  • Quirky little glamping experience. My wife and I had fun ! Thanks Humphrey

  • Lovely host and amazing location well worth a visit

    Jack2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Really pleased with our stay at the cabin, cosy and warm despite the inclement weather outside!

    Alison2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • The Cabin is a lovely place to stop - perfect for a pair or solo traveller looking for an indoor place to rest. Situated at the end of a garden, it is a secluded spot that is a restful way to spend an evening. Humphrey was very accommodating - made sure I could get in, had turned the heating on, set the heated blanket (!) up to come on in the evening, provided tea, coffee, breakfast and fruit. Bed was very comfy, shower was decent, and enough space to feel cosy while still having enough space to move around. Kitchen was well equipped. The local pub was just down the road and served up good food. Highly recommend if passing through Seatown.

  • Lovely, cosy cabin in a stunning location. You can hear the waves while you're falling asleep. Fab set up with cooker and shower, thoughtful supplies (milk, tea, orange juice etc.) Absolutely beautiful location with great pub next door!

    Sophie2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at this cabin, it was great to wake up to the sound of waves in the morning

    Will2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Humphrey’s place was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. It was walking distance to Golden Cap, the beach and the fabulous Anchor Inn where we ate by the fire. Humphrey’s cabin was quaint with everything that we needed for our stay. I was also thrilled to expose my 5 year old to her first ever exterior bathroom, very true to glamping. We had a wonderful stay and hope to come back one day soon!

Little Staddles is a contemporary cedar clad chalet, set in a pretty woodland, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind, with a huge cosy bed, woodburner, bath and kitchen area.
Little Staddles has been designed as a luxurious hideaway - a place where you can listen to the woodpeckers and owls and maybe spot a deer roaming in the woodland whilst soaking in the freestanding bath. Adjacent to our family home Little Staddles is the perfect retreat. Exterior Little Staddles is a separate building. It has its own access with private off road parking and a very private decked area with sun loungers, chimnea/bbq and a table. This space has been carefully landscaped with wild flowers and shrubs. The accommodation is located up steps and accessed from its balcony which has a beautiful sunny aspect. Interior There is a cosy seating area with LED television and a wood burner, including a large supply of logs. The open plan space also has a kitchen area with breakfast bar, sink, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, 2 ring gas hob and all you need to make breakfast or simple meals. There is a Bialetti espresso gas top maker, a cafetière and a lavazza milk heater and frothier to make the perfect coffee! There is a superking size bed with a sumptuous goose down duvet and mattress topper which should ensure a great nights sleep. The bathroom is indulgent, with a freestanding bath where you can relax and enjoy the woodland views and there is a very spacious walk in shower. There is also an ipod dock, Dab radio and wifi.
On our doorstep are some lovely walks into the woodlands and down to River Cottage H.Q. (which is a 30 minute walk away), or you can walk into Lyme Regis (which takes about an hour). A 10 minute drive will also have you in Lyme Regis, where you can stumble upon lovely cafes and restaurants, artisan shops and galleries, stroll along the seafront, find a fossil or two or simply sit and relax. This, the Jurassic Coastline is an area full of dramatic scenery and beautiful coastal walks. I will try and put photos of the local area and details of any local events on our (website hidden) page, Little Staddles
  • Claire is so great with communication and there for anything you need. This is probably the calmest and most relaxing Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in and just what I needed. Spotless, beautiful and cosy. Hope to return in the future. So lovely to feel like you’re out in the sticks but just a short drive from many great locations. I particularly loved the golden cap walk suggested by Claire. Such a great stay.

    Lauren2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at the hideaway. Would highly recommend for a cosy break. The road up the accommodation is quite steep but is fine for a car.

    Emily2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is really a top notch Airbnb. Its stylish and super comfortable, ideal for a weekend break for 2. The place is very modern with well designed features and ameneties. Its one open plan space (bed, living and kitchen) but is not what you'd describe as a studio. The thoughtful architecture makes it feel like separate rooms. The bathroom is really special, lovely fittings and immaculately presented. Loved it! Claire is also charming and very helpful.

    Richard2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful little place. Very serene surroundings and perfectly situated to explore Dorset and Devon.

    Patrick2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect hide away for 2. The apartment is compact so wonderfully cosy, but at the same time has every amenity you could need. Stunning location. Perfect for River Cottage (walkable but would only recommend it in the summer) less than 5 minutes drive away.

    Kevin2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • By far the nicest air bnb we have been too. Beautiful venue, perfect to relax and unwind. Very clean and modern with lots of little personal touches. Super comfy bed and the most amazing bathroom ever! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it highly.

    Dan2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We would stay again in a heartbeat! Absolutely gorgeous!

    Nina2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time at Little Staddles! Perfect location and such a lovely apartment - beautifully decorated with so many nice touches. The pictures don’t do it justice, it is so modern and luxurious! We will definitely be back - it was the perfect mini break for 2! Thanks so much Claire x

