This is Glamping at its best, get away from it all, in this luxury heated Sleepy Squirrel Pod, essentially self catering, modern equipped kitchen, ensuite, luxurious double bed, quality bed linen, bathrobes, towels, blackout blinds. Spend a wonderful weekend in this unique compact Pod with a woodland view + patio. Self contained, and all with key safes for self-checkin! checkout availability other two listings: Snoozy Owl Pod and Cosy Cottontail Studio Apartment.
Enjoy moonlight and star gazing in this Eco pod with all the luxury of a five star apartment! This pod is 6m x 3m and has a compact kitchen, table and chairs for cosy dining, an ensuite bathroom with a double shower, constant supply of hot running water and a mains lavatory, electric radiators, little electric stove and a heated blanket:) In the spirit of "getting away from it all " the pod does not have a TV but I do provide a radio, books and games Please note: that WiFi is available on the front porch of the pod and the surrounding areas, the signal doesn't seem to permeate the 2 layers of solid wood, layer of foil or the wool insulation. If you require full WIFI signal and SKY Catchup TV, see my other listing "King bed with Ensuite and full english breakfast" in the main Lodge. Sleeps 2 adults in a double bed, and there's enough room for another person or child on a zed bed or airbed or cot bed, this fits in at the foot of the double bed. The pod is made of larch wood, and insulated with a good layer or wool, there's also a layer of foil to keep you Cosy and warm, or cool if soaring summer temperatures need to be kept in check... But this is Yorkshire so we live in hope:)) there's a double glazed bespoke circular door and a window to the side overlooking woodland, this provides you with good natural lighting and air circulation. You will find plenty of coat hooks for walking jackets, a single wardrobe with drawers and a hairdryer. There's head height of 2.5m which gives a feeling of space, unlike the great outdoor tents. The pod is self catering, a local supermarket is just a short walk. Although, in the fridge and on the shelves you will find enough milk to make a warm drink or two, orange juice, bread/crumpets, homemade jam and marmalade, butter and a good selection of coffee, tea, biscuits and chocolates to help you relax! These are complimentary just enjoy :) There are plenty of books and a radio in the pod. The pod has a stone patio area with a table and chairs for you to have breakfast or a late night star gazing experience... Guests are asked politely not to smoke, or light candles, the structure is made entirely of wood , therefore for safety reasons naked flames are not allowed under any circumstances . For ambiance I can provide you with some LED flickering tea lights. Guests are free light candles safely on the patio or garden.
The immediate area is extremely quiet and peaceful, my home is adjacent to a woodland, and a very pretty open (not spooky) cemetery with two beautiful Gothic chapels, one faces North and one South, neither of which are used for any ecclesiastical purposes, but have been converted into office space. The cemetery is used regularly throughout the day and into the evening by dog walkers, and walkers wanting to take a leisurely stroll along the river, or cross the bridge to Middleton Woods (known by locals as Bluebell Woods). From the bedroom window squirrels can be seen scurrying up and down nearby trees, rabbits can be watched playing at dawn and dusk and there's also an owl that can sometimes be heard hooting at night. The pod is in my garden with lawns patios, flowerbeds, trees and the sleeping area overlooks the adjacent woodland. My home is near a Yorkshire Water plant, only water is filtered here to produce drinkable clean water, and any odorous waste is removed and treated at a plant 12 miles away. The wind predominantly blows south to easterly along the river Wharfe, which is in the opposite direction of my home and downstream towards Burley in Wharfedale. Ashlands Road is also the home of the award winning micro brewery "Ilkley Brewery" a bottle of Mary Jane is highly recommended! Although the Pod is self catering, I have left you a supply of tea, coffee, biscuits and chocolates, homemade Jam and Cardamom Marmalade, crumpets, fresh milk in the fridge, enough to start your break. The local independent supermarket is just a 5 minute walk away.

