Had an amazing stay at Sally's guesthouse at Acacia Bay. The accommodation was just what we were looking for, with a comfy bed, well stocked kitchen, and high pressure shower. We are keen to coke back next time we are in the area. Thanks Sally!

Murray & Jos stayed up late to greet us at our arrival despite the slight delay in our roadtrip from Napier to Kinloch. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful studio with some of the best linen and towels we've had so far in our NZ trip. You have unobstructed view directly from your bed of the peak of Mt. Tongariro and lake Taupo whenever weather permits. The breakfast provided included all kinds of delicious local produces you need to start a full day of fun. Murray also gave us great suggestions for local thermal spa booking and the famous Huka falls. As my partner said we would only wish to stay much longer next time. I highly recommend this BNB to everyone!

We stayed here for one night before doing the Timber Trail. It’s about 15 minutes drive to the Timber Trail shuttles, which was very handy for us. The unit is beautifully decorated and everything was super clean. Jill & John are friendly, thoughtful hosts, who even provided some fresh eggs and cereal for our breakfast. Beautiful surroundings and very peaceful.

The Mez is a great place to stay while exploring the Taupo area. I really enjoyed being away from town and looking out over the beautiful gardens. There are a few roads near-by so getting around is easy. The kitchen is really well-equipped and I appreciated being able to prepare meals. Bed and couch are very comfy, the desk was great for writing my travel journal and the shower has great water pressure. Jos and Richard were very helpful.

Exactly what we were looking for. The cabin was easy to find and clean. The check in was super quick (thanks to the reception staff as I was desperate to use the facilities after a long drive!) Shower was lovely and hot and the area was walkable with great restaurants and views. Fantastic place, thanks so much.

We used Jess’s as a stopover during a long road trip with a 2yr old. It was just what we needed and far enough off the main road to be nice and quiet. Heat pump gave us great cooling and warmth during an unseasonable cold snap. The bed was roomy and comfy. Jess was easily reached and responsive. Thanks Jess for having us

We were very welcomed by Alan and his cute dog "Zen". Alan is a great person. He gave us a lot of recommendations for nice walks in and around Kuratau. We joined him and Zen for a walk in the morning along the beach and had have nice talks with him during our stay. We enjoyed the stay at Alan's accommodation. We didn't miss something. We really can recomment Alan's accommodation.

We had a lovely weekend away at Juilets place. The cottage is warm and cozy. Bathroom is amazing with great shower pressure and the bathtub was so lovely at the end of a big day out. Juliet was super friendly and easy to deal with even giving us info on sunrise times to get the most beautiful views. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Juliet ☺️

We had a wonderful stay an Jannel‘s tiny house. It was perfect to explore the Tongariro national park - just a 30 min to 1h ride to the most important hikes in the park. The proximity to Ohakune was great to quickly get some groceries and take aways. The restaurants were nice! Still, the location of the tiny house 15 min out of town was great to relax and watch stunning sunrises. Jannel and her family were very welcoming and friendly.

The elevation of property in Acacia Bay ( not far from centre) provides spectacular views of Taupo and surrounding area. Lodge was extremely spacious and comfortable with quality fittings. The hosts provide little extras to welcome you and kitchenette has all the aspects to make breakfasts and meals. We would love to return to enjoy the fabulous view, local Acacia Bay restaurant and hot pools.

The view of lake Taupo from Jade’s place was amazing! It was very peaceful, we loved sitting on the deck in the evening looking at the lake enjoying a glass of wine! The suite is very spacious which was nice. It was a great spot to stay and enjoy Taupo( a 5 min drive to the town and lakefront) and to do day trips to Rotorua.