One of the most popular properties in the UK on Airbnb! Great value for this amazing cosy log cabin. This property is extremely popular and has amazing reviews. Comfy with amazing views make this the perfect place to stay on holiday. Valley lodge is tucked away with lovely views of the valley and the sea beyond, secluded with a Sunny open plan living room, kitchen/dining and sofas around the wood burner. Delightful walks from the cabin and Very near Lyme Regis on the beautiful Jurassic Coast.
Coronavirus- You could quite happily self isolate here as this property is away from lots of houses and people but you are not very far away from civilisation if you need anything !!! Please be assured that due to the current situation I am making sure this property is cleaned thoroughly with AnitVirus products and every door knob , light switch and surface has been given special attention. This lovely property is completely self contained and there is only 1 confirmed case in the whole of Dorset ( 14/3/20). Whilst I appreciate the huge concern I am wanting guests to understand that you can come here to get away from it all and relax and spend some quality time in a beautiful location. As soon as you walk into the cabin, you know that there is something special about being surrounded by wood. The open plan living space works really well too. It means that whoever is cooking can still chat with friends and family while they are relaxing on the sofas. So no one is left out. And the views are amazing. The cabin is open plan living, with 2 double bedrooms a shower room and utility with washer/dryer. We will leave you some kindling and a few logs for the woodburner. The petrol station sells wood if you need more. There is Parking outside for two cars. Decking with picnic table. Enclosed garden with grass lawns. Bring your BBQ and entertain amongst these wonderful views. You can all Relax in the knowledge that your dogs and children will be safe from escaping with a good secure fence all around the property. Guests are given complete privacy. We are around, however, if there is a problem. Uplyme is very convenient. It is easy to get to from the main road and Lyme Regis is only 5 minutes by car. There is a lovely walk from the cabin down the river valley to the sea (map in the cabin). It takes about 40 minutes on foot. Other beautiful places to walk, like Golden Cap, also on the coast are not too far away. Lyme itself is charming and quirky. it is the most beautiful town and extremely popular. Lyme Regis has made the top ten places to stay by both The Times and The Guardian and we have many a famous visitor staying here and ITV’ s travel expert ‘Simon Calder’ has visited regularly and highly recommends this gorgeous town. Lyme Regis is unspoilt and with its amazing scenery and strong arty vibe it remains one of the most searched for places to stay in the UK. It has lots of independent shops and cafes too which make it a perfect place to holiday or visit. The local petrol station in Uplyme has a brilliant shop and post office if you need anything quickly. The best places to buy food are either Axminster where there is a good butcher, or Felicity's Farm shop on the way to Bridport but the farm shop in Kilmington is where us locals shop and it is a great place to buy gifts and find special food and it even has a fresh fishmongers and florist ! Superstores- Waitrose in Bridport. Tesco’s stores are in Axminster and Seaton and Lyme Regis has a smaller Tescos and Coop There is a bus from Uplyme to Lyme Regis or Axminster. The nearest mainline station is at Axminster which is about 10 minutes away. There is parking for two cars outside the log cabin. We provide bedlinen and bath towels, but not beach towels. So please bring your own if you want to spend time on the beach. Lyme has a lovely sandy area of beach, right by the pub for adults and safe for children. The cabin is wonderful and we have had some fantastic reviews. This beautiful gem is one of the most popular properties on Airbnb in the uk and our repeat guests that come back each year is testament that this place is pretty special! The area is ideal for holidays and there is lots to do or if you prefer you can do absolutely nothing except relax , read a good book with a glass of wine and just enjoy the peace and tranquility of the cabin. If you want a holiday with straight lines , minimal decor and lots of Crome then the cabin is not for you but if you like warmth, cosy , rustic surroundings , lots of nature, stunning views , good pubs and fantastic food, then this place is ideal !
There is also lots do to locally and there are some wonderful places to eat out in Lyme Regis. There is Hix's famous seafood restaurant and River cottage in Axminster are both amazing. Also there is lots of good restaurants and pubs in Lyme Regis and there is also a great Indian restaurant in Lyme , a Thai restaurant and on the sandy part of the beach there are two highly recommended pubs called The standard and The Harbour. You will find these are some great places to eat and drink whilst enjoying the stunning views which overlook the world famous cobb. Pub of the year is just down the road which is The Anchor Inn in Seatown Places for children- Lyme museum Sea world, Weymouth Crealy Adventure park ( rides , rollercoasters and a great day out) - about 25 minutes away between Sidmouth and Exeter. The donkey Sanctuary nr Sidmouth Abbotsbury Swannery Go climb - Exeter Charmouth tunnel - which is very local to here has a shooting range and a tree tops course.
  • A delightful and cosy log cabin. Very comfy bed. Wonderful area. A place to escape and relax. Great walks to Lyme Regis.

  • We had a great stay at Caroline’s place. She had left homemade bread, granola, muffins and brownies as well as butter, eggs, juice and milk in the fridge. We were looking for a cosy cottage to spend a few relaxing days reading and walking and the cottage was perfect for that. Small touches like the robes and slippers that were left were lovely. It is also a short drive to Lyme Regis for a great fish and chips, local restaurants and shops. I would definitely stay here again!

    Lucy2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • A really lovely little place, good walking, the beach is great and almost deserted. Easy drive to Lyme Regis or Seaton. The hospitality included some really nice touches that we appreciated.

  • A lovely cottage in an amazing location.

  • A perfect little hideaway. The cottage felt so homely. We spent a great christmas here enjoying being sat by the fire. Caroline was an excellant host; from checking in with us to all of the delicious homebaked goodies there to welcome us. This is a well maintained, well set up and well equipped cottage in a beautiful location.

    Emma2019-12-27T00:00:00Z

Caroline provided delicious (organic) breakfast things and little treats to enjoy after a long day's walking. I can't wait to come back again, thank you for a wonderful stay!

Stunning, quiet little cottage nestled in the hills of Marshwood Vale 3 miles from the sea. Sip wine on the terrace surrounded by wildlife, stargaze from your bed or visit all the wonderful things Lyme Regis, Bridport and this area have to offer.
A delightful little cottage at the edge of a quiet village set in the Marshwood Vale. Wonderful walking through the vale, to the sea, or on the national trust land along the coast, all from your front door or a very short drive. Maps in the cottage and we are happy to help with routes. Although for two it is very spacious, with a large double bedroom, skylight above the bed, (with a blackout blind if you prefer no starlight!) large cottage kitchen diner, sitting room, wonderful bathroom with extra deep enamel bath and drenching shower. Outside you have the decked, covered terrace with masses of seating, comfy chairs and dining chairs/table, and patio heaters. The house is full of character and light, a truly restful place to be with masses to do on your doorstep. The cottage allows for a dog or two, the garden has a dog proof fence around it...unless they are high jumpers. We don't allow them in the bedroom and there is a gate to stop them.
Bonhays Barn is ideally situated for the Jurassic Coast, wonderful walking, watersports and the vibrant local towns of Bridport and Lyme Regis. Bridport with its markets (Weds/Sat), vintage section and wonderful Cafes and restaurants. Lyme Regis is famous for its beauty as a seaside town, restaurants and many festivals throughout the summer.
  • Very cute cottage, well equipped and clean with lots of thoughtful touches such as local maps, games, DVDs and a fantastic mini library! Lovely peaceful outside area and a great base for hiking.

    Sarah2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely comfortable cottage; kitchen is a joy to cook in and there’s a lovely deck to sit on and enjoy the sunshine. Quiet & peaceful place to stay!

    Ciara2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay here. It's very peaceful, tranquil, with beautiful views and a great location for exploring the area. Tony was very welcoming with info on local walks etc and gave us a lovely breakfast hamper. The cottage itself is warm, cosy and perfect for two people. Highly recommended.