The Bothy is close to Shipley Glen with easy access to Saltaire, the world heritage village and its railway station (15 min walk down the hill through the woods), Leeds Bradford Airport (15 min drive). You’ll love it because it's a self contained character cottage with off street parking. Located next to our house, it's completely private and tucked away, so great if you just want some peace and quiet. It's great for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers. LGTBQ friendly :-)
The Bothy really is a great space and has everything you need for a relaxed stay without the awkwardness of staying in someone's home or the bland surroundings of a generic hotel chain. Situated adjacent to our house, the Bothy is self contained with its own front door. It features a welcoming lounge with a sofa and an easy chair, Freeview tv, DAB radio and log burner. There's also a small table, a bathroom with walk in shower, a compact kitchen, and a first floor bed deck accessed via a staircase that features a double bed, USB charging pods, hanging rail and chest of drawers. We provide free Yorkshire Tea, instant and fresh coffee and a jar of sweet treats. We'll also pop a small Kilner bottle of skimmed milk in the fridge, so you can have a brew as soon as you arrive and settle in. The kitchen is compact and features a two ring halogen hob. There is no conventional oven, however a small counter top oven and microwave are provided. There's also a toaster and kettle. Towels are provided, as well as quality toiletries such as shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and loo roll. Free VirginMedia Wifi. Please note that the Wifi is operated as an extension to the main house hub and sometimes can drop out. It isn't ideal for streaming. The Bothy features a log burning stove. We're happy to supply a starter fuel pack for £8 which will include logs for one night, kindling and firelighters. Further logs can be purchased from local stores or you can simply bring your own. Please let us know if you require a fuel pack before arrival. We provide a range of lifestyle magazines, bought for guests to read. Please don't use them to light the fire or take away with you. There is no washing machine. Should you require anything to be washed we're happy for you to use the machine and the tumble dryer in the main house for a small charge. We do have a travel cot should guests be travelling with a baby. However please note that it can only be set up on the ground floor. The accommodation isn't really suitable for small children. No long terms lets... sorry! Very LGTBQ friendly :-) Please consider travel insurance, all bookings are subject to Airbnb's 'strict' cancellation policy, without exceptions.
The neighbourhood is very residential and quiet. It's a popular area for middle class families. The house is located about 1.5 miles from Baildon village centre where you'll find pubs, bars, restaurants, Co-Op supermarket, cashpoints, post office etc. Ideally you will need a car, but we are accessible via public transport and then on foot or by taxi. Some former guests have marked us down on our location, which amuses me given that there's a map that shows where we are, and I explicitly say we're in a very quiet, residential location. We're set on the hill above Saltaire, the world heritage village which is within a 15 minute walk down through the woods. The village features the world renowned Salt's Mill as well as shops, restaurants, cafes and bars; Saltaire railway station has links to Leeds, Bradford and Skipton. Shipley Glen is a few minutes walk from the house with access to the moors and the Old Glen House pub, which serves food. It is a great base from which to explore Yorkshire's cities such as shoppers paradise Leeds and curry capital Bradford. Its magnificent towns such as Hebden Bridge, Skipton, Harrogate and Ilkley are all within a 30-40 minute drive. Wharfedale, the southern most part of the Yorkshire Dales is within easy reach by car, and features the beautiful Bolton Abbey and picturesque villages of Grassington, Kilnsey and Kettlewell.

  • 10/10 .... this place was amazing. All the little touches made it perfect and the attention to detail was great. Both caroline and her mom were great hosts. Highly recommend staying. Plenty to do and see. Nice 30min walk to haworth town. And the golden fleece 10mins up the road for a Saxon pie. Perfect. Will stay again.

  • Beautiful space in a really convenient location for Haworth. Stunning countryside all around and a gorgeous place to come back to at the end of the day. Full of thoughtful touches with a brilliant host - Caroline is communicative and endlessly helpful. Probably our best Airbnb experience ever!

    Charles2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Caroline was a fantastic host. She made us feel so welcome, comfortable and at home. There was never any question or query that we felt was too silly or small, and the fact she always made herself available for any questions was very much appreciated. We found the house spotless, extremely tastefully, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We are so delighted to have visited. Even the smallest details were well thought through for the comfort and enjoyment of the holiday maker. We hope to be back again very soon.

  • Great location in Haworth town centre, very stylish little cottage I would definitely recommend to anybody staying in the area.

    Kirsty2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cottage in a very quiet neighborhood. We found comfy beds, an inviting living room with lots of things to occupy with, well equipped kitchen, and lots of information about the area. Parking on the bigger road nearby was no problem (even with a bigger car). High street, Bronte Personage museum and pubs close by. Just take into account a very steep/small staircase if you're less mobile.

    Louisa2019-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely place to stay. Very central and easy to access.

