Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Rockingham County

This was the best experience I've had with AirBnB! The house itself was unmatched... even bigger/more space that the photos made it look like. The beds were unbelievably comfortable, and the rooms themselves were so homey. Laurinda was a perfect host, always responsive, and truly thought of everything. The house was fully stocked with everything we could need. The experience was a dream, and the perfect spot for a trip to Harrisonburg. Close to downtown, close to JMU, and easy to find from 81. It has everything you could need and more, I can't recommend it more highly.

Wonderful home and location. Home was very clean, beds were comfortable, and we loved having the kayaks available. Peaceful, private and quiet with incredible views! Easy drive to surrounding towns and Shenandoah NP. We had a great stay!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The place was nice and clean, and we had everything we needed. Pictures accurately depict the house. Host does a good job of providing all of the details you need for your stay. Trash drop off is a bit out of the way, but if you aren’t on a strict schedule when you depart, the drive is enjoyable.Would stay here again.

Great house! As others have said, the pictures don’t do it justice. The property is very peaceful and private with beautiful scenery. We had a relaxing time at the house and enjoyed the hot tub and the game room. There are a variety of restaurants to choose from in town, only about ten minutes away. The hosts were helpful and very responsive. Very much enjoyed the stay!

We loved our stay! This is a great location mid-way up the mountain so it’s not so dicey getting down for groceries, dinner, etc but it’s still very convenient getting up for Massanutten activities. Beds were comfortable and there were lots of pillows and towels. We loved the filtered water fill station. Troy was very proactive with information and helpful hints and very responsive to any questions.

House was very nice, lots of nice little touches. Easy directions on everything. Very communicative. Not in their control or their fault but it was a bit hard to enjoy the hot tub and fire pit with the smell of manure, so just FYI depending on the wind!

My family and I very much enjoyed our weekend stay at the Cypress House. It is conveniently located just a half hour from Harrisonburg and James Madison University, its close to the Massanutten resort area, and close to the Luray caverns. Pet friendly was a plus for us and there is a large yard for you and the pet to enjoy. The house itself is charming with hardwood floors throughout. Main bathroom with tub and shower is located on the second floor. The kitchen has modern appliances and has a Keurig to use as well. Parking for about 3 or 4 cars should you need it. Host was very communicative and the overall process was very smooth. I would definitely look to stay here again, especially if I were looking to take advantage of all of the outdoor offerings in the area. Also a great option for JMU families during those busy weekends!

I originally rented this airbnb to accommodate a construction work crew that was coming in to help out with a project. Due to unforseen schedule changes, i was unable to use this place to it's full duration but my workcrew enjoyed their week long stay. Having said that, Suzy was a remarkable host. She was able to confirm the reservation with less than 24 hrs notice. Her property is beautiful and relaxing and a perfect place to recover from a long day of work. The host welcomed the crew with a freshly baked loaf of banana bread which we were not expecting. It was unexpected but a welcoming touch.

Kristen and Chris' place is a hidden gem! The unit was comfortable, spacious, private and exceptionally clean. It was conveniently located to many shops and restaurants as well JMU's campus. There was ample street parking. While it is a basement apartment in an older home, I could barely hear anyone walking upstairs. I highly recommend their place and will be staying there again!

We had a quick but wonderful night at Helen’s. It is away from downtown so quite peaceful in a nice neighborhood. The space is comfortable with a big living area, nice bathroom with all the supplies needed, and two good sized bedrooms. There is also a cute play area for kids in the living area. Even though it doesn’t have a traditional kitchen area, it is well supplied for heating up food in a microwave, and there are snacks, tea, coffee, and fresh milk and juice in the mini fridge. Restaurants are only 5-10 min. away by car. The price and privacy are the best part. Highly recommend!

We’re an outdoorsy family and we all loved our stay in Glenn’s home, right by the water with easy to launch area for the kayaks, no light pollution at night to watch a blanket of stars in the sky. Our fur baby loved it just as much and took a liking to Glenn. Thank you and hope to be back this summer!!!

Absolutely loved our stay! The place was spotless, cozy, and just as described. The host was incredibly welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed. Great location too—with a beautiful view. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

carrie's place is very inviting and clean, also peaceful, you will hear the dog occasionally but didn't bother us, bed is comfy , bathroom is big, loved the hot hair fan. it has everything we needed.

Have stayed here multiple times now but this visit was specifically for my daughter and son in law to enjoy a babymoon getaway. The river is easily accessible so they floated in tubes one day and took their canoe out another. They were able to take their dog as it is dog friendly. They grilled out and enjoyed the beautiful decks around the home. Resturant suggestions were layed out with local menus as well as local attractions. Luray Caverns is close by, Cooters, from Dukes of Hazards store serves a great lunch, and the drive and scenery all around is incredible. Sharon is the best host and always available by text or phone for questions. Check in and out were simple.

Very clean, nicely furnished b&b. Beds were comfortable too. The views out the window were lovely in fall with the changing leaves. We found the stay peaceful and quiet. The apartment had everything we needed. It was a little light on supplies (e.g. detergent pods, shampoo and conditioner) but we had brought our own supplies so it wasn’t an issue.

The place does have an excellent view, and the location is perfect. It’s under 30 min from a lot of great trails, and even the immediate area is lovely to explore. The one thing I will say is that the condo is on the older side, so don’t expect fresh, new appliances. Nonetheless, everything (including the heating) works flawlessly. Patricia and Tracy were very responsive and very helpful, ready to help with whatever I needed. Another important note is all the hills, in that the condos around here are all literally built into them. Be prepared to walk uphill and put stress on your car. Other than that, there’s nothing I would change.

Andy was very responsive and gave clear instructions. We had been at this resort a few times in the past and the unit we received was very nicely appointed and updated. We had all amenities and were super close to the indoor pool and gym. Comfortable.

It was great! I didn’t realize just how close it is to the slopes. We just walked straight to the resort. The people at the resort were nice and the random people we met. It’s a great spot to stay.

Wonderful weekend getaway for our family! Jennifer was very responsive and the staff and facilities on site were excellent!

Perfect location for the slopes. Ok, you don’t get the view of them from the condo but the ground/first floor location is so worth it!
