  • I booked this little stay as a present for my husband's birthday and it didn't disappoint! We had such a relaxing time away. Mark and Suzanne's little touches were great, they have really thought of everything. The breakfast hamper delivered in the morning was a lovely treat for 2 working parents. We've already booked for Easter but will be bringing our toddler. Great stay!

  • A great stay in the heart of Yorkshire! If you want to spend a night lost in the middle of Yorkshire’s countryside this is the right place! Mark built the cabins by himself and they look lovely, cosy and warm. Breakfast is delicious and I am sure you will have a great time if you decide to visit. The cabins are sparkling clean and furnished with everything needed for a short stay. See you soon Mark!

  • We first stayed here in 2017 and we loved our stay. Our kids remembered coming here and wanted to stay again. We’ve just returned from a wonderful nights stay. It’s a fab space with an amazing view that is so peaceful. The area is perfect for exploring but far enough away for some peace and quiet!

    Carly2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely.

    Eleanor2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lorretta & Philip are excellent hosts, very friendly & accommodating. The views are stunning, definitely somewhere to visit

    James2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Peaceful stay with amazing views to wake to . In the morning you just hear the birds and the sheep! Only 5 min walk to 2 pubs . Very nice host nothing too much trouble . We would recommend

    Jeanette2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic use of space in a superb location. Our hosts were so welcoming to the family and, although we only stayed for one night, we know the children will remember it far more vividly than a faceless corporate hotel. Would recommend the cow shed to anyone looking for a unique stay.

    Jason2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very cozy ´cow shed in a quiet place. It has a nice terrace where you can sit, staring at the sheep and beautiful view while listening to old time music cassettes. We loved it.

    Marleen2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • We can totally recommend staying at The Cow Shed. The owners have built and maintained the space themselves and you can tell it is a real labour of love. The views from the decking area of the rolling fields are spectacular. It is the perfect place to relax and get away from the pressures of modern life and get "off the grid". There are some lovely touches such as the saddle bar stools and the mannequins. There are some great CDs available to play and also cassette tapes if you feel particularly nostalgic. We had never stayed at a place with cummunual showers before, but this wasn't an issue as the facilities are clean, spacious and warm. We will definitely go back. The hosts are welcoming and friendly. Also, Scalby village has a number of great amenities which are a short walk away.

Superb luxury holiday accommodation. The Old Stables is a stunning barn conversion set in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds. It has space in abundance, with a light airy contemporary feel yet retaining fabulous features such as the vast faulted ceiling and the underfloor heating keeps you cosy on those chilly evenings. The Spectacular bi-fold doors open out onto a lovely patio, garden and hot tub area, which is a fantastic sun trap.
  • Everything was amazing, pictures do not do it justice. Stunning location, Kath was welcoming and lovely. Bread, milk, prosecco on arrival! Hot tub was fab and we were made to feel completely at home.

    Georgia2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you to Kath and her family for a lovely 2 night stay at the stables. The room is amazing and with the heated floors its so cosy, comfy bed too! We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings especially from the hottub! Both pubs that Kath recommended were welcoming and had delicious food. Would highly recommend staying at the stables, from Chris, Olivia and Patricia the dog x

  • Really enjoyed our stay, would definitely book again. Kath is a lovely host.

    James2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay and excellent value . Easy to find. Love the little touches like bread , jam and Prosecco . Loved the underfloor heating but be warned to keep it low and it’s gets very toasty . If anyone wants to watch films remember to bring a fire stick or something as that was the only thing missing . Hot tub was a perfect addition and lovely after a long day’s walk . We will definitely be back in the future Thanks Chris and Jon

    Chris2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a brilliant stay at the old stables, lovely and peaceful. The photos don’t do this place justice! Kath was a great host and really thoughtful with the additional little touches. Thanks again :)