    Maree2019-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • What a perfect little cottage in a great location to see all Haworth has to offer and Lina gave us some great recommendations, our favourite being The Hawthorn, which Lina had said was hers too. So many nice cafes and pubs to check out and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast at Cobbles and Clay Deli. The Haworth Old Hall had a pop up gin bar in a marquee which was great. The Bronte Personage Museum was so interesting and well worth a visit and we took a the steam train through the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. The Cottage was clean, bright and had a fab shower and really efficient heating. Lina had left tea coffee and milk which was thoughtful. Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and oh so quiet and peaceful. The communication was brilliant and I think the key safe is a great idea, first time I had used this with airbnb but what a brilliant idea. We would definitely return.

    Val2019-05-26T00:00:00Z

Located on the side of the Worth Valley with far reaching views towards Haworth and beyond. Ideally located to access the beautiful countryside, beautiful towns and villages and generally enjoy the area. 5 minutes walk to the KWVR steam train station.
A free standing ensuite bedroom located on our property provides privacy for everyone. The room has underfloor heating making it feel comfy and cosy. A TV mounted on the wall and Tea and coffee facilities provided within the room means you are set up for a relaxing stay. You have use of the patio if the weather is up to it! Come and go as you please without worrying about disturbing anyone. Plenty of parking. If you are here at the right time there are usually lambs to be bottle fed! You decide what time you'd like breakfast and i'll deliver it to you. I just ask that you let me know any dietary requirements in advance.
We are a smallholding with goats and chickens, semi rural on the side of the worth valley overlooking the Steam railway with views towards Haworth Main Street. Having said all that a 5 minute walk into the village provides you with a coop, Indian takeaway, Chinese takeaway, Fish and chips, pub and even a cafe so if you fancy a night in, feel free to eat in the cowshed as crockery etc is provided but the room does not have cooking facilities.
  • What a wonderful experience from start to finish at The Cowshed. The cowshed is small but incredibly well designed with beautiful furnishings and fittings and thoughtful touches. A five star experience. The photos do not do the Cowshed justice. Although Abby is close by in her home you have complete privacy. Breakfast works well and is delivered to the door on a tray presented in a beautiful way (felt a little like a honeymoon!). Abby has put huge thought into making this a high quality Airbnb and that you have the best experience you can possibly have. The Cowshed is down a quiet country road. It is a lovely walk (mainly off road down little snickets and pathways from the railway children) to Haworth or a shorter ten minute walk to Oakworth where there is a friendly pub or you can walk (on a rural pathway) to The Grouse pub. There is a lovely view of fields (with Abby's sheep) from the Cowshed out of the large patio doors. You can see the steam from the steam train and hear it going past. Thank you Abby for a lovely stay. We look forward to coming back to see you, the chickens, goats and sheep and lambs. My husband and I both agreed your eggs taste better than any we have ever had! Abby is an interesting woman who is sensitive to giving you privacy but happy to give you a warm welcome.

  • Words just can’t do it justice! My boyfriend and I spent New Years here and it was the perfect hideaway! Abby is the most thoughtful and kind host who goes that extra mile! The space is beautifully furnished, So comfortable and the views are lush. Abby includes lots of thoughtful additions- the emergency box was a particular fave of mine! Oh and her breakfast is delicious! Just cannot fault it at all!

  • Abby was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble, we were going to a wedding which Abby offered to drive us to and ironed my husbands shirt. The breakfasts were delicious and the lovely touches like the luxury toiletries made it feel like we were being really spoilt. The accommodation was sparking clean and it was so nice waking up to the amazing views across fields. We will be back for a mini break soon I’m sure. Thank you Abby for the perfect stay!

  • My partner and I loved this place! 😊 As soon as we walked in - the place was toasty warm, cosy and snug. We loved that the place had heaps of character with lovely wooden beams, loved the stylish touches that the host had placed in the decor of this bijou. This place was the perfect retreat to escape and we loved that the bed was super comfy too. Overall, we had a beautiful stay here and thank James for letting us stay at his apartment (and even a late check out as well). Would definitely love to come back to this place again 💜

  • A beautiful and cosy little flat, perfect for a countryside getaway. The heating was great, keeping the space warm even in winter! A great place to stay whether you want to go hiking in the moors or have the convenience of a little countryside village.

    Elspeth2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is really nice, warm and welcoming. Tv with netflix, all the comforts for the kitchen. The only flaw is the cleaning of some dishes and the sink in the bathroom which did not have hot water (the shower instead yes). The apartment is a short walk from the center of Haworth, perfect for visiting the city, there are also many shops and restaurants nearby. Even if the street the house overlooks is totally dark. Overall, however, we are very satisfied!