    Jonathan & Lisa2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • What a fabulous discovery! This cottage is perfect for those who wish to escape the rat race and unwind completely immersed in nature. Charmouth and Lyme Regis are only a short drive away - great for fossil hunters! Sophie and Tony are excellent hosts - we were welcomed warmly and offered loads of local advice and recommendations. Whilst we knew they were on hand if we needed anything, we appreciated being left us to ourselves to relax and enjoy the space fully. The delicious welcome basket is a yummy and delightful touch, thank you! The cottage has everything one could ask for and was lovely and warm despite Storm Dennis raging. We loved waking up to bird song and cows in the fields. The view from the patio is breathtakingly beautiful - on a warmer day I could see myself sitting there for hours sketching or reading. All in all, we had a terrific stay and hope to return another time. Thank you.

    Amanda2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is an outstanding place. Everything in the description is spot on. Very warm and cosy and much more spacious than I had imagined from the pictures. The surrounding countryside is beautiful as well. Thoroughly recommend. I really did not want to leave.

    Frances2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is lovely, spacious for a couple and very cosy. The layout of the cottage allows for various activities without feeling like you’re on top of each other- for example my partner watched one of the many DVD’s they supply for their guests while I sat in the kitchen doing a puzzle. We were both able to do our own thing while still being in each other’s company and chatting from the kitchen table to the living room. The bedroom upstairs is spacious and clean, the window being in the roof allows for star gazing at night which is an added bonus! It is a 15 minute journey into town (Bridport)and a 15 minute drive into Lyme Regis. There is a pub about 2 minute drive from the cottage which is good for a cheeky pint or 2! Both Sophie and Tony were fantastic hosts, even though the cottage was closed to their house they never imposed. It was nice to be left to our own devises but they were also happy to answer any questions and give advice on what is good to do around the local area. We will definitely be back and have no doubts in recommending this as a place to stay to friends and family. Great getaway, great cottage and even better hosts!

Peaceful self-contained studio apartment adjoining owners' eco-house set in its own woodland and wild meadows with spectacular sea views from garden. Beautiful walks to Lyme (2 miles) & River Cottage (1 mile). Stunning retreat in nature. Walkers/bird-lovers/foodies paradise. 1 of 2 studios with plenty of outside space. This is the larger of the 2 with a bath instead of a shower, a bigger kitchen and distinct areas for kitchen and bedroom.
A former artist's studio, the apartment is a modern airy space within a wild, woodland setting. It has been newly decorated (and redecorated January 2017) throughout and has a particularly spacious bathroom with a large comfortable bath and views out to the woods to the south and a wild flower bank and natural spring to the west. It is perfectly located for some truly wonderful walks: the East Devon Way adjoins the property and there are several beautiful routes through the countryside to Lyme Regis, including the River Way along the River Lyme into the centre of town. It's about an hour's walk to the Cobb or to the Town Mill cluster of shops, restaurants and galleries or 10 minutes' drive. You can have a great day on the beach or walking and then come home to the seclusion of the woods and meadows. We have some of the best bird and wildlife around. You will hear owls calling in the evenings and maybe spot a badger snuffling about in the garden. Bird-feeders are positioned opposite the bedroom and bathroom windows so you can watch in comfort. We are in the process of restoring the wild meadows and have a mass of wild orchids, bluebells, foxgloves and native daffodils, depending on the time of year. There are views of Lyme Bay and the island of Portland from the top meadow where a bench is provided for your use. The room is designed mainly for 2 people but we do have a z-bed (fold-out bed) to accommodate an extra person. The main bed is a king-size with a slatted base and a soft reflex foam mattress. The bedlinen is 100% Egyptian cotton. We now have a new TV for the room and a music system with a cable to plug in your phone/ipod. There is a DVD player in the room.
This is a fantastic setting for a holiday with the gorgeous and wild beaches of East Devon and West Dorset on the doorstep, the outstanding Jurassic Coast with its National Trust walks, fossil hunting, fishing, sailing and kayaking opportunities, and a huge network of footpaths and bridleways immediately accessible from the house. It is also foodie heaven. River Cottage HQ at Park Farm is just the other side of the woods and can be reached by road or on foot. It's about 30/40 mins walk up the lane and through the woods. The more informal River Cottage Canteen is just 2 miles away in Axminster. In Lyme Regis (also 2 miles) is Mark Hix's Oyster House with knock-out views across the bay to Portland and also the Harbour Inn right on the front which does fantastic fish and has a seating area on the beach. There are lots of lovely bakeries and coffee spots, a theatre and many quirky independent shops. Lyme Regis, Axminster, Bridport and Seaton are all great little towns with their own characters.
  • A lovely, peaceful woodland spot. (We saw 17 different species of garden birds in just three days)! Perfect for a peaceful retreat away from the busy world.

    Harry2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Tucked away up a bumpy road lays a set of grand gates that open automatically on your arrival. As you drive through the gates be careful of the centre piece gate stopper, if your car is low, otherwise you'll hear the same noise we did! There was plenty of space to park our car and Chris was very kind and showed us where our accommodation was, giving us a brief explanation of how to use the facilities. He also was able to tell us how to find our way into Lyme Regis on foot with a recomendation of a great coffee shop. We enjoyed our stay....Thank you.

    Abi2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning and stylish studio, good value for money and kind hosts. We loved it and we will be back when we can. The space is bigger than it looks in photos and peaceful. We woke up and watched birds and squirrels out the window. Great time out for busy people!!

  • A superbly equipped haven in beautiful surroundings with thoughtful and generous hosts.

    Suzy2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • A cosy and comfortable hideaway up the hill from Yawl. A great location for exploring the surrounding woodlands, or a walk down to Lyme. The small kitchen has all you need and there were complimentary biscuits and milk. Recommended. Thanks Jules and Chris

    Carl2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, bright and modern. A warm welcome from beginning to end. Chris & Jules live in a beautiful part of the country :) Would stay here again!

    Lucy2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a glorious place to stay in a fabulous setting. Jules was really helpful explaining the walks and chris surpassed all expectation by helping to start my dead car. The place was so pretty and spotless and the sauna was a great extra which I took advantage of. If you were staying right in Lyme you might never discover the wonderful river lym walk that I went on to get into town following the river until it reached the Lyme mill. A truly wonderful autumn retreat!

  • All of the reviews do not lie with this place! The most attentive and lovely hosts, and the space they have it just unbelievable gorgeous. Jules was really helpful and recommended the best food place we've visited in a long time. The area was great for lots of nice walks and just up the road from lyme regis. Cant wait to stay again!

