Lecht (approx. 1 hour)
  • Beautiful cottage, lots of lovely touches throughout and a huge welcome basket on arrival with local treats and a bottle of bubbles. Laura is a great host and super easy to communicate with. We will be back!

  • Laura’s cottage was absolutely perfect. She went above and beyond to make us a feel at home. The place is super cute . We loved eating (plus maybe a small dram) while playing games in the sunroom.

  • It was the best cottage we could find for our stay in scotland with our young boy! Kind, cozy, suitable for childs... with the unique scotland charm!

  • Lovely quirky wee cottage, would definitely stay again.

  • My whole family loved Laura’s place. It’s one of the most thoughtful and charming Airbnb’s that we’ve ever stayed in. We were all very sad to leave. It’s right in the middle of town and in walking distance to markets, butchers, parks, and distilleries. it had more than enough for our needs and we’d come back in a heartbeat!

    Jeremy2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Nae View cottage is a gem and Laura was a super host leaving us an amazing gift basket of goodies! Its a beautiful place and has a great kitchen and dining area. Easy to walk all over the town of Keith and we were able to visit the kilt school there where they make kilts! Wonderful visit.

    Laura2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Stephen's place for just one night as we were going to a wedding in the area and it was perfect for what we needed. The best thing was Stephen's communication and hospitality. If you are staying longer there is a guide in the room with loads of tips for things to do in the area. The house is very central but not noisy at all. Overall thoroughly recommended.

  • From the time we made our booking to the time we checked out, Laura was very responsive to requests and questions. The place was in immaculate condition, very clean, and close to everything (groceries, cafe, shops, walking trails, the library, bank machine). We took the train from Edinburgh and thoroughly enjoyed the 20-minute walk from the train station (though a taxi is available from the station and, if we'd travelled by car, there was space to park a car at the house). The beds were very comfortable and the location quiet. I highly recommend Laura and Lesley's place, and will be suggesting it to friends.

The rooms were all absolutely spotless and he was a very attentive host, making sure we were warm enough and if we needed help with getting around the local area. It had snowed overnight a light dusting, and Gareth offered to help clear the car and tow us out if need be. An overall amazing host, and a fantastic place to visit. Heide is a lovely room with one double bed and an amazing wardrobe! Kirkton House is a listed 10 bedroom Manse, set in mature walled gardens & woodland with stunning views to open countryside in the peaceful hamlet of Cairnie, Huntly just off A96. A perfect location to explore the Scottish Highlands with easy access to wonderful beaches and the UK's largest National Park The Cairngorms. We are currently transforming Kirkton House into a Health and Wellbeing Retreat.
Category B Listed building on the edge of the Forest with 8.5 acres of woodlands, ponds and river. Lots of birds, deer, rabbits, pheasants and more, great for wildlife enthusiasts. We have volunteers staying with us some of the time helping with the garden and work around the house and have 5 Air BnB rooms available in total. Rooms are listed as Kirkton House (Eala room) with one double bed & one single bed, Kirkton House (Eilid room) with one double and 2 single beds and Kirkton House (Iolair room) with one double and one single bed and own private sink. We offer a self-serve breakfast with tea and coffee, cereals, milk, toast and jams in our large kitchen until 10am.
Amazing forest with lots of walks and cycle paths close to the house. We are not far from the A96 so accessible by public transport but once you get to Kirkton House you will feel that you are miles from anywhere, we are right next to the no longer used St Mary's Church which is also the site of an original Norman Church and still has the old stonework in the Church Grounds.
  • What a fantastic place to stay. A friend and I stayed for two nights as we were through for a wedding. The location is incredible with beautiful views allowing you to feel the benefits of being tucked away whilst being so close to Huntly for any amenities. Beth and Mike were so lovely and accommodating and provided us with local tips such as places to eat and booking taxis, which proved very helpful. The house itself is beautiful with great facilities. As others have mentioned in their reviews, the shower is indeed amazing! Very powerful! They provide all other facilities that you could ever need and had the perfect balance of being available and providing help when needed but also just leaving you to it to enjoy your stay. We couldn’t recommend this highly enough! Thank you again! ☺️

Welcome to Botriphnie Stables nestled in the beautiful, rural countryside of Drummuir, a lovely village on the whisky trail just 5 miles from Dufftown in one direction and 5 miles from Keith in the other. In either town you can find distilleries to visit, restaurants, shops and much more. There is plenty of parking and an abundance of wildlife. With long walks and Drummuir Castle is next door!
The Dufftown to Keith train stops just a few minutes walk from us. The Cairngorm National Park is just on our doorstep with the Lech Skiing resort a short drive away.