18th century cottage in Scarborough. Centrally located, being less than a mile from Scarborough Railway Station and town centre. Beautifully appointed to a very high standard, with quality fittings and furnishings. During these uncertain times we are taking extra precautions to block a day at either side of all bookings. This will allow us time to deep clean and keep us all that bit safer!
Lounge/dining area, which includes 40" T.V, with built-in DVD player. Amazon Echo music system. Fully equipped kitchen, incorporating small fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and microwave. Full bathroom, with bath having shower and T.V, adding a little bit of luxury! Bedroom, with double bed, triple wardrobe and wall-mounted T.V. The bedroom is open-plan, so the cottage is ideally suited to a couple. This charming cottage has the great advantage of having a small raised garden, which is perfect for enjoying outside eating and drinking, and it catches the sun all day, ( if it is out of course!) The fabulous log burner is the centre-piece of this home, making it a wonderful, warm and cosy place for a short break away!
Shrove Cottage is on the edge of Falsgrave, which is approximately half a mile from Scarborough Railway Station. There is a news agent/convenience store just a few yards away and there are many more shops close by; including a butchers, bakery, green grocer and pharmacy. There is also a Sainsbury Superstore/Petrol Station in Falsgrave. There are some great traditional pubs, which often host local bands, serving real ales and tasty food. The cottage is located on an A road, which can get busy.
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Shrove Cottage! Judith was able to have the cottage ready for us an hour early which was really handy! The cottage is perfect for 2 people, cosy and comfortable. Milk, orange juice, and bread was left for us which was very nice! The cottage was only a 20/25 minute walk to the beach which was a nice easy walk and we had no problems parking outside the property. Would definitely recommend this place and will probably come back in the future!

    Heather2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Booked Judith’s cottage as a trip away for my parents. They both loved it. The cottage was beautiful and spotlessly clean and in a great location (walking distance to Scarborough front). Would love to book again for myself

    Elisha2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much for letting us stay in your fantastic little cottage. Was the perfect home from home to sight see a beautiful part of the country ❤️

    Jamie2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cosy cottage with everything you need, in a great location.

    Karen2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures do not do Shrove cottage justice! This place was the perfect little getaway cottage. The hosts have done so well at making the most of the space and have decorated the cottage beautifully. I will definitely be back as soon as I can!

    Amy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first time booking through Air bnb and I think this will be the yardstick we measure all future bookings with. From the start, Judiths communication was excellent as was the property information we were given in advance. On arrival to this stunning cottage, we were met with such thoughtful little touches such as bread and milk, robes to wear, candles for the outdoor area and many more that it instantly felt like a wonderful and cosy place to be. It’s the perfect size for a couple, has everything you need and is located in a nice area that’s not too near the bustle of the sea front. I fell in love with it instantly and we would love to return one day. It’s cosy, clean and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Thank you Judith for making our stay so memorable.

    Gillian2020-02-26T00:00:00Z

We have cattle and sheep on the farm, and we are happy to provide 'Sheep cake' for the children to feed the lambs in the paddock next to the garden. We are 15 miles from Scarborough, approx. 20 miles to Whitby, and 6 miles Pickering.
  • Fantastic place in stunning location. Will definitely be back!

    Luke2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation is tastefully designer and provides a beautiful backdrop to a peaceful stay. The thoughtful touches left by Mark and Suzanne really enhanced the amazing stay. Breakfast was truly wonderful and had something to suit everyone!! I can’t recommend this place highly enough!!

    Steph2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful shepherd hut in a lovely setting. So cosy and warm, even on a cold winter’s evening. Everything you could want and need for a relaxing break including breakfast delivered to your door in the morning!

    Helen2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous little hideaway. Perfect setting and superbly comfortable.

    Helen2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • You can expect a ‘true’ countryside experience in this place. We really had a good time enjoying the stunningly beautiful scenery around the accommodation (field and the farm). A place is a bit far remote so be mentally prepared to drive up the hill but not really too challenging in my opinion. Should be there before dark as roads could be tricky. Also ensure you take care your dinner before getting there - just an advice!