A friendly welcome into our warm and cosy log cabin set in the cherry orchard along with the use of our spa with the big Jacuzzi and Sauna. The Cabin is set in a lovely cherry orchard in a coastal village on a quiet and historic lane with views of the cliffs. We have had literally hundreds of happy guests who all enjoy the peace and tranquility of our cherry orchard. It is set within the village and so very near great pub/restaurants and shop. It really is a cabin in the orchard!
Enjoy the highly insulated and toasty warm cabin in winter, or lie in the Orchard under the trees. The cabin is 7m x 4m, and you can Barbecue, and visit the Beach and experience the fine local pubs that serve great food and ale. There are 3 pubs within walking distance! Explore the Majestic Cliffs of the Jurassic coast you may even encounter a fossil if you're lucky. Discover BRIDPORT known as “foodie heaven” tasting lots of local cuisine, visit picturesque Lyme Regis and enjoy getting blown off the famous cob. Excellent opportunities for outdoor sports with ample walking, running and cycling trails. Note you are really close to nature i.e. the odd bird and spider make their presence felt as it really is a log cabin in an orchard :-)
The famous Jurassic Coast of Dorset has been awarded World Heritage Site status. The Dorset and East Devon coastline where countless fossils have been found is a remarkable place. The coast includes the highest point on the south coast right here at Seatown of Golden Cap and the historic nearby resort of Lyme Regis. If you like food we are situated in a Foodie heaven, and Bridport will hopefully ring a bell… it is home to the original River Cottage where Hugh started his quest of local, home grown and foraged stuff. Love food, love West Dorset! You'll find fantastic produce grown in the area and that chefs did not wait for celebrities to tell them to cook local. Take the Riverside two-course meal from £16.50 in West Bay, Bridport's harbour. Bang in the middle of this unpretentious fishing harbour, it looks like a large wooden hut sitting on the river Brit. Fish is the speciality, of course, straight from Lyme Bay. Also the Anchor Pub in Burton, for great food, and the Three Horseshoes... Another good place to enjoy fresh seafood is the Hive Beach Café in Burton Bradstock also fantastic. These guys are committed to local. There's something tasty for all purses.
  • Warm and cosy cabin. Handy information for the local area and a hot tub too.

    Liz2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous space, perfect for what we wanted and the hot tub was an excellent bonus. William very helpful and flexible to our late check in time. Very much enjoyed

    Amelia2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at the Orchard was absolutely perfect. The place was very clean and tidy, it was just the most beautiful tiny house experience. The facilities were top notch. Really enjoyed the hot tub and sauna, everything was really good quality and great hospitality from William. got a great massage from Tanya, she was so lovely and hospitable too. Location was fantastic too, a short walk from the beach and lovely countryside walks nearby. The place was really quiet, peaceful & zen, it was lovely to see squirrels running around the trees and owls tooting at night! will definitely be coming back again in the future!

    Catherine2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Had an absolutely amazing stay at Will's cabin. Complete flexibility with use of hot tub and sauna. Had a fantastic full body massage from Tanya. Lovely guy. Would 100% recommend.

    Elizabeth2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Me and a friend had a lovely stay at Will's cherry orchard cabin. Great location with just a short walk to the beach for a wonderful hilly walk. There cabin was cosy and warm. The hot tub and sauna was a brilliant added extra. Would definitely come again

    Laura2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place. Super sweet, perfect for a little holiday. The village, the walks, the beach... everything around it is beautiful. Highly recommended.

    Ricardo2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Nice cosy cabin in a great location, within walking distance to the coast. The Spa has a hot tub and sauna for you to use which is an added bonus. There is also an option to pay for a massage from Tanya, a holistic therapist. My partner chose to have a full body massage and was really pleased she did! Bridport is approx a 10 minute drive and has all shopping facilities that you will need, with all the different supermarkets. There are several nice pubs close by which do really nice food. The George is at the bottom of the drive, a 2 minute walk which does great food and has local beer on tap. Will was a great host and provided everything we needed, including extra glassware, etc. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to others.

    Nathan2019-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • The place was very relaxing perfect for a little getaway from the busy city. Just a walk to the beach with an amazing view. The pubs suggested were wonderful as well. William was a very helpful host. He answered my messages quickly. Hospitality at its best!

Stunning modern studio flat with stunning seaviews from Golden Cap and Lyme bay to Portland Bill. It has its own private terrace and boasts a fully integrated kitchen with all appliances including a dishwasher, fridge, microwave, oven and hob. There is also a modern fully tiled shower room with underfloor heating
The Studio is part of the main property and has it’s own entrance private terrace and garden .Based in the pretty little village of Charmouth with the famous fossil beach. Ideal for complete relaxation. It has parking . 5 minutes drive to Lyme .
Charmouth is a charming village right on the Juassic coast featuring Golden Cap, the highest point on the south coast, which has wild & wonderful walks in and around the Dorset village of Charmouth. Charmouth is at the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coastline. One mile to the east of the Regency town of Lyme Regis, Charmouth has its own distinct identity and is renowned worldwide for its fossil beaches and famous museum. The village has traditional pubs, shops, post office, chemist and playing fields and eateries. It's not just the fossils that make Charmouth such an attractive holiday destination. The beach is safe for children of all ages as it shelves very gently and low tide reveals wide expanses of sand and many rock pools. Away from beach there are spectacular cliff and inland walks and a centuries old landscape of meadows and hedge rose surrounding the village. For the more leisurely walkers or picnickers, the rolling Devon countryside & Trinity Hill make the perfect setting for an afternoon stroll. Or just pop down to the beach to find yourself a fossil. A stones throw away is Lyme Regis; one of the Jurassic Coasts most famous coastal towns, boasting a micro-brewery, the Marine Theatre & the setting for River Cottage's fishing trips, from the world's famous Cobb Harbor. The rugged coastline is magnificent & has been awarded World Heritage Site status, just the most magical setting. Our recommendations for Restaurants and Pubs Charmouth Fish and chips is seriously good anytime. Great for Sunday Lunch, The Harbour Inn on the front in Lyme Regis, amazing roast beef. Best for breakfast, the small cafe next door to the Harbour Inn, they even do a Mexican style breakfast! The kitchen In The Symonsbury Estate ( Stunning walks and breathtaking views from Colmers hill and Hell lane, recently featured on Julia Bradbury Tv documentary) The Hive Cafe at Burton Bradstock are great for breakfast and lunch ...where you can also eat Oysters and Lobsters in the evening, its location is right on the beach and has everything you could wish for. Also the famous Hix cafe if you like sea food., based again in Lyme Regis ( less than ten minutes in the car from us ) Lyme have a new Vegetarian restaurant called Tierra kitchen, which has fantastic food. The anchor Pub in Seatown is a great choice, The lovely walk over Stone Barrow to get there, also provides sunning views of the coast. English wine is highly under-rated, take a tour of Furleigh Estate& if you are not already, you will be converted. This is home to some of the country's best red, white, pink & sparkling. The hustle & bustle of nearby market towns of Bridport & Honiton will totally overwhelm your senses. On a Saturday, the market is brimming with vintage, retro & antiques & all the cheeky dealers that are coming down from London to grab themselves a bargain... if you are a keen haggler this is the place to be. NB. Make sure you pop down to see Sharon at Old Albion, an absolute gem in this vintage paradise! . If you are here during the right time of year & prefer to take making wine & spirits into your own hands, you can head out on your own foraging for elderberries, damsons & sloes or take a guided foraging tour. For the more adventurous, there are plenty of watersports to be had in Lyme Regis & West Bay, paddle boarding, swimming, surfing, kiteboarding, ribbing, sailing & deep sea fishing Check out (URL HIDDEN) for fantastic blogs about the whole area