  • Beautiful house, warm welcome, comfy beds, breakfast whenever you want it, sparkling clean and friendly to boot. What's not to like? My only reservation about saying just how great a place Kirkton House is to stay is that so many other people will want to go there that it will be more difficult for me to book return visits.

  • My initial impression was that the listing was too good to me true. I was sceptical about what I may find. From arriving at Kirkton House I was blown away. The setting is fabulous. The house itself is incredible with its large spacious rooms, and great amenities. I was unfortunately working whilst staying here, but I cannot fault anything about it. Jane was very welcoming and lovely. I have stayed in accomodation before where I felt I was in the way. That was the exact opposite of how I felt here. I would have given more than 5 stars if I could. Will definitely use this accomodation any time J am in the area, and highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet stay, but still within only a few miles of several towns.

  • It's amazing staying at Rachel's place. Right from the beginning the communication was prompt. The place is perfect and even little things were taken care in advance which makes the stay more special. Will definitely come back again (in summer though😀)

  • A group of 6 of us came and stayed in the lodge for new years eve and had a lovely time. The place was really spacious and heated up really well. Rachel was very accommodating to our needs. We visited cullen beach which is only 15 min drive away with spectacular views. The lodge is great value for money and an excellent location.

    James2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and comfortable lodge that is very accommodating for dogs. Great views over the Moray Firth.

    James2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Myself, my partner & our little dog stayed at Rachel’s lodge and it was amazing, it far exceeded our expectations. Rachel had clearly thought of everything and there were loads of nice little touches (a loaf of bread, jam, milk & cookies!) as well as dog treats and a dog blanket. The area is so rural and quiet with plenty of walks. The lodge was spotlessly clean and a real cosy decor. Would definitely recommend and will return again! 10/10

  • The home is spacious, clean, and informal. It has a bit of a hostel feel, all spaces are shared except for the large and airy bedrooms. Regardless, all communal areas were kept clean and tidy. The beds were very comfortable! My children loved the chickens, ducks, sheep, and cows that were part of the property but away from the main house. Everyone we met were kind and helpful, from hosts to guests. We would definitely stay again!

There is a private track up to the house, and a lovely large garden, with fields and woodland surrounding the house. A very special place to stay.

  • Leon and Mary are kind and helpful hosts - as hands off or on as you’d want. We felt well looked after but also very independent. It’s a lovely location really peaceful but an easy drive to all Moray, Aberdeenshire and the Cairngorms. The location is off the beaten path but only just - less than 5 minutes from an A road but no noise. The house is comfortable and very well equipped for self catering.

Just a 2 minute drive from the picturesque village of Craigellachie, The Pines is set high on a hillside with spectacular panoramic views of Ben Rinnes and the Spey Valley. It is the perfect base for exploring Speyside, whether you are here for the whisky, the fishing, the walking or just want to relax. The beautiful Moray Coast is less than 30mins drive away. Aberdeen is 1.5hrs drive and Inverness just over 1 hour. There is so much to do and see here - you will be spoiled for choice!
You will be staying in our self-catering studio apartment which, although attached to the house, is completely self-contained and has its own entrance via patio doors to the front. Beds can be configured as two singles or one Super-King. Please let me know which you would prefer. The kitchen area is well equipped, with a good sized fridge, microwave, table top one ring induction hob/stove, kettle and toaster, pans, dishes etc. If you need something that's not there - just ask!
Literally on the doorstep is a most beautiful walk along the quiet road as it winds its way up towards Ben Aigan. There are magnificent views towards Aberlour and Dufftown. The peace and quiet - and the chance to spot wild deer in Spring/Summer - makes this a very pleasant stroll in the evening. Craigellachie's most famous landmark is the Telford Bridge and it is well worth visiting. Have a wander down to the beach under the bridge and take a stroll along the river bank. You can walk from Craigellachie along the Speyside Way to Aberlour (2miles) where there are many interesting shops, galleries and eating places. The Dufftown Spur of the Speyside Way follows the River Fiddich. It is approx 4 miles long and passes the delightful 1950s 'Sidings Cafe' - a cafe in a converted railway carriage and a lovely place to stop for a coffee and cake or lunch. Distilleries in the area are too numerous to mention individually here, but a visit to the Craigellache Cooperage is a must. See these highly skilled coopers at work as they make and repair whisky barrels to be sent all over the world. The Knockando Woollen Mill is another 'must see'. It is a beautifully restored traditional working mill and museum, transporting you back in time. Take a while to sit in the gardens and soak up the atmosphere. If you have time, a drive along the coast is highly recommended. There are many quaint sea-side villages and harbours, some dating back to the 17th century. Portsoy and Cullen are particularly attractive. Spey Bay is home to the Scottish Dolphin Centre. If it's golden sands you're after, then Lossiemouth is the place to go. Don't forget your camera! There is so much more to do and see in the area. Depending on how long you are staying for, George and I will be very happy to help you plan your itinerary!
  • The accommodation was excellent, a beautiful place to relax with fantastic view. We highly recommend The Pines and Linda e George, two very kind people that we are very happy to have met. We would definitely stay there again.