    Jarkkrit2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay and amazing hosts, the setting was beautiful. My little boy is nearly two and he loved the stay on the farm and breakfast was great. X

    Jodie2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for a super stay! It was cute and cosy despite the rainy weather. Serenity made our weekend 😊

    Emily2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent short stay to start off the year. Lovely cozy space, very well decorated. Brilliant location - very handy for access to the forest. All the amenities you could need for a short stay. My place is close to the both North and South bays, Peasholme Park, beach, playgrounds, the castle. Wonderfully located on a quiet residential street. The property is the ground floor flat in a Victorian Townhouse. You’ll love my place because of the location and the ambiance. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families with smaller kids, and furry friends (pets). CANNOT SLEEP 4 ADULTS, only 2 Adults and 2 Children / Teenagers. Small pets welcome - just not the sofa
Lovely flat by the seaside with private garage. Sleeps 2 Adults + 2 Children. Please ensure to specifiy if more than 2 people will be staying. By default we only leave bedding out for the double bed, when additional people are staying we leave out additional bedding **very important**. Private Garage (quite narrow, however I could just fit my old people mover in it). This flat is ideally suited for a couple, however the sofa in the sitting room can be folded out to provide 2 additional single beds suitable for children. Situated in an enviable position on the north bay cliff top area of Scarborough, short stroll will bring you to numerous shops, pubs and really good restaurants. A 10 minute walk will take you into the heart of Scarborough where you can enjoy a taste of a true British holiday beside the sea, complete with Blue Flag awarded swimming beach, well maintained amusement arcades, traditional gift shops and harbourside stalls selling locally made rock candy and fresh shellfish. Scarborough's harbour area and piers are where to head, for fishing trips and boat trips and to view the famous 1930s lighthouse. There are numerous activities in Scarborough for all ages including swimming, golfing, fishing, indoor go-karting, bowling and cinemas and lots more. Travelling slightly further, you can appreciate the beautiful North York Moor National Park, and Dalby Forest is a great place to visit for mountain bike enthusiasts, with some excellent pathways and cycle tracks and the famous Go Ape assault course that the kids will love. Ground floor flat in Victorian townhouse. Recently renovated and decorated in a simple but stylish manner. The property consists of Master bedroom, Sitting Room and Kitchen / Diner & two small bathrooms with a Shower and toilet in each. The kitchen & diner is outfitted with a 2 burner electric hob, a combined Microwave convection oven, integrated fridge freeze, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, and a kitchen table large enough for 4 people. The sitting room contains an L shaped sofa which seats 3 people (and also folds out into two single beds suitable for children), an arm chair, a wall mounted TV and a DVD player. Quality linen and towels are provided with the rental as well as small basics such as handsoap, and dishwasher tablets. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Highchair and travel cot are also provided. Everything you need for a romantic escape for 2 people, or a budget holiday for a young family. The windows are on street level with Venetian blinds and curtains provided for privacy. The back faces an internal sheltered courtyard planted with ferns and evergreens.
This is a quiet street located above the north bay. When you walk out the front door you are a thirty second walk to the top of the cliff and its beautiful view over north bay and the castle. There are benches on the cliff where you can relax and admire the view - the sun sets over land, but the colours of the sky over the sea are often spectacular here. I am a big fan of sitting on a cliff top bench, watching the sun set as I eat fish and chips (from North Bay Fisheries by Peasholm Park). North bay has at least 4 renown cafes. The most popular is the Watermark serving organic, locally farmed produce, and fabulous breakfasts all year round. Just across from the Watermark you can find, wetsuit, kayak and surfboard hire, as well as surfing lessons. The same parade of shops also has a Nisa Local, an ice cream parlour, Doorstep Adventures selling souvenirs, Crocs and wellies, as well as lovely things. If you turn left out of the house you are a short walk from both South Bay beach and the town centre with all the shops and restaurants. At least three of Scarborough's restaurants have been mentioned in the Michelin guide: Jeremy's, The Green Room and Lanterna. All walking distance from the house. You can get to the castle at the top of castle road in less than ten minutes, a walk that takes you past Anne Brontë's grave in St Mary's church yard. Scarborough train station is about 1.25km through the town centre, which is about a 20 minute stroll. Taxis should cost no more than £6.
  • A very comfortable property, with excellent amenities, in a first class location.