It was a real home from home as it was so comfortable and had everything that we could need including a lovely welcome pack of goodies. It was great to meet Howard on arrival too and have a personal guide of the studio. A great place to stay and enjoy the Jurassic coast.

  • If you want a peaceful and tranquil getaway from it all with breathtaking views yet just a short walk down to the beach, then this is the place to go! Very clean and packed with all the necessities you need to make a perfect getaway. The picture you see is exactly the view you get from the sofa and nothing better to enjoy that with in a loved one and a nice bottle of wine. Highly recommended.

  • Had a lovely stay, very clean property with everything you need. The beach is walking distance away, and can be seen from the studio. There is a pub round the corner, who did a lovely lunch for us with very generous portions. Even though the weather we had was storms, rain and wind, the property was cosy to stay in and relax.

    Harriet2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay at Howard and Wendy’s. Really nice studio in a great location, just a short walk from the beach!

    Sam2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • What the site can't tell you is quite how lovely the view is, and quite how well the studio is sorted out for appreciating it. Golden Cap and Lyme Bay never looked finer.

  • Well looked after by the host. Perfect location for the beach.

  • Nigel was approachable and it felt fine to contact him to query anything. The location is awesome for the beach few minutes walk away. You can hear the sea from outside his house. The accommodation was very clean and could not fault this in any way. Breakfast was well cooked and selection of drinks was vast. I loved my ginger and lemon tea, and my dad certainly loved the Nespresso on offer (sorry if he cleaned you out! ;-)) Nigel as a host was warm and welcoming, we came to Charmouth to fossil hunt so it great that he had some good knowledge of this and the surrounding areas. All in all, this is a little gem and we will be back to stay again. Thank you!

Charmouth has a rich history going back hundreds of years, and was once on the main road from London to Exeter. As a consequence of this historical strategic location the village has seen many important visitors over the years with King Charles II staying in the village during his escape to France, and Jane Austen who, as a regular visitor, once wrote that Charmouth was “a nice place for sitting in unwearied contemplation”. Fortunately these days the busy roads bypass the village, and Charmouth retains the charm and tranquility it has enjoyed for hundreds of years. From cafes by the beach to the pubs, restaurants and takeaways in the village, Charmouth has a wide selection of choices for both daytime and evening refreshments. Award winning and michelin starred restaurants are a short distance from Charmouth. Many of them priding themselves on using organic and fresh produce. Whatever cuisine takes your fancy we have many delicious restaurants, cafe's and pub's a stroll or short drive away. Charmouth beach was nominated by BBC Countryfile Magazine as one of the ‘UK’s five Best Beaches 2017’ and is the only UK entry in the National Geographic ’21 Best Beaches in the World 2017’. Charmouth is also a short distant from other famous and equally beautiful beaches: Lyme Regis, West Bay, Burton Bradstock, Westbexington, Chesil Beach, Seaton, Weymouth and many more! Charmouth has an abundance of things to do. We are spoilt with our markets, food festival, fun fair, Lifeboat festival, carnival, music festival, cider festival, Dorset's arts festival, Red Arrow and fossil festival. If it's activities you prefer we have swimming, hiking fishing, sailing, canoeing, body boarding, fossil hunting, nature trails, craft sessions and many more! Or if you just want to relax and surround yourself with our beautiful landscape we can definitely accommodate. Beautiful areas to see are of course Charmouth beach, River Char, Golden Cap, Bridport Market, Exeter Cathedral, Durdle Door, Beer quarry caves, Cheddar Gorge, Abbortsbury Swannery, Colmer's Hill, Forde Abbey, Mapperton Gardens, Lulworth Cove, Dancing Ledge are just a few of pretty places to visit. All of the towns outside Charmouth have some high street shops. Our closest train station is Axminster station which is less than a 10 minute drive away and can take you directly to London Waterloo or Exeter St Davids.
  • We had a lovely time in Jackie's and Gareth's little cabin in Charmouth. The cabin is compact but clean and comfortable, and has everything you need. The hosts had left bread, eggs, milk and biscuits as well as coffee and tea for our arrival, which was a lovely touch. The main house's garden is simply beautiful and the beach is just a short walk away. Highly recommended.

  • Lovely place in the perfect location, it had everything we were looking for. We took two dogs with us and had no issues with space or eating out, the whole area is very dog friendly! Jackie was the perfect host, left us some goodies for when we got there replied to quickly to any questions we had. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

    Danielle2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jackie was a fantastic host, the place was gorgeous and perfect for a weekend away, or even longer. The wood burner makes it super cosy and the bread etc provided is such a lovely touch which made all the difference. We wouldn't hesitate to both recommend and return to Kingfisher.

  • A lovely space, well equipped and heated and a super host with lots of local knowledge. The bed space has limited head height and a steep ladder but well worth the effort for views to the sea and night sky and a comfortable bed. the sitting and dining area are spacious with comfortable seating and good lighting It feels very private and the parking space and garden area excellent with table and seating set in the orchard for sole use of guests. It is a five minute walk to the sea with maps and local guide books available. We would definitely visit again.