    Francesca2020-01-13T00:00:00Z

  • I enjoyed a lovely get away here. Communication and booking was so quick and easy, and the self check-in makes time pressures non existent. The cottage is lovely, very well presented, and has the added treats of flowers, breakfast cereals and a couple of welcome offerings in the fridge. I was travelling with my dog and although there is no garden there's a public footpath opposite (at the road junction) leading to a grassy area and beyond. An easy 5 minute drive to Haworth (lots of dog friendly places) and a couple of minutes walk to local shops.

Tucked away on the street leading down to the Worth Valley Steam Railway, our cottage provides cosy accommodation, carefully furnished and decorated throughout. Providing a home from home from which to explore Brontë Country. The steam trains can be seen from the bedroom and it also benefits from a lovely enclosed rear garden. In nearby Haworth, you can experience the quaint cobbled Main Street with its individual shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs. Shop ¼ mile, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
We bought 'Station Cottage' earlier in the year as we love Haworth and the surrounding areas. This is our bolt hole to stay whenever we visit Yorkshire. We feel we have made it into a comfy and cosy place to stay where you can relax and listen to the sound of the steam train go by.
From the cottage there is a local Coop store and some lovely pubs in Oakworth as well. In Stanbury there is a local pub called 'Wuthering Heights' that does great food and you can sit outside looking over the fields. Plus the 'Main Street' in Haworth which has brilliant pubs and a great 'Gin Bar' where the staff are fabulous and always recommend different gins to try!
  • A beautiful cosy cottage in a fabulous area. Everything you might want or need and lots of lovely places to visit very close by.

Great selection of games for when the Yorkshire weather intrudes! Lovely shower and well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds and lovely bedding. Would recommend . Note As indicated, steep stairs leading to bedrooms, so may be difficult for the less mobile.

The place is well situated for trips round Yorkshire and in particular Haworth where legend has it the Bronte's touched every seat and door knob :0) We would definitely stop here again. Thanks.

  • This cottage is a must for a ‘railway children ‘ enthusiast! You can literally see the steam train pull in from the main door!! The cottage is beautifully clean, fantastically decorated and very well kitted out. You can cook properly here if you want to and the beds are all v comfortable. Nice touches of fizz and clementines left for us was a lovely touch, and v good instructions and advice about surroundings. Highly recommended .

  • Station Cottage is a real find: stylish and well-equipped and in a great location for exploring all that the Bronte country has to offer. We stayed just before Christmas and it was wonderful to arrive to find the cottage beautifully decorated, with two Christmas trees and decorations throughout. The wood burner gives a great cosy feel, and it's perfect for dogs with a secure fenced and paved terrace at the back. Highly recommended.

There were nice little touches, like a bottle of wine and bread, croissants, and milk in the fridge. Rebecca responded to messages promptly and provided useful tips for things to do. It was quite rainy one morning and I happily spent the morning playing board games and watching Netflix with my 4 year old boy. All in all a perfect Airbnb experience!

  • Brilliant little hidy hole! Lovely and clean and great amenities.

  • The place was beautifully decorated in a lovely and peaceful location. Loved the thoughtful extras like milk, cereals, bread and jam and even a cake, which my children enjoyed thoroughly. Would highly recommend and happily stay again.

The Bothy at Hainworth is a great self contained annex building within the grounds of our home. It consists of a open plan main room with an en-suite shower, basin and toilet. The Bothy is located on a lovely cobbled road on the moorland in Hainworth village. The building is newly converted to a high quality finish and has a lovely wooden timber apex, with industrial retro style features. It's just a lovely and calming space nestled into the side of the hill.
The Bothy at Hainworth is a self contained annex building. It has a lovely wooden beamed apex consisting of a main room with kettle, toaster, mini fridge and a bed and TV. There is no cooker or kitchen sink or units, but there is crockery and cutlery and a microwave. So basic meals can be catered for by yourselves should you wish. It has a lovely rustic Welsh slate shower room. Wooden table and chairs are situated in the courtyard, which is a lovely sun trap looking down the valley over the cobbled street. The Bothy opens out onto a self contained fenced garden, which guests have access to.
The area around us is super chilled. It's surrounded by fields and not far from the moorland at the top of the hill. There's a cricket club nearby. So if you like that kind of thing you can soak up the village atmosphere whilst watching a game. There's a small wood down our lane, which is perfect for walking dogs. There is also the Worth Way. Just up the hill is beautiful Moorland and you can walk from here over to St Ives Estate near Bingley. There are loads of lovely pubs and eateries round about this area as well.
  • The Bothy is a lovely warm & cozy place with a very comfortable bed. We had everything we needed & more besides. The provisions for continental breakfast were excellent. it was spotlessly clean & the facilities were great ! Definitely recommended.