  • Lovely apartment, handy to have the garage large enough to fit a ford focus in! Amazing location in the middle of everything in Scarborough, we didn't have to use our car once. Lovely little touches in the apartment, felt very at home. Just door in lounge was hanging off its hinges, didn't bother us but could be a bit of hazard in the future.

A spacious, clean, comfortable apartment with wonderful decorations and quirks. • A very clean and well thought out location. 5 beds in 3 rooms which allowed for lots of space and a really great family sized cottage. Yes, there was a lack of phone access but this was explained well in advance and it was actually nice to escape the constant social media checking. Book here for a great place away from it all.

  • We had a fantastic stay at Beech Cottage. It's ideally located to explore York and Whitby - so nice to come back somewhere so comfortable and putting on the log burner after a day out was such a treat! Great swimming pool also.

    Daniela2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • House was lovely and clean, managed to get the open wood fire going which was great! Jo was very helpful too.

  • Fab cottage, our daughter particularly enjoyed the pool! We had a brilliant stay, close to the seaside, and cosy nights by the fire! Definitely recommend!

    Roz2019-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed overnight in Beech Cottage to extend our trip to the coast. It was easy to find, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The pool was a real bonus and our kids loved it! We also liked that we could have a real fire.

  • Nigel is a great host and his cottage is lovely. Quick replies, cosy cottage, spotlessly clean with lots of towels, and a good location for Scarborough. Scarborough is only a 20 - 30 minute drive. The off road parking at the cottage is very useful. For food or drinks I'd recommend going to the Coachman Inn (10 minute walk) rather than the nearer place. It's in a different world for ambience, comfort and service. The food is stunning and excellent value for the quality and quantity. Also the nearer place no longer does food anyway, despite the sign saying different. We'd love to stay at Nigel's again sometime.

Pheasant's Roost is surprisingly spacious, very clean, and private shepherds hut with wood-fired hot tub - perfect for romantic breaks. All year round use - with electric heating and log burner. En-suite shower room. Set in a small paddock with bbq, patio and table. Amazing farmland views. Up to 2 dogs are welcome. Walking distance to 2 good pubs serving food plus local shops. Great base for touring York, East Coast and North Yorkshire Moors. Market town of Malton 5 miles away. Lots of walks.
Pheasants Roost is an en-suite shepherds hut set in beautiful countryside, perfect for a peaceful relaxing stay. We also have Rose Cottage on site - holiday accommodation with 2 bedroom sleeping 4. Jacuzzi style hot tub, and dogs also welcome. Both properties can be booked together. The owners also live on site and are usually available.
Thorpe Bassett is a peaceful village location, yet only 1/2 mile from A64 (the main road between York and Scarborough). There is no street lighting, there are lots of local lanes to explore, and the Yorkshire Wolds Way national trail runs less than a mile from our house.
  • I had high expectations of the Shepard’s hut from reading reviews from previous guests and I was not disappointed. The shepherds hut was very clean and easy to find, the hut is in a perfect location to get to nearby beaches and the moors and has a lovely pub around the corner. Pauline was very helpful during our stay when we needed some help getting the hot tub up to temperature. Would definitely like to return at some point in the future :)

  • Jim’s place is welcoming and the room is cosy. The is parking outside the house and it’s a lovely quiet area. Comfy bed and thoughtful touches (kettle in room so you can have a cuppa along with cutlery and glasses for your own food. ) the bathroom is next door and there was ample hot water. Simple accommodation that ticks the boxes.