  • Suite: Great cozy suite in the countryside. Nice view from the front on a sunny day. Had everything we needed including cooking tools. A little bit of food for breakfast (bread and cereal) Hosts: Linda and George were really nice. They provided helpful instructions on how to find the home. They also graciously offered to drive us into town and pick us back up so we could drink at the local pub. Location: As mentioned above, the place is quite secluded and quiet. There is no official address so it may be hard for taxis or tour companies to come pick you up.

    Brad2019-10-11T00:00:00Z

I live in a stone built Victorian semi that has three floors and a (URL HIDDEN) is situated in Dufftown, famous for being the centre of malt whisky distilling in Scotland. The area has many opportunities for walking, fishing, and visiting tourist attractions such as Glenfiddich which is within walking distance. I have used Airbnb for many years myself and welcome fellow travellors to share in my home. I have two dogs which are very friendly,so well behaved dogs are also welcome.
The Anchorage is central to everything in Dufftown, from restaurants, to Ceilidhs and whisky shops.it is an ideal place to stay during whisky festivals.the Airbnb rooms are on the top floor of my house so quite set apart. There is a nice view from the main room over the hills around Dufftown.
Dufftown is a large village with several distilleries. There are two whisky festivals each year, one in May the other September. There is Scottish music and singing every Monday night in a local venue,a Ceilidh May till September on Thursday nights and country dancing on a Tuesday in the hall next door to the house. The Keith to Dufftown railway operates during Summer at the weekends. A little further afield you can reach the moray coast in approximately 40 minutes by car.Or Invernesss or Aberdeen in an hour. During July there are Highland Games around the area most Saturdays.

    Jackson2019-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • stay local and stay at Jane's. we had a wonderful stay here and would stay here again. Jane's place is centrally located in Dufftown and is a short half mile walk to Glenfiddich and Balvenie. the town is quite small so there's little to do in the evening but make sure to visit "the coffee pot" for breakfast and "stuart arms" for dinner. if you are in Dufftown on a Monday you absolutely must go to the British Legion at 8 for wonderful live Scottish folk music and great people. a memory we will cherish for a lifetime.

    Andy2019-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Ok. I m seriously not exaggerating, but I have travelled a lot, and by far this was the best place I have stayed ever. Jane is an outstanding host. She went way beyond my expectations by picking and dropping me off to the station. The house is just fabulous. And her three dogs are like icing on the cake. If ever anyone is visiting Dufftown, I guess this is the place to stay. Thanks a lot again Jane for making this trip and stay so memorable for me. Love Gaurav

As we were travelling with our 19month old we had asked if there was a cot and Pauline had provided a cot with sheets and covers, a high chair and even some toys. Everything was there to cook ourselves a nice meal, the place was sparkling clean and the bed was very comfy. Would def recommend and hoping to be back sometime.