  • The Bothy is the perfect place to stay if you wish to visit this beautiful area. We were attending a wedding in Haworth and this was very convenient. Communication was great, The Bothy clean, well equipped and quick to warm up when we arrived. We would recommend The Bothy to anyone.

  • Very comfortable stay with everything we needed for a short stay. Comfy bed and great shower room. Breakfast provided - yoghurt, fruit, cereals, toast etc. Easy walk to the Three Acres for dinner and lots of info given on local area, walks and maps. Wish we’d had longer to explore some more.

    Wendy2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Sadly one of my dogs became ill so I was not able to stay at The Bothy. Aldene and Aly were extremely understanding and I hope to be able to book again for a trip in the autumn.

    Dondra2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • The hosts are lovely, so helpful, great comms with detailed directions, places to go/eat etc The Bothy is even better than we expected from the photos, everything you could want is provided, inc bread, milk, yogurts, butter, jams, toiletries! The bathroom is very well finished with a superb shower. The 3 gorgeous doggies were very friendly and welcoming too! Highly recommended as a base for touring the Dales, and really reasonably priced for what you get.

A rural retreat with commanding views. We are up at 1000ft on the back of Ilkley Moor looking south towards Haworth and Bronte country as well as being on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park with Bolton Abbey just 5 miles away. Although isolated, there are good local rail and bus links to Bradford and Leeds for those missing city life! The Shippon is ideal for that "get away from it all feeling" and for those who don't want all the amenities on their doorstep! Well behaved dogs welcome
Access to the Shippon is via a 3/4 mile farm track with 3 gates. This is fine for cars with normal ground clearance and careful driving but not suitable for low slung vehicles. The weather on the moor can make getting in an out of cars to open and shut the gates a memorable experience so we advise that guests should be physically fit enough to cope happily with this!
  • Beautiful location

    Nina2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible location, right on the moors and some lovely walks. Be warned it's down a small gravel road, so don't bring a low car. The cottage is lovely, and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend and stay again if we come back to the area. Ilkley is a lovely local town with great restaurants and shops.

    Jo2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place to stay, the Shippon is gorgeous, everything we needed and more at this cottage! The surrounding countryside is stunning! We tried to take photos but they didn't do it justice!! Our dog had a fantastic time leaping about the moors! Keith is a fantastic host, very attentive and welcoming! Thank you so much Keith, we will be back soon I'm sure!!!

    Fiona2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • The Shippon is in a wonderful area if you are looking for peace and tranquility and wonderful views. There are plenty of opportunities for walks. The cottage is cosy and well equipped.

    Andrew2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at the Shippon, the cottage was exactly as described and just perfect as a little retreat in the middle of nowhere.

    Krystyna2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful place! Such a brilliant location for walks onto Ilkley Moor as well as a short drive to the Dales. Perfect for a peaceful getaway. The little cottage has everything you need and such a cosy vibe! Keith was lovely and so helpful. We had such a lovely stay!

    Lauren2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • The Shippon is in an absolutely gorgeous location if you you are looking for some peace and quiet. You can't get remoteness like this, without being prepared to drive up a long farm track! But it is certainly well worth it. Keith provides a clean, cosy, comfortable and independently well equipped "cottage" that is attached to his own home. Keith is friendly and helpful and easily contactable when you need him.