  • Great location for the beautiful Jurassic coast and inland walks

    Jane2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • We spent Christmas in the annex visiting family in Charmouth and it was lovely. Clean, modern yet cosy space with a fabulous large TV, complete with Netflix etc. The kitchen was very well kitted out (but bring your own tea bags & coffee) and the bathroom was clean and spacious. You can see the starry Jurassic coast skies through the windows at night and if you’re not confident with the ladder to the bed, the sofa bed is large and comfortable too.

    Annabelle2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful cosy few nights at the annexe in December. What a lovely clean tidy little house to come back to when the weather was so fierce outside! Everything was as it should be and we enjoyed the humongous TV!thank you Eric for an enjoyable stay. We hope to come back again in the near future.

This lovely Grannyflat/Annex is located in Charmouth, one of the beautiful and characteristic villages on the Jurassic coast. Whilst the property is located behind our house you will feel like you are staying in your very own little place, surrounded by our beautiful garden and overlooking the valley. No matter whether you are looking for a sundowner or a nice walk - the lovely, sandy beach is only a 10min walk down the street and the local pub "The Royal Oak" is even closer.
The Grannyflat is in our garden and has it's own entrance through a side passage. There are two "bedrooms" in this little house, one on the ground level and one in the gallery under the roof. The upper bedroom has a king bed in it, is very cosy and especially exciting for children to sleep in. The downstairs bedroom is equipped with a double bed and overlooks the vegetable garden. The open kitchen is equipped with everything you might need during your stay. Kettle, toaster, fridge and a counter oven will make your stay here pretty self-sufficient. There will be continental breakfast ingredients available. There is NO TV in this property. If there is anything else you need - just ask and I am sure I can help.
Charmouth is a little village with a handful of typical english pubs and shops. The convenience shop is open 7 days a week and will provide you with most of what you require on a daily basis. During low tide one can walk to Lyme Regis in about 40mins. Lyme Regis is a small town that offers loads of restaurants and cafes.

  • Beautiful clean space, very peaceful and Anna was quick to respond with any questions.

    Katie2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Anna’s place was perfect for my daughter and I. My daughter was thrilled with the lofted 2nd sleeping room. Anna even had a few stuffed animals out which my 5 year old promptly played with. Anna had the perfect touches like milk for tea and even mini haribo for us as treats. The comforter in the main bedroom was super comfy. We had a great stay! Thank you!

  • A quiet and charming granny flat, perfect for the beach.

    Rob2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Full of character, a very clean and comfortable place to stay in a lovely location.

    Thom2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a tiny but perfectly formed little cottage in the back garden, which is very pretty with good views. Whilst it's in the garden, Anna ensures that you have good privacy, with your own entrance where you can come and go any time without bothering anyone. Simply but nicely furnished and decorated with cosy underfloor heating, a comfortable bed (I didn't try the bed in the mezzanine bedroom, but I expect kids would love the adventure of having a loft all of their own). The little kitchen is enough to cook a decent meal. The bathroom has a good wet area with shower. The location is towards the Lyme ned of Charmouth, but just a few minutes from the well-stocked local shop, which stays open until 9pm. Also, a few minutes from Charmouth beach and a good few lovely walks. All in all, a great little place for someone on their own, a couple or a family with small children. Particularly appreciated was the hospitality package that Anna left, and also that the flat is spotlessly clean.

  • What a great find! A cozy and quirky property, containing everything you need for a great stay and shine thoughtful touches besides. Communication was quick and helpful, and Charmouth is beautiful, even in a January storm!

Cosy character cottage in the heart of a historic village and only a 8 minute walk from the famous fossil beach on the Jurassic Coast. Local amenities include bakery, butchers, pubs, chemist and shop however buses run frequently from outside of the property to nearby Lyme Regis.
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms, both with kingsize beds, although one of these beds can be split into two small singles. There is also a sofa bed in the small living room downstairs. Please note, there are some internal steps both upstairs and downstairs. Following out from the good sized kitchen/diner is a paved courtyard garden with outside table and chairs as well as a BBQ. Roadside parking is usually available outside of the property. However, there is a public car park in Charmouth (Lower Sea Lane) that can be used if this is a problem. Available for all guests: Wifi Washing machine Tumble dryer Stair gate High chair Travel cot Small selection of children's toys, books and dvds Board games
  • Fabulous cottage and perfect for our stay with our toddler !

    Jemima2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, welcoming, cosy cottage. Perfect location - quiet and ideal for getting away from it all but equally central in Charmouth to access beach, shops, pubs and surrounding bays such as Lime. Would definitely visit again.

    Louise2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really beautifully maintained cottage in a delightful village in the heart of the Jurassic Coast. There were lovely thoughtful touches like milk in the fridge, flowers, biscuits and a bottle of wine, the beds are very comfortable and the whole feeling of the cottage is homely. The big kitchen is a real bonus as is the outside space. Very close to Charmouth Beach and Lyme Regis and easy to travel on to the amazing coastline and places like Lulworth Cove. A couple of days wasn't really enough time to do it all justice. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

    Rebecca2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic cottage in a great central location in charmouth. Was perfect for a family holiday with a toddler. Was great that they provided a high chair, stair gate and travel cot as this saved having to take these items, thank you.

    Emily2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is attractive and well maintained, it is well placed to access all the attractions of Charmouth.

    Jacqui2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely traditional seaside cottage. Although small, everything is well laid out making it seem larger than it is. So plenty of room and comfortable for a family of all ages. The cottage is perfectly located in Charmouth village and only a short walk to the beach. Charmouth is very picturesque and, for it's size, has a good selection of amenities.

    Sarah2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Wistaria Cottage- great to be so close to the centre of Charmouth and easy walk to the beach. The cottage is beautifully furnished and with everything you’ll need for your stay- including chairs for the beach! The courtyard garden is a lovely place to relax at the end of the day. Thoroughly recommend this lovely cottage to any family wanting to explore the beautiful Jurassic coast.

    Helen2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Wistaria Cottage is a super cute cottage on the Jurassic Coast. The communication with the owner was quick and uncomplicated. There is a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom and two bedrooms. Not to mention a nice little garden. The beds were very comfortable. The whole cottage is decorated with cute details and the small seating niches in the windows in the living room and nursery were our favorite places. The kids loved the fossil bags and the great Dino bedding. Everything was there what you need and we really enjoyed our time there. Thank you, see you soon ...