Under the current circumstances - would you please be kind enough to contact me before considering booking. Kind regards. Bev :) x
A peaceful and tranquil stay awaits you at our secluded home - away from the hustle and bustle of life - which we would like to share with you. We are well hidden from the outside world - sitting in the peaceful countryside - but just 10 minutes from Aberlour village and the local shops. • We had a wonderful stay at Bev's! The house is on some beautiful land which you're free to walk around and explore. The guest area is comfortable and private. Bev was an amazing host! Always checked to make sure we had everything we needed and had plenty of tips for the surrounding area. We opted for the homemade soup and sandwiches for our first night and they were delicious! Breakfast was also phenomenal and the perfect start to our mornings before going out to explore. There's so much to do in the area that you definitely won't be bored. If this Airbnb is available then you should book it! Everything about it is perfect.

  • Bev is such a wonderful hostess. This was my second trip to stay, and it won't be my last. The rooms(!) are spacious and clean, and the bed is so comfy. Bev goes above and beyond to make sure you are well looked after. I can highly recommend a stay here.

  • If you spend in Speyside and you are not going to Bev, you have missed your stay! This woman and her husband have a unique welcome in the world! I made many BnB and none has the quality of it! The attention of Bev are so many (breakfast worthy of a 5 star, delicacies in the room!)! Bev makes it a point of honor that your stay is as peaceful as possible! You can eat on the floor! The cleanliness is of excellence! I have never seen such a clean place! We eat 2 nights at Bev (the meal is wonderful, a mushroom soup that I will never forget!) Trust him you can not be disappointed, it's impossible! Let's talk about his property now! There is a lake, a pond with 4 ducks which you will taste the excellent eggs every morning) you can walk there and enjoy the calm and fresh air! At the end of your stay you will only want to be called the mom! There is no word to say thank you Bev! We love you Basile, René and Rémy

  • Bev was an amazing host and the house and amenities are just absolutely fantastic. My father and I stayed here for a few nights and enjoyed the two separate rooms, an incredible view of the property (and its pond and ducks!), delicious breakfasts everyday, and stimulating conversations with the host. Bev and her family are very warm and welcoming, the two dogs Fred and Pebbles are as adorable as can be, and she gave us some solid suggestions for places to eat and drink in the area. The location is a bit off the grid, definitely follow the directions listed on the page rather than focusing on the address. Use the Google Maps link she includes separately rather than plugging in the address for the location listed (it's a shared address for all the houses on the road). Since we were in the area to drink whisky, Bev was gracious in offering us rides in and out of town and we definitely took her up on this. Unfortunately the weather was a bit rough so we weren't able to properly explore the property, but perhaps next time! Would love to stay here again if/when we return to the Speyside region!

  • The apartment is very cute and it has a separate, modern bathroom. Bev was a very kind host and we would highly recommend the apartment. Especially to those, who love the nature.

  • A gracious host who will go out of the way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We cannot recommend this place high enough. The suite was immaculately clean with every need catered for.

  • Wonderful cottage in an idyllic location, with sea views. Beautifully presented with all you could need and more. Elaine is a lovely host and could not have been more helpful. Thank you Elaine!

    Anne2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • The contact with Elaine went very smoothly. She contacted us just after the reservation via Whatsapp to confirm everything was in order and to inform us of her contactinformation. On the day of arrival we were running a bit late but this was not a problem at all. Upon arrival the fireplace was lit (very cozy) and the refridgerator was already packing some food and drinks, we did not expect this! After some introductions we were shown and walkedthrough the rest of the modern and fully equipped cottage. We had a wonderful time at the cosy cottage. The fireplace, the location (just across the beach), the hiking routes (there is a lot of nature nearby) and the friendly owner just tied it all together. Would definitely recommend!

  • Outstanding cottage!!! Elaine was great to correspond with, extremely quick at responding & meet us at the cottage to welcome us, showing us around and quickly showing us how to use all the facilities, which was brilliant. Elaine had added some really lovely personal touches to the cottage for us which was extremely thoughtful, we’re very appreciative. The cottage is absolutely stunning. It was very homely. We stayed over the New Year period and it was absolutely fantastic. We took our dogs with us and like to get away at new year as one of them struggles with fireworks. We didn’t hear a single one where the cottage was located so it was absolutely fantastic. The pictures for this cottage simply do not do it enough justice for how beautiful it is. The fire is gorgeous lit at night! Elaine has everything you’d possibly need.... Utensils, washing machine, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, bath, shower, hot water bottle, coffee machine, egg poacher... the list keeps going.... it seriously has EVERYTHING!!! Lots of towels/dish towels, toilet paper, kitchen roll! The garden is absolutely MASSIVE!!! Our dogs loved running around outside, completely secure and back door left open for them to come in and out. WiFi was brilliant, no connection issues at all. All furniture extremely comfy. Dining table was a brilliant size. I could go on and on!! We will be back to the cottage for sure, would be beautiful in the summer using the bbq.... 1 thing I must mention is the phenomenal WINE CHILLER! Amazing!!! Thanks Elaine for your amazing service, can’t wait to get another trip booked!!!