    Simon2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Just returned from the most peaceful week at the Shippon. The views are incredible and the accommodation itself is well equipped, clean, tidy, and homely, as well as very dog friendly. Keith and Jane are the most welcoming hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The Shippon is situated perfectly for gorgeous walks straight from the door and the addition of the maps really helped us explore the area to its fullest! Thank you both. We would happily return :)

Single room with TV and storage, cosy space for a good night's rest. TV and WiFi. Use of living room for relaxing and watching a movie. Tea and coffee provided, a clean towel and a basic breakfast is also included. Toast & cereal.
Terrace property in a quiet location perfect to relax and unwind after a long day. The house is in a great location close to Shipley train station & Saltaire village. If you like real ale Fanny’s ale house is a must, my favourite watering hole. Shipley also have an Aggra Indian restaurant I fully recommend. A stones throw from the Leeds Liverpool canal.
Commute to Leeds within half an hr ( inc way to station ) Close to some nice returants and local bars. Saltaire is close by with lots to see and do. Train gets you into Leeds in 20 mins and trains run every 15 mins. Bradford is a 10 min ride, plenty of lovely places to visit Skipton is one of my favourite spots with lots to see and do.
  • Carol was an outstanding host and very hospitable. The room that I booked ended up being rented to someone weeks after my booking so Carol gave me a bigger and better room that was clean and comfortable. Her place is about a 12 minute walk from Shipley’s train station, and on weekdays it’s only under £7 for a round trip to Leeds.

The view from the window was outstanding, wifi worked well and ‘cable’ tv(I can’t remember the name of the network) was set up for me as soon as I arrived so I could watch a range of different movies and shows in bed. The bus ride into Leeds city centre was so pretty and scenic too, and the bus stop only a few minutes down the road. Great hosts as well. Overall a really great place.

An old tall terrace house on a cobbled street with wonderful views up and down the Aire valley. A spacious double bed bedroom with use of a fully furnished kitchen, including a basic breakfast, sitting room, bathroom and back garden, which is perfect for unwinding in the afternoon sun with a drink after walking on the local moor or dales. Comfy, relaxed home with a cheeky but friendly young cat called Toulouse.
I am in the process of doing up my first home. The kitchen is complete and sitting room almost done; I’m just working on making some curtains and installing a fire. The spare room is set up as a bedroom and work space, which is where I work on developing my art and wedding stationary range when I don’t have guests. The bathroom is in good working order just a bit dated ... it is the next room to be decorated; I’m aiming to put in a free standing bath and walk in shower!
Being on the edge of the Yorkshire dales means great access to walks and cycle routes. Along with lots of wonderful villages and towns to visit, such as Skipton or Grassington within a 20minute drive, along with a range of National Trust and other historic attractions. There is more than enough to see and do in the area.
  • Very welcoming, home from home, comfortable space and friendly host. What more do you want? Can also recommend the Chinese chippie just down the road.

  • My wife, daughter and I really enjoyed our stay at Fell Cottage. We only stayed the two nights, but during our stay we were able to visit Skipton Castle and Haworth. On the second evening we went out to dinner at The Grouse Inn, one of the several local ‘pub grub’ choices in the area., kindly suggested by our next door but one neighbour. Fell Cottage itself was comfortable, clean and equipped with all the amenities.

  • We went to Carol's place after another host did not respond for the check for in even after a confirmed booking. Carol responded quickly to all our communication. Her place is well thought out and the room had everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable and the large TV in the room made it a relaxing stay in. Would definitely recommend the space to anyone and would stay there again.

All facilities were clean and tidy, and the wonderful shower was an experience in itself. The supplied breakfast kept me going until lunchtime. The noise level was low, so I got a comfortable night's sleep. Carol's place has my firmest recommendation. You can't go wrong.

This house had Haworth and Bronte Country on its doorstep but has none of its parking issues. You can walk to Haworth in 20 minutes or take the bus in 5. You are also within close range of other exciting and stunning tourist attractions such as Cliffe Castle, Bolton Abbey, The Dales, and the local heritage of Bradford and Keighley. There are lots of activities locally such as trail/fell running, MTB-ing and cycle sportives. I'm a land artist and each bedroom features a different installation.
No. 2 Heritage Way is a large house with lots of space both inside and out. One unique thing about it is that it has 3 real hens and 3 giant ornamental sheep in the garden. But there is still space for an outdoor eating area, a hot tub, a swingball game and plenty of lawn space for other games and sheltered sunbathing in summer. It might sound weird to have twin orthopeadic beds but older people love them for their comfort and kids love the novelty of using the remote controls to go up and down and lift their legs and head. I am an occasional land artist and each of the bedrooms is named after one of my favourite instalations. the double bedroom is the Broad-Ford suite, the single room is the Branwell and the bicycle suite and the twin room is the Winking Goose Winking Turkey suite. In my job for the local Sue Ryder hospice I am involved with the organisation of a high proportion of the local events that are going on on our doorstep and I can make sure I will notify you in advance of any that are happening during your stay. These include sportives, mountain bike challenges and trail runs in the fantastic local landscape.
Oakworth is a large south facing village with 2 village stores and 2 pubs both within 5 minutes walk of No. 2 Heritage Way. There is also a ladies hairdressers, 2 barbers shops, a sewing cafe, a fish and chip shop, a Chinese takaway and a Indian takaway. For more choice of takaways you are only 5 minutes drive from the town of Keighley and so all the restaurants there will deliver to Oakworth. And if you fancy some good home made food, the Golden Fleece Inn does great food including their award winning Saxon pies. There are another dozen good eating places within ten minutes drive including restaurants on Haworth Main Street and the Wuthering Heights Inn in the village of Stanbury. Oakworth's biggest claim to fame is that it features heavily in the classic film 'The Railway Children'. Oakworth station on the Keighley and Worth Valley Steam Railway remains just as it was on the film and is a great place to climb aboard the train which has stops at Keighley, Ingrow, Haworth and Oxenhope. Within the village is the grounds of what was Holden Hall, a stately home built by mill owner Sir Isaac Holden that burned to the ground in the 19th Centuary. Oakworth is the home of proffessional cyclist Tom Moses who rides through the village each year when the Tour de Yorkshire comes through in early May.