    Nicola2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Really good location if visiting Scarborough - far enough out of the town to feel in the north yorkshire countryside but still only a few minutes drive or a decent walk along the coastal path away. Jim is a very good host. He has a few simple house rules, keeps the whole process easy, and is very accomodating.

    Anthony2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • A warm, clean and charming place to stay in a beautiful, quiet but well connected spot! Well placed for walking and cycling or just enjoying amazing views, beaches and seaside towns and villages. Jim is a great host and is happy to share his good knowledge of the local area as well as a local map. I will hopefully return for another stay in the not too distant future.

    Jill2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Jim made us feel very welcome and the place was perfect for our needs. Lovely, peaceful location. Bedroom warm and comfortable with bathroom adjoining. Self-serve breakfasts were good and warm croissants were a nice touch.

    Nicola2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay at Jim’s place - comfy bed, nice breakfast and thoughtful touches such as herbal tea made it a great spot.

    Steph2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Coastguards Lodge was a warm and comfortable place to stay, ideal for the Cleveland Way and other places to visit north of Scarborough. Jim, the host, was kind, helpful and easy going, which made the stay relaxing. The breakfast was very good: cereals, toast, tea and 'proper' coffee, an excellent way to start the day for the walk my son and I did along the Cleveland Way.

    Alan2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jim is an excellent host and welcoming. The room is big with great views to open countryside. The double bed is better than my own at home and very comfy. Close enough to Scarborough for trips in and for decent walks along the coast. Although my stay was for a brief trip to a local business I would happily stay again for a short stay.

Elstree is a self-contained annexe to a big family house with allocated parking off-road. We welcome pets and kids (although we don’t provide specialist things for infants and teenagers might find it a squash!). It is half a mile walk to the town centre and under a mile walk to the beautiful Scarborough South Bay beach, all theatres and seaside essentials. We’ve priced low so you get a bargain deal! We hope to provide you a home from home cosy space for peace, quiet and rest
The Escape is a 1-bed plus en suite shower with a separate living area — sofa, kitchenette, desk and even your own parking space. You can cosy up and hideaway or get to the beach for fresh air and stunning scenery.
The 'Escape' is on a street of big Victorian villas just walking distance from Scarborough town centre. Most of the villas are still family homes -- if you like architecture you're in for a treat! Within a mile circumference you can get to the SJ Theatre, cinema, town centre shops, South Bay beach and promenade and the Spa Theatre. You can also walk to Peasholm Park and the Open Air Theatre but it is a little further. There is a parade of shops for the basics just around the corner (but we will always make sure you have milk and teabags to arrive to!). There are also lots of nearby cafes and restaurants within a short walk so getting around is very easy.
  • The guest house was so cute. It was very clean and had cute touches to it like blankets, food, and soaps. It was a perfect amount of space. Emma was also great at communicating!

  • We’ve just enjoyed a three night stay at Emma’s place, it was spotlessly clean and within walking distance of the beach and town centre. Thank you for the little treats you left for us they were much appreciated. Hopefully we’ll be back one day.

    Janet2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Emma made sure we had a fantastic break in Scarborough. We were allowed to check in later due to delay with travel and were welcomed with the most glorious welcome basket containing lots of treats and even for my dog. The space is so clean and peaceful and it really is an ‘escape’. Emma is there on hand if you need anything otherwise she leaves you to enjoy your time away and there’s lots to enjoy both inside the Escape and out and about in Scarborough. Lots of options to cook in with microwave and stove. For watching tv there’s full Sky which is a real bonus and the place leaves a lasting, happy impression for both humans and pets alike. Look forward to returning

Rose Cottage is detached, so it is quite private. There's parking for one car on the drive (and more space outside if needed). The laundry room is shared with us, and our shepherds hut which is set in the paddock adjoining the cottage. You can book this along side too - it sleeps 2. Guests are welcome to use the paddock too.