We are walking distance to the beach which is part of the Jurassic Coast. You’ll also love my place because of the location and privacy of your own annexe. A kitchenette provides a fridge, toaster, kettle and microwave (feel free to heat up an evening meal or bring home a takeaway). A help yourself continental breakfast consists of cereals, breads, homemade preserves, fresh fruit salad , yogurt and berry Bircher muesli, ready and waiting in your fridge, to have at your leisure.
  • I booked this accommodation for my Mum and Dad to have a peaceful retreat away from the big family gathering in the centre of Charmouth. They loved it! Sparkling clean, friendly host, special touches and off street parking. It was their first airbnb cottage and future trips will have a lot to live up to!

    Trudy2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect. Even better than expected. My 83 year old father and his wife were staying there for a couple of days and were so impressed with everything, from Tracey’s warm welcome, the constant warmth of the place to the amazing breakfast, treats which they weren’t expecting. Highly recommended.

    Lucy2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lots of lovely touches! Super clean and cozy! I would definitely recommend this place. Tracey is really friendly and welcoming.

    Roberta2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great overnight stay with Tracey in Charmouth and were made to feel very welcome. The annex is bigger than it looks in the photos and she has a nice touch in terms of interior design (e.g. White Company linen.) We had already decided to eat in but checked out the two pubs, both of which were in walking distance, so either way you’ll be content. Charmouth itself has a surprising number of shops and it’s well worth walking down to the beach (around 10 minutes) to see if you can find any fossils. It’s an ideal base from which to explore the Jurassic coastline, and we will certainly stay with Tracey again in the future.

    Roger2019-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • The Annex is one of the best Airbnb's we've stayed in. Thoughtfully laid out, spotlessly clean, all the things you need and some wonderful touches (especially the breakfast). It is private and perfect for two people. We only stayed one night, but I regret not basing ourselves there for more of our walk. Tracey is kind and attentive host. An excellent place to stay.

    Mark2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very comfortable annex attached to the owners house but very private. It’s surprisingly spacious, everything is set out beautifully and the breakfast is great, especially the Bircher muesli! Convenient for Charmouth village and the beach and has a private parking space.

    Sue2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second stay at Tracey's place which says it all really. Lovely accommodation which is spotlessly clean and furnished to a high standard. Plenty of food and drink, simply everything you need for a perfect stay.

A generously proportioned and self-contained, one bedroomed ground floor apartment attached to our home. Located alongside the river Char, the property has a large mature garden guests can enjoy. We are in a secluded spot 15 minutes level walk to the beach and only a few minutes away from the shops, cafes and pubs. We also welcome dogs but a maximum of two are accepted.
Kingfishers is our detached family home in the seaside village of Charmouth, on Dorset's beautiful Jurassic coast. Attached to our home is a generously proportioned, self-contained, one bedroomed apartment. With it's own private entrance, plenty of parking and a private outside terrace its a great place to come as a couple or with the family. Our apartment comes with all the mod cons and is finished to a high standard throughout.
Charmouth a thriving local village with all the amenities one could ask for. Nestled among the cliffs of the stunning and world famous Jurassic coast, the local beach is gently shelving and great for fossilising. With countless walks from your doorstep, it really is an amazing spot to holiday in. Our closest train station is Axminster station which is a 10 minute drive away and can take you directly to London Waterloo or Exeter St Davids.
  • A great find.

This spacious Maisonette has just been refurbished to a very high standard. A stones throw from the beautiful Golden Cap in Charmouth this fabulous holiday home is perfect for guests who want to explore this area of outstanding natural beauty. Ideal for a walking holiday or perfect for holidaying with family by the sea. This place is really very lovely. It comfortably sleeps 5 and it has everything you need from TV's in every room, wifi , fully fitted kitchen and shower rooms and a cosy lounge.
Coronavirus- Please be assured that due to the current situation I am making sure this property is cleaned thoroughly with AnitVirus products and every door knob , light switch and surface has been given special attention. This lovely property is completely self contained and there is only 1 confirmed case in the whole of Dorset ( 14/3/20). Whilst I appreciate the huge concern I am wanting guests to understand that you can come here to get away from it all and relax and spend some quality time in a beautiful location. Summer dates available! This wonderful holiday home is really very lovely. It has been completely refurbished throughout with modern features and a well manicured garden which is dog and child friendly. The views from here are spectacular as it is so close to the beautiful coastline of Charmouth on the Jurassic coast. It literally will take you 1 minute to get to the sea and the path to Golden Cap from here which is famous for fossil hunting and its beauty. As you enter the property you will instantly see you have made a good choice. It is perfect for walkers, dog lovers and families and if it is a day spent at the beach or snuggling up with a good book and a glass of wine you can be comfortable and happy here come rain or shine. It has a fully fitted kitchen and comfy sofas , fluffy towels, good wifi connection, big TVs and a wonderful shower room. The 2 big bedrooms consist of a large master bedroom with lovely views and the other bedroom is larger and has enough room for a double and a single bed. All the furniture and bedding is of a high standard and new and the fabulous breakfast bar with overhead Vespa lights is really cool and quirky. I have huge experience in being a host and this property is a wonderful holiday home for 5 people, located in a beautiful location and it is really great value for what you get. Charmouth is hugely popular and Lyme Regis is only 5 minutes drive from here. These quaint little seaside towns are unspoilt and have a really arty , laid back vibe with small independent shops which sell all sorts of individual things from homeware to gifts and clothes and lots of amazing country pubs and art galleries to enjoy. It is no wonder that this area remains one of the top 5 most searched for places to stay in the U.K. We look forward to you staying and are confident that memories of a lifetime will be made here.
  • Lovely spot for exploring Charmouth and surrounding area. Comfy living space and nice views across the hills and beach. We had a great stay. Only downside was dog hairs on the carpets from previous guests, but we hoovered them up no problem with the vacuum provided.

Great to have a fire in the lounge and a washing machine and separate dryer. Highly recommended cottage! Top tip... don’t use the upstairs toilet at night as the flush is noisy!

  • What a gem! Beautiful little annex with large living area with bed, sofa and kitchenette and en-suite. All very clean and packed with all the essentials to make your stay comfortable. Peaceful area but close enough to Lyme Regis and other outstanding places to visit. You felt in the middle of nowhere but always knew Lizzi was next door if any problems and they gave you all the privacy you needed. Would definitely recommend if you are looking to explore the Jurassic Coast.