  • Gorgeous property, plenty of space and great amenities including a spacious kitchen, dining area/lounge, large bath and cosy bedrooms. The hot tub was a great addition to our stay and the garden is very well kept. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the decor was thoughtful and quirky and felt very homely. The property has table tennis and board games, as well as TVs with fire sticks for endless entertainment value. Easy to access property, and Andrew is an amazing host, made us feel comfortable right away, gave us directions to points of interests, tips about the local area, and help with the hot tub. Also gave us eggs from his hens and made sure we were stocked with groceries. The property is in a great location for heading into the south of the dales, we took a ride out to Malham Cove which was only about 40 minutes drive and it was spectacular, many other great places nearby to see too as well as nice local pubs within walking distance. Would definitely stay again! Highly recommended.

Folly Cottage is a quaint and quirky stone-built, mid-terrace period property in the heart of the picturesque village of Haworth, so provides an ideal base from which to explore this gorgeous part of West Yorkshire with easy access to Hebden Bridge, Skipton, and Harrogate.
Folly Cottage combines a contemporary feel with original period features including exposed stone and beams, flagstone flooring, feature fireplaces, and the original stone staircase. The two-floor accommodation comprises of a double bedroom, a shower room with a newly-installed soaker shower, basin, and WC, and a compact but well-equipped fitted kitchen. The comfortable sitting room, with dining area, has a large feature fireplace with a multi-fuel stove, so guests can relax in front of a real fire and listen for the distant sound of the steam train whistle. At the rear of the property, there is a small outdoor seating area, and to the front, there is roadside parking for one car. Folly Cottage has a selection of books and games for entertainment, and Wi-Fi, a Blu-ray player, and Smart TV which enables guests to connect to Netflix and other streaming services.
Haworth is famous for its association with the Bronte Sisters and the heritage Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, and Folly Cottage is just a 5-minute walk from the historic cobbled Main Street which is home to a wealth of independent vintage shops, galleries, cafes, bars, and restaurants, and the Bronte Parsonage Museum. Haworth has a vast array of annual events such as the 1940s Weekend, 'Hawortheen', and the Christmas Torchlight Weekend, so there is always a reason to visit whatever the time of year! Situated above the Worth Valley on the edge of the Pennine Moors, a stay in Haworth also offers breathtakingly beautiful moorland walks and cycle routes right on the doorstep, and popular sights and landmarks include Haworth Moor, Top Withins, and the Bronte Bridge and Waterfall. The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway and the surrounding towns and villages were used in the 1970s film adaptation of Edith Nesbit’s book ‘The Railway Children’, so there is the opportunity to take a nostalgic step back in time and see some of the most iconic locations from the story on a choice of two Railway Children walks.
  • Definitely well worth the money, home from home. Spotlessly clean perfect location and great communication from the hosts

  • The cottage is in the perfect location for heading out to explore. We really appreciated how cosy warm the cottage was when we returned each day. A lovely space to stay in with everything we needed. Thank you

  • This is a really lovely cottage, within minutes of the Bronte Parsonage and the Main Street. The place is sparkling clean, beautifully decorated and ideal for an escape. Stephen and Emily are excellent hosts: quick to reply to messages and they’ve made sure that there’s everything their guests will need in the property. I can highly recommend!