The Coach and Horses pub serves fantastic food and is walking distance. There are lots of lovely walks from our cottage including the Yorkshire Wolds Way. The traditional market town of Malton, with its now famous food festivals is only 5 miles away. We love Hunmanby Gap and Filey - a long, unspoiled stretch of beach, or you can visit the traditional resort of Scarborough which is 20 miles away. Castle Howard, Scampston Hall, Wolds Way Lavender, Flamingoland and Eden Camp are all close.
  • Pauline's place is the perfect hideaway in a lovely setting. Pauline was always available to answer queries and make us feel very welcome. The house was warm and cosy, the beds extremely comfortable, everything was sparkling clean and in top order and the decor just perfect for the setting. The hot tub was a wonderful experience even though we visited in winter time. We'd happily recommend Pauline's place to family and friends.

Pear Tree Cottage is part of a stunning collection of cottages positioned in the grounds of the estate of Thirley Cotes Farm in Harwood Dale near Scarborough. The owner has recently converted this former cart shed into a modern, two bedroomed property with stunning panoramic views from the rear of the cottage over the surrounding North Yorkshire Moors. It has been tastefully furnished and decorated throughout with great attention to detail provided, making this cottage the perfect choice for couples and small families. Positioned in a picturesque, tranquil location right in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park area yet close to the beautiful resorts along the Yorkshire Coastline. The private hot tub and enclosed garden complete with outside furniture are just perfect for chilling with a glass of wine or dining alfresco whilst relaxing after a busy day out. There are many things to enjoy within the grounds including exploring the four acres of picturesque woodland, or doing some wildlife watching at our pond and if you are lucky you will see our own resident Barn Owl. There is also a children’s play area, amenity field where you can play football and cricket and a games room which is ideal for keeping the children occupied. The property is all on one level and would therefore be suitable for people with limited mobility. The whole area is a haven for ramblers and cyclists with numerous pathways and tracks located nearby. We are very dog friendly and look forward to welcoming your pet as we have our own resident Labradors, Mia and Murphy. Pear tree Cottage is in a great location for accessing numerous beautiful places along the Coast including; the bustling seaside resort of Scarborough just 6 miles away with its excellent pubs and restaurants, and plenty of activities for entertaining the children, or the quaint village of Robin Hoods Bay 10 miles away with its cobbled streets and smuggling history and the historic Goth town of Whitby 15 miles away with its connections with Dracula and Captain James Cook where you can enjoy a boat trip to appreciate Whitby in all its glory. There are also many pretty villages dotted along the Yorkshire Moors that provide a perfect day out exploring like; Thornton-le-Dale, Pickering, Goathland, Grosmont, Egton, Danby and Lealhom. There are also many activities and attractions nearby for everyone to enjoy including; Dalby Forest with its many cycle tracks and walks, Go Ape tree adventure and Segway adventures, Eden Camp history Museum, Flamingo Land Zoo and theme park. The beautiful city of York is only 45 minutes away. PLEASE NOTE: Pear Tree Cottage is currently being completely renovated to an excellent standard throughout and our builders aren't particularly photogenic, hence the lambs instead! This means that unfortunately we cannot show any imagery until the cottage is completed around June 2019, but we're happy to discuss the works and we can assure our guests they will not be disappointed!
Pear Tree Cottage offers 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms all on the one level. Underfloor heating and log burner, all fuel, bed linen and towels are included. We welcome 1 large or 2 small dogs and we provide a travel cot and highchair on request. We provide quality teak furniture outside in the patio areas with seating for 4 people.
It is in a rural location with the benefit of experiencing peace and quiet and picturesque views yet within 10 minutes drive you can find all amenities you would require.

