Medieval Fort, Sud Ardèche stunning loft with pool

Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . There is full access to the large garden including an 10mx4m in-ground heated swimming pool .

Round room set in the holm oaks above the stream with a suspended terrace. Bathtub, toilet, sink, double bed. The cabin is located above the Lou Abeilhs farmhouse with a bird's eye view of the valley. To access it from the parking lot there is a small path of 150 m and about forty steps. La Glycine in Mas de la Giralde

Welcome to La Glycine at Mas de la Giralde in the serene and restful commune of Payzac. The room is part of the main house and overlooks the large gardens and the pool with views to the distant mountains. Guests staying in La Glycine will be served a continental breakfast on the covered terrace. Guests have shared use of the large swimming pool (11m x 5m) from May to September, and a fully equipped summer kitchen is available for use.

At the foot of the cliffs, enjoy the quietness and fresh air of our courtyard in the shade of a massive linden tree, or entertain yourself with bowls games (called 'petanque') on the central place of the village!