  • The reviews say it all. A lovely modernised property with all facilities and fully equipped. A fantastic hostess who takes a huge amount of trouble so that everything is perfect . For our Christmas stay the property was beautifully decorated and as others before we were really grateful for the starter pack of food and goodies after a long Sunday drive up from the south. We brought our basset who loved the huge enclosed garden and the hot stove and walks. There is loads to see and as well as some local walks we managed Inverness and Aberdeen..each about 1.5 hours away. Cant recommend highly enough.

  • A well appointed and comfortable cottage. Elaine has put a lot of thought into ensuring that guests have everything they need with lovely touches such as the fresh flowers and provisions in the fridge. We honestly couldn’t find fault with anything and were very appreciative of Elaine’s quick responses and flexibility to accommodate us at short notice. Would definitely recommend and have no hesitation in booking again in the future.

  • This is such a warm, comfortable and very well-equipped cottage that makes an ideal base for exploring the Spey / Moray area. It's clearly been modernised quite recently and had all the amenities we required after such a long drive up from south of the border. Everything was spotlessly clean, we loved the comfy beds, the modern kitchen and the warm log burning fire, and were made to feel very welcome by our host Elaine - even down to her provision of essential breakfast supplies for our first morning. HIGHLY recommended!!

    Tim2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • We came for photography all the way from Huddersfield. Elaine was great to communicate with, arrived just as house was ready. The nice touch with basics in the fridge was a great help. Was a fantastic trip only amplified by how nice the house was. The fire kicks out an huge amount of heat. All in all highly recommend this property

A lovely cosy quiet house, great for families or couples, enjoy visiting the lovely places along the coast, beautiful beaches and Harbours nearby, cycle tracks and great places to walk & explore.
Enjoy the use of the entire house, I am close by should you need to contact me, sorry but no dogs allowed due to allergies.
Buckie is a lovely seaside town, lots of lovely beaches close by, the dolphins can be spotted out in the bay. If you are into cycling try out the Moray Monster Trails, fantastic single-track mountain bike routes for beginners through to experts. It’s also a good base for visiting the whiskey distilleries & castles nearby. The Speyside Way runs from Buckie, heading south-westwards to Aviemore on the edge of the Cairngorm Mountains, a distance of approximately 65 miles. There is also a 15-mile spur to Tomintoul.
  • Fantastic place in a great central location. Had a great stay whilst a couple of us were working in the local area. Very homely with great amenities. Lovely touches with fresh bread, Milk, juice etc on arrival. Great communication and ease of access. Will stay again for sure.

  • A lovely place, that feels very homely and comfortable. Linda’s house is full of thoughtful little touches and really well stocked with everything you could need. A good supermarket is just round the corner and the location is a good base to visit Elgin Cathedral or Cairngorms National Park. The whisky trail is also not far away. We had a lovely time, would recommend this place to anyone!

    Hannah2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • An exceptionally well stocked accomodation....all our needs catered for and so cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean! Linda our host was so helpful and accessible and would highly recommend her home as a central base for exploring the beautiful Aberdeenshire coastline

    Moira2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • The house is spotless! It’s so comfortable we wanted to move in! Buckie is just gorgeous the breathtaking views of the coast and watching seals on the beach was priceless. You can throughly explore the beautiful Moray coastline or go to Inverness, and there are loads of national trust properties nearby. We went to Culloden and Brodie Castle but there are loads more and you can use NationalTrust England cards here. Always check with Linda as she full of knowledge and tips- it’s like having your own personal trip advisor. We had a lovely warm welcome and Linda provides a lot of extra things in the kitchen , milk, bread butter as well as cereals and tinned food so you don’t feel like you have to rush to the shops as soon as you get in. When travelling with children that’s a huge help. The entire house is sparking clean and I would definitely go back soon!