Hall Cottage is situated in the picturesque village of Levisham on the edge of the North York Moors. It is an ideal location for walking, visiting the coast or the many visitor attractions nearby. Levisham is a typical North York Moors village with a single street bounded by common land verges and stone cottages. The Horseshoe Inn sits at the top of the village, 200 yards across The Green from Hall Cottage.
When you visit Hall Cottage you will have your own entrance with a key. You will have the sole use of a sitting room which has a wood burning stove for those chilly evenings. Breakfast is served on a table in the sitting room. In the hallway which leads through to your bedroom and bathroom are tea and coffee making facilities. There is a fridge, kettle and toaster also in this area for your sole use.
We live in a very friendly village and everyone takes pride in the appearance of their cottages and the green outside. It is only a short walk up to the moor which is amazing in July and August, a mass of purple with the heather blooming.
  • I had a fantastic stay at Louise's cottage and wish I could have stayed more than just one night! She was a fantastic host and made me feel very welcome and comfortable. The cottage is 2 minutes walk from the local pub, The Horseshoe, and Louise can provide a very tasty breakfast. Highly recommended to anyone looking to stay in the area.

  • Our stay at Louise's was fantastic..warm, safe and very homely. Louise gave us a delicious breakfast and a great tip on a walk the following morning. We woke up to snow and Luke kindly dropped us back to Pickering so we could make our way back to London ...we were delighted and hope to be back to Levisham

  • What a lovely host - a nice stay in excellent family accommodation, spotlessly clean and everything seems to have been thought of. The road to the village is winding and a little up and down so be warned but well worth the fun.

  • This was the second time I’ve stayed at Helen’s and again it was comfortable, clean and welcoming. Great chats over a lovely breakfast too! Even Niall seemed pleased to see me (yep, he’s the dog!)

  • It was awesome to stay at Helen's place. she is so welcoming and her pets are lovely!!! if I'm around any time to the area, I'll try to book with her again

    Alvaro2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Nice clean room and Helen was a very hospitable host and made a great bacon butty too! I would happily stay there again.

    Nigel2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Helen’s place was absolutely terrific. I cannot express my gratitude in words, but I’ll do my best to satisfy AirBnB. I was welcomed into a lovely house with two dogs (although, on a daily basis Helen has just one, Nyle.) Personally, she has trained 8 guide dog puppies. Helen contributes to different charities in so many ways and surely plays an important role in her local council. This lead to some truly interesting discussions over a cup of tea. She offered me to have tea whenever I wanted, and to use any facilities as if I were at home. She has a lovely back garden with chairs and a gazebo for sunny days. As the room I originally booked was taken by her friendly lodger, Martina, Helen offered me her own bedroom in courtesy. It was amazing. A great bed with all the amenities you could imagine. She supplied me with a bath towel as well as some soap and easy access to the bathroom. The area is nice and is rather close to Malton’s city centre. When I wanted to bike and asked for places to rent bikes she even offered me to use her own bike. I took it to Castle Howard and had an uppermost delightful experience. All in all, Helens kindness and welcoming attitude makes this the place to stay in Malton. I thought about staying at The Talbot (luxury hotel), but I’d rather stay here again!

    Peter2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great host, very welcoming

    Jason2018-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Nice house, a little far from the city, less facilities around, cats, dogs and dogs are very cute.

    Yueyi2018-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely room just as pictured! It's up a couple sets of stairs (one narrow), so I won't recommend it for travelers with heavy/big suitcases. Helen was a great host; nice to talk to over breakfast, great with communicating, and allowed me to drop a bag off early the day I arrived. It's just over a 15 minutes walk from the train and bus stations. The buses were very good for getting to and fro from Eden Camp and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. I'd be very happy to stay again with Helen (and the dogs and cat, who aren't allowed up to the room)!