  • We stayed at this cottage during storm Dennis, there was still plenty to do and the cottage was cosy and warm. Great weekend stay!!

    Dickon2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful place to stay - warm, cosy, comfortable and within 5-10 mins walking of everything in Haworth. Tastefully furnished, beautiful feel to the cottage, with everything you need. Quiet, peaceful, clear skies at night. Fantastic.

    Simon2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Just returned from an amazing stay at the cottage. The location is outstanding only 3 mins walk to the bottom of the main cobble street. The cottage inside is lovely, very welcoming and cosy. Everything you need is provided and everywhere very clean. The wood burner is fab for cold winter nights and there is a smart tv which was a bonus with lots of DVD’s if fancy a night in. The fish shop 2 doors down from the cottage I would definitely recommend also lots of local takeaways too the enjoy. I would also recommend the local butchers 2 mins walk away. They do lovely hot sandwiches which we had for breakfast and cold sandwiches if planning some lovely walks. There is lots of local walks to enjoy and some lovely pubs within mins walk away to enjoy. The commutations with the hosts were always quick and very informative. I would definitely be recommending the cottage to family and friends. Thanks to Stephen and Emily and can’t wait to return.

Ilkley is yet another lovely place for walking, eating and shopping......the list goes on and on.
  • Susan is the most amazing and thoughtful host! Bed was soooo cosy just the best after long night shifts. Definitely recommend. Thanks again Susan. Xx

  • Excellent place. I would book it again if it's available next time I'm in town.

  • Very lovely lady and the house is extremely cosy

    Khadijah2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Susan is a Superhost and the house has everything you need for any length of stay.

    Philip2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Susan was there to meet me and was very helpful and clear with her explanation of how everything worked. She was very hospitable, even offering to make me a cup of tea before she left. For anyone with mobility issues like me it’s ideal as there is a wet room style shower, so there’s no threshold to climb over. There are grab bars in various places around the house and even a chair lift on the stairs, although I did not use this. The 2 steps outside the side door are quite steep, but I found the front steps easy to use as they are shallower and wider with a banister at each side to hold on to. Bread, butter, eggs, milk, tea, coffee and condiments were all provided The house was very clean and I had a good nights sleep in the comfy bed. There is a very handy corner shop just across the quiet street and 2 large supermarkets within walking distance. For people without a car, the bus stop is just around the corner. I would not hesitate to use Susan’s house again and would highly recommend it to others.

    Janette2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Susan was very helpful, and provided milk bread and eggs for our stay, which was very kind. The house is cosy, despite not having central heating as their are ample heaters and a gas fire in the lounge. It suited is very well and I would definitely stay here again

  • Nice and cosy little house, exactly as described. Susan was a great host!

    Evangelos2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Was absolutely excellent staying at Susan's house. There were no issues in the 4 days I was there and Susan was helpful for all the days by providing me items for breakfast as well as giving me a good place to stay. Will definitely come back here next time.

A walkers paradise with the moors literally directly on the doorstep. Fabulous walking is available in the area including Top Withens and Bronte Waterfalls. Steeped in literary history, Haworth, a pretty village with a cobbled main street with independent shops, cafés, pubs and galleries, is located just 2 miles away. Oxenhope itself has a convenience store, churches and pubs serving good food, as well as being known for the legendary Oxenhope Straw Race. Wonderfully artsy Hebden Bridge, also home to the National Trust’s Hardcastle Crags, can be reached either by car or good public transport links in around 15 minutes. The market town of Skipton, otherwise known as the ‘Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales’, can be reached in around half an hour. Fantastic cycling routes from the front door. We are located directly on the Tour de France Grand Depart Route. Also great mountain bike and running routes on which we can offer assistance.
  • Beautiful place all round. Lovely and peaceful only a 5/10 minute walk into the village. Beautifully decorated throughout and wanted for nothing. Fantastic hosts always on hand and even left walking tips. A most welcome welcome gift on arrival was a lovely touch. The old steam railway in Oxenhope was a unexpected treat, there was a stop at Haworth. Excellent. Would highly recommend *****

  • Very well appointed barn conversion with kitchen, lounge area and big bed upstairs. Basic provision box was a nice touch and logs were provided for the burner. The property is just a 5-10 minute drive from Haworth, and we spent nearly a full day here taking in the sights. Well worth a visit.