The Balcony Suite has stunning views of Golden Cap. It has its own part of the terrace. The Suite has a very comfortable luxurious feel, ideal for a relaxing break on the Jurassic coast. French doors open out from this area onto the balcony/sun terrace. There is a fully tiled wet room with power shower, bathroom. small Fridge containing continental breakfast, stocked daily
Located in the hillside in Lyme bay Coast is Seascape Suite, featuring magnificent views of golden cap and uninterrupted views of the coast and countryside, from the Luxury of it's own private section of the balcony. Guests have a small fridge, coffee machine and kettle. Specialist Jink Teas, Dorset musli, milk, yogurts, fruit bowl and pastries are provided.
Friendly, with everything you need in the village. For the more adventurous, there are plenty of watersports to be had in Lyme Regis & West Bay, paddle boarding, swimming, surfing, kiteboarding, ribbing, sailing & deep sea fishing
  • Beautiful space, great view. All round relaxing which is exactly what we wanted.

    Sonja2019-11-24T00:00:00Z

  • We had the most delightful weekend at Becklands and would dearly love to return again soon. Hilary has created a cosy and welcoming space with a lovely rustic feel and a real charm. The bedroom is beautiful with a huge bed and a lovely en-suite bathroom with a bath which is welcome after a long walk. There is also a shower in the downstairs bathroom and the kitchen is well equipped. We were sorry to leave the peace and quiet of the gorgeous countryside and hope to have more time to visit the farm itself next time. Thank you Hilary for a lovely stay.

  • Hilary’s is an amazing place! Having been in the winter, it is a lovely place to unwind and relax! We took the dogs and did some lovely local walks and Hilary recommended many local places to eat and also gave us the phone number of a local taxi who was able to take us and bring us back!

  • Hilary's place is lovely, beautifully made and decorated, very clean and with really nice touches such as a good selection of books and DVDs, a torch for evening forays out, good wifi and organic soaps etc in the bathroom. Hilary is very welcoming. The cottage is close to the coast (10ish min drive I think) and you can get into Lyme and Bridport easily. If you like birds bring some bins as there are many species on site. I would stay again.

  • Lovely quirky place, would be fantastic in the summer (we visited in January) Lovely to see organic, vegan products in the property and the hosts' way of life.

  • This place is beautiful! Such a relaxing and cosy place to stay, the underfloor heating is incredible and the bed is huge. Good location near some lovely beaches, only noise you wake up to is birds singing (and sometimes the donkey 😂) Would highly recommend this as a place to stay!

Larx Nest is a lovely private annexe in Lyme Regis, with it’s own private entrance, private outside space and off road parking, situated in a quiet residential area. A pleasant 15 minute riverside walk to the beach and town, with it’s many shops, pubs and restaurants. There is a public footpath adjacent and the South West Coast Path is less than a 10 minute walk away.
Larx Nest is a newly converted self contained annexe, separate from our house, with it’s own entrance, and self check-in with key safe. There is ample parking on the drive and patio doors to a private, sunny outside space. The accommodation consists of a main studio with double bed, 2 poang chairs, smart TV, small unit with kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery and glasses. There is also a small fridge. Whilst there are no cooking facilities, you are most welcome to bring back a takeaway! There is also a hairdryer, free WiFi, USB socket, full length mirror and hooks/hangers for clothes. The en-suite shower room has towels provided. Outside is a peaceful private decked area exclusively for you, with a table and 2 chairs.
  • Spotlessly clean and easy to find. There’s a nice river walk down into the town. I recommend a visit to Lyme Regis Brewery and the pizza at Pocco Pizza is delicious!

  • Perfect little bolt hole for a night in Lyme Regis. Quite high up the hill but lovely walk down and taxis aren’t too expensive back up! Quiet, clean, well thought out space.

Get away from it all with a stay in our wonderful beach hut. Wake up to the spectacular views and the sounds of the sea. Monmouth Beach is just next to the famous Cobb Harbour. The Beach Hut has a veranda that you can sit out on and enjoy the views. The Chalet is suitable for couples or even a small family, as it can sleep upto 4.
  • Lovely beach chalet, and a really unique opportunity to stay right on the beach and hear the waves crashing at night. Really cosy place.

  • I spent 4 nights in the cabin, to go fossil hunting with my 10-year-old son. We had a great time. The cabin is well-equipped, close to town, which can be reached by public transport. Highly recommended.

  • A cosy, stylish chalet in a perfect location on the beach. It was so peaceful yet only a few minutes walk from the harbour, beach and shops. The welcome wine, milk and biscuits were very much appreciated. Looking forward to staying again!

  • Fantastic little beach hut. Amazing location (quiet enough to get some real peace and just enjoy the surroundings but only a 5 minute walk into lyme). Acomodation was very clean and well laid out, kitchen was small but fully functioning and well packed with everything required to cook some proper meals (not just a microwave). Bed was comfortable and quirky being up on the mezzanine area. Bathroom clean and well presented, shower was powerful. All in all this was an excellent place to stay for a midweek break and myself and partner wouldn't have changed a thing.

  • This is an absolutely stunning place to stay. 27 monmouth beach had everything we could have wished for and more. Incredibly spacious for a beach hut, beautiful scenery and spectacular views of the stars when staying in the mezzanine. Sarah and Niel responded quickly to any queries we had and on arrival we were pleasantly surprised with a bottle of wine, as well as having milk tea and coffee there for us. The beach hut was cleaned to a high standard and all the equipment you needed for making meals were available. The wet room was to high standard as well as all the furnishings, and of course parking at the back was an added bonus. We have stayed at Lyme Regis many times before, however this little gem was by far the best. We can't wait to go again. Tanya and James

  • Everything about this place is just amazing!! So close to the town but it’s such a peaceful place to stay. We could hear the sea all night and it was amazing. Great hosts who left help booklets around the house. Please stay here to experience the surroundings. I can’t wait to stay here again

    Christina2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very well situated beach hut as described, with lovely views. There is a just a short walk into the centre of Lyme Regis with all its shops, restaurants and cafes.

    Jane2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay in Neil & Sarah’s place. Great location and smooth check-in process. Top tip - guests should check out the mezzanine at night for a great view of the clear sky. Thanks very much Neil and Sarah it was indeed the kind of getaway we are hoping for x