The gardens are beautiful and peaceful, and have been well kept, to ensure a relaxing environment. They are a real haven in a lovely Yorkshire town. Each cottage retains much character, with old stone arches, fireplaces and beams carefully retained. Immaculately maintained, warm, clean and superbly well-equipped with free high speed Wi-fi, these cottages are truly a ‘home from home’. No wonder so many visitors return time and again. The owners provide plenty of helpful information on the huge choice of places to visit, as well as menus from the local restaurants. There is also free entry to Ryedale Folk Museum for all guests. Rosedale (KAP) may be interconnected with Farndale (KAN) and booked together to provide accommodation for up to 11 guests. Hungate is best summed up by a visitor who wrote, "There was nothing more we could have wished for in a holiday home. We loved the fire, the free logs and little touches such as fresh flowers – it felt like home. The children loved the freedom of the gardens and could not wait to get home from our excursions! We loved coming and going through the heavy black gate into an oasis in this nice town."

  • The hut was just as described, quaint and cosy with all amenities that you needed. John was a pleasure to deal with, showing us how the fire and hot work whilst advising on the local eateries.

    Tina2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice little stay. John was very welcoming and helped us get set up just fine. The fire was really warm and kept the whole place toasty, though maintaining the right temperature was a little bit tricky (probably says more about our fire starting). He was a bit slow with texts so best to give him a bell if anything goes wrong. On the whole good value and well worth the visit.

The hot tub was nice and clean and had a gazebo to protect us from the rain, was a bit windy which kept blowing the gazebo over but can’t be helped! The hut was so warm with the fire which was lit for when we got there and the pub at the end of the garden is lovely. Good price for amazing home cooked food! Only down point was that I wish we could stay for longer!! Definitely booking again some time soon, was a relaxing break that we needed!

  • Absolutely stunning lodge. The hot tub was lovely and private. Modern decor, spotlessly clean with fantastic facilities. Lovely welcome basket on arrival. We stayed 3 nights for our honeymoon and it was perfect from start to finish. We didn’t want to leave. The grounds are stunning and we loved everything. Will definitely be returning and will be bringing the dog with us next time xx

This newly refurbished apartment is the perfect place to stay near to the centre of Scarborough or to use as a base to venture further afield. The apartment has modern decor throughout. It has a new central heating system and new furniture making it a warm and comfortable place to stay. You will have full use of the whole apartment and we hope you enjoy the amazing, far reaching castle and sea views. WiFi is installed and unlimited. This accommodation is ideal for up to 2 adults and 1 child.
  • Hannah is a fabulous host - I didn’t meet her in person but she is very responsive to messages and her place is just brilliant. It’s a lovely central apartment but set back from the main street so that noise isn’t an issue. The self check-in was really easy and the space itself is just lovely - my particular favourite spot was sitting at the breakfast-bar style window and watching the sunrise over the sea with a coffee. It’s well-equipped with everything that you could possibly need, and there’s a handy A4 ring binder with local information and also the manuals for every single electrical item/appliance in the apartment so that there’s nothing you could possible struggle with. There are also really thoughtful little touches - a pint of milk in the fridge and a welcome pack of goodies. I will definitely stay again on future visits - thank you

  • What a cute attic style flat. Reminiscent of an artists refuge of old but with all the mod cons. Everything works and the position in Scarborough is so handy to all the shops and the ocean. Highly recommend for a romantic hide away.

  • My stay at Hannah's was a delightful experience. I had to stay over for work, and to be able to return to a clean and homey flat at the end of the day made my week a lot more enjoyable. The flat was spacious with lovely furnishing, and our host was kind enough to provide us with some drinks and chocolate at our arrival. Overall, had a very positive and hassle-free experience and would love to return if work brought me to Scarborough again.

  • Comfortable and stylish accommodation ideal for exploring North Yorkshire. My daughter and I used it as a base to explore York, Whitby, Scarborough etc, before heading back each evening to the Hayloft for a Netflix film. We had a great little break, my only word of warning would be I found the double bed to be too soft, so on the second night my daughter slept in the big bed, and I was in a bunk bed as the mattress was more to my liking. We had a fab break and loved the thoughtful extras.
